I just love Step by Step School of Dance. This family founded company genuinely cares for their dancers. I have three girls attending numerous classes there, and they love dancing, they adore their teachers, and they love being a part of the Step by Step family! Thank you to all those who make this studio such a special place.

The environment in this studio is so incredibly unsupportive and the treatment of the students is unacceptable. Unless the students parents are on the board or work at the studio, in which case you are treated like a deity, students are ignored and continuously verbally abused. Many teachers gossip about their students to others whether they be other dancers, parents or teachers. This isolates them from their group and allows for other students to treat them in the same manner. Teachers in this studio are very hit or miss. One of the teachers does not care for her classes at all, is continuously absent and lacks commitment. Another outright criticises their students in front of everyone in a way that does not promote improvement. Step by Step also has seriously messed up values when it comes to education. When teachers find out students are missing class for important exams or make up tests, students are scrutinised and penalised for missing. It seems that every year costumes are increasingly skimpy which goes along with the age group inappropriate dancing. If you are considering joining Step by Step, I would highly advise otherwise, unless you are prepared to deal with plummeting self esteem, verbal abuse and cold, hostile teachers.

Had attended this dance studio for 6 years. Was always a great experience and would recommend to anyone. It was a true dance family feel. Until Covid hit and everything was shut down resulting in a lot of outstanding money. Management and owner have been very unforgiving to circumstances and have since deleted my family account information during active membership, correspondence and acknowledgment of my dissatisfaction. Beware enrolling here, it now comes down to the dollar and staying open versus the kids.
