What a wonderful place. Walking in the door you are immediately greeted by the welcoming feel of this place. The staff is help knowledgable amd friendly. Which is q blessing because there is SO much amazing stuff packed into this quaint little shop. There is truly is something for everyone, and with the owner constantly bringing in new local you'll want to check back often.

Simply a great place! The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They put in a specialty order for us with one of their suppliers and couldn't be happier with the end product. Would definitely recommend to check this place out as they will have something that you'll want to add to your home.

One of my absolute favourite shops in the lower mainland! Fair warning- it's hard to go into this store and not want to buy everything. Such friendly, welcoming and accommodating staff make for an awesome shopping experience every time ????. Keep up the amazing work handpicked home!

The handpicked home is all about local and supporting local. Two of the plaques on the wall read "by choosing local....." & "our vendors are passionate.....". Well said, and we found some gifts. This place has cheerful, tastful, items without being kitschy. My wife said "cute" but that's a word I would not use. The staff was very pleasant and just plain happy to be working in her favorite store. Thanks and we'll be back....

I visited this store to shop for a specific soap my wife loves. It was for a gift so I wanted to quickly sneak to the store and home I showed up at 9:55, the store opened at 10:00. It was cold and drizzling rain outside. The person opening the store ( owner?) showed up at 10:10. When I attempted to follow her in, she informed me “were not open yet, I have to set up”. I advised, you were to open 10 minutes ago, I will shop while you “set up”. Bought the soap as I needed the gift. Moving forward I will buy the soap on- line from the manufacturer I will not shop here again. Treatment was rude and dismissive.

I really want to love this local, unique shop. Unfortunately, my recent experience left me feeling unwelcome. Yes, I entered the shop with a coffee cup in hand. The owner abruptly scolded me without so much as a “hello”. I would have been happy to leave my cup at the counter while I browsed but that wasn’t good enough for her. She preferred to speak to me in a demeaning way and point out a sign on the door that prohibits food and drink. Honestly, I had not stopped to read all the info on the front door, nor was I out to ruin anything in the shop - or my shopping experience. There was a much better tone the owner could have used that would have corrected my faux pas while still being warm and welcoming. I cannot imagine that her business is thriving to the point she can drive customers away. Great gift ideas. Snarky owner.

The Handpicked Home is an absolute GEM. It’s full of unique, thoughtfully chosen, locally made goods. This shop is the first place I go for gifts and cards and gifts from here are always well loved by their recipient s:) Piya is one of the loveliest humans you will ever meet, she has a true passion for customer service and will go above and beyond to help you find that something special you are looking for. The shop is packed full of beautiful things and Piya knows every single piece in there. An important consideration since the shop is small, max capacity is two people, so you may have to wait your turn but I promise it is well worth the wait! If I could give this place ten stars I would!

Felt unwelcome the moment I walked in the door. I had received a gift which I promptly (within a week) brought back unused and with tags. I explained I was looking for something similar and the sales women simply said, "I don't have anything like that". I asked to do an exchange and she refused without a receipt because she couldn't look up the price. I don't know how a business operates without an inventory of products and prices but I won't be back due to the snarky unhelpful service.

I went into this store yesterday and the lady working (Piya I believe her name is, who is also the owner) gave the absolute worst customer service. She was rude, condescending and made me feel like I was very unwelcome in her store. I love shopping local because of the great customer service and lovely people that I meet through it... if you don’t want your view of local shopping to be tainted, then I HIGHLY suggest avoiding this store at all costs. There is no way this woman should be running her own store.

I went here a couple of months ago when I was on maternity leave as I needed to do an outing a day to keep my sanity going. As a new mom, I was super scattered and tired and probably snippy and the person working there was so kind the whole time and available and knowledgeable when I had questions. I ended up buying a really cool room spray and a locally made sign as a present and to this day I think it's one of the best presents I've bought someone.
