I visited Big Sun in June and have been meaning to post a review. I needed a new swimsuit and was not really looking forward to the trip as I had recently put on a few pounds!! I was instantly made to feel at ease by Jamie. Jamie brought a selection of suits which suited my shape perfectly and gave rme her honest opinion of each one. I purchased a suit I would never have chosen for myself but I absolutely love it and feel wonderful when wearing it. The quality is amazing. I will definitely be back and honestly dont think I will go swimsuit shopping anywhere else ❤️

My first time experience here was wonderful, great customer service, very clean, great atmosphere, and their Open Sun tanning bed was awesome! For first time clients you pay $3 and get to try all their beds in 3 sessions over the course of a week. So only a dollar a session! Definetly coming back.

I heard that there was a bad review on here so I decided I needed to come and also put in a review because this is the best place in Vernon! So if you read that review, you can go ahead and ignore it because there were multiple witnesses who can vouch for Lisa and her amazing team. I don't even know where to begin... They call it retail therapy and IT IS SO ACCURATE! When I go into Big Sun, it truly is uplifting on a bad day. These ladies care so much about this store and the people who walk in their doors. I can walk in and be brought into the conversations going on like I am family. It is the only place I buy bathing suits from because I hate suit shopping with a passion but they somehow make it so freaking fun and leave me feeling confident!!!! The stuff they bring is in all AMAZING and though can be pricey, is worth every penny. From the product quality to the shopping experience, this place is seriously my favourite! I work a few doors over so I go in there too much for my wallet's own good but they are the best neighbours ever! They are so much more than a beach shop. They are love and happiness in the form of a store. If you still aren't sold, just go follow their instagram and follow along on the daily sagas with Lisa G on their stories. She really is a great human being and pours her heart and soul into this shop and community, even when she has a tough day. Wow, made to feel like an animal! Terrible service, barked at within seconds of walking in to wear a mask. I stated I am medically exempt and have COPD. I was refused service and the owner herself tells me “this is my store and I can refuse to allow you in” even though I stated I have a medical exemption. With the fires and smoke my lungs have been struggling and instead of being understanding of me, I was treated like a dog and yelled at to leave. Since when do we not allow someone who suffers a medical condition to enter the premises? Since when is having a medical condition means to put down and treat someone like their business isn’t wanted? If I had been in a wheel chair this would be a totally different story. Really disgusting and vile behaviour. Sad. Also want to add. This happened when the mask mandate was down for Vernon.

Was very disappointed that I couldn't shop in this store as we did not have masks or were willing to wear one as the face masks mandatory have been lifted.
