They are the G.O.A.T when it comes to teaching dance. Many great dancers and teachers go to this academy and every minute is full of creativity and fun.
I have my two daughters learning ballet at La Danse for two years, and I am very please with everything - the school, the teachers, and friendly staff. I won't hesitate to recommend La Dance School! My girls cannot wait for their new term in this fall. To me it is the best place to go if parents considering dance as their kids' extracurricular activity. Highly Recommend!
There are very friendly teachers here. Your children will enjoy the dance learning here.

Excellent quality of instruction. Need more consistent support staff. Communication is too often erroneous, missing, losing parents' email addresses, etc. Having said that, we have returned here for six years so far.
If you expect me to hand you my five years old for 45 min and not be able to go in to see where she's going to be? and around what ? Then i don't know what kind of parents you've been dealing with. Now, some of you might think I must be some control freak. I assure you, I am not. All there's to it, is the strong stench of sweat had me wanting to see the state of ventilation in the building.
This studio has an unique way of blending old school expectations and technical expertise with current participant trends. All 3 of my daughters dance her, and if it’s any indication of the teachers excellence, they have yet found another activity/sport that they are prepared to miss dance for...which is a compliment to the la danse instructors!
The studio directors are all extremely knowledgeable about their dance specialties. The teachers challenges the students while keeping the atmosphere positive and produce amazing dancers. My daughter has been at this studio for 7 years and she has loved every moment. The other dancers are all encouraging of each other and the studios are cleaned and organized.
Fondly known as the clubhouse, my girls have loved their experiences at La Danse! The directors are experts in their areas and can really push these kids to master their skills????. You definitely get what you pay for and more at this studio????
We’ve been a part of the La Danse family for 15 years now and I have a little one that will be going there for many more years to come. The school produces wonderfully trained dancers with impeccable technique. Almost all classes are taught by the 3 main directors. The other classes are taught by highly qualified instructors that are a bit older and work amazing with the children. They offer optional exam classes for those students that want to further enhance their dance training. Many La Danse alumni have taken their dance career to new levels upon graduation and are working performers all over the world. The part we’ve loved the most about La Danse is the family feeling it has created for us. Many of our closest friends are parents we’ve met at the studio and the childhood friendships my children have made there have continued on even after they’ve stopped dancing and moved to different cities. La Danse has taught my girls so much more than just dance. It’s taught them confidence and time management along with a determination and preserverance to do the best they can at everything they encounter in life. We highly recommend them as one of the best studios in the province and encourage everyone we know to enroll in classes there. We know they will love them as much as we have.
This fall will be my daughter’s 8th year with La Dance, and out of all the activities she has tried , this is the one she has stayed with. The instructor’s are amazing , they know when to be tough and get the most out of our dancers but also when to ease up a bit . Mallory and or Danielle are always at the front desk to answer any questions or concerns. And of course the performance at the end of the year is always amazing ! Thank you La Dance.
ALL things at LaDanse have been quite enjoyable for our daughter. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and most professional! She looks forward to her classes and is learning SO much! The school does a great job to create hunger for more instruction. It’s a wonderful overall dance environment!!! -Valerie Kaye
My daughters have been attending La Danse for over 10 years. The directors are amazing and talented ladies. They have helped to in instill an excellent work ethic within my daughters and they help them to strive to be the best young ladies that they can be. They truly care about their dancers. We are so proud to be part of the La Danse family.
We've been at a few studios now, as we've moved, and for proximity and quality of instruction La Danse is lovely. It's very accessible with a large (shared, but often empty at dance times) parking lot and is easily accessible from Circle/College. The studio is great for students - not set up for parents to stay (which, in and of itself, is just fine!) and the changing area is very roomy. Instruction is fabulous. The perfect blend of competitive and fun. We left our last studio after hearing the director berate her own child for not doing a better job of filling at a competition. They are collaborative and encouraging at La Danse, but still take technique and skill seriously. It's a lovely blend and perfect for a child who loves dance, but thrives with (positive) challenges introduced. On the downside, the admin area of things is less awesome. First, they (rather passive aggressively) like to stress how they're "old school" and only accept cheques because they "like personal interaction" (as though registration is a personal moment one spends together! :D ) and don't totally understand how CC or EMT payments work. So,expect to write 15+ (10 months of dance, a bunch of costume and registration) cheques on the spot, at registration! It's too bad because there are so many easier, more convenient and less expensive (for both La Danse and parents) or time consuming ways to go about registration and payment but they are adamant that they are not open to those. They send lots of communication throughout the year but it's often counterintuitive or passive aggressive. What we, as parents (particularly if you've not been doing it for years - we're almost 7 years in and I still don't always know what I'm expected to know!) need to know is exactly how a recital or competition works - where you're expected to be and when, but also a little information on how those days work. The simple, practical, "we were beginners, once, too" kind of stuff. It's very overwhelming if you've never done it before and if you have to travel, really nice to know what to expect. Questions are sometimes ignored and then addressed, pointedly and passive-aggressively, in an email to everyone several days later. But when it's something like an extra closure post-competition, it's glossed over resulting in a parking lot full of confused parents when the studio is closed. God forbid you want a tax receipt - those are "ONLY AVAILABLE IN PERSON BECAUSE IT'S A FAVOUR THAT WE EVEN PROVIDE THEM". (That was a particularly threatening email...and I'm not entirely sure what we did to deserve it!) (Also, you will ALWAYS feel like you're in trouble in ALL OF THE WAYS after receiving an email - there's a lack of casualness, of humor...to the nth degree!) So, studio itself - great. Instruction? Wonderful. But given the amount of time one needs to spend dealing with the administration side of thing (and as someone who knows that as the face of an organization, particularly one with a common interest - there's so much room to do it better) it would be great if they just remembered what it was like before they'd done it all 20 times, and that there are ways to get the same information across without alienating those you will eventually try and guilt in volunteering to help you.
My daughter has completed 2 seasons with LaDanse. She loves it! The instructors create a fun atmosphere with quality instruction. Highly recommend.
