The dentist was gentle and thorough and I had no during or post pain. She worked to completely remove the old filling and removed the new damage within. She then filled and molded my new "filling" which is white. She explained everything I could expect with my post care as this tooth has multiple fractures but hopefully the new filling will hold it together. Feel very informed and well cared for. The assistant was so quiet and gentle I hardly knew she was assisting at times. Loved all the extras like the massaging chair, the soft blanket, eye mask, pillow and lip balm...all included. I liked the numbing gel prior to the injection, which made the injection almost unnoticeable. The whole procedure was surprisingly pleasant, despite the required drilling that was needed to do the work.

I live in the far far west end and yet, I come to this specific practice for my dental needs. Why? Because they care about their patients and the community they are a part of. A welcoming space with free parking in the lot beside it or on the street, walking in you notice tons of little extras they put into running their business: free WiFi, a mobile charging station, an extensive beverage menu of hot and cold items (all free), and a washroom stocked with more items than a spa. When you get into the exam room they offer blankets (weighted and non), Netflix with or without noise cancelling headphones, a massaging chair, aromatherapy...and a warm lemon towel at the end of your appointment. If you're a kid, there's even a giant toy room you get to choose a toy from! The staff are all amazing: pleasant, friendly, and patient. I've listened to them speaking to patients who are extremely anxious and they are all so gentle and empathetic. Dr. Chin is not a scary dentist. Everyone explains what they're doing every step of the way so you're never unsure if what is happening. They work with most insurance carriers and are really good about explaining costs and options. This is hands down the best dental experience I have had and I will continue to come here regardless of what part of the city I live in.

Can't say enough good things about Norwood. I am someone who hates and immensely fears the dentist. I've avoided going to the dentist for a few years due to this anxiety but had to finally give in and make an appointment due to a dental issue. The staff is incredibly friendly and the way that they make patients feel comfortable is out of this world. Everything from offering refreshments to getting to watch Netflix in a message chair during the procedure is just absolutely wonderful. They even offered me a weighted blanket during the procedure because of how nervous I was. Love love love and can say for the first time in my life that I'm actually looking forward to my next dental appointment. Thank you Norwood!

As a new patient I was allowed to pick a goodie bag: floss, toothbrush, lip balm, hand sanitizer and a nifty "Norwood Dental" zippered case. Upon my 2nd visit for fillings I grabbed my favorite Bubly, strawberry, to take some Motrin before the procedure. The 25lb weighted blanket really helped with anxiety and the peach-mango face cloth helped me wash away the debris of the visit. Dr. Chin and his assistants were polite, friendly and made me decide to call this my new dental home. My last dentist retired after I was his patient for 25 years so I guess you could say I'm in it for the long haul.

From the moment I walked I knew this dental office was different than the rest. I was greeted with a smile and offered a drink of my choice while I filled out the paper work In the very comfortable lounge. I have high anxiety when I visit dental offices for appointments. I felt no anxiety during my visit I felt very comfortable from the moment I sat in the exam chair I was offered a blanket my choice of Netflix to watch or eye covers and ear plugs to relax. The hygienist was great made feel calm and comfortable. The doctor who seen Was Able to answer my questions and was very friendly. I will be back and will be recommending this office to others.

I choose Norwood Dental Center due to the instagram page I followed and the fact that it’s all about doing dentistry differently. If this is the definition of doing dentistry differently, I would prefer not to have my dental clinic do dentistry differently. I first visited Norwood Dental Centre in December. I do appreciate the fact that the hygienist started off with a cleaning and x-ray. Afterwards Dr Chin came in to see me, introduced himself while I had my back towards him, sat and did a quick assessment and told me that I would need fillings due to my cavities and a crown for a tooth that I have a root canal done. Asked me how I found out about the clinic, made notes and left. After he left I told the hygienist that I am a bit skeptical about getting a crown on my tooth. I have put a crown on a tooth before but the tooth got infected and I had to uproot the tooth. She responded that I should I have asked Dr Chin to explain further about the crown and it’s benefits but she will document it for my next visit. First of all, I honestly felt like he was in a rush. I don’t blame him. He is the only dentist at the clinic and would need to meet with most patients but I don’t think I should be rushed during my assessment without given an opportunity to ask questions. Secondly, I’m also a health care worker and I know for a fact that part of professionalism requires a certain level of decorum. When speaking to a patient, you should be face to face with the patient at eye level. This allows you to know if the person understands you and gives an opportunity to ask questions and make the patient not feel rushed. I took that as my first visit and since my next visit will be much longer with a lot of interactions with Dr Chin and there was a prior documentation of my complaint it will go differently. That wasn’t the case. Again, Dr Chin was with a patient while I waited on the chair. He comes in and says hello from behind me, got some information from the hygienist which I’m assuming she was a dental hygienist because she really didn’t introduce herself to me and she also had to leave before the procedure started and someone later came in to assist who had to leave midway after that to go set up another patient. I was honestly expecting more communication from Dr Chin especially since I had a prior question that was meant to be documented. I guess there is a problem with continuity of care. While I was on the chair both Dr Chin and the second hygienist were talking about patient documentation and how to properly organize all the referrals on the computer for easy access. I don’t think that’s the place or time to discuss quality control of the clinic while attending to a patient. Dr Chin ended the procedure alone and tell me about my procedure and continued treatment while I was backing him. There was a lot of disconnect, said good bye and went over to the next patient. I am concerned about the communication between dentist and patient, patient care and professionalism. It is a beautiful clinic, but there is work that needs to be done. Customer services isn’t just about getting a smile or drink on entering the clinic, it is about the entire experience within the clinic. From start to finish.

Norwood Dental has made it fairly obvious that "my time" isn't as important as their time.... so I highly suggest you dont waste "your time" here either. Here's some backstory as to why I feel the way I do, and believe that you should also take your business elsewhere: I called on a Friday to make an appointment to have a broken tooth fixed. I was advised that the Dentist could see me on the following Tuesday at 8am - I booked the appointment but mentioned that I would need to find a babysitter for my 2 year old (fyi: I wasn't able to find an 8am sitter, so my husband had to take some time off of work). Tuesday rolls around and I go in for my appointment. The Dental Assistant took an x-ray which proved without a doubt that I had a broken tooth and that the broken peice was lodged in between where it had broke off and the tooth beside it. The Dental Assistant even commented to me that she was "surprised the piece hadn't fallen out already," and looking at the x-ray, I agreed with her! Well the Dentist comes into the room, looks at the x-ray and says it definitely needs to be fixed, and also says that luckily it should be a quick fix. He then looks at his schedule for a while before telling me to make ANOTHER appointment to come back and get it fixed.... Excuse me? Was that not what this appointment was for? (It should be noted that if I was able to come during standard business hours (8-4:30pm), I could be seen 1 week later, but for an appointment after 5pm it would have been a 2½ week minimum wait) Fast forward to when I came back, AGAIN, to get my tooth fixed. I was taken to a dental chair and advised by the Dental Assistant that the dentist was running about 10 minutes behind. Well... 45 minutes later the dentist finally comes in to do my filling and finally fix my tooth. While doing the filling he mentions that he is "surprised the piece hadn't fallen out already." Yeah... your Dental Assistant felt the same way at my last appointment too. Guess how long the actual filling took? 20 minutes!! So again, why wasn't it dealt with at my first appointment? I believe Norwood Dental failed me as a patient. This was both a failure on the part of the scheduling department for not booking the appropriate amount of time to fix a broken tooth the first time (remember, it was discussed during the booking phone call), and a failure on the part of the Dentist for not fixing it at the initial appointment and sending me away with a broken tooth. All the extra bells and whistles Norwood has to offer, aren't worth my wasted time. So again, I suggest you dont waste your time here either.

My daughter had her appointment here a couple weeks ago and I just had mine today. This is honestly hands down the best dental clinic I have ever been to! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You feel like home when you walk in. The dental care goodies and toy room are fantastic! My daughter is so excited that she gets a full size toy from her dentist! The one thing that blew me away today was a hand written card genuinely thanking me for choosing Norwood dental. That got me all fuzzy inside for sure! For the dentist and staff to take time out to write a small hand written thank you card honestly meant so much! I am so glad to be part of the Norwood family. Amanda, Dr. Chin. Best dental clinic I've ever been to! They were very kind and accommodating. They let me watch Netflix for the whole duration of the cleaning, their chair had a massage function and they reapplied lip balm for me whenever my lips got dry! I was so impressed with everything about this dental clinic. They were able to schedule me in quickly despite the fact that I waited until the year was almost over before booking (I keep forgetting I have dental coverage now after years of being a bartender and now switching jobs lol). The front staff are so kind. I was given a gift card and awesome floss set for having to wait a few minutes as they fit in a young girls emergency. I had no problem with waiting, and I could tell it bothered them more than me! The hygienist was quick and skilled, and the dentist was the same. I have found my new clinic!

I always, like many, dread my dental appointments. After my visit with Norwood Dental, however, I can honestly say I am looking forward to my future appointments. I left home about 4 years ago, which meant leaving a family dentist who I had known and grown a trusting relationship with for 21 years of my life. Finding a dental practice that would give me that form of comfort and ease was not going to be an easy task. I can confidently say I have found that dental practice as of yesterday. :) The staff immediately make you feel welcome and treat you like a VIP. The atmosphere of the waiting room is so relaxing. They have the comfiest couches and an awesome salt water tank, with colorful fish. They also provide complimentary beverages while you wait! My dental hygienist was knowledgeable and gentle with my teeth/ gums. My dentist was professional and genuine. I was reassured step by step that my oral health was being well taken care of. I have never left a dental office feeling so at ease and relaxed. I highly recommend Dr. Chin and his amazing team! They are definitely doing "dentistry differently", and for the better. :)

A lovely neighbourhood clinic with very nice people working there. I had been to this clinic a couple of years ago before the change in ownership. Last week I visited for the first time since the change and it was a much better experience than the first time. The clinic looked a lot nicer than before and I really appreciated the small things they offered, like being offered refreshments while I waited and the build-your-own-goodie-bag station afterwards. My hygienist was fantastic and Dr. Chin was friendly and professional. My experience at the clinic left nothing to be desired and I really appreciated them fitting me into their schedule on short notice. The one area for improvement that I can think of would be email correspondence. Due to my work hours, I prefer to correspond most of the time by email. The first time I requested an appointment through their website’s online form, I didn’t receive a response. I later emailed directly and received a voicemail soon after, but that somewhat defeats the purpose of corresponding by email, I think. After my appointment, I emailed again but as of right now I haven’t received a response three days later. This is a pretty big inconvenience to me because it’s much easier for me to correspond via email than finding time to call during business hours, however I don’t think it warrants the lowering of my rating. I still believe Norwood Dental is a great clinic that deserves your patronage, especially if you live nearby. If they are able to increase the efficiency of their email workflow, then I know coming here will be a 5 star experience without caveats. I definitely look forward to returning in a few months.

I have no love of going to the dentist due to past experiences. This one i will go back too. Staff was non-judgemental. Clear in explaining what they were doing. Stopped when needed a break. Brought all 3 of my kids in, one has dentist anxiety, one has never been. One has no issuea. They were excellent to them. Showed them all the tools. Again explaining what they were doing. Just called here because my permanent retainer of 10 yrs came off after eating something hard. I expressed that I just wanted the cement bond to be removed, I didn’t want it to be replaced or repaired. I figured I would get the cement removed and get a teeth cleaning while I’m there as well. The receptionist turned me away, telling me to go to the orthodontist in Calgary who put it on 10 yrs ago. I expressed that, no, I didn’t want it fixed or replaced, just to have the cement removed. I don’t have the time or the desire to drive down to Calgary to see an orthodontist.I don’t want to see any orthodontist at all. I simply want the cement removed. She wouldn’t hear it. Too bad, I’d heard great things about this clinic and was looking forward to trying it out. It’s unfortunate that they won’t listen to what the patient wants.

I've been seeing Dr. Chin for over a year now. First of all, this is a safe clinic for patients with a latex allergy. I've never had even a slight reaction here. Secondly, it's a family and community oriented clinic that is so very welcoming and pleasant. I especially love the mixture of the old-fashioned, independent, human-focused clinic with the clean, modern decor and amenities. It reminds me so very much of the dentist and clinic I went to from ages 3-23, which are all pleasant memories. Third, if you have fear or anxiety around dental care, this is the place for you! Dr. Chin and his staff do everything they can to make people feel at ease and willing to pursue the dental care that they need. Be straight with expressing your fears, and they can help! I even love that I can bike or walk to my appointments (thanks for the safe bike rack outside your building), but I'd drive quite a ways to come here if I had to.

WOW! What an extraordinary dental experience. I had heard really good things about this clinic so after an 8yr absence from the dentist, I decided to try them with my littlest who has a sensory processing disorder.. unbelievable! This kiddo came out so relaxed, so excited to come back- I was stunned. We were only there for a brief time today but this is definitely our new dentist. The staff at Norwood Dental are absolutely lovely. I feel incredibly welcome and relaxed when I'm there and the procedures are always comfortable. Being able to watch Netflix while I get a cleaning or filling has been a really nice distraction that helps pass the time and keep my mind off any sensations. Hands down the best dentist I've been to! I've been there 3 times since August and every time was a positive experience. The swag bag is awesome, watching Netflix is great and they even gave me a giftcard for having to wait a while last time. I drive almost 2 hours to go here and it is always worth the drive. By far my FAVOURITE dental office in the city! I always leave satisfied. The receptionists are very friendly and go above and beyond for patients. I’ve only been 3 times and the ladies already know me by name! I love that we get to watch Netflix during appointments and they offer so many complimentary services to cater everyone who walks in. I would especially recommend this office for people with dental anxiety, as they offer special services like weighted anxiety blankets, and warm lemon-scented face cloths, for example, to ensure patients are comfortable. Dr William Chin is amazing and truly cares about the well-being of his patients. I went to a different dental office in the past to get a referral for wisdom teeth extractions; a year later, they told me to do it myself. Within a couple weeks of seeing Dr Chin, I got my referral and my wisdom teeth extracted! He is mindful of costs to the patient and consults before going through with costly procedures; he gets the urgent stuff done first to ensure that patients’ livelihoods are considered. I never feel like his consults are rushed; in fact, he takes a lot of time to discuss concerns with his patients. On Tuesdays, they have the Tooth Fairy come in and talk to children; they also have a room FULL of toys for the kids to pick from. I would highly recommend this dental office for any child’s first time. The dental assistants and hygienists are outgoing and hilarious! The staff truly cares about everyone who walks through the door. After every cleaning appointment, they offer a complimentary bag filled with lip balms, floss, toothpaste! After my cleaning appointment, I did not receive my complimentary bag; within 2 minutes of me mentioning it online, Amanda (co-owner) left me a voicemail offering to put together a bag for me and PERSONALLY DELIVER IT to my house!! I was blown away. Despite me living all the way across the city, the commute is WELL worth it and I will follow them anywhere if they were to relocate!! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! I recommend them every chance I get. Thank you Norwood Dental staff for everything that you do! You are truly appreciated.

Norwood Dental is like a spa with dentists and hygeniests instead of estheticians and massage therapists. They think of everything and anything to make your experience comfortable (massaging dental chairs, tv selections, blankets, ear plugs, eye masks, chapstick, a million different toothbrush and floss options to pick from at the end... just to name a few). My hygienist was patient and thorough with her explanations on what she was going to do, she made sure I had no more questions and was ready before she began. I echo all of the five star reviews here. Sometimes when a business gets such rave feedback it can make expectations extra high, and expect some of the lower star reviews comes down to that. Yes, this clinic is in the inner city, it's not in a new building and although it's clean and modern, it's not over the top in expensive decor and it's not a spa. It's a community minded clinic, you can tell the owners are thoughtful about how they invest their time and resources and they aren't elitist as is common in this industry. The front desk staff are helpful and competent, the atmosphere is relaxed and child friendly. The dentist and the hygienists are great. If you have specific needs or concerns the co-owner Amanda is highly personable and available and goes above and beyond in every way. So glad to have found a dentist for my family that we will stick with for good.

I decided to try out Norwood Dental after not be satisfied with my last experience. I saw all the ads on Facebook and honestly thought it was too good to be true. Then a friend of mine went, and was very pleased with the service that she received. I booked my first appointment and future appointments for my two children. My appointment was first and I had a wonderful hygienist named Amanda. I was very pleased with her work and the overall appointment. The dentist Dr. Emily was in and out fairly quickly but very efficient. After bringing both of my children in for their appointment, I was very pleased to have had Amanda for a second time. Amanda took the time to help my daughter understand what was happening currently and what would be happening next. I appreciate the time that she took to ensure that it would be a good experience. Which it was. I look forward to my next visit and hope that the experience I had continues. The front desk staff are all friendly and willing to help each other out when needed. It's really great to see people working so well together. My overall experience was excellent! And the free stuff was definitely a super bonus!!!

Really, really good. They treat patients like individuals, and ask what you would like to help stay comfortable, rather than just doing the same things for everyone whether they are helpful to that person or not. They are respectful of budgets and offer the more conservative options first rather than pushing expensive treatments right out of the gate. They are really good at finding the balance between, for example, emphasizing the importance of flossing, without piling on the shame if you are not a regular flosser. Two small things I really like: (1) they have a 'prize drawer' for adults - with both oral care supplies and other useful things too; and (2) I am a bit of an aquarium nerd, and I really like that rather than a super fussy, ultra-expensive saltwater tank, they have a freshwater tank with real plants, and species of fish that flourish in our city's hard, somewhat-alkaline tapwater.

Holy wow these guys are good. I'm terrified of dentistry.its been 6 years since I've been in a dentist chair and Yuki made me feel like I was at the spa. There was a hot towel service, weighted blankets, complimentary beverages like bubly and even lattes! It felt like I was being pampered the whole time and the staff was so kind and caring. i truly felt safe even when there was some pain due to my messed up teeth. On my way out I was even given an adorable clutch of goodies and a handwritten card. Would recommend to ANYONE and everyone. Already reccomended to 3 strangers and all my family n friends and its only been a couple hours lol Will be coming back for all my dental work from now on and I'm inspired to take better care of my teeth ????

Had a really wonderful experience here yesterday for my cleaning. I am very anxious at the dentist, as many people are, and they had plenty of measures in place to keep me calm and comfortable. The weighted blanket, the stress ball, and my favourite Netflix show made the cleaning go super easy-breezy. My hygienist was also so lovely and accommodating and made sure to check in with me periodically to ensure I was still doing ok. I absolutely LOVE the hygiene station at the end of the appointment, and I was so excited to fill my goody bag. Such a great idea to get adults excited about the dentist too!

My fiancé & I just had our first experiences at Norwood Dental and it was SO worth the drive!!!! ♥ We were both shocked by how inviting and comforting it feels, and how insanely nice ALL the staff seem. They have a whole "comfort menu" (!!) of options like blankets, massaging chairs, and hot towels to make patients feel more comfortable. Being able to have your choice of Netflix shows to watch really helps the time go by. The front & bathroom are all full of TONS of free things to give their clients. We had both waited years since our last dentist appts (due to a lot of less than positive previous experiences) and had a completely opposite experience here, in the best way! If you like perks this is the dentist for you, if you want quality work I would look elsewhere! We were super excited about Norwood Dental opening up in our neighborhood and I followed them on Facebook. I really liked the ideals of Dr Chin and his wife Amanda and the way way the promoted accepting diversity and doing dental differently. We were finally able to get in this August and saw Dr Emily. The staff there are friendly and they do have unique perks which is why I gave it a 1 star. The actual dental work though is terrible! My husband, oldest son and myself all went in for the check up and scheduled appointments to get the work done. My husband had an extraction that got an infection/abcess with dry socket. He spent 2 weeks in horrible pain saw both Dr Chin and Dr Emily. Both wanted to take xrays rather than even look in his mouth. They both repacked the socket for the dry socket but didn't prescribe antibiotics despite him telling them that he kept feeling a lump growing and having it burst in his mouth over and over again. Our pharmacist prescribed him antibiotics and he was feeling better within 2 days. My son got 2 filling on his lower jaw that has been causing him pain ever since. 4 days after he went back for other work and he got told then the pain will go away. It hasn't. They back side of his teeth have been filed down so it is almost flush with his gum line now and not sure if drilling hit a nerve or what but he is still in pain. He moved to BC for school and hasn't been able to get it fixed. I had a few cavities filled top and bottom. The bottom teeth I can no longer get dental floss between 2 of the teeth. On the top the one filling is jagged and is creating pain. It feels like it is irritating my gum and I have a swollen area too. I am a nervous dental patient and it took a bit to work up the courage to go to the dentist. I don't want to go back and I am not looking forward to getting this fixed.

This is the best dentist I have ever been to. The hygienist Lisa was incredibly gentle and a pleasure to have cleaning my teeth. Dr. Chin was also amazing and a pleasure to chat with. Even with some general dental anxiety that has kept me away from the dentist for a couple years, Norwood dental has ensured that I will be sticking with regular cleanings from now on. They ensure every patient is 100% comfortable. Even though I am personally not part of the LGBTQ community, it was apparent that they are absolutely accommodating and accepting of everyone by specifically asking for pronouns and having a small pride display at the front door.

After browsing for long periods for the right dentist for my son who is a bit on the spectrum I was convinced by such a positive social media this dentist displays online that I decided to take my son to his first happy visit today, I thought it would be a nice experience for him but I left utterly disappointed, I couldn’t wait to leave as I felt extremely uncomfortable the receptionists seem to be nicer to other people who have no children offering them refreshments while you sit there clueless to your first ever visit. I was then taken back to the room with my son to a cold I’m guessing hygienist. My son was terrified by her mask and she continued to tell him it was so SHE wouldn’t get sick from him. Which shock me, she did not try one bit to make him feel any comfortable instead advised me to keep on brushing and flossing and come next year because she cannot do anything. I know it’s a free visit but atleast be kind he had no idea what was happening. I rather pay for someone to show that they care and not advertise that they do and show the complete opposite. I had high hopes as I was definitely looking for a long term dentist.

Let’s just take a minute and imagine going to the dentist and feeling like you’ve visited the spa. That is what Norwood Dental has accomplished at their office. Things I loved: waiting room has a word search on the wall (awesome!), fish in a giant aquarium lazily swimming around (so calming), comfy leather furniture (so relaxing) and happy, friendly and informative front desk staff. They take the time to ensure your visit is as comfortable for you as possible by giving you a comfort menu. 360 X-ray is done standing which is a million times more comfortable then how I’ve had them done in the past. There was a welcome screen with my name on it in the exam room. Massaging chair. Lip balm between treatments. My hygienist was the perfect amount of chatty. The Doctor took actually time to review X-rays with me and answered my questions, she was engaged. After everything was done I got to shop (for free) in the care unit. They have everything from nail files, pop sockets, all the flavours of dental floss and lip balm, and a super cute bag to put it all in! I am absolutely blown away by the care and attention to details they all did to make my visit as wonderful as possible. I am in love with this place!!!

Got my impressions taken by the dentist assistance. Normal procedure for a dentist place but the assistant was too busy joking and talking to the dentist in the other room with another patient to properly do her job. My impressions had to be retaken and I work out of town, I leave at short notice and sometimes long periods of time so the inconvenience of having to schedule another appointment for a mistake they made, and literally every appointment is a month wait in which I can never say for sure ill be able to attend. I went to another dentist and got my impressions taken and realized norwood dental missed alot of steps when taking impressions. I wont be going back, not saying its a horrible practice but the unprofessionalism for the trade off of being a fun happy environment isn't worth it.

I drove across the city because of the great reviews and was very disappointed. I first saw this dentist in September 2019. On our first visit Dr.Chin asked me 3 different times if I had high blood pressure, even after checking off no on the forms, this made me feel very self conscious, judged and not heard. I get asking one time but 3 times in a row is ridiculous. He also asked me if I wanted braces, even though I've moved a lot and have never been asked that by any dentist ever. When I said no he seriously replied " I guess if your husband doesn't mind then who cares right?". He also called my son by the wrong name, called him "Danny" and that is not his name. I returned a few times against my better judgment because my kids loved getting the toy and it was easier than finding another Dentist, especially when we needed to go back quickly for more work. The dentist did find some issues with my sons teeth other dentists missed and i am grateful for that, so I don't doubt his medical skills but his bedside manner was awful. I don't normally write bad reviews but I wish I wrote this one sooner to spare others of an experience like I had. I know this office sends gift cards to people who write good reviews, which may have lead to the high ratings. The toy room is a great idea and definitely brings people in but I was left feeling judged and though I was never anxious of Dentists before, I am now. I finally found the courage to write this and I won't be back to Norwood Dental. Personally I feel like this Dentist needs to listen to his patients and check his biases.

This place is truly amazing. Your welcomed with smiling, friendly staff, the lounge area is ever comfortable. The lounge menu is awesome while you wait (which isn't long). They provide you with a comfort menu to enjoy a relaxing atmosphere while in the chair. I used to be very afraid to go to the dentist, but Norwood Dental goes above and beyond by providing a weighted blanket, a pillow, ear plugs and eye mask, also Netflix to enjoy. I can’t imagine a better curated dental office experience in the world. They go way out of their way to create a welcoming, inclusive and comfortable experience. Plus there are all kinds of little surprise gifts that are part of the appointment. Both before, with the experience ‘menu’ where you can choose things like a blanket or show or beverage, and after where you can choose a goodie bag and different kinds of dental related treats to put inside it. I can’t believe how much I lucked out having this dental office in my neighborhood!

Every visit at Norwood Dental has been amazing! I normally am not one to rave about a dentist, but this practice goes above and beyond. From the time you walk in and are greeted with friendly faces and hellos, to the time you leave (and if it was a hygiene appointment you are leaving with your personalized goodie bag, even as an adult) you feel you have been a part of their family. You see the team is a family and they pour that caring into their clients. Quick to answer any questions or concerns and often making sure they are meeting your care and comfort needs; their service has been unparalleled. I can’t say enough great things about Norwood Dental. Everyone there is beyond amazing. The front end staff are welcoming & overall amazing at their jobs. The hygienists & doctors are amazing as well. We love being able to book on weekends, and can book routine follow ups 6 months in advance with no issues. We were also able to book on short notice when my son was having issues with his Invisalign pushing a loose tooth further up into his gums. I phoned and Amanda got us in the next evening for an extraction. Its amazing that my son feels so comfortable at the dentist- he loves that he has options to help him feel comfortable (Netflix, weighted blankets etc). Amanda & Dr. Chin have created a great place with amazing staff. ????????

I had a great experience at this office. I found the environment to be upbeat and casual which is not typical of dentist offices I have visited in the past. Everyone there was very informative and helpful to keep my mind at ease. The massaging chair is certainly a bonus! Definitely coming back.

The cleaning was good the perks are good, I changed my mind about 5 stars, Dr.Emily did my fillings she didn’t tell my one of the filling is close to gum line, she put a retention pin my filling didn’t tell me I found out on my own with insurance and the I went to U of a for a clinic they told I had a pin in there I would need a crown/root canal later as it’s a big filling and was deep something she’s didn’t say, I had molar filled at u of a the dentist who did told the cavity is close to the nerve plus not enough tooth structure I may need a root canal plus crown, he took the time to time to tell me that the filling may work or might not, he asked me if my dentist told me she did not. I felt rushed during my exam I didn’t feel I got ask much questions I get they see other patients. When I went for my exam and cleaning she didn’t tell me how many fillings, didn’t mention any of them being close nerve I found out from another dentist , she didn’t put my lateral incisor tooth on treatment plan I told her about it I need a new filling it’s discoloured, you can see a cavity under it I I got next visit next visit I wanted to why it’s not on my treatment plan. I asked if I would lose teeth I got I can fix them via fillings which is good but didn’t mention I needed 4 visits I had to call the office speak to a receptionist about it an how many fillings, when I asked how on the cost I got we don’t know till we do the work, She put a night guard and crown on my treatment plan. I know need the crown I would of liked them is to discuss it more. I want them to explain more to people. Dr Emily is amazing on doing work but they need more communication. They did 5-6 pre determinations to see how much they can spend on my plan. Improve on communication and customer service Thank you.

Good perks. But uncomfortable experience. Dental staff will argue with you if they caused you any discomfort, and say no it didn’t hurt. Dental assistant spoke about other staff in front of patients. They will call and text you 4 times to confirm.

Norwood Dental is the best dentist office I have ever had the pleasure of going to. Their focus on client care and making sure you are comfortable at your appointment is second to none. After a traumatic experience with getting a filling done at my last dentist office, I was looking for a new dentist and I am so glad I found Norwood. I had to get 4 fillings done this year and Dr. Chin is exceptional. No pain, minimal discomfort and I found myself looking forward to my next appointment. I cannot recommend Norwood Dental enough to anyone who has ever had a bad experience with a dentist or considers themselves someone who hates going to the dentist. Best dental office EVER!!

Absolutely fantastic practice. Dr.Chin is amazing and so are his staff. The receptionists are very friendly and all the hygienists were also fantastic. I wish I could remember the name of the hygienist I had because she was amazing. They let you pick what you'd like to watch on Netflix and make you feel incredibly welcome and comfortable. They managed to fit me in for a cleaning almost immediately after my exam even though they were busy. I also had the luck of coming in on National Ice Cream day and left with a marble slab gift card along with a very cute dental parcel with information about the practice and a bunch of goodies. I would recommend this place to anyone :)

This is an excellent and professional office. At the first appointment we were greeted with a lovely smile. My 3 yo daughter was instantly smitten with the fish tank and a small lounge chair that was her size!! I was impressed with how well they handled her first dental visit. The staff was patient and kind. They allowed her to warm up. They answered all my questions about how to keep her teeth healthy. My visit was immediately following and there was great care as well as attention placed on my history and checking my teeth. The cleaning was efficient and painless. You can tell that everyone in the office enjoys their job. William is a great dentist and cares about his patients. I was pleased with our visit and I would highly recommend Norwood Dental for your family dental needs. Welcome to the neighborhood!!!

I just had my first check up and cleaning in over 5 years, and had 2 cavities filled. Norwood Dental is the best dentist's office I've ever been to. Super modern, extra friendly and warm staff, and a comforting attention to detail. Going to the dentist's is pretty unpleasant but they've turned that dynamic on it's head with coffee, tea, and snacks, a bathroom decked out with face mists, dry shampoo packets, free chapsticks, lotions, etc, weighted blankets, and Netflix. They also didn't judge me for not going to a dentist for so long, and not flossing but complimented me on my brushing skills and encouraged me to try alternate ways of flossing... I ended up getting a waterpick and they gave me a discount on it. Also direct billing, and advice on my options that was really transparent and helpful. They also have a room full of toys for kids on their first visit which is full of quality items, not dollar store junk. Really amazing. I loved going there! Caught up on Stranger Things on Netflix, too. :) Thanks everyone! You're the best.

Amazing staff! They make you feel right at home. Very kind and supportive! Doctors and Hygienist are easy to talk to and do such a great job. I have braces and had to have some extractions Dr. Chin extract them effortlessly and are healing well. Will definitely recommend this practice! Wonderful people work here❤️❤️

I use Norwood Dental for my Basic teeth cleanings. Lisa is my hygienist and she is wonderful. I recommend this dental centre to all my friends. If you don’t have benefits and pay out of pocket their prices are very reasonable!
