Nowadays this business gets a score of 3.9 over 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is really positive, and it is founded on a high number of opinions, so we can conclude that the rating is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually stop to put reviews when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Dance School belongs to the category of Public university.

EMU Financial Aid department doesn't know what they are doing. -2 stars. Degree's were useless -1 Star. Overall a waste of time & money.
I graduated from here and got a good job a few months after. My teachers really cared about the topics and the students. I highly recommend this school for an affordable degree that is well respected.
This is the 4th university I have attended, and I must say I have been extremely happy with my education here! They really do put students first, especially compared to Wayne State (which I also liked very much): from little things like free parking the first week of classes, to big things like individualized attention from professors. I am in a Masters program at EMU and find the faculty to be well-qualified and involved in the community. If you are looking for a place that works hard to be inclusive to all sorts of demographics, with plenty of community outreach opportunities, take a serious look at Eastern Michigan University.
It's a nice campus. But has terrible food
Avoid: Brian Bruya Otherwise some great professors and great enrollment process. Good communication. Course selection online could be a little better (labelling of types of courses) and the fact MFA has to be done pretty often is irritating. Nice campus and not as busy as some of the bigger universities.
My daughter's 1st year at EMU.
You get what you pay. Ypsilanti is a almost dead town for EMU students. Academic activities are pretty much scarce or basic. This university is not focus on research and does not promote serious research if you are interested. In general, professors don't foster up-to-day discussions in class. The classic class discussion at the COB was based on news from WSJ. I haven't heard one business case in more than 12 courses. Interactions in online courses were confined to simple opinions mostly. My impression was they wanted to avoid to participate actively in contemporary or deep dialogue that can cause controversy. The library is OK but lacks of key journal subscriptions. Eateries are basically common fast food. If you are an International Student, it would be better to choose any other place.
The college is "AWESOME" it's a whole alot bigger than my old college because i came from Henry Ford Community College so now i'm at a Univesity. This school does has alot of lecture halls and small classes too; the campus is so beautiful you can jog, bike cycle, walk, or skateboard around the campus if you want. EMU is a perfect school you should attend because msot teacher here are amazing, the tutors are patient, and there are a few work study rooms here! Please go on tour and check around this amazing school, and just join EMU!
Nice clean campus. Kids are nice. Just dont stray outside the campus
No interest of ever being here.
It sounds great and I hope I will be able to go after high school...
Some of the professors were personable, but I was an older student with a teenage son living with me and a husband met and married in 1st year at EMU. I was embarrassed by a computer instructor (Morrey Kramer) who held student/professor meeting wearing shorts so tight and small that his scrotum protruded from underneath. He sat spread eagled with a snide expression on his face when i entered his office to resolve course issue. Not a professional image. Other embarrassing actions around this one professor draws a negative referral to attend the campus. also, the financial aid office manager lost an important military document and veteran benefit document causing necessity of taking a supposedly temporary student loan...until she could "find it."
It was an easy ride. Not too difficult to navigate using the route signs posted.
I've had a great time as a student here. Most of my professors have been impactful and are proud to be at EMU and Ypsilanti. The scholarships keep getting better too and EMU shows commitment to making a college degree possible for everyone. The administration is not the greatest, but they rarely affect you since they aren't who you deal with daily. I love the program that I am in, and the professors and my advisor have always been supportive. Campus is great too as it's a good midsized campus, which gives the effect that campus is huge during your first year but by your third year it'll feel so small. It is also a midsized university which gives the big/small effect as well, since during the 15 minutes between the main class times, the hallways and sidewalks are jam packed, but if you're walking around during class time, the hallways and sidewalks are completely empty. EMU and it's campus have a chill laid back vibe. The main universal complaint about EMU is the parking, but it really is not that bad. At first, I did think parking was terrible, but you really just need to learn what lots are open at what times. All the small lots that are the closest will be filled after 8am. The Science Complex lot will be filled after 9am. The parking structure will be filled after 9:30am. If you're coming to campus after those times, you really just need to head to the Green lot. I think people dislike the Green lot just because it feels like a long walk, but you can get to most buildings in at least 10 minutes. The Green lot never fills up, so there will always be a spot for you to park on campus. Also, I don't get why everyone complains about the price. Of course I think it's ridicously that a public university makes you pay to park, parking should always be free. But, EMU has one of the lowest parking fees around. I'm pretty sure the cheapest parking you can get at Wayne State is still $50 more than at EMU. And speaking of cheap parking, there is also the option to park off campus, at the athletic campus, and then you ride a free shuttle that drops you off in the heart of main campus. I did this back when it was free, and now they charge you like $20 to park there for a semester, so I just buy an actual pass now, but if you really want to save money this is a fine option, I did it for two years, and it's not bad at all since the shuttle ride is only like 10 minutes. But yeah, overall I love EMU. I've met so many cool people here and made a lot of good memories. It's disappointing how many people have a negative view of EMU, but I think it's because EMU is a commuter college, and commuter students generally do not feel that connected with the college they go to. Even though I commute, EMU has always been a home to me.
For being in a bad area this school is a -glowing- success story. I was not a good student 'til I enrolled @ EMU. Very caring faculty who customized a program that met my needs. I had a very positive experience, but was amidst a few fellow students who were bitter because they were turned down by better schools. Don't listen to them!
Graduated in 2001. Had wonderful professors. Got into grad school and had multiple offers thanks to the education, experience and advice I received from EMU profs. I never had any problems with campus safety. Off-campus in Ypsi can be sketchy.
a lot of memorable moments.
Nice cozy place
Eastern Michigan University wants your money. They don't care about anything else. They'll disburse your student loans 12 hours after the deadline so they can charge you a late fee. They'll charge you $50 for dropping a class before the semester starts even though the whole system is run by computers so you didn't make any more work for anyone. They'll outsource their parking lots to a 3rd party that charges students more for the next 30 years to make a quick buck now.
Go to U of M. EMU isn't a ranked school. You'll do better in life with a degree from U of M.
Great campus
It was my daughters college tour today and we had a great time❤
Great school, especially their GIS Program. Graduated in 2006. It's been 10 years since i left the school and a long overdue visit back to our great school and professors from here.
Great place
My education at EMU is the best thing that's ever happened to me. The learning and leadership opportunities outside of the classroom were some of the best experiences of my whole life, and I feel prepared to be successful in the real world. EMU has a beautiful campus, amazing people, and is generally very welcoming.
It was a great time, and always welcomed to all walks, loves, acquaintances, easy on the wallet, can fill your mind and schedule with work ethics, focus, and determination. A Great University of the Area.
LOVE IT HERE
Has some gnarly hills to bomb
EMU continues to protect, and keep our adult children safe on campus, as well in the dorms, while providing a quality education online. So grateful!!!
I love eastern
Awful
I attended EMU and loved every minute of it. I highly recommend living on or close to campus. If you are a commuter your experience WILL NOT be the same. EMU offered many different opportunities for me outside of the classroom including starting a student organization to promote school spirit and also working for the Office for Alumni Relations as a web designer, graphic designer, and social media specialist. There is so much opportunity at EMU and in Ypsi, you just have to be eager to explore!
Other than one class I had, I have not had one good experience at EMU and the one that finally topped it off for me to leave a review is the fact that I was told I'd be able to graduate after I finish a specific few classes and I took the last few classes and in the end, weeks from finishing I get a letter saying I need 3 more credits even though I have WRITTEN proof saying otherwise and the only solution they gave me is a sorry and to go to a community college to save money and take the class. Not an exception not the option to take a free class since I was told incorrectly but to spend the non existent money I have to take another class after I finally paid off all my past tuition in full.
Nice Place.
Easy going
I do like the fact that EMU is a university that targets working class students of all backgrounds, I liked the Social Work department, the faculty does a good job depending on the person, and some of the student groups are doing some important work in improving the university. However, the administration especially the Board of Regents are extremely out of touch with students and faculty for various reasons to the point where the EMU Faculty Senate issued a no trust agreement. What's even worse is that they have been appointed by a governor since the 1960s, which means they are not elected by citizens and students alike. The administration also did a really poor job handling the racist graffiti incident last year and almost expelled a student for occupying the Student Center. The food at EMU's campus is not really good at all and tuition has increased significantly.
Am amazing university! It's been in the top 5 of Military friendly colleges in the country for many years now!
small school and professors did not have phd. Not a good school
Great area
Very clean and quiet though the spring semester already ended.
My wife went here and she loved it.
You'll get from your education the effort you put into it. Ypsilanti is a great town.
Terrible experience. Support staff is uncaring and rude. They charge you fees even years after you've left. All that in an environment with the safety of a war zone. I wish I would have avoided EMU.
Hate the place.sort.just not our place that treated us not so pleasant.
Very organized , super helpful, GREAT NURSE . First covid-19 in the arms .
Beautiful campus!
A very decent school, considering its size. The campus is hilly and good for a challenging walk or run.
I graduated from EMU with my Master's degree. I had a really good experience. The faculty and staff really care about the students.
This college is more focused on money and appearance than they are academia. Also, transferring students are not given clear direction. The military are looked down upon by other students and extremist groups (BLM, Feminists, etc.) are given the limelight any time they wish. I have received numerous emails about how the black community deserves better representation as well as better education. Not one word about military scholars who are working full time, supporting a family, attending 12+ credit hours per semester and still maintaining Dean's list grades. The priorities of EMU are way off course. They claim to have diversity among students, which they do have, but having diversity does not mean providing equality throughout.
Great campus, glad to be an alumnae.
Way better than that hole to the west. Great colors too.
It's a good school. They're doing a lot of improvements in both the educators and the facilities.
Proud EMU alum. This is a great school. It's a beautiful campus that's not too huge, but a good size, and contained. But there are nice local businesses for students within walking distance. The campus has a great mix of historic buildings, some from the turn of the 20th Century; mid-century buildings from the time of the school's big expansion; and new and nicely renovated buildings as well. A great, diverse student body and plenty of faculty that are devoted to teaching.
Eastern Michigan University is a great place to visit. They also offer a wide variety of educational choices in the arena of higher education. The campus is somewhat sprawling so it is hard to navigate for some by foot. Their interior common areas are well kept up. Their food cafeteria, at least the one I visited on Oakwood is well appointed. The difficulty, however, is that during times when classes are not in session the only thing that is open is Starbucks. That’s okay, however, it is expensive and offers a limited set of nutritional choices. Not ideal for college students nor faculty and staff. The grounds are well kept up in general – for example the lake is attractive and contains a fountain. The appearance, however, because of this ‘classic’ presentation from what appears to be the 1960’s is the general exclusion of wildlife with the exception of a permanent flock of Canada Geese which have apparently abandoned the practice of migration in exchange for ice free water and free food. When I was there last there was a large irrigation wheel left against a tree. It appeared dangerous and was unsightly. The last criticism I have to offer is in regards to the parking fees. They are excessive and frequent. As public transportation to the area is sporadic and inefficient the major mode of transport is personal car. The parking fees are just another expense that makes it clear that some higher learning will not be provided without higher prices.
Detailed review if you are thinking of being a student here! I am an international student from Myanmar (Burma) studying Information Assurance & Cyber Defense after I transfer from community college in California. I swear that my writing is made of 100% facts and truths. No scholarship for international students even if you meet GPA. Education: I had positive experience with most professors. They are really caring and understand your problems and special circumstances. Talk to them. They are also good at giving time to students who want to ask questions one on one in office hours. It is like getting a private tutor. However, there are professors I had bad experience with. I would not mention name in here but go to "rate my professors" and read recent reviews that starts with "//". The classes are mostly required to read textbook. But if the professors are good, they will explain everything you need in class. Otherwise, they will just tell you to read the book. Very bad refund policy compared to other colleges. Dual-enroll at WCC for GenEds to save money and worry free GPA. Campus: I don't feel safe even while walking on campus during the day time. So many crimes just outside of campus and a few on campus. The parking is so bad that you won't find a spot even tho you are paying same price as the parkings in SF Bay Area. Tickets are strictly enforced and sometimes even gave ticket mistakenly. Dorms: I stayed at "The Village EMU" on my first semester since it was Summer 2019. The drinking water fountain is only located in the Village office. It closes after 8pm or so. If you have late classes, don't expect to get water unless you go out of campus and buy at convenient store. Walls are thin so easy to hear someone even if you have hearing problems. Buildings are decaying so when someone heavy walks on above floor, you will not only hear it but also shaking sometimes. When I moved in, the bathroom was super dirty. I later learned that they won't be cleaned even tho it is supposed to every semester as long as there is other roommate sharing the bathroom keep living in the same room every semester without moving out. There are spots on carpet as if they are not properly deep cleaned. I had to took a video since I move in before opening the room door for the first time. Otherwise, it looks like you will be responsible for those damages. When I move out, the managing lady from Physical Plant came in and look at rooms and ordered what to do to janitors before new students move in for the next semester. Those janitors never did even tho the new student moved in. Portable heaters are not allowed in any residence except 2 apartment residences with written permission. This is a huge problem when the windows cannot properly seal the cold. Long story short, I had bullish roommate who is a student athletic for tracks. The Village director is hesitating to take actions even tho I had enough evidence like voice and video recordings of my roommate breaking many rules in ways that harm others like me. 18+ noises after midnight, restroom hygiene, opening AC even tho outside is 40°F, etc...The director told me to follow protocol which is to report RA->assistant director (student)->director before coming to him. I told him that I could not rely on any other students whom may or may not be friends of his. I am afraid of my life due to retaliation. The director told me that there is nothing he could do since he is a student athletic. There was also no more rooms to move him. He said he will review the evidence. I waited a few days but no actions. I told all about my problem to the head of International Student Program. She told me to send an email again this time saying that they are aware of the situation and watching how it is being handled. The director this time took action the next day by asking my roommate to move out of the room. Even then, he was helped by other student staff in moving his belongings as well as car transportation(given so much special privileges and treatments) when he clearly endangered the fellow roommates.
Love the Public Relations Program and professors at EMU. They really care about their students learning the material. Exams are only a portion of the grade and aren't multiple choice like other courses. They ensure you know the material and you can apply everything you'you've learned. Further, they provide every opportunity for you to pick their brain and learn what they know. You have to be willing to learn and do what's required of you to appreciate the university as a whole.
Decent school with a wide of academic disciplines. Parking is an issue
it was gay
Nice stadium. There for aau junior Olympics. Neighborhoods kinda rough surrounding the campus.
needs more cameras on campus I've gotten multiple things stolen living here now. commuting isn't bad though
I think it may be the best university in Michigan for Computer Science students... For bright students it is a great opportunity to get Scholorship here...!
Great moved my Daughter into her dorm
Bread and butter
Great
This is the worst taco bell ive ever been to.
I was at a swim meet at the pool I got 3 bug bites. Pool is very dirty and old. I don’t recommend this college if swimming, the locker rooms are dirty and dingey.
Love this school!!!
Sucks. .-.
Great sale
Just Finishing up my last year at EMU. I really do like the program I'm in, Entertainment Design and Technology. Lots of good people on this campus, and not too many negative interactions with professors. That being said, this school is famous for keeping people here longer than they should be, especially in regards with advisors telling you that you do need a certain credit to graduate, or not really being on top of your requirements at all. I personally haven't had these issues, but more than enough of my friends have said so. Also the parking has been awful since day one, and only got worse when they decided to privatize it...
How sad that the EMU has the funds to create a "grey turf" football field yet is cutting serval other sports including wrestling to save money. What a mismanagement of funds. The board of regents needs to be disbanded.
They have strict but great teacher training program here.
I had an excellent experience academically. I spent most of my time at the College of Business. Also, the majority of professors I encountered were passionate and engaging. The only complaint I have, is regarding parking. They increased the price of parking passes significantly but didn't increase the amount of parking spaces. Depending on the time of your classes you just might pay for a parking pass you can't use.
Best school in MICHIGAN
Great campus and university. WiFi all over campus, not always enough parking but otherwise it is a beautiful and gray campus.
Ghetto. Terrible roads. Be safe they drive like there's no road rules.
Eastern is a great place to get an education. Eastern's main emphasis is on undergraduate education. The first undergraduate research symposium for undergrads in the U.S. was developed at Eastern. Many new technical programs have been added - full mechanical, electrical and computer engineering programs.
EMU is awesome, students are great and the staff is amazing. The ROTC is the gold standard for what an ROTC program should be.
As an EMU Alumni...I had an amazing education and an excellent experience. It helped launch my business career into entrepreneurship. I highly recommend touring the campus and reaching out to the leadership to experience it for yourself.
I'm honestly so sad that I chose eastern Michigan as my school. Literally go anywhere else but this school, for anything.
I really enjoyed my time at EMU, the class sizes were perfect (not too large or too small) and my professors were competent and helpful. It does seem to have sort of an identity problem though with UofM being so close by and I had a lot of trouble with the admissions department.
Living on campus can be great depending on where you live. The First Year Center is ok. Nothing special. The buildings are quite old though and in need of serious renovations. Other options for middle years are Wise, Downing, the Towers and univeristy apartments. They each have their own merits such as proximity to class, facilities, room size and all that. The Towers is undeniably the best and most expensive of course. You get single rooms and in some cases your own bathroom if you're lucky. Finally, there is an off campus living called Penninsula place. I've never lived there nor been inside but a lot of students seem to like it. I know it offers apartment style living and you pay rent as well. Don't know much else. Coming to crime, Ypsi isn't exactly the safest of neighborhoods. You will often get crime reports from the EMU police in your email. HOWEVER, most of the crimes occur off campus and sometimes even in Ann Arbor. Campus security is high thanks to the campus police and SEUSS (a program for helping students walk across campus at evening and night-time.) Basically, don't do anything stupid like walking or driving into the shady parts of the city at night and you should be fine. There are many food options on campus. Most of these are in the Eateries which is in the Freshman dorms, Student Center has a bunch as well including Subway, Wendys and even Starbucks for you coffee fiends and a convenience store as well. There is also the Commons which serves various new dishes every day in an all you can eat buffet style. This was my favorite when I was a resident on campus. You can mostly always find something good to eat. Finally, there are a bunch of cafes in the various classroom buildings and the library. For commuters, I've never really had any problem with parking. Most of the people that complain are probably those that want parking to be right next to their classroom.
Cut the wrestling program, get a 1 star rating. Simple as that.
Too Much Water
Returning to college after 20 years is an intimidating experience. Some great professors have helped me get back the confidence that this is something I can do. The occasional poor teacher but overall a great place to get that degree and get into the workforce with confidence and a good education.
Perfect university ! really liked the results from them!
This is for the financial aid department I called to see if I needed an appointment and they said they don't take appointments they said just to come in. So I took the morning off of work drove 1.5 hours to the campus and was told they can not do anything without me filing for FASFA, Seriously! INFORMATION I NEEDED BEFORE I took off work and then drove all the way down here for nothing!!!!!!!! They need to get it together down there!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOOO TICKED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Great student life.
outstanding Facility
University is more concerned about MONEY than students. If you have a serious medical issue and cannot complete class while hospitalized, they will still charge you for everything and expect you to come back and pay again!! It's just wrong and shame on EMU!
Beautiful campus! Great game atmosphere.
Am a graduate of EMU, . Excellent School
I just started working there. Students were moving in. Staff is friendly and helpful. Thumbs up to the head Chef for making my first day smooth.
Going to be charged with fraud! Bring back wrestling!
The graduation held on December 21, 2013 at 2 p.m. was a disaster. The was some lady who was reading off names of graduates who had the loudest voice I have ever heard and very annoying. Guests were holding their hands over their ears to cut of some of her loud annoying voice, while some escaped to the halls. Second some idiot closed some of the doors at the handicap entrance leaving only two doors open and people were mobbed trying to get out. When i asked why they did not open more than two doors, her reply was 'to keep people from coming back in"what ever that means. Having graduates exit at the handicap parking lot exit must have been the decision of an idiot. It only caused more jams and confusion. Furthermore there were NO parking attendance to direct cars and some one shut off the traffic light and had police take over with hand signals which only caused more confusion. All and all a almost perfect graduation was ruined. As a guest I will never return to that mess again. Certainly after as many graduation ceremonies you have held you surely could have done a better job that you did.
I am EMU grad as a Huron. I would have given 6 stars EMU was still a Huron.
I completed my schooling here in undergraduate studies in Psychology and MS in HR Management/Organizational Development many moons ago and maybe it’s changed but in my experience, EMU never contributed to a career in HR. It never did for me and I had plans to go this route for nothing! In 2005 you had to be selected as a “graduate assistant” by a professor and how many graduate assistants can there be? The professors were arrogant and rude in the college of business, groups of female students were volatile in a team environment. I took a class with a blonde haired professor who commuted from Illinois and she let these narcissistic lowlife women control the classroom.I won’t go into detail as to what happened but let’s just say it made me resent Eastern Michigan overall and I am proud to say I haven’t lived in MI in over 15 years. In my opinion, Eastern’s business program is poor because they are NOT invested in the student’s future success. They just care about the money they receive for tuition to pay for their arrogant professors and other stupid programs. I only wish I never completed my MSHROD program here only to be told at my “exit” interview by an ‘academically arrogant’ professor that “I am worried about your graduation” because I didn’t answer the questions the way she wanted them to be. A month or 2 later, I walked in the commencement with my cap, gown, and diploma with a 3.2 GPA with no problems in ‘my graduation’ and later to moved to CA where I only wish I could have completed my education instead of EMU college of business. As info, Dr. Fraya Marsh-Wagner was one of the weakest management authority of the business department. I am sure it was her tenure and degree that got her in that position, not her impeccable management skills. In my opinion, I would not pursue a business degree here as there are other more professional institutions to attend. The ones who RESPECT and WORK WITH students passionate to learn and grow! Eastern is good for basic teaching degrees and other easy subjects but NOT for business! Again, everyone’s experience is/was different and mine changed when I pursued my business degree. Undergrad studies was great but my experience in graduate studies was the worst and I sure do regret pursuing at Gary Owen College of Business and spending that hard earned money out of my pocket. Students beware!????
Safe and swift
EMU is one of those places where you don't realize how good the education you're getting is until several years after you've graduated. By that point you have had a chance to meet and compete with people from other schools and to see what has become of your EMU friends. Everyone I know is doing well, myself included. I can't complain.
stupid admission employees ever seen in my life they have made me miss three semesters saying that they’ve lost my paper work and still need to take a look at it. biggest mistake in my life by thinking of going there.
I'm just beginning my first semester this fall and am already very disappointed. Went to my adviser this spring to go over what classes I needed and was told I need 2 more art classes to complete my gen ed requirement. I took one at WCC this summer and when I went to speak with him again before my fall semester he told me I don't need any as I have an associates from Washtenaw so they're all covered. Not only did he waste a large amount of my money but 3 months of my time taking a class that I don't need nor wanted to take that does not count toward my degree in Biology! Compared with my experiences at Wayne State and WCC, Eastern has been terrible so far. I can see why their graduation rate is so low. Also if you register for a class but then need to drop it they charge you a $50 service fee for every class you register, even if you drop it before the semester starts, absolutely ridiculous.
Student center was rated 3rd nicest in the country...over Michigan's...nice overlook of the pond
Everything was great at Eastern Michigan, I got my shot with flying colors. Thank you very much.
I absolutely loved EMU I went there from 2009-2012 and could not have wished for a better experience. These people with bad reviews are probably those looking for a free degree. Maybe MSU or Wayne state does give free degrees, who knows. The professors do challenge you so that you are prepared for your future, isn't that what we come to college for? Beautiful campus, filled with caring instructors, and students. My only wish is that I would have had to pay for my education so I could have stayed longer. People are correct that EMU is not in the best location but if you stay on campus there is very little to be concerned with. I do not regret going to EMU in an circumstance, and have nothing but fond memories of attending Eastern. EMU alumni and proud to be one.
Eastern Michigan University has the absolute worst Academic and Financisl Advisors in the country. Every time you talk to someone, the next person gives you totally different information. For example: Advisor 1: You need Class X,Y,Z. You register for classes. Advisor 2: you didn’t need to take Y, and you have to take X before you can take Z. But to take X you need Q and it’s not available until the next semester. Financial Advisors are just as awesome. I wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. All they want is your money.
This school is not good. It's not safe at all. Professors are not good. Exams are 60% from the lecture and 40% came from nowhere. If you want to go to good school, then pick MSU, WAYNE STATE, MICHIGAN STATE.... eastern is a small university and it has a small class size. They give out a lot of homeworks and projects and it was like crazy. I transferred to MSU and it was much better.
Leona Catherine Knight Ardito was there for her Graduate it's was Cassie and Connie.
Save you’re money and goto community college, then transfer to a real university. To the guy that said emu has beautiful campus, clearly never been literally any other campus, wcc has better campus than emu. If you’re looking to explore and experience real college life, and meet people from all over the country/world. Learn new things, and get good education, this isn’t it.
i would to tell every one do not even think to register at this university, because they give me hard time to accept the credits form the community college in addition and the GPA was 3.5 they try to rash me to take some classes with out tell about the college credits .So do not waste your time there .
Was able to get in the parking lot and out very easily with no problems ????
Garbage garbage garbage!!!! Racism to the max against minorities and rude staff
It was good. Little bit of a wait, but once in, it was good
I was assaulted and threatened by a teacher in the parking lot and the school refused to take action as the incident happened when the teacher was out of the classroom. If the roles were reversed I would expect to have been kicked out or put on academic probation. Double standard.
Education
Tuition is rather high and less scholarship opportunities then other nearby campuses. The campus is rather large and pretty. Professors and students are unfriendly.
Athletic dept is very customer service oriented to all ticket holders. Love watching the Eagles play
C.r.e.a.m. No care for students nor alum very uninvolved campus life too 1/10 do not recommend
Granted that most professors at this school are wonderful and qualified, the bureaucracy of this school is damn aweful. I have been f**ked over so many times I am having to just bend over and take in order to graduate. They do not care about the students as much as they do incoming money and their precious buildings.
I graduated from EMU, the class of 94. It's been fantastic 4+ years in my life when in Ypsilanti, Mi.
Most unprofessional business offices I have ever felt with! They say they are open Anne you drive 45 minutes to find out they are closed unt September. Mind you this is April! The financial aid office will screw you and charge you fees when they are the ones that control financial aid. You call and they tell you they will call back then never call! The advisors don’t know up from down! I am so glad that we are done with this school! I would not suggest ANY ever go here!
I am about to attend EMU this fall. So far, after a series of meetings with faculty advisers and some campus tours, I have been feeling more and more confident about having a good time with the years I will spend at EMU. The people are outgoing and enjoyable to have around, most of the buildings are in good shape (with a number of them modernized for today's learning), the food service here is pretty appetizing, among other factors.
Love this college!! My mother grad. In 1944 or 1945, my husband's brother, sister in law and our niece grad. From EMU. Great Smashburger!
Always nice!
Doesn’t score points on Tuesday nights. Absolutely wrecks the over. They should be demoted to Division II. 0/10 would not recommend.
This college is a scam don't this college
Emu is a pain in the ass about everything. They suck at scheduling and most of the workers are ass holes who think there big shots. Most of the teachers are good though I can say that but I wouldn't recommend this school they are greedy and care more about money and how they look than you as a student. The graduation rate is low they handle money poorly and give you a lot of headaches and stress.
Some good professors, but good luck with the college as a whole.
very good campus and teachers
Rowing team and coaching staff was very welcoming! Beautiful and friendly campus!
They are exceedingly strict on thier parking policies even on the weekends, and even now during the pandemic. They take bad reviews down that they don't like, so I'm putting this one back up.
we have been x5 8i78i86y
not good in science. bad management. English as second Language are bad management, low quality in education and bad judgment.
Parking is difficult to find and the construction on the streets makes it difficult to get to where I need to go. Otherwise it was okay.
Eastern has extremely helpful and caring staff, and they welcome transfer students (like myself) with minimal loss of credit. There are plenty of opportunities to get involved on campus, and I've found that so many of the students here are genuine and down to earth. Class sizes are smaller so the professors are accessible and personable. Eastern is a wonderful school and if you work hard, you will receive a quality education for a great value!
I live in the campus area
