My boys LOVE going here. The teachers really know how to connect with the kids, and the director gets emotional along with you as she watches the students perform. I have watched my teenage son come out of his quiet shell in the acting classes. My 9 year old son has developed a deep understanding and appreciation for music and dancing, and now has the confidence to audition and perform on stage. Star is a wonderful, family oriented studio which focuses on challenging students to do their best and inspires them to grow.

Star Performance Academy is without a doubt a fantastic performing arts studio, with outstanding faculty and staff. There is always someone available to answer any questions I may have and office staff reply promptly to all emails. My 6 year old daughter loves her tap and hip hop class.....she comes home every week with a huge smile on her face! Based on experiences with other studios in the area, we are more than confident that we made the right choice choosing Star Performance Academy.

I have my kids in a few rec classes there. Norm's glee class is great: he's structured, teaches the kids about how to perform on stage, and really motivates them to do better each week. My other son is in two of the boys' hip-hop classes. He loves it and shows off his moves at home and to his friends at school. The studio sends out a monthly newsletter with updates plus separate emails for anything important. Did your kid lose a shoe? That email goes out to everyone, too. The online area for customers has all the necessary information, too, in case you lose something in your inbox, and the reception staff knows their stuff, so you can call them, as well. I've also seen the owner talking to parents when she's not teaching, and from what I've seen, she's always upbeat and professional. The owner also takes part in conferences to keep her knowledge up to speed on the dance industry, technique, and the health of young dancers. When I see the routines at the year-end show, the music is appropriate for the age category but something the kids clearly enjoy.

my son danced here for 5 years. 4 competitively. they cut him out because he wouldn't dance "their way". Worst of all.. owner never even talked to us. sent an email tossing him. never spoke in person after many tries. i still have emails so if she denies...i can respond...i am happy to send them to you so you can decide if this is the school for your child. it is hard to read a review and know if person writing it is crazy. i am not. i am just appalled that someone would run a child based business this way.

This place has the worst communication I have ever seen. They expect students to do MANDATORY SOLICITING FOR ADVERTISING as well. They DO NOT care about advancing the children's dance skills. If you want to turn your child OFF DANCE...go here.

This studio is fantastic. They have a variety of programs for all ages, for both boys and girls. The focus is on self-improvement, team spirit and supporting one another. My daughter has been going here for five years, and loves it. Whether you go hard core and dance competitively or just for fun, you are always treated with respect and personal attention is given to your child's particular needs. I really cannot recommend this studio enough. There is something special about this place, my daughter feels like family there and the teachers really take their role as mentors seriously.

Everyone at Star Performance Academy have been so accommodating and helpful. With complete wonderful programs, staff and teachers and absolutely no pressure, it is the perfect spot to try out all outlets of creativity. From Dance, music and acting they have a little something for everyone. Are you a beginner? This place is perfect, you have a little more drive and skill, they have their Star Performance competitive teams too. A must see and check them out!

This was a terrible first time experience. I brought my 2 year old son for his first trial lesson, when I got there I had no idea where to go and the man at the front seemed just as confused. I brought my child to the back, he went into the class for all of 5 minutes before the “teacher” came out and said to try a different class when that was the class suggested for his age group. The environment was not friendly, no direction as to where exactly the waiting area was. Don’t make the mistake of trying this place for your first experience as they will make you and your child feel unwanted.

Our daughter and son have been dancing at Star for a few years and have had the best experiences. Miss Kristin and the rest of the staff are top notch and have accommodated the very different needs of both kids. They have learned so much, not just about dance, at Star and their lives have been enriched. I highly recommend Star.

The leadership and management of this academy has gone downhill substantially in the last few years. You are now required to pay close to 100 dollars merely for the chance to audition for their "Star Team", and this does not guarantee that your child will make the team. They make mistakes due to miscommunication and do not apologize nor take any responsibility for doing so. All I've seen from this studio is hostility, disorganization and a lack of empathy towards the young dancers who are just trying to do what they love. Enroll your child somewhere else.
