This is my go-to place for groceries, as the PC credit card/PC points program makes it possible for me to save about $40 a month shopping here. This place allows you to price match, which also helps reduce your grocery bill. The free cookies for kids at the bakery is great too. However, the store is crowded most days with long line-ups during the week (weekends they guarantee all registers to be open), and the quality of the produce usually ranges from fair to horrible. A lot of the sale items are usually picked-over if not gone when you go to look for them. Clearly a lack of adequate planning and/or staffing on the part of management.

This is a very good superstore. It is very large and has an excellent selection. Beer and cider are available for sale at this store. While it is usually quite busy here they keep a large number of checkout lanes open and have quite a few self checkout terminals so you don't spend much time waiting to check out.

This is a great place to shop for groceries. It also has a lot of variety of baked goods and sugary sweets that always get the best of me whenever I go there to buy 'just milk'. The odds that the produce isle is ravaged is 80%. There is almost never a time I come here and don't have to double up going to another store to get some simple like zucchini, basil, peppers, cilantro, mushrooms. There are not special items, but they are almost always out of one of not all of them.

get your on sale swimwear for Liard hot springs, stock up on Canadian exclusive chips and cadbury candy, get some jerky and five hour energy for the road at a decent price. Parking lot big enough to turn a truck and trailer around in and easy to get in and out of, with the far out parking spaces usually empty enough so you can park like schmuck and take a bunch of spaces. Ketchup and all dressed chips, Mr. big bars, and maple cookies loaded into the truck and you're on your way.

Too spread out and flow of the store doesn't make sense. Have to walk all the way to customer service to get a basket which doesn't even carry well. I've been to Independent grocers down south and they are more modern, renovated and present way better. Some staff are polite but in my opinion others have been there too long and provide poor, unfriendly customer service.

Up until today I haven't had any problems at this location. I would go often with my boss to pick up supplies for our workplace, as well as to pick up groceries for home. The store is usually clean, well stocked, and the staff is typically much friendlier than most of the other large chain grocery stores in town. Today was the first problem I ever had at this Superstore Location. They have a bin of rugs at the back of the store, and I am currently furnishing my first apartment that I am moving into - so I thought it was perfect. The prices listed on the bin were: 3 x 4 Rugs for $25 5 x 7 Rugs for $35 6 x 9 Rugs for $55 So I grabbed a 5 x 7. I was a little surprised that it was so cheap, and I looked around the box maybe 4 or so times just to make sure there wasn't another tag on it that said something like "these select 5 x 7 rugs for a way higher price", but there wasn't any tag on the box except the three I listed. Sure enough, I get up to the front and it comes up as $65 rather than $35. Yet there hadn't been a single tag that listed a $65 price on the box, which I told the girl. She called a price check and said that the person in the home department found it tagged and listed at $65. So I take it off the bill, because I am on a tight budget and can't afford to pay an extra $30 for a rug that I expected to get for $35 total. I go to the back, and sure enough there is now another tag on the box that lists those specific 5 x 7 rugs for $65. I should have checked the barcode to confirm, but since there was only one tag listing 5 x 7 rugs I didn't even think to do so. I don't know if the tag had fallen on the ground, or into the bin, or if the employee did a price check and then put a new tag that listed them as $65 - but at the time I was looking there were only those three specific tags. I love this store and have shopped here pretty much since immediately after it opened, but now I just feel cheated and manipulated to the point that I don't even want to go in for groceries because I feel like I was taken advantage of. Rather than admitting "we made a mistake, yes it was a different barcode but we see why you would have gotten confused since it was the only 5 x 7 rug listed" the staff rushed to cover up the mistake by putting up a new tag. Don't take this as any reflection on the girls up front, because they weren't there. If the person in home looks at the rug, checks the price and realizes it is $65 but the tag isn't there and then rushes to replace the tag, or find the tag - it is no reflection on the girl up front. Because all she hears through that phone is "Yep, it's listed as $65" even though there wasn't a tag that said so. The girls up front are amazing, helpful, and friendly and I don't want them to get in trouble for someone else's actions. I don't really even want to get the person in home in trouble either, but I just think it is wrong when a mistake is made that deceives customers and someone rushes to cover it up - and as someone who works as a waiter I think it is just horribly poor customer service. That would be like if I told a customer that a certain meal was on for $10, but listed the wrong meal and the one I told them was on for $10 actually costs $20 and then I make them pay the full price even though it was my mistake. I absolutely hate complaining, but in the end I don't think I am going to be returning to this Superstore for the rest of my apartment shopping, both for groceries and home items, because I just feel wronged and manipulated.

Love to shop there but racks and shelves were once empty leaving me disappointed. It's good for grocery, drugstore makeup and skin care, household, clothing, kitchen appliances and kids toys... I like the cleanliness of this place. It's always very well organized. It has two public washrooms. Two single handicapped ones in the lower level and more upstairs. Accessible entrances and a huge parking lot. Very similar to the nice Supersotores in Toronto. They have a self checkout section and cashiers are nice.

However I am so tired of the new pricing gimmicks. buy two for a lesser price or more for one. why would anyone buy two cans of ...black beans when you only need one? why would I want to increase my costs just to be a a 30 cent off deal. enough already! Give me fair prices for my groceries and cut the buy two cheaper deals. I will be changing stores until o hear this pat time is stopped.

My wife and minor student went to this store a week ago Tuesday. A customer in line became very hostile and threatening. Yelling every four letter word to both my wife and student. My wife asked immediately for security and store manager, which the staff refused. The staff then had the nerve to tell my wife if she didn't stop asking they would phone the police and have them detained. Phones head office, their facebook page, and talked with an assistance manager who assured me that the manager would call back. He tried the next day but I was at the doctors with my wife over the incident. He left a VM that he would call back and did not. Customers should be aware that their staff is poorly trained in providing assistance or calling store security. The man was waiting outside the store when my wife left and once again verbally assaulted her. Interesting that Galen Weston can send our emails on how great there doing during this time, but in reality you are UNSAFE in some of their stores. Now over a month and no one has contacted me, the manager just does not care what goes on at this store.

It's my go to place for grocery shopping, mostly because the selection is usually good and even if it's a bit pricier, I collect PC points from gas and it's a good way to spend them. If Saint Thomas got a No Frills, I would likely shop there as it's a bit cheaper, but this location is always clean, usually stocked well and pretty quick. My biggest problem with this place is the people who leave their shopping carts on the grass beside their parking spot because they are too lazy to put it away. Don't be one of "those" people, y'all!

RESTOCK YOUR SHELVES!!!!!!!! I have NEVER shopped at a grocery store where so many shelves sit empty of the same products for so long. And, naturally, many are items regularly on my list. It seems that new stock may be added, sells out immediately, and then it takes a month or more (over multiple grocery days for me) before the stock is replenished!! Aggravating! If it wasn't for collecting PC points and generally lower prices, I would switch to Metro.

All of the bread baked at the store comes in plastic packaging. There is no choice for the consumer to buy bread in paper bags. Plastic is by in large not actually recycled, even when you put it in your recycling bin. This is because China stopped accepting our recycling, and the whole plastic recycling economy crashed. Plastic bags also make the crust go soft faster. I, like many Canadians, enjoy crusty bread and waterways free of plastic bags. Its not very Canadian of Real Canadian Superstore to exclusively sell a product which ends up polluting Canada's backyard, don't you think?

Truly a great and fitting name "superstore"...this place has everything and even has tons of allergy friendly options that are priced extremely well and even cheaper than Southeast Alaska. There are also great pre-made options to eat, including a great garbanzo bean salad. Needless to say went here quiet a bit and didn't even get to try the local restaurants.

I like this store and using my PC Financial card is nice to use and gain points. But....there are too many products on the shelves and on the end displays that have no prices. I refuse to buy anything that isn't priced. This is very frustrating to see a big "Great Price" sign with no price. I shouldn't have to watch my items scanned at the checkout to see what this "Great Price" is, besides I'm bagging my own groceries and there always is someone behind me anxious to go through. Frustrating!! There are too many missing prices to mention. Please fix this!

A terrible experience at Superstore In Whitehorse. A lot of shelves were empty, there was dirt and filth all over the floors, the bulk foods dept have no cards to mark price or item number and staff didn't know where to find item cards. We normally shop Superstore in Vernon, BC and we are very pleased with the Vernon store. Our experience with the Whitehorse store tells us to never return to Superstore.

I went to this store because I was told they had a Dr Scholl’s custom fit machine to measure my feet for shoe insoles. After using the machine it showed me I needed a specific insole. Unfortunately there were none in the rack so I approached a sales assistant that was stacking the shelves. I approached her and asked if she had any new stock in her boxes she was unpacking. She basically told me she didn’t know and didn’t have time to look. Feeling a little out of place I decided to go to customer services. I asked there if they could check if they had stock in the store. The young lady made a phone call and the information she received was if there were any they would be on the shelves. That’s pretty much my experience in Real Canadian Superstore in Penticton today. Thanks for your assistance today I’ll be sure to remember not to use this store again.

They used to have a wonderful international section. Now the shelves are filled with vegetable oil, Sriracha sauce, a few snacks and not much else. Our trip to the produce section for celery resulted in the most appalling, mingy, broken dog ends of celery we have ever seen. We won't be back. We were able to find raw kombucha so 1 star.

I wish I could give this place a higher rating. I actually really like Superstore. However this store has two terrible issues. First of all they are often sold out of very common ingredients. About 50% of the time I'll go shopping here massive parts of the produce section are just empty. Its. And often they don't cary certain common ingredients. The store is also fairly expensive so im not really sure what you are paying for.

I was pleasantly surprised that Whitehorse had a RCS. I was very happy that the prices were the same or comparable to Toronto. The store is huge with an excellent selection. The staff is friendly and helpful. Aside from groceries, I bought an outdoor vest which was on sale. Interestingly enough I couldn't find it In the Greater Toronto Area. Go figure. If you're heading up north of Whitehorse it's a good idea (read - GREAT IDEA) to stock up on groceries. The prices can be very high up there.

This store had some serious staffing issues, I was considering not even bothering with them anymore, but they stepped their game up big time. The click and collect actually picks you good quality items, the people who bring your order are nice and funny and bring you treats some times, way better than it used to be. I used to use their list of items that were unavailable as a grocery list to go inside and get myself... it was a bit pathetic. But it's changed. Very happy.

Went on Saturday...they had no limes! Wanted to buy some chicken and all they had out was the club packs which is way too much for us.....so I went and asked at the meat department if they had any smaller packs of chicken......No.....they only had the club packs!! A generally well stocked and clean store. One issue I find is that they usually have large orders of bread in stock, but it is quite frequently close to it's expiry date. I don't claim to be a bread ordering expert but maybe less late orders that expire before it's sold and more frequent small orders.

Good selection, almost always have some sort of sale going on, I really like the layout of the fruit and veggie area, has an aisle for the healthy people (organics, vegans, vegetarians, etc), and lots of refrigerated items - and I mean lots. I always have an idea of what I want when I walk into this store, and usually walk out with more than my original thought - I'm not a smart shopper - but it's an indication of the good selection available here.

A honest review. The store is big and wide. There’s a pharmacy, clothing and all the food you need and want. Prices are usually good compared to smaller local store. The big thing that make this place loose points in my book are the price accuracy. Every time without exception, for 50$ of groceries, there will be 2 to 3 items witch the price is higher when scan then annonce on the shelf. And I have looked many times, the law in Canada oblige the store to give you the item free if under 10$ after being scanned, not paid. Keep notes because the cashier will argue like if it would be her money ...

I was paying with debt card but I completely forgot my password on this particular card and this card, I did not arrange "tapping"..... Also other debt card I had did not cover the total cost... I tried to remember few pass word I could think of but none, worked. I was getting so flustered. I ended up using all PC Optimum points to pay. I should done so instead of trying to think of my pass word. Just because I wanted to save up the points more I cause Debbie more than few minutes of try this and that... The staff is very friendly and the store is huge. It's wheelchair accessible. The prices are competitive and they have deals often. Don't forget some change; the carts cost 1 dollar to rent here. You also need to tell them during your purchase how many bags you would like. Sometimes the cashier will help you bag your stuff but usually it's up to you. There is also a clothing area (George brand), an area to purchase small around the house knick knacks like candles or kitchen stuff, and a toy aisle.

My go to grocery store. Many times i can find what i'm looking for. And they even price match with many other stores. I use their card and even fill up my gas with them and they always scan my card for points which after awhile turns into money. Spend and make money back to spend. Genius idea! Very busy place though. Parking can be a pain sometimes. I suggest parking far. Carts are left everywhere and they are not responsible if one wacks your car.

I find it outrageous that this place had a hep a issue for a SECOND TIME with a personal working at the deli and that customers who bought meats and cheeses could of been at risk of getting sick. You would think that after the first one you would of asked these questions or taken more precaution to bring in someone else with better screening. Never going to shop here again if this store can't even keep it's safety procedures in order.

I was disappointed right at the start. The entrance and exit were dingy and dirty, as were the bathrooms. The store itself was quite disorganized - I had to go up and down different aisles to find things that should have been somewhere else. There were also A LOT of empty spots, especially for high wanted items and for such a big store, the selection was minimal. However, the good points were the employees, they were friendly. The Home, Clothing and Meat department were all organized and clean, with a good selection and prices. And where-as this is no fault of the stores, the other customers were 90% jerks. There are too many other choices in Penticton for groceries to feel tethered to this particular store. Too bad, I like the points.

I absolutely love the Real Canadian Superstore for my shopping. You can't beat their bakery price's, especially fresh bread for $1 a loaf. Their hot deli offers great selection if you don't feel like cooking that night. Just grab and go without breaking the bank. Great health food section for those of us who are vegan and so forth. The fresh goat's milk is a favourite in my house and never last s. I wish I could give 5 star's however...The point's rewards are pretty much Nil now that they merged with shoppers drug mart. Rarely do I rack up any points as I once had. ALSO I wish they would get in special requests for certain food's. I've tried in the past and I keep getting told they will and then nothing. Great store. It's very large with a lot of selection. Good international foods isle. Some products come in larger quantities as well, so some bulk items available. Prices are on level with other independent grocers, with the bulk items being cheaper per unit. It's $1 deposit for the cart. You get it back when you return it. Try the chicken wings from the Meals to Go. They're crispy and delicious.

Shopped right after the Easter holidays, looked like that may of been the reason somethings hadn't been removed. Most of the staff are great but it seems like every time we go there their shelves are pillaged and it has a apocalyptic feel. The fruit and veggie section is usually pretty good but most items are bruised and root the next day. Whatever you do, do NOT online shop with them for groceries!!! We placed a 1200.00 order and instead of notifying or asking us they just automatically substituted or left off things. We had to return ALL the fresh fruits and veggies as most was rotten and the fresh meat had a weird smell

Horrible with covid-19 social distancing protocols in the store. No arrows on floor to indicate one way traffic, people not keeping their distance from other people. I am pleased with the stores supply and constant restock. I am not a huge fan with the customer service table. I have been neglected time after time and will never be treated nicely. I am a pleasant customer and never cause or start anything, however, one time I tried to return a product I have just purchased in front of the customer service table and was told to wait 45 minutes because she was “busy” she then proceeded to walk and joke with another coworker upstairs minutes after.

We ordered ahead for Express Pick up and arrived on time and checked in on the phone making sure to explain we were collecting two orders for the same time slot. We were told there would be a short wait. A number of other customers arrived after us and left with their orders. After 30min we called again for an update. The calls would not go through a number of times before finally getting through it was clear our order had been forgotten. After over 40 minutes we received one order that had a number of items missing. We had to explain and ask for the second pick up order which then took another 10 minutes. A huge waste of our time which was the purpose of the pick up. Staff were unapologetic and seemed uninterested in making it right. We won’t be back.

Asked a staff member if he could help me find the nasil pods for the navage, which I bought there. The clerk " Dan" said immediately we don't carry those and waved his hand at me to go away. I continued to look for them,and found them. I went back to Dan the superstore employee and said I thought you don't carry them. "Oh" he said and then asked me where I found them. I told him to find them himself! Then I mentioned it to customer service and her response was "that's not his area"...And Dan doesn't know how to ask another employee for help. Love this location. Lots of parking/carts available. Aisles are nice and wide AND they have an insanely large deli section. If you’re a cheese fanatic like myself you can easily get lost in the sauce of their cheese selection. Their bakery section is also huge. They have a large variety of vegan/gluten free stuff as well if you need to dabble. They have a beauty section, an outdoor area and easily 15+ aisles of home goods. Their Joe Fresh section is always nicely stocked and tons of variety but is closed currently due to covid. Regardless, just overall a great location. Self checkout is always monitored, so if god forbid the machine decides to test your patience, there is always someone close to help you out. That’s what makes this a 5 star for me. Keep killing the grocery game you majestic establishment, you.

Probably the most complete supermarket outside of London, everything is here. Nice to see Joe Fresh, and wine on hand, as well as drycleaners, pharmacy, even healthcare. A solid store with a good selection and a very nice staff. This is my go to grocery store, and I love adding up what I save. Gave them a little deduction for the lousy Thursday selection.A little tip for the guy who thinks they are expensive. Had you read the news in the last couple of years you might have known and there was going to be a world wide spike in food prices of all kinds. And holey smokes they were exactly right. It will not be going down soon but the Superstore has nothing to do with it. 'I have been watching it for about 6 months now, a steady creep up. I could tell you your bananas are going to start to go up drastically soon and I am afraid, you won't be able to blame the superstore. Had you read the news you might know that there is a serious Banana virus that is slowing spreading around the world. The Monarch banana (that's what you buy in the stores) likely has less that 50 years left and scientists are furiously working on a virus resistant strain, with little luck so far ( a simple google will confirm this). Things are gonna change folks and by and large we ain't gonna enjoy it.

After years of price fixing on bread, they offer a 25$ gift certificate to compensate people for their fraudulent behavior, then proceed to request utility bill and drivers license copies to verify identities. The problem is that they're requesting the personal info from people who are PC Financial credit card holders and PC Insider subscription holders. MORE than enough info to verify identities. They're making no effort whatsoever to utilize any of their own data to verify the identity or address of people. Not impressed.

Extremley huge, clean, atmosphere that I'd well organized and divided, has everything your looking for, as well as 2 wheelchair accessible entrances with an opening straight to smell of fresh fruit and vegetable varieties as well as a nice large seating area to have lunch fresh from the deli and so much more. The second entrance leads to pharmacy opening with clothing and electronics in full view. Must go to all in one shopping even now with self checkout.

I love shopping there and earning PC points. The staff is friendly. What I like: Large selection of produce and other products Great cuts of meat that at times go on sale at reasonable prices Spacious aisles What they can improve on: Cutting the melons in the fresh fruit sections without the rinds Helping bag the groceries (sometimes there is no one else in line or both lanes are so full that the cashier can't pass through any other orders and yet SOME don't help with the bagging? Less emphasis on self- checkouts and quicker methods of cashing out with a cashier. The self checkouts are always available and there are always lineups at the other cashes- this is because people are demonstrating their preference and their voices should be heard Get rid of the interesting a looney or token system to make use of a grocery cart. The reason they mentioned was to curb theft but much like the self- checkout systems it also reduces the need for staff (to walk around the parking lot collecting the carts). I feel like if Superstore wants to maintain their reputation as a premium grocery store and not a No-Frills type destination, they should think about bringing back some of the above- mentioned frills.

This store is wonderfully stocked, clean, and has friendly, well-informed staff. Great prices, and product selection. Under normal circumstances, this store would easily be 5/5. Used to be my favourite place for weekly shopping for a household of 4. Unfortunately, they are not taking covid19 precautions seriously enough. On my last two visits, multiple shoppers are not wearing masks, and being allowed to wander the store and cash out alongside people trying to keep themselves safe. Additionally, one cashier isn't wearing a mask while cashing out customers, which will only encourage more customers to go mask-less if they see employees allowed to not follow policy. If the store was serious about protecting the public's health, and the health of their own employees, these people would be denied entry until they complied with the mask rule. I do think this is one of the best stores to do your weekly shopping at during normal times, but cannot say they are taking customer health seriously enough during this pandemic with what I've seen during my last two shopping trips.

Good place for groceries, Canadian Tire behind, M&M food store 2 doors down, Buck Or Two 3doors down, LCBO & Beer Store at the same spot. Pharmacy and clinic available in the Super Store and a small cell phone booth there as well!

There automated telephone system is a joke. Just wanted to find out if they were open on a holiday and it took like 5 minutes of listening to the same thing over and over before a costumer service rep picked up the phone. Apart from that it is a nice store, really fresh and quality ingredients and a wide selection. Their regular priced items are a little bit higher thank my liking though. Sales prices are usually decent.
