Got both positive and a bit negative experience there. Positive. On the first floor I asked if they have shoes I need ( I have mentioned a brand as well as a style I was looking for), and 3 sales representative made their best to help me! Negative. On the third floor, I was trying to find a dress for my friend's wedding, and a sales representative was a bit pushy. She kept saying that even though they didn't have my size in stock they could order it from other place, but I have to pay here. Also, I didn't like their variety of dresses. I said that this is not what I was looking for, and she continued to say that in my size I will like it.

I hate malls and haven't been to a single one that I liked. The only reason I was there was to meet some friends at a restaurant and it was the closest place for all of us to travel to with free parking. It was not my choice. So that's why I gave my review one star. It was really difficult to find my way around. It was noisy. The shops usually have loud, rock music playing so I can't even hear myself thinking. The lights are too bright. There are not enough places to sit down to rest unless one pays in a restaurant. I am 67, retired, so have lots of time and a bit of money to spend but I just wanted to get away as soon as possible. To improve, I would suggest, create an environment where people want to spend more, not less time. Improve the acoustics, first of all. Provide more seating areas, change fluorescent lighting, which gives me a headache to a healthier choice. Group shops so that someone who wants to buy a pair of shoes does not have to walk five miles to compare styles and prices. Play elevator music in the shops or nothing at all! Silence - what a concept! So that shoppers don't have to shout to the assistant and can hear themselves thinking to make a decision about their purchase. As it is, I choose to shop online as much as possible.

I just had the best experience at the Yorkdale Nordstrom. I went in to browse and left with 2 pairs of boots and a Strathberry purse. All the sales staff were friendly and helpful but one in particular stood out. We had Owais helping us. He was amazing! He was so kind and attentive. He figured out my style and went shopping for various purses and shoes to show me. He even walked around the store with us to offer advice and answer questions. He was great and it was an excellent experience. Thank you Owais for your amazing service!

The private shopping with your own personal shopper is awesome. They serve you champagne while you shop and cater to your style.

I adore Nordstrom as a brand and I've been shopping there since I discovered them in San Francisco many years ago. The Yorkdale location is the only one that I won't shop at. Staff are stuck up and they treat customers like criminals. They seem to arbitrarily change the return policy on a whim based on whether or not they like you. I ended up taking the item to the Eaton Centre location where I felt like a valued customer.

Used to like the store until last week when I tried to buy some face cream for my toddler. The sale lady kept trying to sell me la mer and shiseido. I told her over and over Again I am getting a cream for my 2 years old - he was with me that day. I alway buy his face cream there. However she won’t listen.. instead she told me off.. told me to go to Shopper drug mart. Obviously this store don’t want my business anymore with their horrible attitude. It’s a good thing saks and holts both carry the brand my son uses.

Nordstrom is one of my favorite dept stores (love Bloomies too). I feel like the category fits right between the Bay and Holt Renfrew. They have items you just can’t get many other places and some beautiful house brands. Only missing one star because the stores in CA don’t have the amazing selection the states do. I figure if I shop often and buy lots maybe the increased revenue will allow to Canada to justify bringing in additional inventory. Is that crazy?HELP ME!!! I know many American chains have recently closed in Canada. Nordstrom. Please stay, Canadians need your elevated style.

This location is in Yorkdale mall. It's very lovely with a restaurant and cafe to extend your shopping experience. The staff were hard to locate but it was quite busy on a Saturday. Lots of floors with direct access to the parking structure below, so if you only wanted to shop here you could. Have a good selection of premium brands. This is competing with Holt Renfrew and feels more inviting and accessible

Great customer service is a breath of fresh air when compared to the Bay on the other side of the mall. One tip is that Nordstrom does free hemming on site so if those pants you want to buy are too long it's no problem and can be fixed on the same day usually.

Very big department store with a ton of designer clothes. Well laid out and very spacious. I like that there is a public phone charging station which is a nice to have in there. Different floors for men and women clothes and a sizable infant/kids section on the top floor. They even sell strollers and car seats!

On normal days they are 5 stars. They make balloons for kids and have play stations for them and everybody feels welcome. I have also walked in when they prepping for their anniversary sale for card holders only, where large areas are blocked off way in advance. I just immediately left. It was unwelcoming. To be fair it’s not the store ,, because I enjoy shopping there but an embarrassing accident happened to me with one associate ,, I was shopping for around 30 min ,, wearing a seethroght face mask , my mask is see through full mask (not shield but mask that’s sealed from the top of the nose and goes all the way to cover the chin and cheeks all sealed from sides,, an associate approached me in the second floor and start the conversation “ms. you are not wearing a proper mask “ I replied yes it is proper mask He replied but not approved by the government , so I ask you to leave the store and shop online I left but first of all very rude from associate to ask customer to leave a store ,, even if I was without mask he can offer me a mask like any other store,, plus the government was very clear about the masks and the requirements and my mask I’m using since March with no issue anywhere ,,, and he didn’t even ask if I have medical reason not to wear a mask Also a big store should have one of the available 30 securities to stand by the entrance to explain the store policy about mask if you have something different than the mall ,,, not a random associate asking a customer with a pile of clothes picked already to leave the store .... it’s not the store itself but one associate can caused the store a bad review

Great shopping experience at this store. Large enough that you have lots of selection and small enough that you don't have to spend hours digging through racks. Well curated collections, nicely layed out and good quality products -- including their well-priced house brands. Can be pricey so keep an eye out for major sales as they do great markdowns. Bazille restaurant on 2nd floor is very cozy comfortable and has a tasty menu.

Went to the cosmetics department for a specific brand which I know is sold there because it was time for restock. A sale associate in Bobby Brown said they don't carry it and to try Sephora, not even trying to look around at other Nordstrom in the city. I came to this store to purchase jumpsuit. I thought why not to purchase low-back bra as well, but when I found out that it's too expensive and little out of my budget, I refused. Lady was super sweet and helpful, but tried to push sell as hard as she could. Good job, no thanks, I'm not kind of person who can be pushed. Instead, I decided to sew cups. Paid extra fee for rush, which is no problem. The problem was that my cups fell out 30 mins after venue started!!! Came back upset next days asking to sew cups back. Lady told me "I'll call you back when it's done". It's been 5 weeks....5 freaking weeks! I came over myself asking if it's ready, because 5 weeks is more than enough to sew cups to jumpsuit, and it wasn't done! Why would I pay extra rush fee if cups fell out almost right away and it's not fixed on timely manner after?! Gentleman apologized, refunded rush fee and my jumpsuit was ready like next day.

Most of the tailoring was done correctly, but the left pant leg was 0.5 inches longer than the right. It seemed as though the person doing the work was extremely lazy and decided not to measure properly. I can't imagine how much longer a custom job would take vs off the rack.

I bought something from Nordstrom.ca and it showed that I could pick up on the same day, but I didn't receive the pick up email until 7:30. So I contacted the customer service on Nordstrom.ca. They told me that they had contacted the store and the order actually ready to pick up. But when I called Nordstrom Yorkdale , the women who picked up my phone insult my pronunciation and told me just wait until I get pick up email. Godwin, the salesperson in the men's shop, has helped me build some amazing collection of dress shirts, pants, suits, ties, shoes, and blazers. Can you say AMAZING SERVICE?!?! Went to Yorkdale to find a pair of Arizona Copper Birkenstocks and hit all the normal stores with no luck. Walked into Nordstrom and right away was greeted with a staff member in the shoe section that took his time to show and find the right size pair for my wife. Beautiful store and positive shopping experience. I even signed up for the Nordstrom card. My wife loves the shoes as they are impossible to find anywhere else. Thanks again for your attention to customer service. Will be back for sure!

Used to love this location for great service and variety but this location has gone down hill with there service. I put an item on hold and specified this location (Yorkdale) as the location I’d pick it up at since they said they had one in stock unfortunately somewhere in the line of communication it was changed to eaton which I understand happens and I don’t blame them for that. The problem was going into this location and the staff were so rude and snobby, even asked me what the person who put the item on hold looks like as if I asked him to describe what he looks like over the phone. It’s your job to diffuse a situation and fix it and not to come across rude and unprofessional from the first response. Skip this location for men’s designer and sportswear!

But they didnt give me any kind of high or thrill like real bourbon. The layout of the store appears to be much more open and inviting than some of the other large anchor stores in the mall. There are staff everywhere, offering to assist customers. Very easy for people with wheelchairs and strollers to navigate.

Generally unhelpful and slow staff, exception being men’s suiting who were at least somewhat helpful. Not worth the time given the excellent selection of stores at Yorkdale. Nordstrom at Eaton is significantly better by all criteria, shan’t be shopping here again.

Went for some Christmas shopping..... 2 girls were in front of me in the shoe department and suddenly one of the girls screamed about the price after she picked up a pair of ordinary shoes - "OMG. Update: It has been a week since I sent an email to the one you left and I am still waiting for the reply. Is it how you value your customer's opinion? I went here today for the early access of anniversary sale. I was among the first group of customers and I went straight to the skincare area but I did not see any of the la prairie or the Diptyque set advertised online. Later I saw some random sales outside of the anniversary sale section who each had roughly 20 boxes of the sets in front of them and they were checking out those sets without any customer present. My understanding is that for Canadian Nordstrom, anniversary sale is first only open to WALKIN customers only. If sets are sold out to those who are not even present before the first day of opening, then what's the point of early access? No one can access earlier than your own staffs. Today I had a conversation with a saleslady in Nordstrom Eaton Center. She said Yorkdale is the only store in Toronto that allows its staffs to "hide" products at the back while all other stores always put whatever they received from the States on display. Some of the sets are left deliberately for Yorkdale's long-term customers who are not ambassadors and thus could not shop earlier. She helped me check on system the skincare set I was intended to get that was claimed to be "out of stock" in Yorkdale and it turns out there are at least 30 sets available in Yorkdale. It's absolutely ridiculous and I am so confused now, Nordstrom Yorkdale, could you please let me know what is prestigious about your skincare department to cheat your customers in the dumbest way possible?

Price of products are on the high side but some products have very good qualities. They have two cell phone charging towers. I used to LOVE shopping at Nordstrom, that is until a gentleman named Phil decided to kick me out for not having a "face covering" on. My friend who was visiting from the United States was completely appalled by this, and he will be cancelling his card with Nordstrom after realizing Nordstrom supports medical discrimination. After informing the manager, Phil, of my medical condition, he told us that we can shop online, or come before or after hours to get what we want. Basically, we can't have the same shopping experience as others, since I have a medical illness, which my doctor has advised me to not restrict my breathing. Phil was NOT understanding whatsoever, and wanted us out of the store immediately. Now I understand that Nordstrom is a private company, but they are still to abide by the Ontario Human Rights Code, as stated in the By-Law. Nobody has ever given me an issue at Nordstrom, except for Phil. We will no longer be giving this business our money, and we will be sharing this experience with many others, so that they don't get embarrassed in public, like how we did. We also did not argue with him, we said okay, and we exited. This is a violation of the Humans Right Code, and I will be forwarding this information to be investigated. 0/5

So here's the thing. Nordstrom is amazing don't get me wrong, great selection, open floor plans, it's great. However, the staff here HAS to be on commission in a bad, bad way. You cannot be left alone for 5 seconds to browse peacefully without a sales associate jumping on you every time you turn around. It must be rough to work here. I would much prefer if the man or woman trying to help me out would give me some breathing room. I walked in a huge circle trying to avoid this sales person and was practically chased. Chill out Nordstrom, this is not what I call a luxury shopping experience, it's actually nauseating. 4 stars for what they stock, not who or how they hire.

I do like nordstrom a lot, and I spend a lot in it. Also there is my favorite sales in yorkdale location. However, only yorkdale location has problem with egift card I purchased in app "moola". Moola is a very strict app with verification of payment, and it is very popular in Canada. The egift card I bought do have money in it. But yorkdale location refused to proceed with it. I am a customer, I do have right to purchase gift card anywhere I want to. How could a department store refuse client to use they own gift card? If you don't accept my egift card, at least you need to approve it with policy, but they don't have any policy about why I can't use gift card purchased through third party. If nordstrom doesn't accept the egift card purchased from third party, then stop third party selling it, but not stop customer using it. It's not fair to customer, I am not the person who should take responsibility. Moreover, many store's gift card are selling in moola, they all doesn't have any issue with using in store, even other nordstrom locations, but only nordstrom in Yorkdale. I want a official explanation why I cannot use egift card of nordstrom which has money in it.

I visited last night, Dec 2nd, to get my wife’s early christmas gift. There was last day for black Friday sale and hope to get something for her. My wife and I went to the jewellery section and she was interested to see earrings of Monica Vinader. We asked someone to help and prices. Young tall brown lady came to us and she said everything was 40% off, so we asked to see the earrings that my wife wants and check the price. She scanned the barcode and the earrings are NOT on sale. My wife and I asked her which ones are on sale. She said she need to scan every items that we were interested. My wife pointed out three items to see and price as well. While she was showing and checking the price of two items, one customer was showed up in the jewellery section She excused us she need to take care of another customer(?). She left us and did not come back. We only had her less than 5 minutes to help purchase we just wasted our time and my wife was very upset and unpleasant. My wife and I couldn’t hold back my anger of rudeness and lack of customer service.

Used to be my favourite place to shop. My husband loves Tom Ford, and I purchase a bottle every now and then. The Tom Ford lady Tannaz is extremely rude and stingy. I purchase a $400 fragrance, asking for some samples and get generic Nordstrom sample bottle that dries out in a few days. Twice she said that they don't have glass bottles. When I passed by while leaving the store, she gave me a dirty look and clearly made a comment to her coworker. Strange, but when I came the next day for a lipstick, a blonde girl (didn't catch her name) was nice enough and provided me 2 samples in nice glass bottles with propers labels and even boxes. I like Nordstrom, but choice of people at this location is very questionable, I see old people leaving and they hire absolutely useless people who are rude and have no idea what customer service is. I think it's time to go to Holts instead.

If you want to be ignored and looked down upon, go directly to the perfume section at nordstrom. When I asked for a sample of an almost $400 dollar perfume they refused, saying they don't even have a tester. Well, she lied because the other lady did spray the tester on the cardboard. As if I'm going to spend that much money based on one sniff. Everyone knows perfumes need to be tested based on your skin's chemistry. And then they proceeded to stare me down. Well if you hate your job, go to McDonald's. Embarrassing. Not to mention their perfume section is boring and has barely any selection.

On November 12, 2016, I bought an Americano coffee at the cafeteria of Nordstrom located on the main level. A waiter spilled this coffee and added water. It was completely spoiled coffee. I wanted to purchase a bottle of perfume and a lady from the perfume section was helping me with an issue I had (although I currently reside in Toronto, I have Nordstrom points from the US that I wanted to use). She took me over to the customer service desk where I dealt with the most unpleasant girl that I have ever seen in my life. She was miserable, cold, unwelcoming and you can definitely see that she did not like her job. When I was having issues with the Nordstrom points, they called over a manager to the customer service desk who was even more unpleasant and miserable than the girl who works there. He didn't even speak or address me directly and seemed to be annoyed that he had to deal with this issue. If you don't like your job, then you should probably not be in a position of customer service. I will definitely not be shopping at this location again.

I never post reviews, however after seeing that somebody left a negative review on one of the best sales associates I have shopped with, I felt the need to say something. I was able to be helped by Ditona, and she went above and beyond to help me with my new wardrobe. She was very knowledgeable on the different lines across the store and was able to make my shopping experience extremely enjoyable (regardless of the Christmas mall madness). I will definitely be back and asking for Ditona to help me!

I have been to this store many many times and was always very impressed by their customer service. But I guess rood people are anywhere and only takes one employee to ruin one's reputation. Yesterday I was returning a dress and the sale employee, Sunhee L, was very rood, first trying to ignore me, then when is my turn taking her sweet time, occupying her self to make me even wait longer.... then attending to another customer who just walked in, while I am standing there... I don't except this kind of behaviour... I really wanted to ask her to call her manager over... but I was late. You can be sure that Nordstrom won't be the first place I go while at Yorkdale.

Worst customer service, I bought a Burberry bag and bag delivered to us different from the shape we saw online. We showed them the picture of bag posted in Nordstrom website and the bag we received and they admitted discrepancy. Ben (Yorkdale shoping centre) who was the manager refused to honor the price and we ended up returning the item. Burberry should also take action for dishonoring their brand. Ben was unprofessional and did not rightfully represent neither the company or Burberry.

I love Nordstrom. They're the best at (as mom says) old fashioned customer service! It reminds Grandma of what Easton's did for their customers. Staff is helpful. Properly trained. Professionally dressed. During the forced retail closures during Covid- Nordstrom excelled the "E Shop" and have Card holders extended points.

After spending hours searching for a prom dress, I have found an amazing one here. Only one problem, petit sizes needs to be ordered in US and that adds to the price... However, next time I will probably start there and then try other stores.

I get to speak to her and she made sure she helped me in the best possible way and i leave the store happy and satisfied. Yen and Alice at Clarins counter are amazing and know their trade well. This location is very clean and has staff that are super friendly. The men's section has a good selection of clothes and shoes - I had to get some jeans I purchased hemmed, Nordstrom's did this for a small charge and offered to ship the jeans to me so I didn't have to come back to the store.

I was given a new eyeliner from a company I had never heard of. The woman working for Nordstrom convinced me to switch from my Marc Jacobs eye liner to this one. The eyeliner is terrible. By the end of the work day it is smudged on my face. I am so disappointed that I was told this last over twelve hours on your face. Clearly that wasn't accurate.

Love shopping at Nordstrom but this time around had to worse customer service experience ever while shopping in the Yorkdale location.Went in to purchase a shoe I saw online. The first person I came in contact with was a Manager name Rhea, she was very rude and sounded very sarcastic. I asked her,if they had a size in the shoe i was looking for and her responses was I will get someone to help which took 20 minutes before I received some help and when the shoe came out they were dirty and had a stain, at which time I asked if that was the only pair available and I asked if there would be any further discount applied and I was told go to Northstomrack and she walked away. Instead of explaining the store policy on damage items. The whole experience was very upsetting.

Nordstrom Yorkdale is a huge store with a very good selection of designer clothes shoes and other products. I dropped in to buy a couple of shirts and with the help of one of the salesperson was able to pick out and purchase 2 shirts. I liked that the salespersons are very friendly and take the time to help even making suggestions. Looks like these stores are trying to model themselves after the European designer stores in Paris, ect. They don't quite make it. Prices are outrageous and quality (and quantity) are just not top notch. The store at Yordale looks nice but escalators not working, not enough sales people to help you (considering the prices they are charging) and not sure (my opinion only) that their imports are genuine (especially since I have shopped in Europe).

Very upscale selection of handbags, shoes, and clothing (men, women, children, etc.). The brands are definitely on the high end, but the highest floor tends to have items in a slightly lower price range and more sale racks. There's plenty of staff everywhere and they're all very, very helpful all the time - willing to help with sizes, styles, etc. Very spacious dressing rooms and a good variety of clothing styles (dresses, casual/everyday wear, workout clothing, etc.)

Clothes I'm sure are fine, but service was horrendous. I walked up and stood clearly in front of 5 women in the women's department, and they all ignored me as they all talked in a circle. When I said hello, they all looked at me like I was rudely interrupting their serious conversation about their weekends plans. When I asked where I could find petite sizes, I got looked up and down and one girl at least spoke up and pointed me in a general direction, but did not take me over or try to help at all. I just left after that as it wasn't worth my money to receive such terrible service from a supposedly "upscale" store. Lost a customer.

Everything here is absolutely disastrous. There are no organizations in any categories here. Except you'll find the shoes section THAT'S VERY VISIBLE. This store is completely different compare to a normal high end department store. Since you cannot find anything here without going through every rack and search something that appeal might to you. Most of the items don't even have a price tag. Yes there are a lot of high end brands in this store, but some how I find it extremely unattractive, because of the presentation vs HR. You just feel lazy to even go to pick through the pile of clothes here. I do merchandising too but whoever is in charge clearly have no clue how to run a retail store.

Extremely high-end department store with brand-names in everything from designer handbags and accessories to make-up and formal-wear. There's also a trendy bar on the second floor and a restaurant on the third, with a great selection of food and beverages --and not unreasonably priced. Whether you're having a $9 omelette or buying an $800 sweater, Nordstrom seems to me to be a really great experience.

I went into Nordstrom at Yorkdale on September 1, I stood in the Dior section for 5-7 minutes awaiting help. Two older European lady employees were having a very important conversation it seemed. I was not dressed up as I was running errands quickly before my birthday dinner, and so the employees ignored me. I left the store, and made my purchase at Holt, with excellent service. Sorry, but how I’m dressed should not determine the service I receive. Disgusting.

This place is well lay out, staff is friendly. Was looking at strollers and car seat for Nuna brand. Staff was helpful and great customer service. He helped me bring var seat to my car without carrying it myself. For same price as other stores, i will definitely recommend shopping at Nordstorm.

I went in to try a leather jacket. The salesperson Daytona was the worst salesperson I have ever encountered. She was not helpful at all, when she did finally find my size (xxs) in a store and after affirming it was Eaton center I managed to go there to pick up the jacket, however after getting there they have assured me that they never even spoke to her. I wasted my time and money because of a staff's unprofessionalism and carelessness. I am never setting foot in a Nordstrom again.
