The produce is more selective but i have come home with many a rotten fruit at the bottom on a bulk fruit container. Cashiers are not helpful in any way if you bring your own bags and will pile all your food and may spoil your chips and bread items. This can be very anxiety inducing experience.

This superstore location is the worst. We always have to check the expiry dates on everything we buy here because everything is out of date. We’ve gotten expired bread, milk, lunch meat, and breakfast bars (the bread actually had mold on it). Because the location is far from where we live, we rarely have the opportunity to return said items and we end up having to rebuy everything elsewhere. If you must shop here ALWAYS check the expiry dates! Last time we were there we were overcharged $10 for toilet paper. So check your receipts as well! Or just avoid this location altogether and go to Sobeys.

Totally not impressed with this store today..price went in wrong with item told the cashier..she had no problem adjusting the price without looking or confirming..but as soon as i told her its free( store policy)then she said she had to call and check ..losing my patience because i had everything checked in ..ready to pay but had to wait another 10 minutes for her to fix the problem when she was all ready to adjust the price previously. After the first few minutes of her looking dazed and confused i ran through the store to get her the tag of the price. Her attitude was very inappropiate and as much as she was making me frustrated i did not tell her what i really thought of her customer service. Not impressed!

Produce is hit or miss. Some weeks the selection is great, other weeks whole varieties of vegetables just aren't there. Very limited ethnic foods section as well.

Average. Meats not great. Produce middle grade, not terribly fresh. Even Joe Fresh hasn't got the variety that mainland Superstores have. But fairly good value when compared to Sobeys. Good weekly sales and regularly low-priced clearance items.

These Atlantic Superstores are nice. I like the washrooms and Cafe upstairs. I like that they carry local strawberries. Loblaws, you need to carry more local food across the country though! Lots of variety of food and some choices you can only find in Atlantic Canada.
