As you know, we don't usually stop to give feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...

This studio is my second home, I have danced here my whole life and I have nothing but good things to say. I have accomplished so much all thanks to dance collective ????
At Dance Collective, it feels like family. Everyone is so loving and supportive. The teachers there, are wonderful. They're all so creative, talented and dedicated. Dance Collective is a warm and welcoming place, with so many people who are just incredible. I will never forget my second home. ????
I’ve been to about 60 performances and been very active in the Dance community for about 20 years. What impresses me the most is how Dance Collective empowers its students while creating a very loving and caring community. I am always impressed with all the Teachers integrity and care for their students.
I’ve danced at this studio for the last 12 years, and it has been a great experience. The atmosphere is great, the teachers are supportive, and the community is fantastic. I have never felt uncomfortable with anything Rebecca, the owner, has had me dance in. She has been a great teacher and will continue to be and has been the main reason I’ve stayed at this studio for so long. I’ve loved everything she’s choreographed whether I danced in it or not and hope she continues to have a long and successful career, because she deserves it.
Both of my kids are loving this studio ! Great atmosphere. Parking isn’t the best but early bird gets the worm !
I've been dancing at Dance Collective since 2010, and I have had Rebecca Collins choreograph my solos for the past three years. She is an amazing choreographer and the most dedicated teacher who brang me up to the dancer I am today. Without her faith in me, I would never have been able to understand myself better, to challenge myself as far as I can go, and to enjoy every moment in dance. I'm fortunate to have all the awesome teachers, staff, and dance friends altogether to grow up here, at our second home: Dance Collective!! The teachers are all so inspirational, are kind and devoted to teaching and helping their students and are knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dance Collective. Come dance with us! ????
The teachers are supportive and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is great.
We love Dance Collective. It has become our second home. My daughter has been able to pursue her passion for dance. The owner and teachers genuinely care for their students. We are grateful to be a part of this kind and supportive community.
Dance Collective is a loving and caring learning environment. I highly recommend it!
I was very impressed with the faculty, and the talented dancers, when I has the opportunity to watch them perform. I highly recommend this dance studio. .
One of the greatest dance studios in Great Vancouver. My daughter had danced there for 13 years since she was 5-year old. Although she graduated two years ago, I still have strong connection with the studio.
The Dance collective is such a fantastic and very professional dance studio. The care, attention and education they provide their dancers is exceptional. The dancers clearly love their teachers and the happy faces at their shows and competitions indicate how much all the dancers are valued and appreciated there. They are allowed such creativity and expression it’s to be applauded.
(Translated) Never learn dance in his home. It's a scam company. The quality of teaching has no advantage over other schools, and there are more pressures. Only after paying the money did I tell you that you must buy his clothes. There is no size for a small shirt at $60. It has to be ordered for two months. My class is almost over. It hasn't been mailed yet, and I will have to visit again to buy clothes. Real Nima cheated.
We have been going to Dance Collective(formerly DBA) since 2009. The owner, Rebecca Collins, and all the teachers are very dedicated and professional, and they love and care about their dancers. I'm grateful I have chosen Dance Collective for my girls. It's not just a dance studio, it's our second home!
We have been going to Dance Collective since 2006, when it was called DBA. I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with this studio. Both the previous and current owners are people of integrity who care about their dancers, the families, and the world at large. Dancers are taught to love themselves and each other, and they are to adhere to strict behavioural expectations, such as always being positive about themselves, each other, and competitors. There are many studios in the Lower Mainland, and the sometimes painful parking lot could cause some people to consider a different studio; however, I choose to stay at this place that embraces diversity, encourages personal bests, and promotes positive growth. Sure, every once in awhile a pest appears in this garden, such as the individual who chose to boo at the children on stage recently—an action that just boggles my mind...a grown man who bullies children—but the good nature of the studio acts as bug repellent and drives that negativity away.
An absolutely amazing studio with incredibly talented and dedicated teachers, choreographers, and dancers. Everyone who works here cares about the kids and they all do their best to make them feel talented and successful. The year end show was professionally staged, and highly entertaining. Keep up the great work Dance collective! EDIT - @Michal J. Krol, the gentlemen that posted a highly negative and inaccurate review today was the man that loudly booed after a group of young dancers did a great job performing one of the songs from the acclaimed musical "The Book of Mormon" Michal, does it make you feel good that you booed a performance by children? Is that how a grown man should treat children who worked hard all year to put on a good show? I think not.
One of the greatest gift Dance Collectice has given my daughter is the love for dance, and for that we are grateful. And we are very appreciative to all of the very talented, caring and dedicated teachers for being such amazing role models for my daughter. We would not hesitate to recommend Dance Collective to everyone we know.
I am so grateful that my daughter started her dance at Dance Collective since the age of four. It has been almost five years now. The teachers are professional, dedicated and patient. Going to dance class is her favorite part of the week, she loves her amazing teachers. She has also made wonderful friendships at the studio. I highly recommend Dance Collective!
Dance Collective is aptly named as it is, indeed, a collective of talented, hard-working individuals, from the teachers to the dancers to the administrative staff! Every year sees improvement in the calibre and creativity of the competitive and performance numbers that come from this studio. This past season saw an overwhelming number of awards and high achievements and culminated with an outstanding, well-run year-end show at Michael J Fox theatre. The owner of this studio is unafraid to explore topics relevant to our lives, and she highlights these in her fantastic, award-winning choreography. While trends in the dance world often have girls dressed scantily and displaying provocative movements, this studio bucks that trend and focuses on technique, enthusiasm, and class. Kudos to Dance Collective and studio owner Rebecca on always exhibiting grace and dignity.
Both my daughter and son have been dancing with Dance Collective for 7 years. I'm so thankful for all the positive things have happened here, we have the most dedicated and talented teachers (choreographers), supportive parents, and hard working dancers. Together we built up the loving, caring and healthy environment. I highly recommend Dance Collective to every dancer from age 3 to 18. And look forward to many good years to grow with them. It truly felt like a family!!!
Dance Collective is amazing! My daughter started her ballet training at DC at age of 9, which is very late, with very little previous experience. After 2 years of detailed instruction and hard work, she thrived this season taking back home several gold and high gold awards with her peers in the local dance competitions. I was overjoyed by her changes. I’m not just talking about technique and choreography. What’s more important, it’s my daughter’s confidence; it’s DC’s inclusiveness and culture of YES. Yes, you can do it, yes, you can achieve, yes, you can further out than you thought at DC!
We are a recreational-dancing family, and Dance Collective has been a wonderful part of our lives. Both my girls started dancing at DC from the age of 3, onwards. They have developed their Ballet, Jazz and Acro repertoire in a fabulous atmosphere: talented/knowledgeable teachers, a caring/approachable owner, and many amazing families. My daughters have built strong friendships here.
Absolutely, I like this dance studio. I have 2 daughters, one is 7, another is 11, and we are new to this studio, just one year. Last weekend, I saw the year show,It is incredible awesome. Their teacher is inspired and work hard.My kids love this studio.
My daughter has been dancing at the studio since 6 years ago when it was called Douglas Ballet Academy. Both Kelly and Rebecca are highly professional dancers and choreographers, truly passionate about dance and teaching. All the teachers my daughter has had are excellent instructors. My daughter has learned to work hard and be disciplined, be respectful to teachers and fellow students, and be thankful. The studio promotes positive values and help shape young dancers to be confident and well-rounded individuals.
My daughter has been dancing at Dance Collective for the past seven years and my son started last year. Both of them LOVE their teachers and the studio is a second home for them! They are very happy to be part of the DC family! The end of the year show was Highly enjoyable, we had a great time watching it! Rebecca Collins is an amazing choreographer, awarded many times in dance competitions and her talent shines throughout all her work!
Fantastic instructor, supportive environment and loads of fun!
Thoroughly enjoy all performances by Dance Collective.....excellent numbers , lovely technique and great energy !
Had my children enrolled in the hip hop Class. Amazing instructor the but people who run it are disorganized. Year end dance recital was done virtually but parents still had to pay (which is fine due to Covid) but I have been asking for a copy of the video which they said they would give and have not received one. Dance recital occurred in June and I’m still waiting. I have been calling and leaving messages and no one is contacting me back. If you are deciding this studio for your children I suggest you look else where. So disappointed.
Love every performance I have seen!!!
Great training for dancing and performance art.
This is an amazing studio that I love very much
????????Great studio!
