I had great customer service here from two different gentlemen on two different occasions. I came in about a month before my wedding to get the guys' ties and they both had a great and similar suggestion, which I followed; the ties are priced pretty much the same as every where else and are of good quality. They were both friendly and chatty as well, and did not have any pretentious air about them. My father's girlfriend also was given great tips by the one gentlemen about where to shop in the area for formal attire. I would go back here in the future for sure!

I received awful service here. The story is long, essentially: the clerk wouldn't redeem the full amount of the Conestoga Mall gift card (what!?) and then wouldn't refund the gift card when I decided, in disappointment and frustration, to bail on the purchase. I didn't realize that the refund wasn't performed until it was declined in another store. I had to go back to Stars and was met with the same incompetence as before, as I had to argue and insist on a refund. The clerk was unprofessional in such a profound way that I was actually confused by the experience. The two stars in this review are for the other clerk who stepped in to refund the card while the original clerk was still flipping through a drawer full of unorganized receipts, who was still hunched over as I walked away.

I visited this store months ago to look at purchasing 8 suits. I spoke with a gentleman there who was insistent that I buy from them, and when I stated that they didn't have exactly what I was looking for, he said that their stock would be changing in a week and I should come back. He then had the specifications of what I was looking for written down and asked for my phone number to call me when they got new stock. 1 week later I got a call, and when I asked if they had the new stock, they said no. I told them to not call until they received the new stock that met my criteria. This gentleman then called me 4 times over the next 2 weeks. I finally told him to stop calling, and that if I was interested I would stop in again. Just 2 weeks later he calls me again, so I told him I wasn't interested and told him never to call again. 2 days later, guess who called! I blocked the number. The very next day, I get another call from an unknown number and so I let it go to voicemail. AGAIN the same person called me from another number and even stated "you must have blocked my number" I called the store and asked that this person, or any other person from the store is not to call me and they ensured me it wouldn't happen again, and that the phone number would be deleted. Then 2 months later, they call again (let it go to voicemail). Once again the same person is asking when I'll be in and that i should call them if I'm interested in setting up a time to come. 3 days later, they call again, now with a different number and I answer. I had to tell them I bought the suits elsewhere.. Hope this harassment ends.

I purchased a suit from here soon before a wedding I was in, the sales person neglected to put a clip on the pants to hold them on the hanger. When I was walking to my car the pants fell into a puddle in the parking lot. Aggregating to say the least.

Amazed with how quickly they found a suit for me. They could tell my size just by looking at me, and from my brief description of what I was looking for they found a suit that was perfect for me on the first try. Now I am an owner of a nice new Calvin Klein suit. Good customer service and nice options available. Worth a visit!

Went there to shop for my wedding a little while back...we picked out the tie we liked and we were told that they could order it for us and that the rest of the ties would be in a few days later, and that they'd give us a call. When we had no call a week later, I called and was told they hadn't come in yet, but they'd for sure be in the following week. Same thing again. After following up a few times myself, we ended up getting our apparel elsewhere. We never got a call from them as they had promised, and I suspect they never even ordered the ties for us in the first place! A man who was working there was very rude to us while we were there.

Was looking for my fiance and 6 other guys and had prices from another company and the older gentleman said he could beat the pricing I was given and but at the time stars was much more bout $100.. he than proceeded to tell me he would call me in the next 24hrs for a better deal but I never got that call.. He was alright but felt like he didnt want to talk to me.

If you’re going to go here, make sure to plan to go after 11 AM because they usually don’t open until then. Their hours seem to be different than the rest of the stores in the mall, super weird! I’m giving 3 stars because I wanna give a shout out to Maria who is the alterations lady who has worked there for like 15 years, she rocks!

This is a great store! I'm always impressed with the service from the associates and they have quite a bit of selection (compared to the Fairview mall location). As far as men's shops go Stars has good sale prices on great brands as well as up to date and trendy styles. I will always be a regular customer here.

Ben called me asking me if I’m interested in trading my moose knuckle jacket for the gold version of the jacket I agreed and showed up a week later only to wait 2 hours in the mall and being told that my jacket isn’t tradable even though there was absolutely nothing wrong with it and was only worn once. Absolute waste of time.

Wonderful experience. I went in to get a suit for a wedding and the representative I spoke with was nothing but exceptional. Every question for coordinating an outfit was answered without any attitude and was extremely helpful. I will be returning when I need to purchase more shirts pants etc for any other occasion I may have. The prices are quite good and they will always find a suit that meets your budget needs.

I had asked a employee to help me out while the regular assistant manager who was not in at that time, who helped my groomsmen party out with our suits ( he was rude, and being very sarcastic, he did not help us out because he was in a rush to help other customers out. Weither you are, or not getting commission sales from any customer sales you should treat every customer with the same value and respect.) Also store employee's should not promise that the suits will meet certain due dates if they can't keep them. My groomsmen suits came in three weeks after due date. Alterations were horrible, I did not get to try my suit until my wedding day. The jacket was super loose, and baggy (it was almost as if they had no time for alterations so they passed it saying it was.) luckily through connections my suit was altered within a couple hours before my wedding. I don't recommend this place to any of my family or friends, or any future customers. What a horrible experience. If not for the tailor who helped alter my suit within that small span of time, wedding photo's would have been ruined for me and all my groomsmen. Thank you (M's Tailor - Cottage Grove)

I've been shopping here on/off for about 5 years now. Although the price tags may sometimes appear to be high, you're paying for quality. I also love the fact that the staff provide a really great level of service. Even if I don't buy something on my visit, I always feel as though I was given the same level of attention as if I was buying a wedding party worth of clothes.

Very poor customer service. Staff had inconsistent information regarding when shipments arrived; I had to come 3 times to pick up a suit because they could not give me an accurate date. Middle-Eastern gentleman extremely rude and treats customers as inferior, even when they spend 400 dollars on a suit. Do not recommend at all, the Bay is a better option.

I have used this store for the last time! I went in to purchase suits for my wedding party. Ben was very helpful and should be given a raise. Jim however was a complete disaster. Very wordy but not excessively truthful. He Bragged up their tailor. I got fitted for a suit but the pants were three sizes too large. He promised that the pants would fit well with alterations. Not so. The pockets are 2 inches towards the back of the pants. This is after their second try at altering them. The coat alterations were of shoddy quality and they wanted to be paid in cash so there is no refund. All around not a good experience!

Went here years ago to buy some formal wear. The saleswoman was aloof, pretentious and unhelpful. I was ready to buy a couple of shirts and she disappeared with another customer. I waited for a long time before tossing the shirts away and walking out. Bought something of better quality elsewhere.

My last experience in this store was very unpleasant. I went to buy a couple of suits from them recently and I was shocked by the poor customer service that was shown by one of the staff there. I believe he is a new employee, because the manager whom I've dealt with before is very courteous and professional. When I was looking around, this particular employee kept on avoiding me and when I needed an assistance I approached him and asked if he works there (I wasn't sure because he never offered to help, and I suspected the he might be a customer). When I asked him whether he works there, he gazed at me and responded in a very passive aggressive tone "what do you think?!!" while pointing at his clothes (btw, he wasn't wearing any special uniform or name tag, just regular clothes). I was very surprised by his behaviour and immediately decided to leave the store without buying anything. It is very unfortunate because this store was one of my favourites as it is very close to where I live, and they have good deal on their merchandise sometimes.

Went as a wedding back in December, purchased 7 suits with no discount given even when we mentioned we would be back in a few months for another wedding. Even had to pay for alterations for every suit. Tried to return a brand new, in the bag tie but it was past the "seven day" return policy and was only offered store credit. What happened to 30 days... Save your money and get a custom suit from Moore's for $400 with 40% off shirt, ties and shoes.

Got 5 suits from here for a wedding party. Overall experience was very disappointing. Staff had no idea what suits, shirts and ties to give when we came to the store. One person was given the wrong colour tie, one the wrong size shirt didn't even fit. The suits were out of style and did not fit anyone nicely. Paid for expensive alterations which did not help much with the appearance. In the end the suit cost nearly 400 and I likely wont wear it again.
