Amazing dance studio!!!!! One year ago, when our former dance studio closed, my daughters and I were devastated. We had been a part of our former studio for nine years and my girls dance 4-6 days/week – it was our second home. We were truly feeling lost, but I sent out emails and made phone calls to several studios, from Langley to Ladner, looking for our new dance home. From the very first point of communication, D.I.D.’s director and faculty were super welcoming: from arranging a tour of the studio, to setting up a group evaluation for several of our former studio’s dancers, to bringing in current parents and students to talk with us and to answering countless questions, emails and calls, we were simply blown away. Now, a year later, I can confidently say that we made the right decision to join D.I.D. and we truly feel that we are part of a new family. During this year, my daughters and I made new life-long friends, felt super welcomed, got to go to Disneyland(!!!) and to the Edge in L.A., competed in several dance competitions, attended master classes, auditioned for local and national dance schools/programs, were in a parade and performed both in a coffee concert and in a spectacular year-end show! The growth my girls have made personally and as dancers has been incredible and it’s all thanks to the wonderfully talented, world-class, faculty and programming at D.I.D. Thank-you D.I.D. for everything and I can’t wait to see what the upcoming years bring!

Deas Island is an incredible dance studio. I came here when I was in grade 10 and I felt so accepted by my teachers, my fellow classmates and other dancers. It is very professional, but at the same time, it feels like family. Going to Deas has given me the chance to learn from many unique teaching styles and explore many forms of dance. I've fallen back in love with my dancing through Deas Island and I'm so grateful to have invested my time here. Highly recommend!

As a dance parent, we have found Deas Island Dance to be an excellent school. The dance teachers and staff have always been welcoming and supportive of all the students. Deas Island Dance has provided my daughter will the opportunities to not only develop her dance abilities but also travel internationally for dance education and the World Tap competition. Deas Island Dance is amazing! I started dance a little later and Deas welcomed me with open arms. For the past five years, I have experienced so many things with all of my best friends. The teachers are so nice and push you to be your best in everything. Going to Deas, has taught me so many great things and has become my second home. Last year, I even had the chance to travel to California. We got to take master classes at both EDGE and Disney Studios. The best part was performing inside of Disneyland with all of my friends. I would totally suggest this studio!

I absolutely love Deas Island Dance! I have been dancing here for 12 years and all of the staff and students are absolutely wonderful! Every class is like one big family!! With amazingly talented teachers to better their dancers, students that become your best friends, and classes that will drastically improve technique and performance, I would highly recommend this studio!!

I love Deas. I've danced here since I was 2 and a half. (15 years) I've had so many experiences that were so wonderful. I am so loved and supported there. The teachers and office staff are so helpful. I've had opportunities to go to festival and also to New York for some classes. I've grown so close to everyone there it's like a second family. For younger kids there is storybook ballet and jazz classes where they can learn rhythm and movement. For older kids, you can start working on your RAD exams. I have loved every moment of being there and would recomend it to any one who is interested in dancing.

Deas Island is an amazing dance studio. The teachers are all amazing, kind, and always think of what's best for their students, and the students are the most incredible and beautiful people I have ever met. I have been Dancing at Deas for over 14 years and it's become a second home where I feel comfortable and safe. I have been given so many opportunities while at Deas that I wouldn't have had if I hadn't gone to Deas (taking dance classes in New York, performing in Disney and taking dance classes in LA, student teaching other classes...) I am incredibly grateful for every moment I have spent, and will spend, at Deas Island Dance.

I've been dancing at this studio for 11 years and it's become more then my studio but my home. I've never felt so welcome. My classmates are my family. Not to forget, the teachers are some of the most caring and inspiring people you'll ever meet. I wouldn't be the person I was today if it werent for the teachers and my peers. Just last year, my modern group won Dream Team, it was a very well performed and choreographed dance I have to say. Then donating the $500 to charity! Over the years, I've had mutiple personal problems but I ALWAYS find joy dancing at Dease Island Dance:) I highly recommend!!!!

My daughter attended 2 sessions of the pre ballet summer classes this year... i was so impressed with the teachers we had as well as the student teachers they had in place. As a parent I was so comfortable with the procedures they had in place when the kids entered their classes. My daughter on the other hand has not stopped talking about how fun the classes were and is still talking and asking about her teachers!!! We are really looking forward to officially joining the deas island dance family in September!!! It’s going to be a really great year!!! we are so excited!!!

I have been dancing at Deas Island Dance since I was in kindergarten. I absolutely love coming to the studio - the teachers are encouraging, and the people I dance with have become my best friends. Deas Island has taught me not only beautiful technique and expression, but also discipline and a joy for dance. I could not imagine not coming to dance throughout the week. This community has become such a large part of who I am.

I used to go here and it was AWFUL! The teachers are nasty! Whatever you do, don't come here! I give it a -6 out of 10! The only reason I had to give it 1 star is because it won't let me post my review otherwise.

Deas Island Dance is an amazing dance school that offers a great dancing environment. I consider everyone from my classes to be part of my family. I have grown to be so close to everybody and without the help from the studio, I wouldn't be the person I am today. All the teachers are so kind and caring and are always there to support you. This is overall an astounding studio that I love to go to each and every day.
