Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet is one of the best studios I have ever danced with! Mr. Beales' focus on correct technique and learning the Vaganova method has really helped my progression as a dancer. The adult classes are friendly and welcoming; Mr. Beales challenges his students to progress in their technique regardless of level, without taking the fun out of dance and with care to injury prevention. I would recommend Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet to any dancer, beginner to advanced!

I love that I can drop in on an adult class and be welcomed no matter what the level. I enjoy the high level of ballet technique taught and specific comments received to help me improve my dancing. We have attended this dance school for half a year now. I can not say enough good things about the instructors. My daughter is very shy and often doesn't participate in lessons. She has not had any trouble here because of their structure and empathy. I also love the dedication of the administration. Running a small business is hard work! And they do it with grace. Such a great school! My experience is from the adults’ classes that I can highly recommend to anyone interested in learning ballet properly. I don’t think I would have learned so much anywhere else that I did in Maple Leaf School of Russian Ballet. The teaching is thorough and I appreciate how attention is paid to the details in every move and students are encouraged to improve themselves all the time by challenging them. And at the same time the classes are so much fun! And in addition to all this, the atmosphere in the school is very warm and welcoming. I wish I could have stayed in Victoria and continued learning ballet in this school. And the classes are held in an old church which gives the school a special feeling. Loved the place!

The instructors are very concerned about making sure you learn dance safely, not just showy. Overall Maple Leaf is a great place to learn to dance, in a beautiful, historic facility.
