Absolute best thing I've ever done to date is go to Georgian Dental and have Dr. Crosby work on my teeth. He should wearing a white cape, because he is my superhero! For years I've had cosmetic & functional issues with my teeth. I've been quoted previously by another dentist, and fortunately I didn't have the money to do it at the time. Dr. Crosby not only saved me a lot of money by doing it differently, but he also saved me future aggravation by doing it the proper way. I am soo pleased, there are not words to describe how I feel & what its like to be able to smile widely in any type of light. He did the best for my teeth & for my wallet because I paid close to 30% less for a better job. It's been three days and I have never spent as much time in front of the mirror as I have since the procedure. I am super thrilled that I went there and I recommend him to everyone who wants quality work for a reasonable price. I feel like he's changed my life. Oh, and one more thing..... the office is probably the prettiest one I have ever seen. Tastefully decorated with class & sophistication. Just another way to make you feel like a superstar.

The worst dentist you could ever happen upon, I've been in pain for 2 years since having a root canal done at their office and have just now found out their unprofessional work left a foreign object in my sinus cavity. Paid $3,000 for a root canal that lasted a month due to their lack of care. I was then crying in pain in their office begging to have them take the root canal out because I was in so much pain due to them allowing bacteria to reenter the root system and cause an infection after allowing me to keep a temp crown on, rescheduling my appointment several times until the temp crown fell off and then still paying no mind to the circumstances. They still didn't seem to show any concern, they scheduled me almost a month after my temp crown fell off when that is an emergency situation and should be treated as such. The lady (a dentist who has never worked on my teeth) told me I would need to have some of them filled before I could have the infected root canal fixed and told me I would be waiting months in excruciating pain because the fillings needed to be spaced. Take the infected tooth out of my face! If someone is begging and pleading to waste $3,000 you don't try to swindle them into unnessecary fillings. Rude receptionists as well. Their office is nice and fancy so you can tell they like to portray themselves in a certain way but completely lack professionalism and will cost you your teeth. They allowed me to keep a temporary crown on for over a month until it fell off and failed to schedule me in due to being overbooked (um hello, my crown is off and my freshly canaled root is exposed). Even after you've already paid $2,500, they will not give you any care once they have your money. They don't care about your health, they are more worried about making as much money as they can to carry their hefty rent and floral arrangements lining the place. Worst office in Ontario. I have now paid close to $10,000 to fix the mess this office has caused. Just go to a real dentist and save yourself the hassle.

I am a senior and trips to the dentist have always invoked fear in me from an early age. Dr. Tan took time to chat a bit so that I could relax. He was so personable and kind that I did relax. Dr. Tan has certainly learned that his patient is a person first and a patient second. He did a great job - I had no pain at all - although it depends on what needs to be done, of course. You will enjoy his office and his staff is excellent.

I had been needing to get braces in For a while and was always skeptical about getting them done because of some very bad experiences I had had with dentists in the past, I had heard from a close family friend about Georgian dental and the quality services they offer and decided to go in and get some information about what my options were. I spoke to Sirlene she was AMAZING! we had a wonderful consultation she made me feel comfortable with everything from the procedure to the cost, She presented me with various options and gave me the option for a great payment plan I can't wait to go back in and have the procedure done. The Staff really know how to make you feel welcome, the atmosphere is so warm and makes a world of a difference I would recommend this dental office!

Rude, Unprofessional receptionist! ( I will provide the name of the person if interested!) she hung up on me when I politely asked her if I can put her on hold for 5 seconds while she was trying to work around her scheduling system. No tolerance and says my name wrong repeatedly and asks for my availability with an attitude! So glad it happened right off the bat with this clinic because I’m not bringing my business to you! Just got the response that the receptionist had difficulty hearing me. That could never be an excuse to be rude and disrespectful! Lack of professionalism at best!

I see Dr Adam Tan at Georgian Dental in Barrie Ontario. He is a holistic dentist which is the reason I went to him 2.5 years ago. He and his staff team are very friendly, skilled and compassionate. I drive an hour and a half to see him because it's 100% worthwhile. He removed my mercury amalgam fillings using every safety precaution including sending me for a compatibility test to ensure he used materials my body would accept. I spent 5 hours in the chair and they covered me with a warm blanket for comfort. Dr Tan explains everything in understandable terms and does not encourage any unnecessary treatments. I had a tooth extracted by Dr Tan recently and he and his staff made it a bearable experience. I highly recommend Dr Tan especially to those who are fearful of the dentist.

I just wanted to say, AND admit that i am 44yrs old and deathly afraid of the dentist. After 7yrs of NEVER EVER making another appt i got up the nerve to call this number that; I donno... maybe it was fait but who knows right, anyways after this long i haddan extraction done, pretty severe for 1st time back in that chair of doom again LOL but ya know what??... I have NEVER EVER ever been treated SO KINDLY, SO PATIENTLY, SO UNDERTOOD that i actually did it and i cried, not because of pain but because some1 put my fears in their hands and 100x full made me feel like i wasn't a fool and gave me feelings of being WITH ME, not GOING AT ME but WITH ME and that is a very important thing because part if the fear is feeling alone and man handled LOL ???? but Dr. Meghan and her dental assistant made me feel like i just won the Olympics LOL and I conquered something from their kind hearts and souls to the point where i JUST called again and made another appt., hey maybe i waited 2mths but ive ALWAYS ALWAYS waited years and i feel excited to see them again and their beautiful smiles and NON-FAKE attentiveness and respect for me, thats 1 amongst many important things, u can tell the differences between ppl just clocking in & out & just going with the motions and being REAL and JUST in the moment WITH YOU like i said. I almost felt like they were my Moms showing an open heart & love. Hey may sound cheesy but we all have diff fears and 4 ppl to make that go away with a lil compassion like this world needs more of was an AMAZING THING that other dentist offices could learn a lil, OR ALOT from. Dr Tan and his team are incredibly kind professionals. My teenaged kids had their teeth cleaned Tuesday and the experience for them was very positive The girls were lovely and efficient and Aidan was finished in about 15 minutes and Elen, 30. My frustration is that this experience cost $280. I don't have insurance. I don't know why seeing a dentist has to be so incredibly expensive. It frustrates me that dental procedures are not affordable for most people.

Really great dentist. The office itself is in a beautiful building, and the staff are very respectful and professional. The dentist was very understanding of my anxiety and fear of needles, and was honestly amazing. The appointment was very fast, easy, and painless. He counted to 5 with me for the needle and drilling, and explained every step clearly. Really great dentist, can't say that enough!! The only slightly annoying thing is that you have to pay first and then the insurance company reimburses you, but it's totally worth it for the awesome quality of service you receive.

After having nothing but problems with my teeth and dentistry in general my entire adult life ( Im 54 ) I can finally say that all my problems have been resolved for good. After Consulting with DR.Tan I opted for the complete removal of all that was left of my existing teeth and an " all on four " implant procedure for both my upper and lower jaws. Dr.Tans extremely high level of professionalism and obvious care for every patient gave me enough confidence to finally overcome a lifetime of fear and proceed with the treatment plan. I am now less then 1 week post surgery for my bottom jaw and must say I am utterly astounded with the results. Dr tan and his team were able to extract all remaining teeth, place 6 implants in my jaw and install a complete lower set of teeth in one visit and with minimal discomfort. Not only is the result amazing so is the impact of having, for the first time in my life a full set of perfect teeth, I actually feel like smiling and can do so now with complete confidence. I cannot describe how utterly impressed I am with Dr.Tan and his teams at both Georgian Dental Barrie and Georgian Dental Orillia, without them this life changing process would never have happened and I am eternally grateful.

I just had my final appointment to have a bridge put in. In total I had about 5 visits in regards to my broken tooth (from initial consult to the permanent bridge being put in). Dr. Crosby explained my options and was always very friendly and informative at each visit. Now there is no more gap from my broken tooth, and you can't even tell that the teeth in there aren't mine! Mallory was fantastic as well (as are the all of the staff at Georgian Dental). I'm always happy with the service and I would recommend them to anyone.

I first encountered Dr. Tan when I needed help after another specialist in Toronto extracted a tooth and didn't really finish the job, leaving jagged edges on a remaining crown and me in a lot of pain.... That was in 2010 and this past week, he has once again come to my aid performing two extractions of teeth which had a bridged crown on them for 15 or so years. We thought it was going to be a simple removal of the crown and extraction of the two teeth, however it lead to a two hour session in the chair due to complications with one of the teeth... Needless to say, Dr. Tan stepped up to the plate and dealt with the difficult situation with his usual calm and very capable skills as a dentist, dental surgeon and empathetic professional... His assistant Marcos capably assisted him throughout this difficult procedure, all the while assuring me that all was going to be as it should be.... I had no pain during the procedure as a result of being thoroughly "frozen" and later at home when the freezing did come out, it did so without discomfort... which was my previous experience with extractions previously. I am well on my way to recovery and I had Dr. Tan "install" an implant at the time the extractions were performed to make sure I can keep enjoying food that requires chewing... LOL... Each and every one of the staff I have encountered over the past few years of working with Dr. Tan's office have been wonderful and provided excellent care and services to me and my partner. Thank you again Dr. Tan for being such a wonderful caring dentist.

I brought my son to this practice for an orthodontist consultation in mid April. The Dr confirmed that he would likely need braces and in order to get the costing as well as the time line for the braces, some imaging (xrays, photos and 3D imaging of his mouth) would have to be completed. I was told the imaging would cost around $300. After having multiple appointments rescheduled by them for more than a month because their xray machine was supposedly broken, we finally got everything completed in mid June. At a cost of over $400. I was told at that point that Dr Tan would get back to me in about 2 weeks, so the first week of July, to give me the cost as well as the time line my son will need to get braces. Well, it is now the end of August and we are still waiting. I paid out an extra $412 as, based on the online reviews and friendliness of the staff, we thought this was the clinic for us. I've been told his file needs to be sent for review and have the financials put together and I'll be contacted "next week". Wondering why the file hasn't already been reviewed and financials pit together as they've had 2.5 months with all the information. Sorely disappointed with Georgian Dental and its lack of services rendered.

Got a very good clean there, but the ortho work was sub par. Also the establishment adjusted my bill to show an ortho repair as other dental work to overcharge me and get the insurance to cover it. I found the cost of the ortho repair and the dishonest billing of it to be very unsatisfactory and borderline fraudulent. The Ortho assistant had very poor knowledge in what she was doing, was corrected by doctor Tan several times and at one point was chatting it up with another employee, looking away from me and basically blindly proding my mouth with a suction tube. The ortho fixture I was sold doesn't do what it is supposed to either and is likely installed wrong, or just isn't designed for my needs. Of course I was sold it anyway. I'm now stuck with $500 bill and a ortho fixture that's uncomfortable, doesn't work and is cemented into my mouth.

Great staff and service at Georgian Dental. Just had a cleaning with Becky and she is wonderful, and made me feel comfortable even though I'm a dental chicken. The admin staff is very friendly as well. I have been to see all 3 dentists, and Dr. Tan and Dr. Bhatti have the best bedside manner (make you feel the most comfortable). I would describe Dr. Crosby as more efficient - he's quick and quiet. They don't bill your insurance company direct, but they do submit it for you. So you'll need to pay up front, but I find I get reimbursed 2-3 days afterwards so it's not too much of a pain. Overall, good place to go and I'd recommend.

Recently went in for an Invisalign seminar. The seminar was just over an hour. At the end of the seminar there was was information on what you would receive for going to the seminar. there was to be a free X-Ray ( 60$ value) a "free Consultation" (300$ Value) and up to 700$ off the cost. After the seminar I booked my "free" consultation with DR.Tan. went into my appointment that I left work early for to be sitting with someone who was not Dr.Tan and was informed that it was not a consultation and I would not meet with Dr.Tan until paying for a $400 Ortho work up that was never mentioned at the seminar. All and all I was pretty disappointed in the time I wasted trying to figure out a cost at getting Invisalign between the seminar and leaving work early for nothing. So if your looking for information save your time and don't go to the seminar it doesn't help finding out the cost. and you can read in about 10 minutes the information covered in the seminar.

I came to Georgian dental as they have a procedure to deal with large canker sores. I viewed similar procedures online that involved lasers being applied directly to the area. I understand not all procedures are the same. I am not upset because it did not work I am upset because when I arrived I was told to hold a light to my face for 4 minutes. Than I was told I was all done, I informed the lady this was not the procedure I had seen. She than picked up a different tool that looked similar and I said "sure". She leaves the room and returns with dentist 7-10 min later who gives her a crash course on how to make me hold a different light to my face for 40 seconds. Now the procedure is done. With no effect. I am told it will take a couple days. Probably about the time it would take to heal normally. $84.00 to perform the procedure myself. No one even looked at the effected area. Just wanted to tell my story, thanks

I have had an extremely bad experience with this dental office. My wife had used my credit card to pay off some work she had done and they used my credit card on someone else's account for over $2,000.00 without permission. When we asked them about this they told us that they would send us a cheque for the money owed but it never arrived. We called multiple times and they keep saying it's on the way or its in the mail, this in now over 5 months and they will not even answer the phone when we call I am extremely disipointed in the way this is being handled I would use caution if you are thinking about using this dental office.

Great Staff ..Truly great dentists..no complaints .I just have an issue with the 2 day cancellation rule. Lets just say for example you woke up with a cold or flu , or a family emergency , or you were called into work the day of your appt. Some things in life you just cant foresee even one day in advance. I think if you were to call first thing when office opens on the day of your appt or left a message the night before, that would be sufficient. Does anyone really know what the next 48 hours might bring? Im sure with a large enough clientele the appt could be filled easily. I could understand if a certain patient cancelled on a regular basis but I do believe most people would be courteous enough to cancel an appt if they had good reason. Sometimes even 12 hours isn't enough time.

I enjoyed the first day I went and signed up. Once I went there to get 2 fillings done (which is all I could afford at the time) the older male dentist ended up giving me 4 fillings and normally when i get a filling they put supports so I didn't have to hold my mouth open for the whole time but I got nothing!! My jaw was sore for over a week. The teeth I have the fillings on are still sore when I eat and it has been almost a year since I got them done. I have gone back 4 times to get them fixed, and my teeth are still sore. So now my tooth might be cracked because of the way they did the filling and I might have to get a crown. Awesome!! I originally didn't want that one done and now I will have to pay for a crown to be put on. Just awful communication throughout the office. I was nervous when going to the dentist before and now its even worse because of this experience. I went back in to speak with Dr Tan regarding my tooth, I was under the impression I was going there to speak with him. Once I got there I was given a frozen mouth and told we are going to do a root canal and given the waiver. They never told me over the phone that's what was going on or looked into maybe seeing if things were covered under my benefits. When I asked if it was covered they informed me that they would check. I find it absolutely rude and disrespectful to go in under one impression and get something completely different. I am not a fan of going to the dentist in the first place and this made me almost have a panic attack. I informed them I did not know I was getting a root canal as no one told me and had to work in an hour. So I left the office with a frozen mouth and no work done. Needless to say I have ended up calling them and making sure that I am no longer a patient there. I enjoy being told how much something is going to cost and what work I'm getting done prior to my visit. BTW it would have cost me 1800 dollars if it wasn't covered from my insurance. I'm sure like most we don't have that much money lying around so I require communication in what is going on and what needs to be done. Again lack of communication throughout this office and I'm sick and tired of being treated like this. Even after I left and went to another dentist, the new company requested my recent x-ray to be emailed/faxed to them so they could take a look at my tooth. After 3 weeks Georgian dental still has not sent it. I signed a release form so that the new company could obtain it and they could help me. Nothing has happened so either they are absolutely rude and ignorant or they do not know how to do their jobs properly. Either way... thanks for being concerned for the person instead of your reviews! Goodbye

I cannot thank this wonderful team enough for literally fitting me into their schedule ...not just for any easy 'look at' but to do an extraction that was crumbled into pieces After my original appt at my regular dentist ( surgeons day was cancelled on Tuesday and i found out when i got to my apt. i was not informed the apt was cancelled.. and the surgeon is only in once a month! I had been in extreme pain for a least a week and was waiting for this ppt. I am forever grateful to all of your staff for finding the time you didn't have to fit me to to get me out of pain. I recently had my wisdom teeth extracted, which was not an easy decision to make for me at 55 years old. They were crowding my other teeth and had cavities in them, so out they had to come. The team at Georgian Dental are very friendly and they were very thorough about explaining what the procedure would be like. I sat down with Sirlene, who very carefully went over everything with me and we filled in paperwork (lots of paperwork), to make sure that all the details are covered, including medical history, drugs and allergies. I had a meeting with Dr. Tan before the surgery so that he could check things out and he explained things to me about the procedure as well. Dr. Stephen Ing, the anesthesiologist called and went over my medical history with me and asked lots of questions ( I said they were thorough). All of this helped me to be more comfortable and feel more assured that I was in good hands. The surgery went well, even though I heard that the bottom teeth didn't want to leave their cozy nest and I was grateful for Dr. Ing helping me sleep through it all. I left feeling like i had made new friends. It is healing up really well. :)

If I could give 10 stars I would. I Am terrified of dentists and hygienists and practically the whole experience and with the added stress of Covid , it's a very difficult experience....until now. Dr. Tan is wonderful beyond words . His level of professionalism and level of care goes above and beyond. I had to have an emergency root canal....terrifying I know! But I was put at ease immediately! The whole team is fantastic! Then I started the cleaning process. Megan is also wonderful and caring ! Excellent experience! Wish I had gone sooner to see Dr.Adam about Invisalign. I'm mid 40s and started my treatment about 10 months ago. The staff at Georgian dental has been great at my follow ups appointments and Dr. Adam really cares about my progress. The clinic itself is beautiful, clean and organized. Marco was doing my scans and he is friendly, adorable and very knowledgeable, patiently answering all my questions. Now I wish I started doing Invisalign sooner, my results are AH-MAZING! looking back at my scans (they do 3D scans of my teeth to send to the lab for my trays instead of that messy goop!). I had lots of crowding and teeth that were rotated a weird way and tipped in! Now I feel more confident in my smile and my teeth are easy to maintain. The aligning trays are easy to keep clean, I remove when eating and switch them out each week, nothing easier than that! If you're thinking about it, GO FOR IT! what better time now to get started since we're all wearing a mask lol!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND GEORGIAN DENTAL BARRIE!

The process from booking the appointments to the very end of my procedures was excellent.
