I'm a new patient and so far I've had 2 appointments with Dr Mocrae. Everyone has been an absolute joy to work with. They're very warm and welcoming, flexible, friendly, and easy to work with. They are also taking all COVID precautions and taking steps to keep everyone safe. Also worth noting, if you are First Nations or Inuit and you are on the NIHB program, they will gladly work with you. I've had no issues with coverage so far.

I had a terrible experience at my other dentist and my friend recommended Steve Mocrae. He is very thorough, makes sure you're comfortable throughout the entire procedure. He also gets it done quickly and makes sure you are comfortable every step of the way. He always explains each procedure and takes time to make sure you understand your options. The hygeneist also does a great job and rest of the office staff are so kind and accomodating. I would definitely recommend Dr. Mocrae and his team!

I originally looked for a dentist in Midland or Orillia that might accept me as a patient. As someone using the ODSP dental plan it was difficult since those I contacted either refused me, or said that they had a small quota of ODSP patients and were not accepting any more. Dr. Mocrae's clinic was not like this. From the moment I first contacted them they were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. I was made to feel as if I was a regular patient, without the sense of being lessor because I was using a government dental plan. I felt comfortable and at ease, and despite that it had been a very long time since I had sought dental care, despite that I suffered from an anxiety disorder that causes me a great deal of difficulty, I actually was comfortable in the clinic. Even through the necessary restrictions due to the current pandemic, I was made to feel important and meaningful. And cared for. When they say on their website that they believe everyone deserves the same level of care, they mean it.

I have been a long time patient since I was a young child, and throughout the years I have always felt comfortable coming in to get my dental work done, and have always found it to be a wonderfully warm environment. The one thing I truly miss at the office is coming in to play the tetras and Nintendo games in the waiting room. I've been going to Dr. Mocrae's office for 18 years and have nothing but positive things to say about my experience each visit. The staff are consistently personable, organized and most importantly extremely professional. The office is well kept and very clean and the wait is more then bearable with the comfortable couches and gaming systems to keep you company. I can not emphasize how great the staff and Dr. Mocrae. A couple of years ago I went to the dentist and got told I had 8 cavities. Went to Dr.Mocrae and onlu had 2. Very very happy, hesh a real proper dentist. I suffer from anxiety and swallowing problems but I had no trouble. The assistant , she was very thorough with the suction tool, very impressed with everything. It was done before I knew it. The lady that did my cleaning was very very nice. Dr. Steve Mocrae Dentistry is the best dentist I’ve been to. The professional staff, caring assistants and gentle care is why my family and me go there. On a personal note, I want to thank them as they really really helped me. I was suffering from chronic headaches for the longest time. I went to all kinds of doctors, got a CT, took medication, but nothing helped. After visiting the Steve Mocrae clinic they discovered a tooth that had to be pulled out. After the procedure, my headaches were completely gone. The doctor called me the next day to make sure I’m doing fine (which I was) and made me feel taken care of and safe. My wife and kids had to go through some procedures as well and were always taken care of and helped gently and generously. Didnt explain what he was going to do before doing it or just the little things that make a child comfortable. However the dental assistant was very kind. My husband and I just started going here last week. We both had a great experience (considering it was a dentist visit and neither of us are fond of the dentist in general!) Tammy was my dental hygienist that day and she was so friendly, welcoming and nice! We talked and laughed lots. I was super impressed with her! She explained things to me and showed me things on my x-rays that were interesting too and made me feel like I was a part of my own dental care! I didn't see Dr. Mocrae too much yet, but will be when I go back this week for some dental work. So far so good and I would recommend to friends and family!

Today I had an appointment for a cleaning. The staff was very friendly, and knew me before I even entered the office. I only had to wait a couple minutes before I was taken into a room and seated in my chair. The cleaning went well, and my hygienist was friendly and talkative, and even tipped me off to the free movie being screened at the Heritage Park that evening. As always it was a pleasant experience. All cleaned and ready for the next appointment in 6months.

This was my first visit to Dr. Mocrae's office as my previous dentist is nearing retirement and it seemed a good time to find a new one. The staff, both administrative and technical, were all very friendly and welcoming. They seemed to function like a well-oiled machine; everyone tending to their particular functions without unnecessary interractions. Dr. Mocrae, likewise, was business-like, but friendly. I had x-rays, examination and cleaning which were all completed in a timely fashion. Nothing to complain about. I feel I've made a good choice in coming to this dental office.

Life is full of surprises, and this was never more evident than on Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 when I visited Dr. Steve Mocrae Dentistry in the Kozlov Mall, Barrie. I was greeted in a warm and friendly manner, even though I was there to take advantage of a complimentary cleaning for adults who currently don't have coverage. My hygienist was professional and thorough. The fact that Dr. Steve Mocrae would make such a generous offer, given the current climate in business today; sets him apart as a businessman and a person. Dr Mocrae is amazing! He took me last minute when I cracked a tooth right before Christmas. I moved out of the area and switched to a local dentist. They did a deep filling that caused me pain for months and resulted in an infected tooth, when my face swelled up that office advised me they could not see me as it was the weekend. I called Dr Mocrae's office and he saw me the next morning. He is also amazing with my 3 year old son. He will have my families business for life. He is patient, calming, kind and his staff go above and beyond. Could not recommend him more!

Amazing safety protocols! Dr. Mocrae and his team did a tremendous job of keeping me safe. Everything was sparkling clean and the safety protocols were EXCEPTIONAL! They definitely demonstrated that I was valued as they cheerfully went to such great lengths to keep me safe going well beyond the required protocols. One of the team, Kim, cheerfully and carefully explained the process and stayed with me the whole time I wasn’t in the dental chair. She kept me in a safe, sterile and isolated environment. The hygienist, Candice, spent tons of time getting my cleaning back on track after about a year and a half of my pandemic isolation. Dr. Mocrae carefully examined my teeth and x-rays to ensure my prolonged pandemic absence from dental care was corrected. No wonder this dentist and his team are so loved!! This has got to be the safest and best dental experience in Barrie.

I hadn't been to the dentist in years because of dental anxiety and finances, but I had a bit of an emergency. An acquaintance recommended this office, so I called and the receptionist was sooo friendly, I felt at ease when I got off the phone. I drove over an hour to get my tooth fixed, went back for a filling, and Candice did a cleaning. She was very thorough and explained things like I've never experienced before. I was so impressed with the staff at this office. Oh! And Dr. Mocrae's work is excellent! He fixed my mouth and I am now pain free. I will definitely get back into a routine with this office and I feel motivated to keep working on my dental hygiene. Did a great job on my oldest but if you require sleep dentistry I do not recommend this place, my 7 year with autism needed work done we were told to be here at 12:45 PM we arrived a bit early, they than made us wait another hour before being called in. Let me remind you they can't eat 6 hours before and can't drink 2 hours before being put to sleep, there's no need to make kids wait that long specially ones with special needs

He takes the time to explain any procedure, while making you feel comfortable. I choose Dr. Mocrae for many reasons, but the option for dentistry while asleep puts me at ease. I know I'm in the best hands while there. Not only is he a great dentist, but for some reason I feel his staff get my teeth looking the best, the whitest compared to other places I've had to visit when out of town. One event specifically comes to mind, during a long weekend we had a dental emergency and within minutes it seemed, Dr. Mocrae had the business opened up for our arrival. Thats fantastic service!
