We can't recommend Innovative Rhythm highly enough! My daughter has been dancing at IR Dance since she was 3 - she's 13 now and takes every class offered at her level. The teachers are amazing - they each bring their passion for dance and connect to the students in meaningful ways. This has been more apparent than ever during COVID-19, when the studio has stayed ahead of public health social distancing requirements, while continuing to engage dancers with both virtual classes and positive, curated online connections for the older girls on Instagram to maintain the relationships they treasure and missed these last few months. I've heard parents at other studios complain about administration - IR Dance makes scheduling and keeping up with commitments easy (whether your dancer is in one class a week or 10). Best of all, they offer high calibre dance at all different levels, while focusing not only on developing dancers but also on developing a community that values teamwork, trust and empathy - and fosters this in the young dancers. It really feels like a family, with older and younger dancers (mostly girls, but some boys ... the boys hip hop, which our son used to do, is always a hit!) supporting and lifting each other up every step of the way. Our family loves IR Dance!

My daughter has been dancing at Innovative Rhythm since she was 4 years old and is now turning 11 in 3 months! This dance studio has been an incredible experience for her and she has grown up with a love of dance as a result. Innovative Rhythm Dance Studios not only teaches kids a love of dance but encourages confidence, kindness, respect for others, and leadership. The staff at Innovative Rhythm will have your child's best interest at heart and we have incredible respect for the way they teach dance and communicate with our child. My daughter started with less than one hour a week and now dances here six hours a week and would be there for six hours more if we would let her! In addition to their awesome dance classes, my daughter has attended summer dance camp here and it is always the highlight of her summer! You won't find a more happy and family friendly dance studio in the entire GTA....we highly recommend!

My 5-yr-old just started her first ballet/tap classes at Innovative Rhythm and I could not be more happy with the choice to enroll her there. I wanted a dance school that was professional (RDA certified teachers, proper attire required, proper curriculum, end of year recital) but still recreational and fun - I want my kid to learn some technique and steps, but not to get anorexia by the time she's 8 because she's trying to make some ridiculous pointe class cutoff. IR seems to be perfect: Super-professional, RDA-certified teachers, proper dance-school rules for attendance and attire, but overall a really fun, friendly environment. It's also bigger than I realized - 4 good-sized studios and all kinds of assistant teachers. Highly recommended.

An amazing dance studio!!! The environment is very welcoming and all the teachers and staff are friendly and wonderful. It is a family oriented dance studio with a halloween and pajama party and year end bbq. Students have the great opportunity to be a part of the leadership team and assist in dance classes. The dance company program provide students with an amazing opportunity to advance their technical skills, work together as a team participate in dance comps, have fun and make great friends. Highly highly recommended!!!!!!

I haven't been here in a year due to the pandemic but looking to enrol again. We love this place, the staff, the instructors - honestly, a good vibe going there. The student instructors are also awesome at what they do and are good role models. My younger one would be with us while we wait for her sister to finish and she adored Toni and she would let her "shadow" her, which was great because little kids get impatient waiting around. She still remembers Toni =) We moved but I still prefer to send my kids to this dance school as we like the programs as well. I hope this season, a pageant can happen.

Our two daughters have danced with Innovative Rhythm for over 10 years. They started at a recreational level and moved into the competitive program. I have always maintained that dance is an excellent activity for girls giving them body awareness, confidence, musicality and creative expression. IRDS provides excellent instruction and provides ample opportunities to explore and advance a child’s dance discipline. They have extensive programs and provide the freedom for girls and boys to follow their curiosity and passion. But more importantly they foster a tremendous community of support. The friendships our daughters have developed are life long. And more importantly the management team are extremely sensitive to and aware of the many challenges girls encounter as they go through their teens. We had a serious health episode happen one evening at dance related to an emerging condition with our one child. Steph was extremely professional and communicative with us and followed up both that evening at the hospital in person and throughout the months following. It is in these critical times that you want to be certain your child is in good hands. I highly recommend this studio for parents who want a “whole-child” approach to dance and personal development. We will be fans forever and know that the intangible lessons learned here will carry our girls forward through life.

Very friendly staff, Coming here for the first time, Spencer was awesome and attentive with our needs for our 5yo. Can’t wait for the program to begin.
