We had a fabulous time picking my daughter’s wedding dress yesterday. There were lots of dresses to choose from and the room we were in was perfect. Janelle was super helpful and knowledgeable about the dresses and what could be done to alter them. One thing I thought that was a nice added touch was the little personal note attached to the dress from from the previous bride. And best of all, we spent about $400 less than our budget!

I have both sold a dress to Pearl and Birch, and now bought one from them. I am so happy to have been able to do both! Selling my first dress was an emotional experience for me and Teagan's understanding and kind nature reassured me I was making a good decision. Last night, I bought my wedding dress and both Teagan and Jenelle were phenomenal. They found me a dress that was literally more perfect than I could have imagined. I was so thankful for Jenelle's expertise and commitment to what I wanted, and that Teagan was able to join my appointment and offer even more valuable insight. The dress checked every box and fit like a glove, it truly felt meant to be. I love this store, its consultants, and everything they stand for. Will always highly recommend!

Had a great appointment with Teegan! As a first time wedding gown shopper I was super intimidated with the whole thing, she helped me figure out what I liked and narrowed my search and brought me a lot of dresses to try. I wasn't expecting to find / buy anything on the first try so this was a great appointment to just figure things out. She wrote out everything I was looking for in my dress and even suggested other stores that I could find them at. Definitely would recommend them for any shopper who is looking for a more personalized experience with very helpful and experienced professionals who give great advice and dedicate their time to you for your entire appointment (as opposed to other stores that double book consultants and have them half in your appointment and half running around the store). They totally set the bar high for my expectations for future shopping experiences.

I love everything theyre about at p&b! The selection of dresses was excellent, the staff presence and kindness was super, the prices are very reasonable, and the overall ambiance and ethics behind it all is well thought out. 10/10 would genuinely recommend to anyone I know! They work with you, care about you, and go the extra mile for you. (But don't take it for granted! They will do their best not just to sell you things, but to help you make your day what you wish for. Its great that they had helpful advice for some creative, kind of 'out there' ideas. Being just a little weird isnt just tolerated but celebrated here :) I felt very well cared for :)

She went above and beyond by picking out dresses in the colour the bridal party will be wearing so I could see the gowns along side them and even did my hair in an updo so I could have a better idea of what the dresses might look like on the day! Wonderful experience. I bought my grad dress after one hour at the store. Maggie was a massive help, and she was so kind and lovely about finding me my dress. A super positive, friendly, and warm store all around. They also have amazing plus size options and I had no trouble finding a wonderful dress in my size at an amazing price. Pearl and Birch is a local small business that cares about its part in the community and the environment- and making the most of your wedding experience from beginning to end. My relationship with the store started by finding my wedding dress here, coming back for a dress to wear for our engagement shoot, then going through extensive alterations with the amazing seamstress Adrianne Hill, and then refusing to leave.. and now I get to manage the most welcoming wedding Shoppe in the city!

Pearl and Birch was an amazing experience!! Teagan helped me find my dress and she was so kind and helpful! She was also body inclusive and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment! She was honest, and objective and I didn’t feel like she was pushing for a sale! I knew I had found the dress but I took her advise and slept on it and I got my dream dress today! The store is also very cute and stylish, I’ll be back closer to the wedding to choose accessories and possibly have some alterations done! Also, she was honest about the cost and complexity of different alterations for the dresses I tried one which helped me make a conscious decision! They also have some gorgeous formal dresses, I’ll for sure be shopping there for any formal dresses from now on! Thank you so much Teagan ☺️

Such a chill, welcoming, warm, no-pressure environment in which to make a huge decision. Amanda was incredibly relaxed and open and genuinely wanted very much to see me find my perfect wedding dress, even if that meant fitting me into several to give me an idea of what I like before sending me back into the world to try some of the bigger bridal shops in town.... and when I inevitably came back to buy my perfect dress from her she even offered to cinch me back into a third time so I could be absolutely sure! Very reasonable pricing for a very clean dress in excellent repair you'd never guess was consignment. Support excellent local businesses!

Pearl and Birch is such an incredible consignment store! I purchased my wedding dress from them in 2020 and my experience was incredible. Everyone was so sweet and kind, I was able to try and many different dresses and ultimately found the one! Along with this, I have a bridesmaids dress that they were taking in and going to be consigning at their store! I love the thought of wearing pre-loved dresses and this store embodies the importance of reducing their mark on the environment!

I had THE BEST experience at P&B. Highly suggest making this your first stop when dress shopping. Honestly, service at other dress stores paled in comparison. Teagan was amazing, made me feel so comfortable, had such attention to detail, and she is so knowledgable about all things dresses. She gave me such great advice on how I should get my dress altered to best suit me. She taught me how to pose to best showcase my dress in photos and showed my sister how to take the best photo of the bride to be. On my second visit (I had such a good experience I came back the next day) I was helped again by Teagan and Tiara, and again such a lovely experience. They made me feel so beautiful and gave me advice on accessories to compliment my dress. Bonus* a great sustainable dress option and it's a woman owned small business

When I didn't find "the dress" she gave me tons of details of where to go and what to look for next! I couldn't recommend Pearl and Birch more!!

I consigned a few items with this business right before the first wave of the pandemic. Closer to the expiry of my contract, I made attempts to retrieve my items, unfortunately I couldn't reach anyone on the phone as their line had pre-recorded options to leave a voice-mail. I then decided to drive to the store but their store was closed due to the pandemic. As a last resort, I sent an email (admittedly 4 days after my consignment expired hoping there would be a grace period) and asked for an extension of my contract since the pandemic affected business operations. Their response was that my contract had expired and my dress technically now belonged to them and was in their storage. To retrieve the items, I would have to pay a daily storage fee for each item in their possession since the contract expired. This didn't seem right to me. In the end, I only went home with my dress as I could not afford to pay the storage fee for the two other items. To incur additional cost for items I was hoping to sell for half price was unreasonable, so they claimed ownership of my items. The icing on the cake was when the sales agent retrieved my dress from the back, she brought it in a regular plastic bag and not the bag from the bridal shop. I asked her for the original bag the dress came in, and she said there was no record of any bag in my consignment. I insisted there was indeed a bag and miraculously she came back within a few seconds with my bag. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I couldn't help but feel a lack of sincerity, or accommodation on their part. A contract goes both ways, the reality is they didn't hold up their end of the agreement, they made zero attempts to contact me to explain how the pandemic would affect the sales of my items, and didn't extend any grace to me. Instead they charged me for "storage fees", confiscated my items, and will re-sell them for $$$ without the rightful owner ever getting a penny. Tread carefully with the contracts especially during this period. Lastly, I find it very ironic that the owner who had previously filed a public complain against an establishment goes on to handle her business in this manner.

Amanda and her associates were so friendly and helpful. In all my shopping experience I've never had any other sales staff pay attention to the types and styles of dresses that I was pulling (e.g. colour family, cut, neckline, length, formal/casual) and then provide suggestions based on that. Truly a personalized shopping experience! I went in for my first appointment at P&B thinking that I wouldn't find anything, but I left with 2 pieces I love!
