It went so well just because the teacher, Ms. Sasha did make my daughter feel comfortable, engaged and motivated along with other students. Without any second thought, I happily registered for the full year. I heartily recommend Summit School of Dance and Music :)

Great place for starting dance. My kids love it. The teachers do a great job of helping kids advance. I have never seen my kids more excited to attend something then their classes at Summit. A great learning environment!

FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE !! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! Our entire family found this Studio to be GREAT !! The Instructors AND the Owner were all wonderful !! We will continue to use this Studio and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and friendly environment for their kids.....Ours look forward to every class with excitement AND they are learning very well from the amazing, highly-skilled Instructors !! We enrolled our 3 year old daughter into the Preschool dance classes with Ms. Ali in the Fall of 2012. This was her 1st year of dancing, and we could not be more proud of how far she has come. Our daughter absolutely adores Ms. Ali, and she has grown so much in her 1st year. She sometimes has great difficulty in communicating verbally with others, but since starting at Summit she has been able to communicate more and more every day with Ms. Ali's guidance. Ms.Ali is incredibly patient, understanding, dedicated, and kind...and we are beyond impressed with how she interacts with the children. She is a teacher, a listener, and most of all a friend to these children. The staff are amazing as well..very organized, and they treat the parents with incredible kindness. We are honored to have the chance to enroll our daughter for a 2nd year at Summit...and she cannot wait to see her favourite teacher in the world again!

Amazing studio and inspiring staff, Linzi is one of the most amazing teachers I have ever been taught by. She is the most kind and caring human and will go above and beyond for any of her students. The teachers here make this place like a second home and I love all the dance family. Highly recommend!!!

I don't even know where to start with this dance studio, my daughter has been going there since she was 6 and she loves it so much, the teachers are amazing and every year I see how much they have taught her. I was so sad reading that they were having to close and move locations. I said as long as all the staff that is there will be moving along I will follow and I get emotional writing this, but we would not go to any other company even if they were moving across the city I would still take my daughter there. Ms Lyndsay is the best teacher I have ever she loves those kids like her own and Chloe adores her so much . Ms Julie is also another reason why we are staying.

These are the best qualified dancers in all of Alberta. You can tell the owners really put their hearts and souls into this school-it really shows. I'm considering having more children just so that they can partake in this wonderful school!

I'm not sure why the other reviews are giving negative feedback. This dance studio was pure class. All the way from the instructors down to the studio itself. My daughter LOVES going to class here. She looks forward to it every time. The best part is that the instructor gets just as much joy out of watching my child learn and have fun as I do. Do recommend :)

I’ve been dancing here for two years now and the teachers are amazing. I was scared to go on stage for my competition and thanks to help from Miss Lindsay and Miss Julie by the last competition I wasn’t nervous. Miss Lindsay has helped me improve so much and thanks to her I am more confident in my abilities. As a student teacher learning from the younger students has allowed me to improve my own dancing and given me the opportunity to build all the skills I need to continue teaching in the future.

My daughter has been at Summit for 4 years now and we would not consider going anywhere else in town! She loves the classes, instructors, music, costumes and the people she gets to dance with. I love all of those things, but the thing that I love the most is how much her love of dance is growing because of the atmosphere that the staff creates. They offer training with discipline combined with a LOT of fun. I completely recommend Summit to anyone who has a child that wants to dance at a wonderful, loving and talented studio. If you don't believe the words, all you have to do is attend one recital... that will make a believer out of you!!!

I would love to share my thoughts on Summit School of Dance and Music! I had started to look for a studio that could suit my daughters wants and needs. Summit offered a free trial class to see if it would be a good fit for us and well it was! My daughter absolutely loved the class and the teacher was so kind and welcoming. Now she counts down the days each week to when she is able to go. I am so grateful for the opportunity to try a trial class and I definitely recommend Summit to other families!

Horrible experience with music and voice lessons. Waste of time and money. Once registered you will be stuck with this school for 6 months and it doesn't matter if you are happy with their service or not. Lessons are not structured and the instructors are not experienced at all. Won't recommend this place to anyone!

Okay, I have to say...I was so impressed with your studio. Ali (don’t know if her name is spelt right) is such a gem. You’re lucky to have such a wonderful lady up front. Not to mention, Jo-Dane yelled out in the car on the way home that she, “LOVED HER JAZZ CLASS!” She has never done that with anything before. I love the screens so you can watch, and wow...the instructor got right into an awesome routine. The free dance near the end of class is brilliant. Anyways... We’re all happy over here.

Those other one star reviews have it right. I suspect the other reviews are buddies with owner? or planted? Because, this owner either doesn't care if the kids get quality instruction, or isn't willing to pay for quality and experience in instructors. Plus, the second you hit that button and register--that's it the money's gone--no refunds whatsoever, even if your child never attends, or you change your mind and try to cancel the registration right away. Yes the owner appears greedy. I am not sure if she cares if she gets repeat customers or is in and out for the cash grab. Calgary has such a large population of parents who are perhaps too rushed and busy to pay really close attention to what their kids' are really getting out of a program, or, if the kids are parked somewhere for an hour. We've had our kids in other dance and other drama improv programs ie. Pumphouse and Young People's Theater and found them to be way better.

Not your standard review, but I feel it's important to show all sides of a business. I was hired as contractor by Summit to install their sign and graphics for a remodel of their studio space. Christie and Julie were great to work with and created a nice environment to work in. During a renovation, there's a lot going on, I do a lot of work in environments like this. I would highly recommend Summit to any family looking for a great local dance/music studio. They offer a trial class so your child can get the chance to see if they like it before committing. They are also very accommodating of students various needs and are willing to work with families so their children can successfully participate. I’m happy I chose this studio for my daughter and most importantly she’s excited to go!

My daughter will be going into her 3rd year of dance come this September. We started out with the "Parent and Tot" classes which my then 2 year old daughter absolutely loved. Summit has fun and creative ways of teaching technique to a group of toddlers, I commend you on your patience :) . We're now going into her 2nd year of "Preschool Dance" which is a combo of tap and ballet. The teachers are all very supportive and family oriented. Since day one, and through this entire covid time, they have been communicative, encouraging and solution oriented. I am really impressed with how they've kept up dance class, it sure has helped us during self-isolation. My daughter absolutely loves her teacher and classes. She has learned a lot in the past year of "Preschool Dance". Thank you for seeing the potential in my girl to bump her up early into the "Preschool Dance" classes! Overall, great company, great people and great fun.

This last year has been an incredibly special one for my kids. After attending several classes at Summit School of Dance, they are SO in love with dance and singing. They talk about it every day and our fridge is covered with pictures of all the fun memories they have had, especially the recital! You get exactly what you pay for: High quality instructors, great learning experiences, and most importantly: Happy Kids! So much thanks to Summit for creating such great memories for our children.

The owner of this studio does not care about the kids who go to this studio. The ONLY thing she cares about is the money that she is making. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional business owner. I do feel sorry for the instructors who do work there because they are really good and deserve better. It is the most expensive studio in the area and is definitely not worth it.

I have found Summit School of Dance to be a wonderful place to bring children for a fun and stimulating dance program! Their classes are developmentally appropriate, yet still challenging and rewarding. The teaching staff are friendly, helpful and skillful and are there to ensure you and your child have the best experience possible. Much to my pleasure, I have watched several recital performances from Summit and can attest to how well it is run. I have experienced recitals at other studios and can honestly say that our experience at Summit has been the best. At the end of the day, one day of traveling out to Bearspaw is not a big deal, especially when I am sure finding theatre space in this city must be extremely difficult and expensive. I enjoy that photo day is also on a separate day. We have experienced other studios who choose to do it during rehearsal times and I find this to be not only a distraction to the children, but to be a hassle and it makes for a very long and boring day for the young children as they wait for a very long time for their pictures. I appreciate that we have the opportunity to buy the photos after and the variety of packages are perfect depending on how much you want to spend. I always feel well informed of studio events and the office staff are a pleasure to deal with. All in all, I have had nothing but positive experiences here at Summit and would recommend it to my family and friends.

We signed our 5 year old daughter up for “in class” dance lessons. Unfortunately covid restrictions would not allow in class sessions to continue. When we requested to withdraw our daughter, not only did they continue to charge our account(full price also) they said they will not be able to withdraw her as everyone is moved to online classes. Imagine a 5 year old trying to dance in front of a computer for 45 mins. When we emailed them back, as they will not return phone calls, they had the nerve to tell me that my 5 year old daughter needs to sit infront of a computer and dance to help her get though these hard times. Hahahaha!!! Sorry but they have no idea how big of a family I have and how much we do on the daily. Consider it a lost client for life. Would not recommend them to anyone! Never.

The teacher doesn't care about little kid's feelings. The teacher was lack of experience and patients with kid's with special attentions even though she was told upfront. Will not recommend this place to anyone.
