I can’t say enough about these guys customer service. I work for Vernon Hyundai and we had very expensive Arc’Teryx jackets purchased for the sale staff back in 2017 and we had to pitch in a few hundred ourselves. Best jacket I’ve ever had but the zipper broke on it late last year and it was right messed up. I contacted Valhalla Pure Outfitters beginning of October.2020 and asked them if they could do a warranty claim for me on it. I didn’t have a receipt but it was a genuine jacket and they know it has a lifetime warranty so they went to bat for me. Not only did they end up getting me my jacket repaired but it was without hassle and VERY fast! Even with COVID19 affecting everything these days, I got my jacket back, repaired, today (Nov.2nd). Less then a month from when I went in to getting it back. I was kept in the loop on a weekly basis with emails telling me what stage the warranty claim was at and when I could expect it back. This is the BEST customer service I have ever had when dealing with a warranty issue hands down. Repair is top notch, didn’t cost me a dime and I got my jacket back in record time. I am in customer service myself and I know when service is above and beyond and the staff at Valhalla Pure Outfitters deserves recognition for going the extra mile to make this painless and stress free. 5 Stars all the way! ????????✅

Awesome customer service! Ordered a pair of Hanwag boots in what I thought was US 11.5. I didn’t read the fine print and they were actually UK 11.5. VPO phoned me the day after my order to confirm that I had ordered in the right size (which I hadn’t). Apparently this has happened before. Totally impressed with VPO and their efforts to ensure I received the correct product and make my experience positive. Well done! Love the boots also!

I used to be a big MEC fan, but Valhalla Pure Outfitters has won me over! Local store, friendly and very helpful staff, and quality products at fair prices. Rather than try to have every product ever made, they have chosen a selection of the best quality products at various price points. For such a small shop, I've almost always found what I am looking for. Only suggestion I'd have is fat people like to get outdoor too, more clothing options for folks like us would be great.

A great chain of outdoor retail stores. They've got a well catered selection of mid to top brands in most mountain sports. Well stocked and the staff are knowledgeable about the products! Prices seem comparable to most rec stores in bigger cities, so that helps. Definitely a good spot to stop for advice and any gear deficiencies before you got the trailhead!

Thanks to everyone at Valhalla Pure. This company always goes out of there way to take care of its customers, I needed a specific sleeping bag for climbing trip to Mt Rainer as my original was ruined only a week before the trip, With almost no notice and no extra charge Valhalla rush shipped the bag i wanted to the closest store to me and even let me pick up the bag from there office on my way to the Mt. Thanks to Valhalla we climbed and route we wanted and got the summit. You guys are the best!

This is a very good outdoor store with knowledgeable and passionate staff. It’s one of the very few places in the Okanagan that sells ultra premium brands like Arcteryx or Norrona, although the Vernon store is not huge so the stock is somewhat limited.

AMAZING Customer Service! I was looking for a specific bag for weeks and finally found that VPO had it but had to get shipped from their warehouse. I asked if I could please get this before my birthday as I was going on a huge hike and Jodie from the customer service team responded to me that it might not make it in time but she will do everything she can to make sure it gets sent out as soon as they receive it from the warehouse. She kept me posted every time she got an update and sure enough, the bag was delivered just in time! I will be shopping here all the time now! Thanks Jodie!

WOW! The customer service at this store really blew me away! Rosy is absolutely fantastic and she really made my day????! I needed Gels, electrolytes and was looking at socks for my race tomorrow... she was very helpful, enthusiastic and kind. I had phoned in advance because I had my dog with me and couldn’t leave her in the car. I was told that 100% my dog was welcome in the store and in fact they preferred if I brought her in. I’m so impressed! Both Steve and Rosy were very sweet to my very timid and shy dog and they made me feel very welcome. They went the extra mile for us and where so genuine.

Could not say enough good things about my experience shopping at Valhalla Pure. I was in a couple weekends in a row to source out a backpack for an upcoming month long overseas trip. The staff (the CSRs and the store manager on my 2nd visit) were eager to assist, were very knowledgeable about their products, professional and very, very patient with my endless questions, and back & forth between products. They also stand behind the products that they stock and advised they no longer stock products if the manufacturer isn't agreeable to work with customer service wise. I was able to test out the backpack for a trek up the Enderby Cliffs and am very satisfied thus far with my selection made based on their help.

Poor selection, high prices, mediocre service, windows all covered with stuff, so it isn't inviting, and it is claustrophobic inside. I appreciate the manager contacting me, but with the stencils all over the windows and doors, it is just not a welcoming shop. People like to be able to see into stores, and shopping is much easier with some real sunlight than with only fluorescents. Valhalla is simply overpriced, and it always was. It is apparently, for folks for whom money doesn't matter, like the Bay. Check out MEC - a Canadian co-op, with much better selection and prices, and equal or better quality, plus endless warranty.

Haven't been to this store in person, as I live in Montreal, but I order many Snow Peak items from here online. They have one of the largest selection of Snow Peak merchandise outside of Japan. I've bought over a dozen Snow Peak titanium mugs and cutlery for hiking and everyday use. The prices are very reasonable, and the customer service is friendly and attentive. Look forward to one day coming over in person.
