The Canadian Dance Company is an incredible space for learning the love of dance and dicipline to those who equally have a passion for dance. The competitive level is for the hard working student with drive to be the best they can be surrounded with support from the Lupien family. They do not take what they do lightly so if you want to perform at the elite competitive level, this dance studio will nurture your passion.

One of the main reason I gave 5 star is CDC plays an honest role in its business. My son was at CDC and after he stopped learning dance due to personal reason there has some (I think is 60$) unused fee left and I agree leave this amount as credit just in case he decide came back . But he did not and I completely forgot this credit. 4 years later when I registered my daughter CDC checked my phone number said you have credit and can transfer to your daughter! Surprise ! Last year, pandemic started, it is very difficult time for a business like CDC since all programs closed . But when I called to withdraw from the program CDC returned my fee right away! What I knew is some other similar businesses they would not return the prepaid fee, so that leaves parents no choice they have to send their children to join summer camp etc to use the credit. Maybe this is not a big deal for some people since the payment still be used , but for me it is. This is about honest and trust. And definitely CDC has them all. My daughter will resume her jazz class in this Saturday, I believe she will enjoin it and will have a happy time there .

If there is something that makes me happy it's to see a smile on my kids faces. Everytime I pick them up from the dance class they are smiling from ear to ear. I look forward to class days not only to pick them up but to listen to their stories. It really is a great experience I'm actually thinking of joining myself ... I highly recommend this place for anyone that likes to dance any age ...

Fantastic. Nice people, great facilities, well organized and AMAZING instructors. Kids have mostly taken ballet and acro, but I suspect they put the same great quality into everything they do.

Our daughter started dancing recreationally at CDC 4 years ago and for the past year she has been in the full time Mini competitive company. Never did we think that in 4 short years she could become such a beautifully trained dancer! The recreational and competitive classes taught at CDC are top notch! Not only is CDC recognized as a top studio locally, but internationally as well! During our National competition in NYC 2012, it was re-affirmed to us just how well thought of our studio is by some of the top choreographers in the world. The level and skill of dance taught at CDC is phenomenal and the many awards the studio has won over the years confirm it. What a privilege it is to be a part of the CDC family!

The competitive dance program at CDC Oakville is a fantastic place to teach children what it means to compete at an international level. They learn about commitment and character! The recreational teachers are fantastic and provide an environment full of fun while learning the art at the same time. A great family run business!

I had my daughter signed up in ballet classes at CDC a couple of years back due to the popularity of this school. It was all fine until we planned a big trip out of the country and will unavoidably miss the recital. We gave them heads up immediately (5+ months ahead of time). They then forced us out of the classes and was't even really offering to rerun the fees back for the missing class in the first conversation. So apparently if you are not participating the recital you are not welcomed there! They returned my money back eventually, but the situation was handled very rudely and abruptly. I truly hope they do this to other people any more! We would never go back anymore.

We are in our second season with the Canadian Dance Company in two recreational programs. My daughter did 3 seasons with another dance studio in the area, and she was the one who decided to try a different one. The other studio was ok but we both -my daughter and I- are liking the Canadian Dance Company better. My daughter is finding the classes overall more enjoyable because she feels that the environment is more inclusive, the routines are well suited for the skill levels of the dancers, the studios are spacious, bright, and clean, and the teachers are really friendly. I am truly appreciating that the management and staff are organized, professional, and courteous, communication is efficient, and the costs of the programs and costumes are reasonable. We plan to stay with the Canadian Dance Company for many years to come.

I've been dancing here since I was 2 and CDC is like my second home. You're so accepted by everyone, and so welcome by everyone that it just becomes a big family that everyone's part of. I'm sorry if anyone has had bad experiences with CDC but everyone has off days. They are amazing and I could not ask for a better studio to help me learn and grow as a dancer and a person; No way would I ever leave! -Mori <3

My daughter joined the studio few years ago and was very happy at CDC. The teachers at the studio are absolutely wonderful, not only the Lupien family, but Ms. Emily, Ms. Brian and all of recreational teachers. They all teach with passion and that’s what we love about this studio. You want your BIG money to be spend on good quality teaching. This year, however, something happened to Mr. Lupien’s attitude/ego. We had our “parents meeting” and I noticed that every question/concern that parents had (and there were only few), Mr. Lupien answered – “this is the best studio there is and you get the quality and a discount if you compare it to the recreational or other studios out there”. What does that mean? The rest of us said nothing, and I am ashamed of that. So this is my voice – treat everyone equally, whether they are full-time, part-time or recreational dancers. We deserve respect from you as well. I agree that CDC is very good, but only because of the amazing, hardworking kids you have and the parents with deep pockets (it is Oakville/Mississauga after all), that pay for you to have that success. It seems you are forgetting that you have to respect the parents and other studios, and for sure I don’t want my daughter to hear from the director – we are the best. I teach my kids to stay away from bullies. It is probably too late for us for this season to find another studio and my daughter loves her friends so much. However, we will be gone very soon, since we are not appreciated. BTW, I’m not the only one that is looking, but you don't care about that.

CDC has been a great experience for my 4 year old daughter. She started at the studio when she was 2 years old and Mrs. Jen, her teacher for two years, was amazing! She truly inspired creativity, confidence and poise in all the dancers. Mrs. Jen is amazing with young children; she is kind, patient and very attentive towards their feelings and needs. If you are looking for a studio for your young daughter or son, CDC's All By Myself and Dancing Machines program is fantastic. My daughter still continues to dance in their Pico Program and she is loving every dance class.

The Canadian Dance Company is much more than just a place for my children to dance. It is an extension of our family, a place where my children are cared for and cared about. The studio is a gathering place where my children, my husband and myself have formed many lasting friendships. A place, in which my kids have built confidence, learned the ability to perform under pressure and now have the determination and discipline to pursue goals that are not always easily obtainable - these are the lessons that my children have learned from you. I have watched them grow not only as dancers, but into caring individuals. The Lupien family and supporting staff at CDC always seems to find a way to bring out the very best in each dancer. Each and every one of the teachers at CDC brings something unique to the studio, and together creates a wonderful team for our children to learn from. We thank you for all your hard work and dedication.

I signed up my daughter who was 3 last September. She was doing fine for the first 3 classes, then it went downhill. Something happened and i am not 100% sure what happened. She was screaming and crying, begging to not go back. My parents usually takes her to her classes, she is always happy, smiley and sociable. My parents told me that the teacher said something that hurt her feelings and since then, she was left aside. I took her out from the program immediately after i heard what happened. I contacted them to let them know what happened and all they can say " we will look into it" i doubt they looked into it. If you want your daughter to be ignored and get their feelings hurt, this is the place. I didn't pay for her to sit down in a corner all alone. Took my daughter a year to decide that she will go back to dancing again, but defiantly not here. I would give a zero star if i could.

CDC Sucks

TERRIBLE STUDIO!! highly recommend you DONT go there and you spend ur money elsewhere, students are taught well but the CORE team is incredibly rude (especially one) and has no business talking to clients. this studio wants money more than they want your children to learn dance. My child danced there for five years and found that this studio does NOT care about the recreational classes. they are also extremely unorganized, and have issues getting back to people and they DO NOT answer the phone. I strongly suggest you do not go to CDC and spend your time where people care about the growth of your child, not tear them down.

Upon our arrival to CDC dance studio in September 2011 we had no idea of the experiences that lay ahead. We were completely overwhelmed by the genuine love and caring that went into every dance class, every competition and every event that we attended. This is truely a dance family that every dancer and parent can feel a part of. We could not as parents get over the incredible successes our daughter had in her first year of attending this studio, we saw changes not only in her dancing techniques but her ability to set goals and reach them throughout the course of the year. After a full year of competitions, recitals and outstanding awards presented to the studio along the way, we felt truly privileged to have gone along on this ride with the Canadian Dance Company, and we look forward to another amazing year ahead. Kind Regards, Tracy Bell / Mike Warby

This place is very expensive, All they care about is money, i hope to never be associated with this place ever again. Costumes are so cheaply made for an expensive price. Anywhere else is probably better than this place. they will lose their four precious stars soon. Not only that, people are often favorited over others for the most stupid reasons in classes. people that try hard and still struggle get the bad end of the stick and get put back instead of getting the help that is needed to learn certain dance moves that people may have trouble with. Those people get sent to the back of the routine and suffer and then waste time trying to get a good spot. I encourage better front desk service and management. (STOP TREATING PEOPLE UN-EQUALLY) then maybe you wont have such awful reviews, dropouts, and win more competitions. It's called being smart and strategic, two of the most valued skills this place does not seem to have anymore. I encourage more professional service. If people don't wanna do that, then close down permanently and stop wasting everyone's time and money.

CDC is very welcoming and amazing place to be. The staff is dedicated to each and every dancer. There is a very bright future for the next generation of dancers. They foster young Canadian talent. Dawn and Alain Lupien are always smiling when you walk in the door.

My 3-year-old daughter attends the Preschool Adventures class on Tuesday mornings and we couldn’t be more pleased! Apart from being a dance class, it’s a preschool experience where they play, read, sing, dance and engage in arts and crafts. My daughter’s teachers Miss Laurel and Miss Jen are lovely - very warm and friendly! Thanks for making this such a wonderful experience, would highly recommend to other parents!

Our daughter has only been dancing at CDC for 2 seasons, however I cannot say enough good things about how our experience has been thus far. Even through the thick of the pandemic we’ve always felt safe. Their communication is fantastic & they are always willing to help! Our son and daughter participated in summer camp this past summer and had so much fun. They brought home crafts everyday & put on a zoom performance at the end of the week. It made this mama very proud! Miss. Laurel is an angel. She is so sweet, approachable & enthusiastic about what she does. You can tell she loves guiding these little dancers & helping them shine:) I highly recommend CDC to any parent considering enrolling their boy/girl to dance. You won’t be disappointed!

CDC has been an excellent experience for my children. The instructors treat my kids with such personal care and the director always takes the time to discuss scheduling with me, without any hassle. A true family run business, and it shows. Could not recommend more!
