My daughter has been dancing here for years. Without qualification, I can say that the instructors are all wonderful and the values of the culture are spot on … fun, positive and healthy. It’s become like a family. I’m grateful for the time and effort the studio puts in - it’s clearly their passion - and for how much fun my daughter has been able to have. As a student of the studio, I can confirm that we have the best teachers you could ever have, hands down. They are working hard every week to make our recitals the best they can be and helping our whole crew of dancers develop the skill to create the beautiful artwork you see on the stage. Our family was a part of DMSOD for 14 years and therefore DMSOD became a part of our family. My girls received excellent instruction from everyone that taught them. Both have continued to dance in college and dance continues to be very important to them.....all because of their experiences with this studio. Recitals are the best I've ever seen. Attention to every detail is key! Debbie never misses a beat, literally and figuratively. Cost is very reasonable!!! Excellent value for all that you get! Debbie and her staff are extremely professional.....quality of instruction, communication, age appropriate music/dances/costumes.

I danced here for approximately 10 years when I was a kid and wouldn’t dream of sending my daughter anywhere else!! Debbie is FANTASTIC and all of the teachers/staff are amazing as well. My daughter absolutely loves it here and has learned so much throughout the years. Go see a recital...Nothing but hard work and perfection. The choreography is unbelievable and you can tell that they all have so much fun too. Highly recommended!!

I have been dancing at DMSOD for almost 7 years now, and my experience has been nothing but positive. I started later as a dancer, but Miss Debbie and all my other teachers quickly brought me up to speed on the fundamentals and technique that I needed. It was the best decision ever and I couldn’t imagine my life without my DMSOD family! Miss Debbie’s professionalism and love for dance is evident and same with all the teachers. The recitals never fail to impress, and my family looks forward to it every year! They are always done with such class and attention to detail.

DMSOD has been an amazing experience for my 10 year old! She’s been dancing there since kindergarten and has loved every minute of it. The teachers are extremely knowledgeable and experienced in dance. Lucy has learned the appropriate terminology for dance steps/movements. The teachers truly show their love and care for each individual student and help them grow into beautiful dancers. She always leaves her dance classes with a giant smile! The studio has truly become a dance family that we are so happy to be a part of. There are multiple levels, classes that are offered which would fit anyone! I couldn’t be happier with DMSOD!

I can’t say enough about this studio! My daughter has danced at Deborah McKay since she was 5! She just completed her 8th year there and when I say she lives for dance it might be an understatement. As a parent I have been throughly impressed with the overall character of the studio. Debbie demands professionalism from all of her students and she gets it. She encourages them to put their heart and soul into their work, and that passion and attention to detail stays with them even off the dance floor. I have walked into the studio on many occasions and seen groups of girls sitting together on the floor, waiting for their next class and not once have I seen them being unkind or snotty to each other. They are mature, respectful and outgoing. They are building life long friendships!

We have been with DMSOD for 10, going on 11 years with both daughters. We are so happy that they have had dance as a main focus in their lives. We selected Debbie’s studio for their professionalism in teaching, and the combined talent between all instructors which continues to be amazing - along with their dedication to their students and classes. The choreography is always tasteful, creative and exciting to watch with performances done to the highest degree of professionalism and quality. We are so grateful that the studio was able to operate once they were allowed to reopen during the pandemic, with strict measures in place to ensure the health of all students and staff. Having dance as a healthy outlet during this uncertain time gave a sense of normalcy to all our lives, especially during an extremely challenging year. We could not be more appreciative to Debbie and all of the instructors for doing everything possible to have an outstanding performance this year (as are all performances) - with countless obstacles to overcome and ever-changing regulations to adhere to with the pandemic. Debbie and staff made it happen. So thankful to be a part of this studio and dance family with a wonderful group of teachers and students whom we’ve enjoyed watching grow into amazing dancers over the years.

We tried another school before this one, and felt this was such a better fit. They welcome everyone and offer a large variety of dancing styles. The recital at the end of the year is such a joy to watch and they always choose gorgeous costumes. Ages run from preschool through high school. You can tell just by how the older girls interact that they have a very tight bond with each other. Many graduates come back to teach, which I think is a real testament to how well everyone is treated and respected. DMSOD is all about the dancers and letting them shine. Our first year, Debbie allowed an impromptu encore for a preschooler who had needed a bathroom break during her class's performance. Debbie threw her very carefully planned recital schedule out the window to make sure that little girl got her moment on stage. We knew then that this was the place for us!

My daughter has danced at Debbie MacKay for the past 6 years. It is an amazing school that helps to teach a solid dance foundation. It’s been wonderful to watch the growth of the students as dancers from year to year. But, it’s also been wonderful to see the friendships that have grown from dance class as well. Debbie and her amazing staff and student demonstrators have created a supportive, encouraging environment for the students that shines through in the way the girls, and boys, rely on each other, cheer for each other and tear up for the graduating seniors during the recital. To Debbie Tiffany, Owner and Director, Deborah MacKay School of Dance: I thought this year's show, May 2019, like so many before it, was truly outstanding! My 81-year-old mother also came, as she tries to every year, and she said she felt like she was at a professional show. She was very entertained by all of the performances not just her granddaughter's (although she was especially thrilled when her granddaughter was on stage of course). Congratulations for always holding to such high standards. It really shows!

What an amazing “family” DMSOD studio has created! My daughters have been dancing there since they were in pre-school and I couldn’t see them dancing anywhere else! Debbie offers a variety of styles, levels, and challenges to all the dancers! Each and every teacher brings out the best in them week after week! The recitals are TOP NOTCH! Costumes are well thought out and appropriate, songs and dances showcase the dancers progress and skill, and Debbie’s attention to detail does not go unnoticed! It’s amazing that she and her staff were able to safely and successfully put on a recital with all the covid guidelines and it exceeded our expectations! ????
