Annette’s bridal was the 3rd bridal store I visited when looking for wedding gowns and there was no comparison to any of the others when it came to friendly staff, organization and choices. Instead of selecting gowns for me, they had me go through the store and put a coloured hanger on all I wanted to try. Therefore, I was able to choose my own selections. When I chose my gown, the designer recommendation was 1 size higher than I had fitted. My consultant requested the size I tried on instead so that when it came in zero alterations were needed except the hem. I have never written a google review before but I was so impressed by the staff and my experience that I just had to because this business made my wedding experience beautiful. They also discounted my matron of honours’s dress because I bought mine there. Great job ladies!! Tammy Stokes

I walked into Annette’s Bridal last Thursday without an appointment – 7½ weeks before my wedding – and having neither knowledge of my current dress size nor an idea of the dress I wanted to wear for the planned destination wedding. I knew I had to find something ‘off the rack’ – relying on what is in stock, in my size, and more or less immediately available. This, not surprisingly, always limits the choices especially if the bride happens not to be a size 8 or 10. Megan, my consultant, was not only very understanding but also helpful and very patient. We eventually found a few dresses that met my criteria for a destination wedding and I made an appointment to come in with my sister and Maid of Honour the following Saturday. I didn’t find my ‘ideal’ dress at Annette’s BUT I walked away with a very positive experience and a very neat idea for my bridal bouquet! Thanks Team! …and Megan, I hoped you had a wonderful birthday!

Just had my first and only appointment at Annette's to find a wedding dress. I needed to find something OTR and there was still lots of selection! My bridal consultant was super friendly and the atmosphere was great! HOWEVER, when I tried the dress on for alterations, I noticed a lipstick stain and a rip in the dress. I was wondering why the dress was half off but I was never told there was anything wrong with it. It would have been nice to know ahead of time. Last time I checked Off the Rack didn't mean stained and ripped.

Disappointing experience! I had an appointment with Annette's Bridal yesterday to begin shopping for my wedding dress. The lady who "helped" me with selecting and trying on dresses seemed to not enjoy her job. She made me feel like I was inconveniencing her each time I would ask to try on another dress or look for a different style. I received little to no guidance or feedback from her. I understand that a staff member went home sick and so they were understaffed but that is no excuse for the service I received. The other staff member working seemed much more pleasant but she was helping another bride at the time. Overall, would not recommend this shop!

They booked a wrong appointment for my sister, Didn't try to make it work which I understand can't always be done. The front receptionist seemed dis interested and was on her facebook which is super unprofessional. Ended up going else where and finding a beautiful dress with over the top staff. Update: I finally got married and my dress was perfect for my big day. I bought it so long ago that I actually felt uneasy about it but as soon as I put it on ... It was perfect. So happy I came here!! ****************** My review below when I first shopped here: YOU NEED TO GO TO THIS PLACE FOR ALL YOUR WEDDING DRESS DESIRES. I can't even begin to tell you how much I love this bridal store (specifically I love Megan that works here, but the store is absolutely fantastic). So, planning a wedding is an emotional process and picking out a wedding dress is no exception. This was my first spot and I had zero expectations. I had been to a few other places for another friend of mine getting married (David Bridal, Best for Bride...etc) and this place truly sits at #1. 1) Everyone is so friendly and kind and my stylist Megan, was truly an angel (I'm sure the other stylists are angels to, but seriously, ask for Megan). Megan was so kind and sweet and everything you'd want when you're trying to find a wedding dress that compliments you in the best ways. I instantly told her it was my first time and she said that she would put me into every silhouette imaginable. She never tried to sell me over my budget and she was just very helpful. She made me feel comfortable and just gave me outstanding costumer service. 2) They have a PLETHORA of dresses. Ranging from $300 (there could be even cheaper ones), to $4000+. They have all types of styles, and everything in between. Its all well organized and I just felt I had a ton to choose from. 3) I ended up selecting this gorgeous dress (I'd say what it looks like but my fiance is very sneaky and I don't want him to read any details lol) and it was of course, above my budget (my fault, not Megan's). She could tell it was a bit out of the price range and said I could even buy the sample to save money and told me about other payment options available to me (it was nice of her to offer those options without asking). My mom was the superhero of the day as she paid for my dress but it was so nice of Megan to talk about money in a gentle way (since money can be touchy subject for people). When the transaction was over, I actually started to cry (not when I had the dress on because I think I was in shock that I found a dress that I absolutely love in every way ) and Megan offered a big hug. I can't emphasis enough how much I loved coming here. In the end, we purchased an absolutely beautiful dress that makes me feel like a million bucks and although it was out of my modest budget, it wasn't crazy expensive. They have beautiful dresses for reasonable costs and I am so grateful that my mom found such a wonderful place to have this great experience in (I've attached photos of our area, I went with my mom and my two younger sisters - I am 29 and my sisters are 15/16, so having them there was super fun).

I did not purchase my dress, but they were very easy to work with. Not pushing for higher priced items, even informing me when I chose items out of my predetermined price range. I was informed of different options for my dress which helped me in deciding what I wanted. They also gave me a bridal magazine and coupon for an upcoming wedding show. I had a great time here

Annette's Bridal offers a huge variety of gowns and accessories for many occasions! After searching many stores, we decided on a whim to go into a store that I thought would be extremely expensive (it has that elegant feel of brilliance!!)!! From the moment we walked into the door, we were AMAZED, not just at the selection, but by the reception we received as well! Allora Excellent was shy, nervous and at this point, a bit discouraged! We were shown many dresses, at amazing prices, but I new the second I saw this one of a kind dress, it was made for her! The ladies helping were so patient, helpful and kind I giving tips on styles and advice! I can't wait for an excuse to go back and shop there again! (Hint hint Jolene Samantha Poirier????????)

The customer service was very unpleasant. They were very pushy towards the end and forced us out. They also did not let the bride try on mannequin dresses. Also, commented on the bride-to-be being to "large" even though she is very small. Also there size selection is one dress one size, or order it and hope for the best.

Love this place!! The ladies are amazing friendly and just down to earth! They helped me find a dress that suited my personality and had just the right amount of bling!! I had found out I was pregnant just a few days after purchasing the dress, I made a call into the boutique to tell them and they made me feel so comfortable about everything! They assured me that the dress that I purchased was still going to be ok. When I went to pick up my dress the owner Annette took time to help me into m y dress and explain different alterations options that I can do if need be to my dress as my belly grows!! Prior to Annette's I went to may different places and by far I was the most comfortable here and would go back over and over again well for other dresses now and would recommend to any bride who is in need of that extra special TLC!! This visit was not the best by any means. When walking into the boutique we were greeted and everything seemed ok. As we were getting settled another bridal party walked in and that was the last time we saw the associate until we were leaving. Don’t bother making an appointment because you won’t be given the time of day. Not very helpful, and dresses are dated. Save your time and go to balletts next door!

I can't say enough positive things about the ladies and services I've received from Annette's Bridal. From helping me find my dream dress to personally calling me to inform me that the company who makes my bridesmaids dresses was making changes that the girls at Annette's didn't love and they wanted to make sure my girls got their dresses before these changes took place. My dress arrived three months earlier than anticipated and, despite my fear I may have ordered my dress too big, was a perfect fit minus a few basic alterations. Yet another thing the girls nailed for me. Offering to store my dress at $10 a month was also such an amazing thing for them to do. I was also given a deal on accessories for purchasing my dress the first day and used the credit to buy a one of a kind hairpiece that matched my dress perfectly. Megan and Gabby were the two who helped me the most and were absolutely wonderful. They made me feel like my wedding was the most amazing wedding they had ever heard of and they made me feel beautiful and amazing and not nervous at all. The rest of the staff, while I didn't get to work with them personally, are also extremely friendly and knowledgeable and would be a great choice for any woman looking for that special dress. I will always recommend Annette's Bridal. Thank you, ladies for making the most stressful thing hardly stressful at all.

I am so pleased with my shopping experience at Annette's! I went on 2 different occasions to browse and try on dresses, and on each occasion the ladies who helped me were outstanding. There was a large variety of styles so I was able to try out things that I might not have thought to otherwise. The ladies were so helpful, with great suggestions and tips, and having fun with me while I shopped. Even with my budget being on the low side, I had no problem finding a stunning dress! Picked up dress brought home didn't fit. Called number on receipt and had to ask if I was calling Annette's Bridal, as the phone wasn't answered in a professional manner. I asked again and was told this is Annette. I explained my issue that the dress doesn't fit and asked specifically where the waist measurements were taken. Waist measurements for dresses differ from pants. I've had waist measurements in the past taken above the belly button or slightly below. Annette had told me, "that it isn't ROCKET SCIENCE". I was floored and had to express my feelings to her by stating, I'm sorry but I had found that statement to be quite rude. It's not clear to me therefore, I'm asking. She said, just come in and we will look into it further and see what we can do. FIRST IMPRESSION was not favorable to say the least and this was via telephone. The next day I went into the store tried on the dress. It was clear the dress would not do up. I was asked to put on my other clothes and had explained that when I came in for the initial fitting I was presented two sizes that had fell between my dress measurements, a size 2 and 4. Immediately, she said the is IMPOSSIBLE that you were presented with a 2. That is IMPOSSIBLE that she would have told you that. It is IMPOSSIBLE that I can even fit into a size 6 dress based on current my measurements which yes increased slightly since the last fitting. No refunds, no exchanges. She was even taking my measurements wrong last night. She measured my chest size a 35 1/2 when I'm a 34. I told her I had only a heavily padded bar - that increases my cup size by 2 (wonderful bra at LaSenza) which is different then what I wore the day of the initial appointment. She also argued with me regarding the its not rocket science statement she made. She offered no solutions and expected me to take ownership of changing my size. My chest had not changed - she didn't measure, my hips - she measured my ass - and that is not even an issue of the dress. My waist she measure quite "loosely" in comparison to the initial measurement. But yet its all my fault. She mentioned her seamstress in Welland and I told her I'm not interested and I have my own and told her I would be making a review online to go along with the others regarding the lack of customer service. She immediately called THE BRIDE and left a NASTY voicemail on her machine saying how I was malice and rude and she doesn't want me in her store and that I should take responsibility for my weight gain and I shouldn't use her contact for the seamstress (again I told her I didn't want it nor did I take any seamstress information from her) Very unprofessional.

Very disappointed in this place we had made an appointment to look at bridesmaid dresses the customer service when we arrived was horrible! Not only we’re we pushed aside no one came to help us with dress fitting or anything they were to busy with the walk ins looking for prom dresses. They have beautiful dresses but I just can’t get over the lack of customer service here! If you have to book an appointment to even try on dresses for wedding parties at least be accommodating not act like we’re taking up room!

I was in Annettes looking for a bridesmaid dress. The staff was incredible and the dress selection was gorgeous! I'm a very picky person and told consultant Gabi my long list of things I like and didn't like. She picked out a dress instantly. I tried on a series of dresses that I picked out but ended up with the very first one Gabi chose for me! She knew me better than I knew myself! The staff made me feel like royalty! My experience was so special and I cannot wait to come back for my next bridesmaid experience ( always a bridesmaid haha!)

Lady helping was very friendly and helpful. Was very disappointed when I found out the majority of their sample dresses are sizes 8 and 10 (bridal sizing). I am a size 12/14 in bridal. They had a VERY limited selection for this size. Lesson learned on my part to ask the next bridal shop I book with. Just a very disappointing experience overall.

My sister booked her wedding dress appointment well in advance making sure to ask if they carried plus sizes as she could not see any images advertising so on their social media. They assured her they did and booked her in! Excited to try on her very first dress we come to realize that they indeed do NOT have any plus size dresses in at all bigger then a size 14.....not one she could try on. We traveled over an hour for this appointment and the best thing they could say to us was we sold them all a few weeks ago on our sales day. So if that really was the case why then did you not call us to let us know there was a sale or to cancel the appointment knowing we were coming specifically for plus sizes as told when booking the appointment. Also who sells ALL of their plus sizes without having any in stock to replace them! My sister was devastated that this was her first dress experience and we would never recommend them. Side note we ended up going two doors down to Ballett's Bridal and they were very amazing and had lots of dress options to try on they even stayed late for us and by doing so my sister found her dress and I also found mine!

I absolutely loved my experience at Annette's Bridal and said yes to the dress here! Megan was so lovely to work with; there was never any pressure at all and she made the experience so easy. There's a great selection of dresses here; even if I hadn't picked the one I did, there were still several that I would've been completely happy with. The only thing I would recommend is having a mirror that allows you to see the front and back of the dress at the same time. Looking forward to coming back here when my dress is ready!

While searching for my own dress I had a good experience. The person helping me was friendly and knowledgeable about the dresses. I was extremely disappointed after purchasing the bridesmaid dresses from Annette's due to being talked into a bigger size for my maid of honour's dress when I was unsure about the sizing. After receiving the dress it was huge on my maid of honour and when she questioned them, was told that it was because of me and I should have known she would need the smaller size! They then told her they couldn't do anything to fix the dress for her or to discount the cost!

The ONLY reason I am giving 2 stars is because Margerite is an absolute pleasure to deal with.. she made my horrible experience end on a good note which I greatly appreciate.. so if you go to this store, make sure you request her. In January I went to Annette’s to order my bridal gown. I was measured between a size 16 and 18 so I decided to go with the 18 to be safe and was told I would have to get the bust taken in with the 18 and was okay with that! My dress finally arrived toward the end of June, when I went to pick it up I tried the dress on and it could not be done up in the back because it was so small. My consultant at that time Barbara, measured me and had Annette come down and measure me also (my measurements were smaller than when I was originally measured in Jan because I had lost some weight), but the dress needed 7.5” to close? Confusing right? So the dress that I ordered; expecting it to be a little too big, was actually 2 sizes too small. So the girl who originally measured me, measured me incorrectly. No big deal, people make mistakes which I understand. Now here’s the kicker, I get out of the dress and am speaking with Annette and the consultant and Annette insists I must have gained weight due to covid and that’s why the dress won’t fit. (I had lost 10lbs between jan and June) and my measurements actually proved that.. so she proceeds to say “well maybe if you stop eating carbs and dairy and go for walks your dress will fit by Oct” as my eyes welled up with tears of embarrassment and anger I walked out of the store to take a moment. Personally, I don’t think any woman should ever comment on another’s body, diet etc. I was disgusted that the OWNER of a bridal store would treat her customer (who just paid thousands of dollars for a dress) that way. Inexcusable behaviour in my opinion. Eventually we were able to see that my designer had another size in stock that could be shipped immediately (at my cost). I understand people make mistakes; just own up to them and dont make a customer feel embarrassed and bad about herself just to justify your screw up. When I went in to exchange my dress I was told “you know, we really pulled a lot of strings for you, so we would appreciate a review on Facebook” well.. here’s your review; it might not be the one you wanted but it’s honest! And as an owner of a hair salon where I speak to many brides every day, I’ll make sure to share my review.

I had an appointment with Barbara from Annette's bridal and it was a great experience. Although I didn't buy a dress yet due to shifting wedding plans, I would strongly recommend them. Barbara helped me figure out what I liked/disliked about certain dresses and narrow my choices. At one point in the appointment I was worried that we had taken too much time, but Barbara assured me that there was no need to rush and helped me work through my favourites. I appreciate her efforts to make my grandmother comfortable during the appointment, too. Annette's has a large selection of dresses and make it easy for brides to select their favourite styles. My 18 year old daughter along with her 19 year old cousin on April25 2016 walked into your shop looking to try on and view some gowns for prom. Lets just say my daughter came home visibly upset and after what she told me what the Sales lady Deb said to her has provoked me to write this review. My daughter is approx. 5"6" 5"7" 150lbs very atheletic has played travel sports all her life she has very muscular thighs and buttocks. By no means I repeat would I consider my daughter fat!!! I my self told my daughter that dresses usually in bridal shops run small so don't be surprised you may need to go up a size or two depending on the stlye and material. The sales lady grabs a size 4 for my daughter thats what she normally wears. The dress would not zip up. The sales lady(Deb) continued to belittle my daughter saying "ohhhh dear you are too busty too broad in the shoulders dear your going yo want to eat your meal!" There's just no way our dresses are going to fit you." She no longer assisted my daughter at all to see if another style perhaps would fit. My daughter was horrified got dressed and proceeded to wait for her cousin who has a totally differerent body type she is 5"4" maybe 110lbs? Deb focused mainly on my neice. Neither my daughter or my neice purchased a dress and left visibly upset. I called the store wanting to speak to the manager and express to her the experience my daughter and her cousin had in her store. I was then told by the manager she has been in the business for 26 years and we are upfront and brutally honest with any client inregards to their body types and how their sizing may be different then your average clothing establishment. I said I understood that but suggested that there is a proper more compassionate way to let their clients know about their gowns. Rather then implying that the client is too fat and would want to be able to eat their meals! I said that my daughter who is a pretty self confident young women and does not have any self-concious issues towards her body at all. My concern is for anyone else who may have and walks into your establishment and received the treatment my daughter received that afternoon. How would you feel Miss Manager and Deb if you were the cause of a young woman leaving your store who suffers from anxiety, depression and self harms because they lack self confidence. Going to prom and or being a bride is a very special time in a women's life. Some have dreams ever since they were young of how they would look and that very special time in their life would be. You Miss Manager and Deb the sales lady lack class and respect and perhaps need a refresher course on etiquette on how to address these issues when different clients come into your establishment. It's called respect for all humans. Regardless of ethnicity, race,sexual orientation, etc. God forbid if two female brides are coming into your shop how they would be treated. When it comes to retail ladies you should be treating everyone who enters your shop with respect the same way you would like to be treated. I have been in the ratail industry for well over 30 years and treat every patron with compassion, kindness and respect to make sure they have an exceptional and enjoyable shopping experience. Word of mouth travels very fast and can make or break a business. For the life of me I do not understand how your doors are still open? You not only lost two sales today but you lost a future sale from my other daughter where I will not allow her to step foot through your doors. We do not have vety many formal shops here in St. CATHARINES but if we have to ho yo the states to look for a dress we will! So ladies I hope who ever reads this testimonial proceed with caution. Having been to two other places I can safely say that I would never ever recommend this place to any one. I generally don't hate on places after one experience but I really don't want other people to have the same experience. After explaining what I liked, I was presented with everything but what I wanted and then after explaining it a second time she said OH I didn't know that...yet even after this there were no A-line dresses apparently in the store? I kept getting fit and flare after explicitly saying I didn't want that and dresses that I said I didn't want to try on but was told I should :( After saying I was done with the frustrating experience I went to find my shoes where I left them...they were not there...where were they? broken in the middle of the store. Owner: "they seem to be on their last legs"... no sorry or explanation as to why some one had worn and broken my shoes. So if you go there don't bring shoes or an expectation to try on what you want.

We made an appointment but even upon walking in we weren't greeted. The vibe of this place and whole experience is not what you want when looking for a wedding dress. We only saw 1 dress that really stood out. Check out Paula's Engagement down the street!

8pm doesn't mean 8pm! We arrived at 7pm from Burlington (almost an hour drive) only to find the store locked - people inside and lights on but no one would come to door or answer phone! Would love to write a positive review but unfortunately couldn't get inside to tell you! 2 hours of my life wasted on that trip! And still no prom dresses x 2 Lesson to learn - always phone first don't assume their times are correct on the website!

Fantastic! I'm a larger girl so I dont fit dresses. The person who helped me (I'm so sorry I forget her name! It's my fault I'm not good with names) made me feel at ease and got my body into dresses to see how they looked with no trouble. She kept a conversation going while we got dresses on and off so there were no awkward silences. She always seemed to be there when we needed her and hidden when conversation needed to be between me and my girls. Annette's happened to be the third shop we went to on the one and only day I went out shopping. I did not know what I was looking for in a dress from the beginning and we finished the day finding THE dress! 100% would recommend to anyone.

Annette's was the first store I went to and I'm thankful for it - it was such an amazing experience in comparison to some that I've had since! Extremely low pressure, my consultant helped me get in and out of at the dresses which might seem "awkward" at first but is actually SO HELPFUL! No one tried to pressure me, they let us take photos so I could compare later so I could decide and they kept my measurements so I can order from them from out of town. They have amazing prices compared to the store out here in Vancouver!

Amazing shopping experience! Me and my bridesmaids came in for morilee dresses for my wedding and had the best time. They have so many dresses to try on and so many sizes (my girls really vary) and no one was left out cause of sample size. Definitely coming back to place an order ASAP

The ladies there are super nice when we went to try on dresses. However, when they measured and ordered my bridesmaid dresses they were WAY off. 3 out of 4 dresses need to be taken WAY in. My one bridesmaid is pregnant. They said they deal with that all the time and accounted for a baby bump. It's 8 sizes too big. 8 sizes. It needs to be taken in at every seem. Alterations will cost more than the dress. We asked for a new dress. This was their response, "a new dress will take 6 months to get, so you'll just have to fix it on your own." Great customer service. They have lovely dresses. But save yourself money in alterations and shop elsewhere. They have lovely dresses

I loved shopping at Annette's for my wedding dress! Gabby was amazing to work with! She is so fun, has a great personality and gave great advise. Gabby really listened to what I was looking for in a dress and helped me narrow down the styles to what I really wanted. I loved that she listened to me before coming out to show my guests the dresses as it can be overwhelming with many different opinions. I had a horrible experience at Annette's Bridal this past weekend. Not only was the selection terrible but so was the customer service. I had 5 guests attend the appointment and two were male friends. They were merely trying to find dresses for me since I was not happy with the first 7 dresses I tried on. The owner scolded one of them for touching the merchandise (fear that they would drag the dress on the floor) and referred to him and his partner as "you fashion boys". I unfortunately did not hear about this until after I left the store. Not only this, but while trying on a dress, the sales associate dropped the front (by accident, after telling me she "had me") which exposed my one breast to the other sales associates and my guests. There are other wonderful bridal stores in St. Catharines, I would suggest trying those locations first.

They've re-done the store since I've last been. So much space for changing, i think i had like 6 big ball gowns in the change room at one point. A great selection of styles, fits and colours and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Didn't make me feel uncomfortable or out of place. I already recommended anettes to a friend.

Found my dress here and its perfect i never dreamed of falling in love witth the gorgeous dress i tried on but the women helping me had a feeling and she was right i wouldve never picked it off the rack and wouldve missed out if it wasnt for her. I was in Annette's today with my bridesmaids and was very disappointed. We drove an hour to come to experience a different shop than the big chains by us and it was a waste of gas. Even though we had an appointment we were not helped by anyone. The only two things the girl working said to us was if we had a certain dress, which we did, and to tell us we had 15 min left. As well, she proceeded to take said dress from us (even though we liked it) to pull it for the next appointment even though we still had over half ofk our appointment left. One of my girls had to go get it back since other people wanted to try it on as well. I would not recommend going to Annette's with without an appointment. Spend your hundreds of dollars else where!

The staff here is extremely good at what they do. They helped me out quite alot even though they had other appointments and even remembered me when I came back in to receive my dress. They're very knowledgeable and seem to actually care about you and your style. Store seems small but they have lots of stuff in there. I am so glad I went there on a whim. Also a cool thing is you can make an appointment online which is super easy and convenient. 5 stars for the staff making me feel beautiful and I like a real bride.

I am a plus size bride and I had a WONDERFUL experience at Annette’s. I ordered a Mori Lee in a size 24 with no problem. The girl who helped me chose dresses that fit my style and body, and clipped me into dresses that were too small (I am hippy so needed help getting them on). The dress I ordered off of was a size 20, but she helped me see how it would look in my size. Overall, I had a great experience and they had beautiful dresses.
