My daughter has been with Step with Style for 5 years now and loves it. The staff and the student as fantastic. If your looking for a great Studio to teach your child how to Dance, this is the place to visit. They make you feel like part of their family.

Seems more geared towards competitive than just recreational. The shows are expensive, you need to pay for your kids being in the show.

I have to be honest, the dancers are amazing and most of the staff. However, unless you are a favourite and/or willing to spend huge amounts of money...you are not treated as well and your dancer is not given the same opportunities. It was bittersweet to leave but the best thing for us. There are many very good studios in Durham that give quality instruction and treat you better than just a paycheck.

We absolutely love Step with Style. My daughter started in the recreational program at age 2 and is now going into her 4th year of competitive. Each and every teacher’s instruction is quality and their passion and commitment to each child’s growth is amazing. We've had two of our daughters dancing at Step With Style for the past three years and are heading into our fourth. During that time they have taken huge leaps forward in dancing technique and self confidence. They were pretty good dancers when they started at Step but now have the confidence to go beyond what they had thought their limits were. The studio directors, Mandy and Sasha, are both incredibly talented and work to bring out the best in the girls. They have the ability to see not only what a dancer is capable of, but what they can achieve with proper training and mentoring. All of the staff at Step are equally talented and work tirelessly with their students. So far, we've had a blast working with them and the other parents at Step With Style and look forward to many more years of the same. I would highly recommend this studio to anyone starting with dance or to accomplished dancers wishing to refine their technique.

We love it here for recreational dance and competitive! This is our 2nd season with our 11 year old daughter in rec....our son is 7 and did a rec class last year and joined comp this year. The teachers are all fabulous....they have a great balance of supporting and encouraging the kids while also pushing them to improve and work hard. The kids loved being a part of their recital last year. The parents are all friendly....it really has a feel of one big family. Even being new to comp everyone is so willing to answer questions and help parents navigate all that is new. We couldn't be happier with our experiences and our kids both love their dance studio and all their classs! Thanks SWS!

Step With Style is a horrible studio for Recreational dancers. The studio floor is always dirt and the teachers just don't really care about the student themselves. I danced there and they told me that I was to fat to dance! If you want your child to have self confidence don't bring them to Step With Style!!!

Hello families looking for dance training for your little ones! I can tell you I have seen MANY dance studios year end shows in the area and Step with Style is hands down the BEST for instruction in the area. From their little tots all the way to their fulltime competitive students they are top notch! Very professional, organized and friendly office staff and the students have excellent technique. My son attends and absolutely loves it! The instructors are caring and are ALL professionals at what they do. If you are looking for a place you have found the best. I would recommend this studio to anyone at any age!

6 years ago we decided to make the switch to a new studio. It was the best decision we ever made for our daughter. When she first started at SWS she was a shy timid young girl. With the compassion and dedication the faculty at the studio nurtured her into the confident, outgoing young lady she is today. Step with Style is a fantastic studio. Dancing in the Competitive program, my daughter feels at home - she has grown so much not only in her technical abilities, but in her confidence and love for dance. My son started the rec program this year and can't wait each week for dance night. The teachers in the comp and rec program are excellent both in their skills but also in how they treat the kids.

As a dance teacher I was very critical at where I would place my daughter. After having taught at sws for 2 years I knew this was the place my child would blossom. Fast forward 3 years and she just won her first Overall at competition. That in itself is a true testament to her teachers and the quality training she receives. And to think before that she had never stepped foot in a dance class before. As a Recreational and Competitive teacher I can guarantee that each student is treated with love and respect always. The director of this studio has no personable skills with children, it's very sad. She diminishes any confidence your son or daughter may have when entering the studio. Critiquing dancing is one thing but critiquing the person themselves is another especially with children, teenagers and young adults. Would never recommend to anyone

Having looked into many other studios in the area we choose to come to Step With Style four years ago after my daughter attended their summer open classes. Her dancing skills improved in leaps and bounds in a matter of no time. Each competitive season I am amazed at the choreography and technique our children are performing. I have seen my daughter develop not only as a dancer but as a person, the values that have been instilled in her are priceless. We are growing hardworking, responsible, independent, AMAZING dancers.
