A great place to learn to dance or improve your technique. Instructors compete internationally and are very knowledgeable. The group classes are a good combination of learning routines for regular performances and technique. There's a wide variety of different dances to learn. The regular performances are a good method for keeping focused on learning. The dancing community around the studio is very friendly.

Let me tell you why I love my Waterloo Dance family, our studio, my dance teachers Alexandra & Vladyslav, and my fellow student dancers (kids, adults and couples). I have always loved music and dancing as a kid but never took-the-plunge until December 2016. I’ve always focused on work and everything else but my own passions until I made a decision and booked a dance lesson. As an adult beginner, I felt quite intimated coming to a ballroom dance studio which was immediately eased by Alexandra, owner and dance teacher. Over the phone, you can sense her calmness, warmth and sincerity. Upon arrival to the studio she greeted me with hospitality and kindness. Alex recognized that I was nervous and shy, which still occurs during performances, but she is passionate about her students. To this date, she continues to care, reassure and encourage! (I just completed my 1st ballroom dance Bronze-level competition a week ago with dance teacher Vlad as my partner!) Not only was I welcomed by Alex but also by my fellow beginner & intermediate level dancers as well. They, too, were equally as welcoming! In fact, through the years, I developed friendships which have grown deeper and continue to develop new friendships! My life has truly flourished from these cherished relationships... they’ve really become my family! In terms of dance lessons, I have taken couples group and individual private classes from Latin to Standard ballroom such as rumba, chachacha, samba, jive, tango, waltz, Viennese waltz, quickstep, foxtrot, bolero... I also love our Latin socials with salsa, bachata and merengue. Whatever your goal, I guarantee that you will enjoy and feel supported! Waterloo Dance is the best ballroom dance school in Kitchener Waterloo because dance teachers Alexandra and Vladyslav are committed to your well-being, growth and to inspiring confidence in you. Ultimately, Alex and Vlad are amongst the kindest, most talented, humble and fun people you will ever meet!!
