Bought a stroller from Once upon a child. I payed $200 for the stroller only to get it home and find out it had a smoke smell to it. Tried scrubbing it and everything nothing worked to get the smell out. I was extremely disappointed. I had to throw the stroller away It was a big waste of money.

Great place to buy things for your baby! Although it’s second hand store you will find everything clean and in great condition! Instead of overpaying on things that you’ll use for short time you will save some money and get good quality stuff for your baby. If you’ve got things in good condition that your not using you can sell it and get some money back at the store. They have everything from clothing to shoes and even games and toys! If your having a baby go and check it out! There’s a free parking lot outside.

Decent selection. Was nice to have the option of winter stuff out (in sept). But there were a few racks of girls clothes that were fairly empty while I was looking. But it sounded like they had a lot to unpack and hang up. So I wouldn’t dock points for that. They had handmade (local) masks available to purchase in a variety of sizes, lots of accessories, and lots of winter hats and mitts which are necessary. Really clean store. Most items seemed extremely clean and well curated which was nice to see. Not crowded at all like some secondhand stores get. It’s also doesn’t smell like a thrift store either which is so nice. Will definitely be back!

I found some good deals on girl's clothing here. The racks are pretty crowded, making it hard to see what's there. The upper racks are quite high and I found it difficult to reach and peruse the merchandise. Perhaps they could add some lower racks or not put everything out all at once. I will be going back without kids to have a better look.

It's a little small, theres an old musty smell from the used clothing, which is probably to be expected, and theres no shopping carts like Saskatoons location, but it's ok otherwise.

Most of the people working there are rude. You bring in brand new items that still have tags they say they are worn or have stains. Just be honest and say you have too many or you dont think they will sell, dont lie! We all know it's bull. And they offer $1 per item and sell it for a ridiculous amount. But i mean I'm not selling my old things to get rich. I just wish they wouldn't charge stupid for an item they paid $1 for and that they would stop lying to people about the clothes they dont take.

I am really disappointed with this place. The store clerks were very polite, however I was truly flabbergasted with the owner(I am sure she was the owner an older heavier woman not lady). I didn't realize the 'rules' were you needed to bring items in in Rubbermaids not garbage bags and the clerks kindly mentioned that to me upon my entering. It was no big deal as I had Rubbermaids in my car.The clerks said I could change them over in the store so I was doing that respectfully. All of a sudden, the owner came up to me and literally snapped as I was taking a tag with pins off one of the dresses from a garage sale. She raised her voice in front of everyone and said, 'We can see you taking the pins off and they are not allowed!! We don't accept items that had pins!!'. If that wasn't enough, she went on to yell saying, 'Clothes are NOT allowed in garbage bags, only Rubbermaids!!!' She then rudely rolled her eyes and shook her head at me?! Are you seriously kidding me?! She continued to nitpick most of my clothes as she sorted through them. She didn't realize I actually don't need the money, I just thought someone could perhaps use the clothes?! Getting $5.00 for a few items wasn't worth her ignorance. Thankfully I donated all the items after that lousy experience! I am an educated professional, and I know if I spoke to people the way she did to me I would be fired. To make things worse, I recently had surgery and didn't need her rudeness, as it took a lot of energy to drag the items in as they were heavy. I actually came from Cozy Cradles, and have been to both place a few times. I highly recommend them in University Park, as they are classy, respectful and polite to their customers. They are also exceptionally friendly, offered to help me lift my items and their clothes items/store is very clean. Their items are also much nicer. They are moving to a new location also in the east, and their items are presented nicely on the racks-positive vibes in that store the couple times I have been there. I am sorry, but there is NO need for rudeness, especially since the others and me were being polite. What an extremely disappointing experience. Shame on that woman. I actually wondered if she was being extra rude because I am a woman of color, until I read she behaved the same way with others on here after I scrolled through reviews. I have NEVER experienced anything like it in Regina or Moose Jaw where I'm from. I agree with some others' comments-if you don't know how to behave properly, don't own a business!! Work somewhere behind some desk where the public does not have to deal with your sourness!! How immature honestly!! Even worse, she was behaving very inappropriately, as customers and clerks were watching her trying to unnecessarily insult me. I would rate her a 0 but there is no spot for a 0. I emphasize the 2 other clerks were fine and respectful. Behave classy if you are a business owner, especially in this day and age of covid where businesses need customers. WOW.

I have nothing but great things to say about OUAC . I took a smaller basket of clothes and got about $55. Obviously I paid a lot more but my 3 boys have worn this clothes (I took extremely great care of it) but I went have made more on varage since most people basically want it for free .

I was just looking for a specific colour outfit to use one time and also curious to know what was in this new store. So I went last week and the place looked too small for the stuff they carry, stuff and clothes everywhere. Most of the clothes have lots of wear and not variety on sizes very limited. Pros: They have clothes in racks by sizes some of them are misplaced I guess by costumers. They also have some costumes Toys and gear look in good condition But in general I'm not going back.

I use to shop here lots. However I tried to sell some gently used clothing, no visible stains. I guess they use a special light to see old stains?? Took 2 bags in they picked out only the brand new clothing and offered $4.35 for 10 items. Not a good experience, will be selling else where or online.

Took in two huge bins the other day. They literally only accepted a quarter of my stuff and Peggy the owner said the rest of my stuff was ripped, broken, or stained. I got home and went through the stuff with a fine tooth comb that they refused and its all PERFECT condition clothes, with a few sleepers and t-shirts that are in a more worn condition. Im talking about polo shirts worn once or not at all, plaid button ups, a Christmas sweater worn ONCE for Santa photos, a faux leather jacket worn twice, plus countless other MINT condition items. All returned to me and refused. I did notice though that they accepted a Quicksilver zip up, which was in the most worn condition out of all the zip ups I brought in. Sad that they will take worn out higher brand name clothes, and turn away brand new condition Joe Fresh and Carters brand clothing. Seriously upsetting and I won't be back and I will be telling ALL of my friends with kids to not go there. I really wish I could attach pictures of the clothes they declined on here. Because its absolutely ridiculous.

A friend told me about this place it's supposed to be a good place to buy used baby items. I went there and noticed right away they had baby blankets marked for $20 plus tax when they sell at Walmart for $14.95 and used play pens for more than what they are sold for new instore, I was looking at one they had marked for $200 when it's alot less than that at Walmart. Expensive place for something that's supposed to be budget friendly, everything they have priced in store you're better off just buying brand new since you're basically paying retail price if not more at a used clothing store. People that work there are also really rude, you're better off shopping somewhere else where customers are appreciated and valued. Save yourself the trip over priced place for used baby things.

Not worth the time to drive down there to take in items. Total rip off. Took 45 items, lots of brand name, even jackets and only gave $40. Tried to give $5 for a $75 dollar bike that was used a few times. Gave a bunch of items they said weren't good enough but lots were new or hardly worn. Some of the stuff given back looked way nicer than the items they carried. Better to sell online.

This is my least favourite out of any Once Upon a Child I’ve visited. The staff have always been friendly, however, what they chose to buy is confusing and frustrating. They refuse items due to “condition” or greater than 5 years. However, my kids aren’t 5 years so nothing is older than that. I also thoroughly inspected all items and nothing had holes or stains. They pay less than a dollar per item on average so you’re often better just donating for the inconvenience. Yet, when you look at what items they have on the shelves, lots have wear and stains so not sure how that makes the cut.

Lady that runs it is super ignorant. I bought an item from her the other day and had to return it as the boots wouldn’t fit my child. She gave me attitude and was very disrespectful about just exchanging the item. I didn’t want a return just an exchange. I didn’t have my receipt but showed her the transaction and she said that I probably didn’t purchase them there but yet the tag said their store on it. Finally found my receipt and brought them back in and she continued to be ignorant rolling her eyes... I lived shopping here but she isn’t a people person and shouldn’t be running the establishment if she’s going to be disrespectful to her purchasing customers. Than I had to fill out a form just to return it and through the process she was rude. I have never been treated the way she treated me.

It had used kids clothes and used baby toys. All clothes were sorted by size and gender. Most of the clothes were for babies and toddlers, there was a small area/section for kids size 8 to 12. The store was overcrowded with stuff.

As a single mom buying second hand is definitely a necessity of keep a good budget. I was little disappointed today on my visit as I felt many items were over priced and in really "used" condition, more than most. I have been here many times before but feel that the quality is lacking this visit. Could be because of back to school but I feel it has slipped a bit not getting the best bang for my buck as a few items I looked at could be purchased brand new for a few dollars more than asking price, which doesn't meet the standards of the store pricing. Still a great little store, just a shame it's not like it once was...

I do not recommend at all!!! If there was zero stars - even that will be too much. This particular branch of once upon a child store picks out only the NEW (stuff with tags) or “worn once” stuff in your package and pay you $1 or less for those new/almost new items. Yet they sell those items for $8.00 or more in the store. The whole operation is nothing short of daylight robbery. You are better off donating your items to charity. At least you know you are being charitable as opposed to enabling a store in ripping people off- both at the point of sale and purchase. Do NOT go here!

Bought 40 onesies and every single one had a hole from the tag, many in odd and very obvious/visible places. They won't buy it with a hole but they have no issues selling them with them?! I brought it to their attention and just said they were sorry. Nothing further was done. Prices are pretty high. A Wal-Mart snowsuit was marked at $50!!! A *used* WALMART baby's snowsuit was marked at FIFTY dollars. My mom bought me 2 from the gap and 1 from Wal-Mart for cheaper! I also saw half an outfit that was almost 10 years old (I know because I had it with my 1st) and was priced almost retail from 10 years ago, missing half the outfit. Love the cleanliness and layout but majority of prices are insane considering most are not boutique brands. You can buy brand new in retail stores for way cheaper when they have sales. Most of what they sell is superstore, Wal-Mart and old navy. Reason for 3 star is I like the cleanliness and got a good deal on a stroller.

Was not happy with the service I had today. I got half of my stuff given back. Excuse was few of my clothes had hair on them. My clothes had two strands of hair on two outfits and that is a send back? Plus, the sales lady said to go home and wash. Did that all morning doing that. Then got told I had stains. Their was no stain because most of the stuff still had their tags on. I rather be told the truth then lies. If you are honest then I am happy to come back, but lie i’ll go elsewhere. Thanks for the bad experience.

Horrible store, very rude staff the owner as well, her name is Peggy, she is taking either free items or used then, sell them with expensive price. My friend bought a stroller from this store very expensive. Peggy told her that in very good condition, but when she used it, many accessories were missing, my friend went back to the store & Peggy was very rude, staff as well & told her I don't want to see this stroller again in my store. Really very bad experience. My friend still suffering with this stroller, bcz no accessories are available... I 'll never go there. No star at all

I tried returning an was told they will not refund or buy back as there are no boots with ski outfit. I told them thats why I returninh an was told they will still not take back...pffft..
