The tour itself should take you between 45-60mins and costs 10$ per person tx. incl. It's definitely worth going there since you'll learn a lot about Springhill's history. If you get Tony as your guide, you'll be in for a ride since he knows his stuff. Bring a lite jacket cause it can get pretty chill in the mine.

Ron Parrish

No explanation of options and said our child can’t go. Didn’t say if he was too young.

Springhill is known for mining. Experience the story and work of miners. My grandfather and Uncle both worked as miners in Springhill, it was important to know what they experienced. ????

a lot on information about the miner's work, life and what happen in the history of the mine -it cost 10$ to enter and it include a guided tour. our guide was tony, excellent guide and was able to answer pretty much all our questions. the entire visit will take around 1h max maybe 1h30 if you read every newspaper on the wall. Suggestions: bring a good pair of shoes forget the sandal you will go down 300 feet in the mine. they provide helmet maybe bring a vest if you're sensitive to cold

Very interesting if you know nothing or very little about mining. You actually go down into the mine to see what it was really like as a miner.

The staff was very friendly, the visit was about 45 min. They show us the replicate of the workers barracks and the equipment they used. They have many original gear on site. One of the guides was very young but he knew his stuff very well and answered all of our questions. We also get to walk in the mines itself witch I loved, you get a better feeling of the working conditions in the mines. I would recommend this place anytime!

Informative visit! A bit tricky for tall people to decend into the mine, but everyone puts on a hard hat for that portion of the tour. Would recommend this opportunity.

The story behind it. How it's a true part of our heritage. Wonder why nobody has written a book OR movie script about it based on a true story.... I just might if I get the time. Lol
