Writing this long review because one of them helped me. Moved to Barrie and I was referred by my boss to go Cedar's. Read the reviews (very very good) and was skeptical cause lets be real Barrie loves to support local (not a bad thing, but often biased reviews). I had Dr. Ava. I was so nervous going in because it's been so long since I did any dental work. Just had fillings, was in and out in like 45 minutes. She made sure I was comfortable, helped me prioritize goals better, the whole thing went really well like I swear she can do this in her sleep (she did not lol). Apologize for not remembering the assistants name but they were such a great team. Did I mention there was no pain? ???? Anyways great experience, not scared of dentists anymore. I didn't think I would ever come out with a positive dental experience but here I am writing a review about it. On the financial side of things, I'm not gonna lie it's expensive and I am a contractor paying out of pocket. But its teeth and anything face related I want the best team lol. They were my best dental experience so far, and I've been to 3 different places (for reference). The receptionists are also really awesome.

Customer service can be poor, waited an hour with my 10 month old baby because they had to shut the place down as their sanitization machine failed. Nobody tells me , instead the clerk asked me why I didnt notice no one in the waiting room ??? My doctor had to call and apologize to me for driving an hour and waiting an hour.

Multiple spam texts from them about having an old filling. I have not seen them for almost 2 years now and the last notes I have on record from my last appointment have no mention of a cavity and as a medical professional myself this is something I would pay particular close attention to. When questioned about it I was ignored. Be careful who you give your business to, they might provide satisfactory care but the way they are trying to attract business isn’t ethical.

The girls are great at White Cedar Dental but the dentist is terrible. I had a root canal performed by Dr.Bashi and he was the worst dentist I’ve ever had. I’ve had three other root canals performed by other dentists. They were a walk in the park. Dr.Bashi seemed rushed right of the start, forgoing even using a rubber damn. He was rammy with the drill. He managed to miss one canal and drill through the top of my tooth into my jaw, which caused an infection. Once he knew what he’d done he just abandoned the root canal and dumped me onto a specialist all the while still charging. This has cost me a lot of money due to his hack job. DO NOT USE THIS Dentist. It’s a shame because as I said the girls are great and do a bang up job cleaning and handling customers. Maybe Dr.Bashi should just retire and let the real dentists work on teeth.

They made me very comfortable the whole way, was little to no waiting time and left feeling good about continuing visits with the dentist. Dr. Bashir is an exemplary dentist--one who changed my negative outlook on the profession since being unfairly treated (in terms of cost, quality of work [or lack thereof] by a few dentists in the past. I am pleased with the quality of his work and with his willingness to accommodate my busy (travel-heavy) schedule. It is clear that Dr. Bashir cares about his patients a well as his craft. His assistant was also a real pleasure to talk to (as were all of the staff) and, as odd as it may sound, I actually look forward to going back to the dentist.

Almost always the front booking staff mess up appointment bookings. Always confirm your appointment as I have wasted several trips to find out my appointment never got booked in. Of all the Dental facilities in the GTA this is the first I have found where the staff not only appear to care but genuinely do. Both myself and wife have received 'weekend' phone calls after a procedure to see if everything is OK, pain threshold etc. They fit you in with no appointment for troubling issues at no extra charge...Service like this is thing of the past. Cannot thank the staff at White Cedar dental enough! I was having extreme pain after a root canal at another dentist office a few days ago. A close friend recommended I call White Cedar dental, they fit me in right away despite already being extremely busy, the staff could see I was anxious and emotional when I arrived from the pain and lack of sleep, they were so empathetic got me in right away before I had even finished the intake forms and fixed me up. I had a dentist appointment last Thursday at 1130am. I had to take the bus which took an hour and a half. I had one appointment to have some cleaning done. They rearranged their whole day to get all my work done. I had all my teeth cleaned my filling fixed and my front tooth fixed. My smile ????looks amazing. Then they sent me home in an urber. Easily the most professional and accommodating staff with whom interacting has been a consistent pleasure! The exclusively female customer service staff has without exception provided me with an unparalleled level of undivided personal attention, compassion and technical assistance both in person and through telephone correspondence. For the vast majority of my life, I have dreaded visiting the dentist, avoiding dental care like the plague as an unfortunate consequence of several genuinely awful (at times brutal) experiences beginning in childhood with archaic, insensitive and borderline sadistic dentists (one of whom “(didn’t) believe in novocain” or any other form of pre-procedural freezing) and their correspondingly indifferent and unsupportive staff. However, since I’ve been in the regular care of Dr. Baraz (dentist and clinic co-owner) and her team of friendly, supportive and exceptionally skilled dental assistants for the past two years, I’ve not had a single unpleasant experience...not one! And the quality of the dental work is second to none! In fact, as bizarre as it may sound, I have caught myself actually looking forward to dental appointments where I’m always made to feel comfortable from the second that I walk in the door and the dental chair that historically had been the stuff of nightmares is now not unlike an easy chair in my own living room where my favourite channel (actually noted in my file!) is quickly displayed on one of the wide screen television monitors angled for optimum viewing in accordance with the pending procedure (the only things missing that would make the experience any more relaxed and leisurely are a cocktail and a bowl of snacks!). The clinic also provides the option of nitrous oxide (“laughing gas”), the only facility in the area to my knowledge that is licensed to offer this highly effective analgesic supplement. In short, I am absolutely thrilled with the quality of care that I’ve consistently received at White Cedar Dental; I only wish for my teeth’s sake that I had discovered this wonderful establishment a lot sooner! I wholeheartedly recommend White Cedar Dental to anyone interested in receiving the epitome of quality (and painless!!) dental care!

My visits with White Cedar are always pleasant, despite my fear of dentists. My most recent visit was exceptional. I didn’t feel the needle at all, and felt absolutely none of the procedure. The freezing wore off almost as soon as the procedure was over. There was no pain during or after my visit. I was having some trouble breathing at times, and the doctor was more than patient with me, giving me extra rest breaks and constantly asking how I was holding up. This was just one of many pleasant visits for me and my family. I can’t recommend White Cedar enough.

Two bad experiences. We were told for my son he had 4 cavities and would require 3 visits to repair them and the a last visit for cleaning. We paid these costs out of our pocket. We completed the 3 visits to complete the the repairs of his cavities then they told us he has two more which would require 2 more visits. Imagine the shock. My husband asked to see the x-rays of the two new cavities that they were talking about. They were not able to show us. We thought it was a mistake as maybe the two dentists that he saw in between visits may not have shared information between them. My next experience was even worse! I did a filling in tooth that previously (done by another dentist) had a filling which came out after 4 years. I took an appointment to have the filling replaced. I called a few days later to explain something was wrong. Chucks of food would lodge in the tooth that they filled and it was really uncomfortable, I was also constantly sticking my tongue in the gap. I was not able to get a follow-up appointment until 3 weeks later!!!!! On the day of the follow up appointment I called to do the covid screeing. I was told I had no appointment! I told the lady I received a text message on Jan 11th reminding me of this appointment. She said she would call me back as she did not know what happen to my appointment. She called me back basically to tell me the dentist said no need for me to come as I need a crown. (Remember I took the day off from work for the appointment!)For several phone calls going back and forth I explained that I had a prior filling for 4 years without a crown and something was wrong with the filling they did. I finally got annoyed and ask to see another dentist since the dentist who did the filling did not want to see me and acting in the end as if she would be doing me a favor to see me! The correct thing would have to receive me check to see what was my concern. This dentist did everything to brush me away. I took the day from work for this appointment imagine my frustration! I was then given an appointment later in the day with another dentist. I received a phone call again from them stating the owner wanted to see me. So again my appointment was changed 4th time for the day. I arrived I felt very uncomfortable. I was handed a 15$ Walmart card. It was a gesture of kindness but I was not happy about the way I was treated. I left the card. The owner came looked at me asked me the issue did a few things in my mouth and left. Did not even take a moment to explain what was happening in my mouth. I had to ask the assistant who was left behind and she gave me a vague answer. My husband and I have decided to move our family of 5 to another dentist office. After these two horrible experiences I will not be returning to White Cedar Dental. I already have found another dentist and I hope we will have a better experience. I will not tell you not to go here I am just sharing my very disappointing experience.

Had a checkup and cleaning today with the clinic. Was very nervous as it was a new clinic for me to be visiting after being with my previous dentist for almost 10 years. The staff were all very friendly and took thorough precautions in regards to COVID. My hygienist was very friendly, eased a lot of my anxiety, she made me feel comfortable, and great bed side manners. She worked with my needs and worked out care plans that would work best with my insurance plan. My dentist - I’m forgetful with names- was very quick and efficient. She was very welcoming and friendly. And also took measures to ensure the best treatment for my teeth. I will be returning in a couple weeks to have some more work done and will update again.

Sometimes they charges their patients extra bill after job done and told their patients that your insurance were not covered a few items in today's job. Come On ! Don't Play Games with your Patients ! (who are not 100% familiar with their insurance plans). They are dealing with insurance directly everyday ! They know exactly what covers or not for each patients' job. They should let patients know ahead that there will be extra bill which are not going to be covered by their insurance ! not when you check out and give you a surprise bill !

He got pictures taken, rides on the dental chair, balloon and toy.. both hygienist and dentist were amazing with him. He needs work done and I have no fear he will be in great hands. All the girls where so helpful with him looking after him so mommy could fill out paperwork and talk in depth with dentist. My first experience at my own dentist was not a good one at all.
