If going to Nova Scotia and want to get there without alot of days traveled the cat is the way to go. They are first class.

The pre-boarding process was extremely easy and the staff was very friendly and helpful. But your best bet is make sure you already have reservations, it will save you some time. Being on a motorcycle, they board all the bike at the same time in the same area. The boat provides ratchet straps and the staff gives you the option to strap your own bike down or they will do it for you. Once on the boat, there is a decent selection of food and beverages. The food was extremely good, priced a little on the high side, but well worth it. The scenery was amazing. The ride was a very smooth ride and the debarkation was very easy as well. This is a great way to travel from Nova Scotia back to Maine.

Came to Yarmouth when the Novastar was still a thing. Had no issues going through the customs check.

Too expensive and the fact that a Canadian company only accepts American dollars, makes it unacceptable. I paid US$220 for me and my motorcycle one way and you must spend a night at mediocre hotel (in Yarmouth) that charges you over C$200 for one night, because the CAT departs at 8 am and boarding starts at 6:30. I will avoid it and drive thru St John next time.

Did Portland to Yarmouth. Beautiful boat, great service, easy on/off. Tie down points for motorcycles with cam straps provided! Check in was a breeze, the trip relaxing. Enjoyed my crossing.

Fast and friendly. The staff is very pleasant and the trip was very comfortable. This is a great way to cross the ocean from Nova Scotia to Maine. Food and drink prices are all reasonable and good.

Hello. Good riddance! I went to Nova Star Cruise driving all the way from New Jersey. They had a deal of 99$ for a car and 30$ per person. My friend and I had no better choice but to take the ferry thinking that it would be just like the Cape May Ferry from Cape May to Lewes. But nooooooooo! It ended up being 796$! This was round trip! If there was a category for zero stars, I would have picked this one. NEVERV AGAIN NOVA STAR!

The CAT was short one of its four engines, so the voyage took about an hour and a half longer. Upon exiting on the Portland side the customs wait was terrible... an hour and a half.

Great tourist location and the tourist center a few blocks from ferry was informative and staff was very friendly. Ferry from Portland was relaxing and fast.

Took the ferry from Portland to yarmouth . Two people and car one way just over 200. Very reasonable. There are some yarmouth people working on board ! All the staff I dealt with were 5 star .Very comfortable,excellent food .Hopeful that the Portland side can get A proper terminal with washroom and a place to get a water or coffee does not have to be fancy .Talked to many Americans in line and on board all were pleased and excited to travel throughout Nova Scotia .

Great place to work. Work with a local service provider for ferry. Terminal and Cat staff are friendly and knowledgeable with the Yarmouth area. I would highly recommend anyone looking to book a great weekend trip to plan a trip on cat for summer 2022. You will very much enjoy the crossing.

Everyone we spoke with was polite and helpful. The loading process was well organized and quick. Know that once you arrive you cannot leave the terminal (say to get coffee) so make sure you stop beforehand.

Took this ferry last summer in July 2016! Loved this ferry and it was sooooo relaxing!!! Sure hope that it will be there when I hope to go back again this summer in 2017!!! Support your local Yarmouth Ferry Terminal and go for a beautiful ride! It is clean and very nice inside. The crew was wonderful too!!!
