Its not just a dance studio. Spotlight Dance is a family. From each and every kid from age 2-20 to each individual dance coach, everyone is there for one another. That builds such a strong foundation when learning dance. If you dance at a place that is cold that is what you will portray...but dance at a place that is filled with love, heart, determination and togetherness and the sky is the limit on stage! We heard about SDP through Facebook and a close family member, and chose the “Mommy and Me” classes for our 2 year old daughter to promote her interest in music and dance. We loved our experience with Miss Amanda and her dance studio. The class sizes were small for a personal experience with lots of games and activities (such as balance games, freeze dance, animal-like movements, etc.). It was a great way for her to learn the foundations of dance, which she still does at home (walking on toes holding a beach ball). We plan on signing up for more classes in the future!

Each instructor brings a different level of expertise to body positioning, technique and discipline. Almost all styles are offered at both rec and comp levels. SDP encompasses the art of movement and plays to each dancers individual strengths. You can see confidence grow and personalities emerge. To have such accomplished dancers as role models is comforting. Students love being in the studio..and so do the parents.
