Kathy Lang's SEDA dance is the best studio I have ever danced with! She offers a wide range of styles from contemporary to ballet for beginner up to advanced level dancers. Kathy teaches with enthusiasm and humour and fosters a love of of dance in each student, while using her considerable expertise to guide students in proper technique and injury prevention. SEDA is a safe space for dancers of all levels, ages, and backgrounds - the community is so welcoming and fun! If you are a dancer or have ever wanted to try dancing, I cannot recommend Kathy's classes enough!

I love her movement and variety of classes offered as they have a wide range of movement whilst being accessible to all ages and ranges. Kathy and Kayla are both excellent teachers! Their beginner contemporary classes are challenging but a lot of fun. The community at Seda is very welcoming and non-judgmental. The dance space itself is also beautiful, especially at night when it’s illuminated with fairy lights. I’m very happy to have found Seda!

I registered for my first dance class in September. I was looking for something where I could be active and also have fun. I am so glad I found Kayla’s Groove class on Thursdays after work. It’s set up to include beginners and more experienced dancers can groove out too. Kayla is a talented instructor, who makes everyone feel welcome and strikes a balance to meet everyone’s needs in the class. I am also impressed with Seda Dance School - Kathy Lang is organized, energetic and responsive. The studio is great - walkable from Jubilee, Rockland, Fernwood and Oak Bay. Close to bus stops and lots of parking for folks further away. It was fortuitous that I found Seda Dance when I did and im so glad I did.

Seda dance is an amazing place and wonderful space filled with great people and wonderful staff. Classes are designed to help individuals grow as artists and no one is left behind; teachers are responsible and attentive to the needs of students plus there are a lot of workshops available at different times in the year to further dance training and learn from artists in the community ☺️

The first time I danced with Kathy was about three years ago and I fell in love with her classes right off the start! Kathy is such an excellent teacher. As a beginner contemporary dancer, I am constantly astounded by Kathy's detailed attention, dedication and enthusiasm to guide her students to tap into their fullest potential, no matter what their level of training is. Kathy's studio at Seda Dance is also the perfect place to dance in - such a bright and open space. I think anyone who comes to know Kathy will quickly come to appreciate her passion to dance, her humour and her love to teach. I feel incredibly lucky to be one of her students!
