Rave reviews from my son, who completed the summer 2020 intensive workshops and now takes two dance disciplines during the Fall. Grateful for the meticulous and strict health and safety protocols at the studio so he has been able to continue pursuIng the sport/art he loves with modifications. We appreciate the attention the artistic director and all the teacher (who are active practitioners) pay to the growth of individual athletes.

I can't even begin to describe what a wonderful experience my girls have enjoyed (and are still enjoying!) as students of Poise. While Ms Linda and her instructors keep the classes very fun and entertaining, the students walk out of each session with a solid dance foundation. This is not a kinderdance program where the kids simply have fun and move with music. They have LOTS of fun, but they also are learning specific technique, discipline, and the rewards that come from mastering a skill. A highlight is definitely the end of the year production: uniting all the different levels, styles, and ages is an unforgettable experience for both the participants and the audience. Can't recommend Poise Dance enough!

My children have been attending Poise for the past few years, and they have learned and advanced so much during this relatively short time. The class sizes are not large, and this allows Linda and her teachers to attend to the healthy development and progress of each child. I've even observed Linda personally checking the fit of each student's ballet shoes! In addition to the excellent teaching, I and all the moms that I have spoken to, truly appreciate the creativity of both the competitive and the end of the year performances. They are amazing, creative, and developmentally appropriate (NO cringing with skimpy costumes, or adult musical choices, that make you go 'huh???'). We feel extremely lucky to have stumbled on this gem of a dance studio. I just noticed about a previous reviewer having difficulty finding the studio, to clarify, Poise Dance Academy has space within CFCC at 9 Banigan Drive (I think it states this on the Poise website). You just go through the door and the studio is inside.

BALANCE, that is the word that comes to mind at Poise Dance Academy, they are serious and professional but at the same time are wonderful and caring with the dancers, totally trustworthy and very experienced in all dance, they are a family run business and you can feel the connection they have and they treat their dancers just the same. Our daughter Diya attended hip hop classes for two terms and absolutely loved it. The instructors were very engaging, involved and encouraging. She was hesitant about dance at first but the instructors made her comfortable and she grew to enjoy it immensely. The premises are also bright and professionally managed. Highly recommended.

Our children have participated in programs at Poise for a few years and we've watched them grow as individuals and develop as dancers, under the instruction of Ms. Linda and her teachers. My daughter was at the National Ballet for many years, however, left as a result of a cold and unfriendly environment. Believing that she had lost her love for dance, she decided to take acro at Poise, to try something new. The dance environment at Poise was so positive and welcoming, after trying acro, my daughter realized that she had missed ballet and has started dancing ballet again at Poise. We are so happy we chose Poise Dance studio for our daughter’s dance classes! We are so impressed with the teachers and their professionalism, and their warmth and ability to engage with the kids in the class. They manage health and safety procedures very well and are super friendly. The studio is also beautiful, bright, airy, and easy to get to. The team is very welcoming, and Ms. Linda, Ms. Stella, and Ms. Ita (and all other staff) make all parents feel welcome and included in their kids’ dance journey. What can I say about the staff and faculty at Poise? Outstanding! Amazing! Professional! Skilled! The list goes on an on. I feel so happy to have my daughters at this studio. We were stuck without a dance school since our last one closed due to Covid. We heard about their dance camp, tried it out, and LOVED IT!!! We continue to be impressed with how involved and engaged Miss Linda is. Her passion for the success of the school and the students is evident in her interactions with parents and the dancers themselves. Miss Ita’s friendly face is such a warm welcome, and warm departure. Can’t wait to see the end of year production! All the parents say it is a real showstopper! Can’t wait for more years of dance with this amazing studio

We registered our daughter online, and were instructed to drop off a cheque at the location of the business. We searched and could not find it! When we called for assistance, we did not get a response for several days. By this time, we had had our time wasted and still had not had the actual location confirmed. There is no signage and the given address is another company. None of the other parents dropping off their children at other places in the vicinity, on the day we tried to pay, knew what company we were referring to, and had never heard of the place. It was all so strange! The company that we were told to purchase very specific clothing was very far from the given address of the dance studio, although we were told it was close by. There were many red flags, and we backed out of the registration. Please be wary of sharing your credit card details on the site. I'm not convinced that this business is legitimate. If you do decide to go with this business, get the location upfront so you don't feel frustrated when taking your child there. There are many other more accommodating resources for your children's activities to choose from. The whole experience felt off, and I wasn't prepared for those reasons to leave my child in their care.

My 6 yo daughter just did 4 weeks of summer camp at Poise and has had an absolute blast. The quality of teaching is high and the teachers are detail oriented and conscientious. I have seen a tremendous amount of growth and development in my daughter during this very short period of time. We will be continuing classes into the year and we can't wait to see how much more she grows. Also - the studio is immaculate. Linda and her team are stringent about social distancing, disinfecting and mask wearing for all and we appreciate this.
