Some workers are rude, they were watching me until a woman asked me that I needed to leave my bag on the entrance, but nobody told me that, when I entered the store. I didn't buy anything that day although I bought a short a few weeks before of that day. I returned again to the store because they have good clothes, even though not all workers are polite, or maybe they just don't want to work??? It can be a good question for them! #atmosphere

She was really informative, told me how to best take care of them so they will last, and it was fun to talk about hiking adventures and different shoes we've tried. Not bad for our only ‘backpacking’ outdoor store in town. Nice to have somewhere to buy that type of hiking gear, but not worth going there to experience the overly arrogant attitude by a couple of their employees. Looking to replace a piece of used gear, but buddy is more preoccupied with giving condescending, and patronizing remarks than actually helping me locate the replacement part. Turns out they don’t have it in stock, but guy still insists I “can’t possibly need a new one, these ones last this long, what are you doing to have gone through it already, etc etc”... Give me a break, guy has no idea where/how I’m camping. Just help me order a new one rather than going off on a conceited rant about how much you supposedly know. Insufferable. Ended up ordering the product from Valhalla Pure Outfitters rather than continue getting interrogated by the smug gear dept guy.

Staff openly did racial profiling of an Indigenous person. The person did not look any different than any other customers in that shop but he got singled out, I assume, because he was Indigenous and cashier called security as soon as he walked in the door.

I'm glad there is an Atmosphere in PG. Good selection and deals. Got great service and information when we went to buy a kayak this past week (Emily I think?). They try and help with all rudder installs and even did a little extra shrink wrapping of the cables so they don't come off the rudder posts.

Was told by two staff today I could do an exchange, and one helped me find a different hat as the one I received as a gift which was too small for Christmas was too small. Upon a woman working there seeing the hat she said to her costaff that she would not be completing the exchange as it is "unsellable". I was picking out some other Arcteryx items to buy to add to my exchange, as I shop there frequently over the past few years. She made a disgusted face at me and walked away, and so did the male co-staff, I said I guess I will not be shopping here again if this is how I will be treated. She obviously had zero problem with this at all as she then ignored me. I am disgusted with this behaviour especially since I have bought such expensive items there in the past(multiple winter jackets Arcteryx for example, as well as camping gear). I encourage everyone whole heartedly to not shop there if this is the way they are going to run their location.

Good selection of out door clothing and excessories. Most of it is expensive but you get what you pay for. Quality cloths that work. Dont cheap out on outdoor gear. Easily makes the difference between a great camping trip and a miserable one.

Thank you and Kudos to Atmosphere Prince George. I bought a Marmot featherless puffer jacket a year ago and found that all the batting in the waffles was bunching up more and more. Just couldn’t get it to redistribute. The store didn’t just take it back but upgraded me into a gorgeous down puffer jacket from Marmot on top of it. Thank you so much. I did not expect this at all. Will definitely shop there again and again. Great store with great quality items.

Atmosphere used to be great. Now that it's owned by CT, certain brands have faded away. The shoe selection is horrible, and they brought in a lot of low quality " outdoor wear and gear". Too much focus on internet sales, the store was truthfully better 7+ years ago when employees were getting commission and product was better/ higher quality. Back then customer service was better and the products sold were reputable.

My husband and I went in to buy backpacks. We walked in and headed towards the pack section, which is by the staff room/back room door. We were not greeted, and no one made an attempt to note our presence. As we were looking at packs and trying them on multiple employees walked by into the back room not once did they say hi or ask if we needed help - even the ones who I made eye contact with. We both found packs we liked and even though we really did not want to give them our business we had little choice being that we had travelled several hours specifically to purchase packs. When we brought our packs up to the till to pay not one employee there would say anything or make eye contact. When I finally made eye contact with one she just stared so we stood there holding our packs and finally one employee begrudgingly agree to ring us through.

I walked in to buy a rock climbing helmet, an employee went to assist me, but was called away. I helped myself but didnt know what to look for and no one returned to help me. I decided to leave the store when on my way out I noticed an employee and caught her attention with small chat. She quipped back, “no, Im working.” So I left the store and will be buying a rock climbing helmet elsewhere. Congrats for sucking at customer service.
