Highly recommend! Reasonable price and nice staff! Even we went there in non operating period, they tried as much as they could! Really appreciate it! And they have Virtual reality about Aurora which was awesome????

We are so happy that we found and used this company for our trip. We were able to rent good quality camping equipment at a reasonable rate. It was easy to arrange and the downtown Whitehorse location is very accessible. Highly recommend for camping adventures in the Yukon!

The rented arctic gear was PERFECT for our family of four! We arrived at the hotel and our gear was literally waiting for us at the check-in desk. The colors were different than the other tourist outfits, so we felt like we blended better with the locals. ;) We used the gear for all our Yukon adventures and never felt the cold! And we’re from Florida, so that’s impressive! We saved a TON of money and space in our luggage by renting. You guys are a class act. Upon departure, we simply placed the gear back in the provided bags and dropped at our hotel check-out desk. So simple!! If you’re planning a trip to the Yukon, THIS is the way to go!!! Cheers!!!!

THE BASE Outdoor Rentals played an integral part in making my trip to Whitehorse an amazing one. Kozue and Sugie are extremely nice, very friendly, accountable and trust-worthy. They are more customer-oriented as compared to the other businesses in Whitehorse who are profit-oriented. I was glad to remain warm while the others in my tour group (who rented winter clothing from other businesses) complained about the cold.

The Base outdoor rental is pretty useful, for an affordable price you can borrow some specific gear for hiking and camping. The staff there was super friendly, and helpful. There was no stress with the gear return. Two thumbs up would recommend!

Because of the kit you sent, we breezed through the Yukon cold over the last few days, including dog sledding and the wild life reserve amidst tons of snow, or looking for the Aurora Borealis at 2 a.m. Simply great gear. Highly recommend! We were a party of 4, all items felt new, well-maintained and matching MontBell clothing with Sorel boots. All sizes were as described. We were all right on the cusp between sizes and went for the bigger one and would have been fine either way. Very accommodating and nice couple who works there. We will be looking into buying those beanies because they were the fluffiest things ever! When we were there, temperature ranged from -1C to -22C and the clothings worked out very well. Thank you!

Great place! We were in -20 for the aurora viewing tours and we found the jacket and snow pants to be super warm, the boots as well. The sizes are on the larger side, especially for females so consider one size down for a snug fit. Overall great quality, the pieces looked impeccable and super great costumer service!

Does Whitehorse even get cold?? I can’t be sure given how warm I was in my Base rental gear. Great fit and great coverage for the chilly winter season, highly recommend for those exploring the outdoors. Bonus, you look a great team in matching jackets!
