Seemed okay, until I had an issue.
Initial visit was fine. I really liked the hygienist, and she did a good job.
Then, because of my rotating schedule/their corporate BusinesS methods, I didn’t have time to take care of everything that (normally) should have been taken care of in the initial visit. My insurance plan basically covers most of the cost of these visits, but tacking on extra visits = more money out of my pocket, so I was sure to ask if this would have been covered with the “New Patient Exam.”
Fast forward to “needing” fillings, etc.
Fair enough, but the dentist overfilled one of my fillings. I came back, for an adjustment and also for an Invisalign consultation (with once again, a different hygienist).
Adjustment made, but incorrectly which made my initial “non-issue” an everyday struggle.
I almost forgot to mention here, my initial visit to have my cavities filled was cancelled due to inclement weather. The office has both my phone number AND email address.
So why they chose to only contact me via phone-CALL that day (while I was at work), instead of through email or even a simple text to cancel my appointment at the last-minute is beyond my comprehension.
I even gave up an overtime shift to make the appointment, only to find out that it was cancelled upon arrival.
No follow up with the Invisalign (their choice, not mine as I was all set for it).
I mention this during a routine cleaning during my “last” visit, which they ensure me that they will look into.
But after what happened later that afternoon, don’t even bother.
I once again press the issue of my filling, and although they didn’t make it easy, they agree to redo the filling, no charge.
I come back and have the filling redone, and that goes better than expected.
Then, they go ahead and charge me for that 2nd part of the 2-part visit that should have been ONE visit. I had specifically mentioned that I wasn’t wanting to be mystery charged, and when I reiterate this (respectfully) to the receptionist. She dismisses me in a way that lacked sufficient care or thoughtfulness, like a bartender looking for a tip on a busy night after providing terrible customer service. This person gave ZERO effs that I was being low-key ripped off in this moment.
I had a colleague from work warn me about this place, and how they’re “ALL BUSINESS”. I also have a partner who was looking for a new dentist, but after my initial visit was split into two (for no real reason other than the original hygienist was busy which is unusual/suspicious enough), he opted to look somewhere else.
It’s disappointing because I was going to get my teeth whitened (100% out of my own pocket as my insurance doesn’t cover it) in office. Then I was going to go ahead with the Invisalign, but I’m so turned off by the receptionist was okay with losing me as a patient rather then waving a minimal fee that I should not have incurred in the first place (essentially paying 2 DOCTORS for something that could/should have been taken care of in one visit, by 1 DOCTOR), that I’m now going to shop around for a new Dental office. I left without making a scene. Seconds after stepping into my vehicle, I call them back and cancelled the follow-up cleaning scheduled for 4 months later.
Their greed cost them thousands of dollars.
If you’re “old school”, and just want a dentist that you can get to know, who actually cares about your teeth, and your loved ones teeth, don’t go here. This is more of a corporate
environment where you will become more familiar with the receptionists than the dental team themselves.
