While the front desk staff and hygienists were amazing, I was disappointed that I was told, halfway through my visit, I needed to pay another $200 on top of the $360 I was quoted in order to finish my cleaning. In the end, I could only afford to have my bottom teeth cleaned. I felt like the poor American in Michael Moore’s documentary Sicko, who had to choose which fingers to have sown back on. Imagine a nail salon only doing one foot or hand and then telling you you have to pay more for the other. It also reminded me of a dodgy moving company I hired in the past, who dropped my all belongings on the 1st floor and told me I had to pay more if I wanted them to bring them upstairs. I was paying for a service: cleaning and exam. I did not realize it was a timed-service like that of an escorts. Even then, I was in and out in 1.5 hours when I was promised 2. I may look elsewhere to finish my cleaning but that’s likely to cost even more.

I just had some dental work done with Dr. Fereidouni and it was a great experience. This would be my third time visiting this dental office and throughout all three visits I was met with kind welcoming staffs. Dr. Fereidouni was very thorough and patient with explaining what the treatments were going to be. Never once did I feel uncomfortable and I was always informed on what procedures were to be carried out next. My appointment lasted for 2 hours, but it felt much shorter. If you are an anxious individual, I would recommend this place.

This is my third review but 2 years later and I still stand by my first review as this dental practice is of the highest standard. I have found the people at the front desk to be very courteous and helpful. Maureen, my hygienist, has been cleaning my teeth for a number of years and she is very thorough and hasn't caused me any discomfort. Dr. Farshad Fereidouni, my dentist, is also very courteous, gentle and seems to do excellent work. I would highly recommend this dental practice.

These guys have no idea of how an "appointment" works. I was a client for several years and each and every single dental appointment would get moved, delayed, or just plain cancelled. If you are someone that has anything else to do in the day, this place simply will not work. IT was so bad that my friends and colleague started to make bets on my appointments being cancelled. There clerical system is astonishingly terrible. The dentists and hygienists are very good, but not worth the pain of dealing with the appointment system here. I found an alternate dentist down the street on 5th ave about a year ago and couldn't be happier! (We set up an appointment for me to come in so I can plan my day around it, and I come in and have the appointment, simple.) *Update and Response to owner: I appreciate your response to my review, and I sincerely wish I could have left much more positive feedback! I didn't want to go through the hassle of changing dental offices, however the lack of respect for my time as a patient is simply unacceptable, and it still persists even with your new name and management: I have a couple friends/colleagues that were still patients here, however just recently left for the exact same reason I described above. Despite your indication that you have rectified these issues, the scheduling & appointment practices seems to have gotten worse since I left. Patients cannot be expected to deal with your lack of respect for their time. I'm sorry, but your patient booking system that has apparently "been upgraded to the best available standard" is still unreliable and unsatisfactory.

West Broadway Dentist is tge best dental clinicive ever been to. They've been my dentist for over a decade and cared for my family as it's grown. When Dr Hacker retired I was nervous because he was so gentle and had such integrity but my whole family had such good care from the whole staff there that I trusted them to only work with the best . Ater two years with Fereidouni, I can say I trust him completely. He's gentle, takes his time, discuss all options and advocates for the most conservative first. Of course the wonderful hygiene and admin staff is the same friend and skilled team they always have been. I'm lucky that these are the only dental team my kids have ever known. I've been coming here for a few years now (used to be across the street) and it's great. There's the New Yorker magazine in the waiting area and the hygienists have been friendly and thorough. If I could pick on something, it would be no coat/bag area in the front as you have to take everything with you into the cleaning suite.

I have a lot of anxiety about the dentist office. I wasn't raised with a lot of awareness of how to take proper care of my teeth and I hadn't been to see a dentist in a long time because of my past experiences with other practices (ie: the hygienists were rough and shamed me for not going more often, being treated like a cash machine and not realizing that cost was a factor especially when I didn't have access to dental coverage before). But, I finally decided that I needed to see a dentist because of a recent, really bad toothache. Wow, this place is wonderful. The entire team is welcoming, non-judgmental, approached tests on a consent basis, and they made sure I felt comfortable with what was happening every step of the way. They were so accommodating and allowed my partner to be in the room with me for support. Dr. Katie Chung is very kind and she checked in with me every so often to make sure I was feeling okay during the appointment. She was very mindful of what would be best for me for my upcoming procedure, given my anxiety. Dr. Chung and her team were matter-of-fact about what was happening with my teeth and what needed to be done but they approached the topics from a place of caring and sensitivity to my anxiety. So yeah it's all a bit scary, and even though I haven't had an actual cleaning session or procedure with this office yet (today's appointment was to assess what needed to be done) I feel comfortable knowing I'll be in good hands and that I will be treated well every step of the way. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a safe and comfortable space.

I have been going to West Broadway dentist for cleaning and cavity filling for nearly 20 years! Their staff is both professional and competent, The hygenists and dentists always listen to your concerns and find a solution best suited for your needs. What is unique about their office is that they will only do and recommend only the peocedures that are necessary so they really put the customer first. I have had my dental cleaning done with Anita and she is amazing and makes the whole experience comfortable and pain free. Their record keeping is always accurate and they will schedule X rays on a schedule and only when needed. Dr. Farshad Fereidouni does an excellent job, he has done several procedures on my teeth, one of them a very hard to reach cavity near the wisdom teeth and he did a very skillful job of filling the cavity so I did not have to get a root canal and crown done on the teeth, so he also saved me alot of money! So I would highly recommend West Broadway dentists for anyone that needs to cover all their dental needs!

I’ve only been there the once, but all of the 4 staff I interacted with were friendly, helpful, didn’t make me feel embarrassed for not having been to the dentist in 20yrsrs. The hygienist did a really good job of. CLeaning my teeth. EDIT They botched my filling so that even after two days I was in huge pain on that side. I went back, they filed down the overbite and told me it would be better. It wasn’t. It took SIX MONTHS for me to be able to chew on that side again. Two years later, the filling they put in completely broke off. I went to a new dentist, and the difference was like night and day. They told me they’d expect the filling to last a lot longer than two years. They showed me on the X-ray that there was an overhang of the filling BETWEEN the teeth which they filed down for me- surely this is what was causing me incredible pain for 6 months making it impossible to chew on that side. The pain only lessensed when the TEETH MOVED APART to accommodate the overhang of the filling leaving a gap between my molars where food would get constantly caught. Also, I told the new dentist “oh I figured out why they call it freezing- because when it wears off it feels hot” she looked really confused. Later that day when the freezing wore off- it just wore off. It just gradually ceased to be numb where it previously was numb. Why then, at this dentist ^^ did it feel like my mouth was BURNING as I felt the freezing wear off? I see now why the new dentist was so confused. So. Having not been to another dentist in 20 years and the industry having changed significantly in that time I didn’t know what to expect From this dentist. I knew from the experience with the filling that I wouldn’t go back there, but it wasn’t until I went to another dentist that I realised just how bad the treatment I received had been.

I had a wonky filling which Dr. Fereidouni replaced with a beautiful composite filling. The previous filling was so uneven it altered my bite and made my retainer not fit properly. Dr. Fereidouni took the care to polish my filling to the very detail, checking with a bite paper to make sure it fit my teeth perfectly. I am so thankful he took the care to fix my teeth. He also has a very kind and caring approach, he gave me advice on how to floss so I don't damage my gums, and made sure to check in often how I was doing during the session with the filling. All in all a great experience and would go there again.

I know, it's hard to find any kind of doctor only by reading reviews. In my case I started visiting West Broadway Dentist when I moved to Kits by recommendation, as some of my co-workers were already happy with their services. I was not disappointed at all. In fact it's the best dentist I ever went to. Front desk is extremely competent and welcoming, like the rest of the personal. They give good advice and really care about your dental health. Up to this day my cleanings have been done by Anita, a kind and caring person (thanks!). My recommendation: when she ask which flavor of polish you want, ask for the cinnamon one :) Totally recommend. 10 out of 5 stars!

I chipped my front tooth when I bit down on my fork. I have been going to West Broadway Dentist for a couple years but not until yesterday needed anything other than cleanings. I was able to get in right away. I am so happy with how Dr Fereidouni checked my tooth and then let me know my options and the differences with each one. He did a composite filling and it turned out so well. You can not see any colour difference or really where the filling part is. I am very pleased with the entire experience!

This practice used to be run by Dr Chris Hacker, who is a fantastic dentist and lovely person. However, he recently sold his practice and unfortunately the quality has gone significantly downhill since then. I recently had a particularly bad experience there and my entire family is moving to a new dentist office because of it. One of the dentists didn't properly sanitize their equipment during my teeth cleaning, creating a mouth infection. Then, when I went back to ask them why I was in so much pain, they misdiagnosed it as TMJ. It took 5 days to figure out they had given me the incorrect diagnosis, and get proper treatment from a doctor. It was the most painful 5 days I've ever experienced. I called in to inform them of the mistake and received no apology or explanation for what happened.

Through the years with Dr. Hacker and Dr. Fereidouni my experiences have always been positive. Neither doctor ever pushed me into getting dental work, they have always explained what was possible, provided options and allowed me to proceed in my own time. Recently, I was in for some dental work and deep cleaning. The dental hygienist was amazingly patient and gentle. Dr. Fereidouni was also. He 'talked' me through each of the injections and steps. He never hurried and was always professional. The front office staff were friendly and efficient. I particularly appreciated that this office sends out an email reminder for the appointment.

Honest dentist! I was referred to see a dentist located on Oak Street from my hygienist at my periodontist office. When I saw him he told me I needed to do a new crown for a cavity, I came for a second opinion at WBD and I was told I didn't even have a cavity! Saved me a lot of money and time, thank you! Have been going to this dental office for probably 17-18 years, previously with Dr. Hacker, and have been seeing Dr. Fareidouni since 2017 when Dr. Hacker retired. I've seen Dr. Chung once for a quick fix, and she seemed excellent as well. Great team all around, Jordan and Ruby at reception included! I have a lot of issues with gum sensitivity and jaw tightness during restorative work, and Dr. Fareidouni and Toni are incredibly accommodating and gentle, to make it as comfortable an experience as possible. Also love to see Maureen for the cleanings. Highly recommended!

I had an appointment today and once again the service and overall experience was incredible. Dr. Fereidouni and Toni did a beautiful job on a filling I needed and left my teeth looking immaculate. I was also in need of a top and bottom mouth guard for spacing/grinding and Dr. Fereidouni and Toni explained the entire process to me in detail which left me feeling calm, comfortable and confident. We have been going to west broadway dentist for around 20 years. I was optimistic that when Dr. Hacker left the practice he would choose someone with the same qualities that he possessed to take over the practice. Well I can tell you I could not be happier with Dr. Fereidouni. Recently my mother cracked a tooth and he was nothing but helpful in a bad situation. I have had 4 fillings and a gold crown completed by him in the past year. He does amazing work. His assistant Toni is also great and I always enjoy seeing Maureen for my regular cleaning. The girls at the front desk Jordan and Gina are always accommodating. 5 stars all around.

Dr. Farshad and his team are all very friendly and welcoming. All of the staff are gentle on teeth, gums and procedures. They have all the latest technology such as 3D mouth scan and all the rest to give a detailed conclusion for tips and recommendations. I have been getting regular checks at another dentist previously where they've been good though nowhere as professional as this place. The hygienist is very caring and knows her stuff. I highly recommend this place. If you're a new customer you also get a starting kit with an Oral B electric tooth brush, tooth paste, floss and lip balm. Pretty good I say. Would be great to see a water cooler in there next time though.
