First time visiting the store & selling clothes! Process was easy - drop off clothes, fill out a form, wait for them to screen (?) & they’ll pay you cash. For me took about half an hour. Don’t expect you’ll get lots of money selling clothes - stuff they have in the store are very reasonably priced (some were around $1.99) and conditions are excellent. Will def revisit for my baby!

I always find great deals at the kids shoppe, some times the nwt items I find are ridiculously priced. 3 month dinosaur dress for 18.00.... sadly a bit much for even there. But that's few and far between.

We had a pretty unpleasant experience while in the store earlier today (from either the manager or owner herself, I think). While shopping for clothes, my 3 year old was playing with a truck from the toy section. We told him he could purchase a toy and that's the one he chose. She then came over and told us she didn't want us wasting the batteries so unless we planned on buying it to stop. I'm sorry but every time we are in your shop we drop around $100. You're telling me that my son can't play with a toy while I'm racking up a huge bill?? Oh and just to clarify, no one else was in the shop at the time and he was staying by me the entire time. If you don't want children to play with any of the toys maybe don't put batteries in them to begin with. Or better yet, don't run a children's store when you have issues with a child trying out a toy. I just can't believe that you would rather lose a customer who is constantly spending a lot of money there rather than replace batteries IF they happened to run out after playing with the toy for 20 minutes. Not very happy at all.

I have bought and sold to The Kids Shoppe many times before. Today I decided to go to Once upon a Child for the very first time, who happened to not be accepting certain sizes of clothing due to their large stock. I went to the Kidshoppe afterwards to see if they would buy my clothing as all my items were name brand. The lady working there was very nice when I dropped off my boxes as she squeezed me in since I was coming from out of town (Blenheim). I really appreciated this. However, when I returned she said “this is pretty awful” and was showing me the Once upon a Child paper attached to my box. She continued and said that they have very high standards, like Once upon a Child and said that I should have visited them first. My intention was not to go to The Kidshoppe second because of their “lower” standards as all my clothing was gently used name brand clothing, but to try to sell my items as the other store was not accepting all sizes. The Kidshoppe did not buy any of my items today and I felt as if I offended them. It didn’t seem she even looked through my items either. I don’t feel like I did anything wrong by going to two different stores. Also I didn’t purposely leave the other store’s paper on the box, however, it shouldn’t matter if I did. I love the idea of consigning and shopping for used clothing as it lets us make some extra money as well as it’s good for the environment. I will no longer support The Kidshoppe unfortunately. I felt embarrassed and upset after today when I really didn’t do anything wrong.

Great place to shop for kids clothing, the prices are fair and they have a great selection for every age. Why go to Walmart and pay $25 for no name toddler running shoes when you can come here and buy barely used or often times brand new name brand shoes still in boxes for $10-$15. We bought new in box New Balance shoes for my 2 year old that still had original sticker of $59.99 for $14. Kids grow so fast why waste your money. I have no affiliation with this place I just love the savings and it's reusing items instead of creating more waste which is always great.

Whenever I visit this store, they never greet me and one of the ladies always looks like she hates her job. The selection of used clothing is meh. I've seen items there with stains. I can buy new clothing on clearance elsewhere. The selection of new items varies and is well priced though.

Brought in some toys and little air hockey table when it was to me it was broken I asked why is it broken they couldn't give me an answer and they proceeded to try to blame me that I broke it when removing it out of the box never deal with this company they are a big scam in my opinion only taking new clothing and not deciding to take other clothing which they can clearly donate if necessary
