The atmosphere is friendly, the teachers have a dazzling technique (literally, would need sunglasses so strong they are) and an ability / patience to dissect and teach the movements more than admirable. I have met great people (students as instructors) and my fitness is getting better and better. In short, I liked the pole dance before but this studio added a sentimental value to this activity. Go ahead, you will be amazed by everything you learn! L'ambiance est conviviale, les profs ont une technique éblouissante (littéralement, faudrait des lunettes de soleil tellement elles sont fortes) et une capacité/patience pour décortiquer & enseigner les mouvements plus qu'admirable. J'ai rencontré des personnes super (élèves comme instructeurs) et ma forme physique s'améliore de plus en plus. Bref, j'aimais le pole dance avant mais ce studio a ajouté une valeur sentimentale à cette activité. Allez-y, vous n'en reviendrez pas de tout ce que vous y apprendrez!

Probably one of the best pole dance studios in Montreal. Now, I haven't gone to other studios, but Milan Pole Dance has a wonderful facility with beautiful lighting and a very clean/pretty training space. I started pole dancing last July and since then I became hooked! All of the instructors are super friendly and can definitely help you out (remember to ask!) Your fellow "polers" that you meet there are also very friendly and it feels like a supportive environment all around. It might be intimidating at first, but as you gain your muscles and skills it'll be so fun. You'll certainly get a workout trying out pole-as well as bruises!-but it's all worth it in the end when you feel that sense of accomplishment for completing a move :) If you're looking for a new and fun way of working out I would absolutely recommend pole dancing, and as for the place? Without a doubt, it would have to be here!!

I started pole dancing at MPDS last year, after trying few other studios in Montreal, and in my opinion it is the best one. It is very clean, well maintained and with friendly staff. It offers a wide range of classes from pole fitness classes of any level to physical conditioning and flexibility classes. I love this studio because of the friendly environment but also because of the variety of teachers and teaching styles it offers. This makes it the perfect place to always learn something new and to have fun!

Its in a beautiful area in Montreal so just going over there is dreamy :). The installations are elegant and simple, and there is plenty of room for learning at ALL levels, I really improved my musicality here and got to learn so many tricks faster than I imagined. MPDS is the best Pole Dance Studio in Montreal! They are known across the world as they are part of a well established franchise that started in Milan. The Montreal Studio is the only one in Canada and it is very well located, in the heart of the Old Port. Everything about the studio is beautiful and most importantly they have amazing instructors! I signed up for the trial 6 months ago and after the very first class I knew it was the place to be. I had a trial at another studio and it simply did not compare. Milan offers various levels of pole classes and the team of instructors follow your progress from week to week. They also have conditioning, stretching and dance classes to complement your pole practice. They also sell BadKitty polewear and have everything you need to be successful on the pole. Great community and vibe. I strongly recommend!

Milan Pole Dance Studio could not have been a better choice for me. The location is modern, trendy and has great facilities. There's a large variation in class types, all of which are very fun and beneficial in their own way. The instructors are exceptional in both their pole abilities as well as teaching methods. What does pole dancing mean to me? A new shot at life. Let me explain. (CW/TW: The following contains topics related to suicide, mental health and such.) I've been battling with suicidal thoughts and multiple mental illnesses for years. Prior discovering pole, I didn't see any value in life. Every night, I'd cry myself to sleep hoping that I could end my suffering. I was ready to give up. However, my friend made me join a pole class with him. To my surprise, for the first time in a very long time, I felt happy. All the dark thoughts disappeared, and I was mesmerized by my instructor's skills. I fell in love with how pretty and captivating she made all the moves look. After that one class, I told to myself that I wanted to become like my instructor. In a way, that class saved my life. I started taking better care of myself and picking up healthier lifestyle habits in order to be able to become as good as my pole instructors. I began coming here a year and a half ago, this review is long overdue. The staff, teachers and reception alike are warm and kind and you will feel this the minute you walk in. The teachers are well trained, understanding, engaging, attentive, passionate, and creative, making every class a delight and a challenge. The studio that welcomes in natural light from its huge windows is beautiful to say the least, with well spread out poles but just close enough to share a glance and a laugh with your neighbour when the teacher demonstrates a near impossible looking move - hint hint, it is possible! The teachers always begin with a warm up and end with a cool down, which is incredibly helpful and needed. Pole dancing itself has drastically changed my life in too many ways to say. Quite generally, my strength and body composition is unrecognizable from last year and my weeks are now filled with anticipation for my next class. Words do not do this studio justice and it only takes a try going to understand what I mean. Thank you Milan Pole Dance studio for entering my life!

I’m so happy I found this studio! A friend and I decided on the intro offer and we had a blast through it all. Instructors (shout out to Nadia!) are all amazing, friendly and supportive and badasses on their own, and the reception staff is always so helpful and accommodating to any changes or questions. I’ve emailed them a ton of concerns and they’ve always answered helpfully! I was able to develop my skills a lot quicker here than at a previous studio and was able to really find the confidence I need to continue practicing. There are classes for everyone from exotic to contemporary pole and all levels so it’s pretty hard to get bored here. All in all a fantastic experience and am looking forward to book more classes in the future.

It took me a long time to find the perfect pole fitness studio in Montreal. After having gone to a few in different areas I can UNDOUBTEDLY say that Milan Pole Dance Studio is the best one. The teachers are warm, welcoming, supportive, encouraging and by far the most fun. They have so much talent and their love for this sport radiates in their teachings! The girls that attend the studio are all very nice. The studio atmosphere is very fun and energetic. the teachers are very open to questions and are attentive to every students needs. They offer different workshops and have classes for EVERY level. Everything is made so easy for you at the studio. The sign in application helps you plan ahead and secure a spot. The teachers and students are always so encouraging. When you are able to perfect a move it feels as though the whole studio celebrates with you. It is these small details that make the experience so much better. Furthermore the cleanliness of this studio is pristine. It is by far my FAVORITE workout of the week. I recommend MPDS over ANY studio in Montreal. Trust me you once you've tried it once you wont have to look any further.

(Translated) I have long been reluctant to try this school because the courses are a little more expensive than elsewhere. I finally bought a course card to try, and I had a pretty good experience. The staff are friendly and the teachers are excellent, there is no doubt about it. They explain the movements well and always arrive well prepared for lessons. The courses are also well structured, with a warm-up and a cool down. However, despite my pleasant experience, I decided not to buy a course, and I only give 3 stars for the following reasons: 1- The room is clean, but small. The poles are very (almost too) close to each other. 2- Neither the diameter, the material, nor the height of the poles correspond to the competition standards. 3- There are 15 poles in the studio, so a maximum of 15 students per course, instead of 10 as in other schools. It gives more people the opportunity to register, but it also means that there is a greater teacher / student ratio. So we pay more for less individual attention. It also contributes to the fact that the poles are too close together. (Original) J'ai longtemps été réticente à l'idée d'essayer cette école parce que les cours sont un peu plus chers qu'ailleurs. J'ai finalement acheté une carte de cours pour essayer, et j'ai eu une assez belle expérience. Le personnel est sympathique et les profs sont excellentes, il n'y a aucun doute là-dessus. Elles expliquent bien les mouvements et arrivent toujours bien préparées aux cours. Les cours sont aussi bien structurés, avec un échauffement et un cool down. Toutefois, malgré mon expérience agréable, j'ai décidé de ne pas racheter de cours, et je donne seulement 3 étoiles pour les raisons suivantes: 1- Le local est propre, mais petit. Les poles sont très (presque trop) rapprochés les uns des autres. 2- Ni le diamètre, ni le matériel, ni la hauteur des poles ne correspondent aux standards de compétition. 3- Il y a 15 poles dans le studio, donc un maximum de 15 élèves par cours, au lieu de 10 comme dans les autres écoles. Ça donne l'occasion à plus de personnes de s'inscrire, mais ça veut aussi dire qu'il y a un plus grand ratio prof/élève. Donc on paie plus cher pour moins d'attention individuelle. Ça contribue aussi au fait que les poles sont trop rapprochées.

I started pole a little over a year ago, and as I was an inactive person, I was happy to have found a physical activity that I would enjoy doing for a long time. The classes motivated me to work more on my flexibility and my strength, as well as to be more active in my everyday life. I was very self-conscious of my body when I started but over time, I began to discover and appreciate what my body was capable of doing through pole dance. 10/10 would recommend if you are interested in trying pole dance. There is no such thing as not being fit enough or having the right body for pole.

You could come dance every friday night. It is always fun, wonderfull, full of people, energy, love and dancing. The studios are also very beautifull. This place feel like home and like a family for everybody. The only thing you need to know is that in this place, people smile big time, they laught, they have fun and they dance. Best studio in the Montreal area! Amazing and friendly staff. The instructors are devoted, dynamic, experienced and each of them has their little something about them that make you want to come back! Also, the studios are amazingly decorated (Golden poles, white brick and pink LED lights for the win) and kept impeccably clean. Everything is made easy with MPDS.. (in-app reservation, MindBody online platform to purchase class packages and gear) ..except maybe some spins and moves we are taught that give us the right amount of challenge that makes us crave for more every week! I had an amazing time at Milan Pole dancing as part of a surprise on my bachelorette! The location in old Montreal was super convenient and the instructor was so amazing! All the girls had such an amazing time we're still laughing about it! I would highly recommend it to anyone as a great exercise class or as something super fun to do with your friends! I also forgot something at the venue and they were BEYOND accommodating! I'm seriously impressed with how well run and amazing the studio is! I sought out Milan Pole Dance Studio as a way to challenge myself, get a workout and be creative. It certainly has not disappointed! The studio, which is located in scenic Old Montreal, offers a variety of classes for all levels. I love being able to practice contemporary pole one day, try out some new pole tricks another, and then really push my limits of flexibility in the flexy class. The awesome instructors are sensitive to each students’ abilities, but don’t expect to be babied! Classes are a perfect post-workday activity; I always leave the studio in a better mood than I walked in with. It’s rare to join a studio where all the instructors and staff are not only extremely professional and talented, but also really try get to know everyone who walks through the door. It’s clear the Milan Pole Dance team is interested in building a solid community of supportive people. I definitely recommend Milan Pole Dance studio.
