This might be biased since I teach at the studio but honestly this is the most welcoming studio I have ever taught at. And I've only been there for 1 month! Feels like I've known the studio managers forever. The studio encourages everyone to participate in team building events, like Karaoke night, club night or hiking. How many studios in Vancouver does that!? If you are looking for a warm and friendly studio that has dance classes tailored for pros, dance lovers, and newbies; then this is the place for you!!!

Just took the best exercise /dance class -- Hip Hop with Tq and Shay. It's an hour class that feels like 20 minutes because it's so fun. The dance moves work your whole body & the music and instructors are energetic and motivating. When it was over everyone was sweating and smiling. Awesome way to shed some winter weight.

Best dance studio in Vancouver, every instructor I have gotten lessons from are very passionate about what they do and always have been very patient & positive right from the begining. They have a great model of teaching and classes are fun filled, they also organise activities for students which helped me to learn dancing comfortably and fast. I highly recommend this studio!

I can’t say enough good things about Baza Dance! I have taken their classes for over a year and they have helped me improve so much as a dancer. I love their style, creativity and musicality. They are great instructors with very clear, easy to follow instructions but also push you beyond your comfort level to help you grow as a dancer. I’m so happy that they have added some fresh flavour to the Vancouver Salsa Scene. I highly recommend their classes if you want something beyond the regular salsa lessons.

The energy at Baza is fun, inviting, and warm. It exudes not just from the instructors, ambazadors, and staff but also from the entire dance community they have created. Having lived in Latin America, I am so thrilled to have found a dance shcool that truly feels like it has captured the authentic passion and flavour of latin dance that I was seeking. Baza is an excellent school to learn the basics and to elevate your dance skills over time. As a beginner I felt soo welcomed in class but also in the social dances where more advanced dancers are always eager to help others learn and grow through practice. If you are like me and want to know how to dance already, I recommend the all access pass to be able to try different styles of partner dances like Bacahata and Salsa, and also have access to the super fun Zumba, Reggeaton, and Latin styling classes. As a married gal whose husband doesn't dance, I was relieved to find that you never need to come with a partner at Baza. The pros are very good about always getting you dancing with new people - making it a fun, social activity. The passion for dance at Baza is truly contagious! I can not recommend it enough, dancing at Baza has changed my life. ????✨????✨????

Kristal and Wayne's instruction of ON 2 timing and New York style salsa is particularly on point and their groove class offers a unique shine experience for more intermediate and advanced dancers. Their groovy, funky flavour is not only innovative and creative; they also bring out the best in their students with their professional instruction and particular brand of dance philosophy. I love love Wayne and Kristal teaching and dancing! They bring to Vancouver their unique groovie style. If you are curious about learning Salsa, Bachata or Chacha, make sure you start with them! They will teach you dancing right from the basics of On2 or New York style dancing up to more advanced dance classes such as the Salsa Grooves or Performance classes. I have taken many lessons in the past and I for sure will recommend their dance classes to everyone from absolute beginners to more seasoned dancers who want to improve their dance level. They are not only my favorite dance instructors in Vancouver but also they are very personable and very nice people inside and outside the dance floor.

I’ve taken salsa classes from other studios and Baza is absolutely the best one to start learning salsa with. They took at least 2 classes to practice basic steps so that it will come to your memory. This is very important (for absolute beginners who just start learning to dance) that other studios tend to skim over. Plus, the teachers are very patient and will help you in every way! 10 out of 10.

Very nice people working here who will help fill out the paperwork to get started, didn't find that there was anyone who couldn't or wouldn't help x payment, washrooms, hand washing, etc. Instructor was fun, never danced with her before so a whole new selection of music (except maybe 1 or 2 songs) so that was nice & different dance style than what I'm used to. Fun class, great environment & enough room to be comfortable dancing & not in someone else's pocket! Thanks ladies - and fellas, had fun tonight. M

Baza Dance gave me the first mambo class experience. the reason why i chose Baza Dance was they look so cool!! Before taking class, I saw their dances couple times at ballroom. They looked so sexy and musical! I am really enjoying the class. Kristal gives me a lot of effective advice in the class. Also I like choreo which Wayne made. When I learn his choreo, I can feel ' I'm dancing! ' Because it's so musical and I can feel the music. Feeling sooooo good!!

Super friendly people! The giant mirror in the studio is well used by their passionate hawk-eyed instructors with great attention to details to give prompt and helpful feedback in an encouraging manner. Their dedication to the progression of each class is obvious if you were to spend a few minutes watching from one of their comfy couches by the front desk. It never feels like they are leaving anyone behind. Would recommend to anyone anytime, come check it out!

I started taking salsa level 1 classes with Arely and I really enjoyed taking the entry salsa classes. I enjoyed it so much that after my 6-week class was completed, I decided to sign up for a few private classes to step up my game and boy am I glad I did! Arely is a great instructor, friendly and very patient. She really helps you understand every move you are learning and won’t let you move on until you get it 100% making it very rewarding when you nail that move! Not only does she teach you the importance of every detail, but she also gives you bonus moves and styles to incorporate into your moves that you won’t learn in regular classes making every private class more exciting and more motivational. My whole experience was great, and I can’t wait to go to their social dancing with my Fiancée. I also had the pleasure to meet Kristal and Wayne, owners of Baza. So far I have loved everything about my experience with Baza! I just finished my first course, and was looking forward to my second one which was unfortunately cancelled amidst the pandemic - but I am still planning on rebooking it once everything normalizes. I've done Intro Salsa with Arely, and she was fantastic. She taught the class in a way that everyone was able to understand, and she made a point of giving everyone individualized attention, even though it was a group class. I love that Baza offers options to dance socially, and is flexible with taking additional class, and making them up if you can't make it to one as well. Thank you!

Her lessons are made of fun, joy and good vibes. She will not only teach you great moves but also make sure you understand them, you feel them, build up your confidence.
