My dogs and I did 2 series of online classes with Sarah, a basic good manners class, and a more advanced class to deal with issues around people coming to the door, barking at delivery people, greeting guests, etc. It was life-changing! We all learned so much in both class series. My dogs are so much better behaved and I learned how to shape their behaviour to make everyone more relaxed and happy living together. I can't say enough good about Sarah, her teaching style, and the effectiveness of her methods (which are 100% positive, no negative reinforcement). I am eager to see what further classes Barks & Recreation has to offer. We will definitely be signing up.

Great business. I attended a puppy class, and had my puppy in a social. The trainer is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and is giving us a solid foundation for training our dog. The store seems to carry everything - even birthday cakes for dogs! Highly recommend for supplies, training, or socializing your dog.

We are so excited to be able to visit Barks and Rec again for all our puppy needs. We first used their services about ten years ago with our first dog. We purchased all our dogs goodies (food, toys leashes) from them. We were able to do the puppy school and even some one-on-one training with Sarah. The time she spent with us through all our puppy needs is still with us all these years later as we are training a new puppy. BUT one of our favorite services they offer is, doggy daycare. Our new puppy just had her first half day and it was amazing! She was so tired and calm after. Looking forward to many more years of service from Barks and Rec.

Absolutely amazing staff!! Just took my giant mastiff/cross dog in to the groomers. I’m always nervous as he can be a lot to handle. The were amazing with him! When I came and got him he was so relaxed and calm and better yet clean as a whistle!!! Wont trust anyone else with my fur baby!! You guys rock!

Mags has been for grooming twice now at Barks and Recreation And we will definitely be coming back. While he’s normally a nervous little fellow, he didn’t mind his salon experience at all. His appointment was relatively quick compared to other groomers and he looked super cute and happy with himself.

I did a 4 week online puppy zoom class with Sarah due to COVID19. Although not the ideal situation, I felt the class was very helpful in getting the obedience basics down, different ways to socialize our puppies, problem solving for any issues or challenges my puppy was having. Her library of videos were a great help to see how we should train them. In addition, she was flexible when we had a cancellation to allow a make-up, as well as offering any help after our course was finished...should questions arise. My puppy is getting a great start. Thank you Sarah!

We bring our big senior dog here for his grooming. The groomer is great with dogs, and unlike other places we've gone in the past, our pup doesn't hate coming back here. The groomer doesn't make our old guy get up onto a table or anything which I'm certain he appreciates. We drop him off and come back a few hours later to find a smiling pup that smells good and is usually sporting a stylish new bandana. Our dog also seems to not have issues here when they trim his nails unlike some other places we've been to
