I started taking classes at TDF as a way to stay active while quarantined during COVID-19. It was the most welcoming, judgement free, fun experience I have had in years! I haven't taken dance since elementary school, and I just had the best time. Nadine has created a completely innovative way to bring dance to her students while everyone stays safe at home. The classes are engaging and just SO MUCH FUN. 10/10.

I have been dancing at TDF for over a year now and have to say that I am so glad I started! I have always been on the shy and reserved side, but the classes I've taken, especially Ballet Fusion, have really helped me express myself in a whole new way. It's been such an adventure exploring different ways to move my body and letting the rest of the world melt away while I'm in class. I have also dabbled in Hip Hop and Jazz which have been so fun! My classes at TDF are something I look forward to each week! I am so grateful to have found such an amazing place. :-D

So I am sitting here having a crappy day at work. Opened up YT and the song suggestion is what we have been practicing for! I listened to it - dancing in my head.. Totally made my day.. That is the kind of experience you get learning to dance with Nadine and Dori.. It is personally momentous. Two talented choreographers who are methodically adaptive with the class and are just a pleasant to learn from. I only started with Hiphop in my mind but seeing how they teach - how they interpret hiphop, I want to sign up for different styles. Thank You guys!

I am so honored to be one of the first to review the Troy Dance Factory. I have had the great pleasure of being a student, teacher, and friend of Troy Dance Factory. When I was a student Nadine and all of the teachers made dancing fun, and a whole new learning experience. As a teacher for the Troy Dance Factory I had the joy to work, dance, and teach with amazing individuals. Nadine and those that I have met through the Troy Dance Factory have now become friends. Troy Dance Factory is an amazing place to dance, learn and have fun for people of all ages and abilities. There is something there for everyone! I have nothing but good things to say about everyone there!

My 6 year son loves dancing and I wanted him to try it out. Of all of the dance companies in the Albany area. TDF was the only one to write me back. He is in Hip Hop for kids and he LOVES it. Nadine is great and works with you to make it happen. I drive from West Albany to go here and I am looking forward to the summer festival. I think it works out to about $10 ish a class. Not back IMO. I am hoping at some point he can try modern or contemporary or tap dance also. Great for the kids, son comes home happy and tired, win win.

I've loved my experience with Troy Dance Factory. TDF offers a wide variety of classes for all ages and skill levels--currently available via Zoom due to COVID. My experience with Nadine in Pure Beginner Ballet, Pure Beginner Tap and Advanced Beginner Tap has been unmatched. Nadine's instruction is intentional and thorough. She pays detailed attention to technique, explains movement/steps clearly, comes up with imaginative lessons and is dedicated to helping students grow. TDF is truly a gem! Highly recommend.

The instructors are passionate, and true artists when it comes to their creative teaching styles and choreography, and my fellow students have been nothing but generous and supportive. TDF is awesome! I grew up dancing (now in my late 20's), and as a newbie to the Albany area, I was looking for a studio that had adult classes so I tried Troy Dance Factory. That was about a year or so ago, and I am so glad I found TDF! It's exactly what I was looking for. There is a range of classes available and killer choreo. Try it! Nadine is great!

I've danced a lot of places, but this studio is the best one I've been to. Love the advanced beginner tap class; a non performance class for people who like the style and want to stay in shape. It is a fantastic workout for body, mind and soul! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

TDF is the best studio in the Capital Region, and it is a rare gem as far as dance studios go. It is very hard to find season-long and year-long dance sessions as an adult. TDF requires you to commit to months of attending classes, which means you will grow as a person and as a team when you go to class. For year-long classes, they hold an annual "showcase" (recital) which allows all dancers--adults and children--to show off what they've learned. The teachers are very talented dancers who incorporate research and theory into their classes, so you're getting a full dance education here; not just a workout. TDF is committed to your growth as a dancer, and they will work with you to ensure that you improve no matter what level you start at. They have a wide range of classes, from hip hop to ballet fusion to parkour, and they are always expanding their offerings. Their added bonuses--flashmobs, weekend video-instructed classes, the annual Choreographer's Ball--are great ways to engage their members and build a sense of community.
