Great place to shop used for everything . cloths are great
Joanne and some other very rude staff make mostly every trip an awful experience. will not be back.
Overpriced..double taxed! I'll stick to shopping at other thrift stores!
Nice and quick and cheap
A little expensive for a charity shop but some great finds.
Half the stuff I'm after they have but choose not to sell. If you donate a computer or laptop to value village they won't sell it to the general public. So stupid. This story I'm going to tell is entirely 100% true. A few years ago and old man's coat was donated to value village in penticton. A worker went through the coat and in a tiny inside pocket there was a very old diamond ring. This is the part I didn't like much about the people that run value village. The coat was donated .....the ring WAS NOT. So instead of taking out an ad on the paper or online etc, they had the ring appraised the next day which was $9500, they immediately put it up for sale for $6500 and someone offered $5000 and they took it. Someone's family heir loom was now gone forever all for the all mighty greed machine. That to me was totally disgusting. Everyone claims to have morals standards ethics etc well not the management at this place. Pathetic.
Prices are high for used items
Often overpriced for second hand, (sometimes even more than new,) and you find a lot of items from the Dollarama next door. Sometimes good deals though.
Found some things that were well priced. Also found a bunch of clothes that were supposed to be my size were much smaller
Overpriced pre owned items for a for profit company.
Lots and lots of stuff to look at.
I have a few reasons why I really don't like this one particular store 1. The woman over prices a lot of stuff, I mean I can buy brand new clothes from the mall cheaper and that's absolutely true. 2. Not that much nice stuff and 3.they should have a camera outside for their customers with cars, our car got broken into. ESPECIALLY with the wrong kind of people favoring the place to fill their backpacks.
Used to be a great place for finding gems. Not anymore. Prices close to new, and sometimes more than the price of new...management didn't care
Prices to high
can buy the same clothes new for half the price form their owner Walmart
Good
Nothing really stands out, and prices aren't great considering they don't buy the items
Be prepared to be treated like you stole something! Horrible security guard manning the door? Takes your own belongings and snatches things out of your hand before you leave the store then bans you! Threatens to call the police, then when you would like them to attend because he's publicly shamed you, he starts swearing at you. While the store employees look on in shock, still do absolutely nothing but back him up. Personally I think the Ladies who work there are scared of him.
Over priced getting bad .
Sometimes you win or sometimes you will lose but when comes to that { Charity} I say in a good way.. ????????
Work stuff is on sale for cheap right now
Great place for Halloween costumes!!
Items are sometimes priced to high for their true value, still some good deals.
Lot of choice but quite high prices
Typical value village, fairly clean and well organized.
Good location and lots of variety but still can't try clothes on... Bummer
The biggest used item store in Thunder Bay. Everything you need may be found here. The issues are price and tax. If you don’t care about price, come and pick up. The electronics area is my favourite. I can find the virtual glasses, speakers with reasonable price. I bought my snow pants here just 24$ and it did work perfectly for me in the passed three years. One lovely thing is clothings for kids within the reasonable price and variety.
Great deals on many items. Stock changes often.
Organised and ????
Huge Value Village, probably one of the biggest I've ever been in. They had a great selection of a wide assortment of different items including tons of clothes.
Prices don't reflect the quality of items being sold
Clean and organized.
Please note when shopping here: Value Village is a FOR PROFIT company. Their goods are overpriced so they can maintain a profit. Do not shop here. Please consider Not for Profit stores such as the Goodwill and the Salvation Army. Every time you buy an overpriced ripped and stained item, you are supporting an organization that likes to make it appear they are not for profit organization.
Great store
They need to remind people sometime to mind the 2 meters distance and kids should too!
Pretty expensive
Surprisingly varied inventory. I almost bought something but no. Prices seem reasonable. Nothing spoke to me on this visit. I'll probably stop on again.
They need to be more organized a better system also between customer and employee better customer service..
Must say I am disappointed by the higher prices I am seeing at VV of late. Will go back to donating to Salvation Army.
The amount of wast and deception is incredible. After working here and seeing thousands of items only be allowed to sit on the sales floor for a week befor being simply being tossed in the garbage crusher and obligated to fill the shelves with newer merch its a never ending cycle of people's precious goods being wasted. I'd say only 30% of items are truly recycled. And a good part of that is clothes, the rest is simply destroyed In this mentioned garbage crusher that can be viewed at the back of the building
Good selection and staff.
Great stuff here! There are tons of good finds, especially in the athletic wear- high end designer labels at seriously amazing prices. This particular value village is a step above the norm.
Great values.
Too expensive for the second hand junk they sell
Despite being a store for great deal finds, the prices on used clothing are almost on par with what you will find in most retail outlets. No real deals will be found here with the majority of the profits not finding their way to charities like they claim to do.
Sells interesting stuff.
these people really profit with donations
Nice friendly staff... Regular value village
You might get a deal, but many of the prices are inflated beyond the value of a used and worn product, sometimes getting uncomfortably close to the retail value of that product new. Many other chain thrift stores are heading in this same direction, but it seems to defeat the purpose of "thrift" and of donations contributing to sale items. There are a lot of things available, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Good luck!
Clean and a great shopping experience. Also had a good friendly crew
Personally this one is my fave place to thrift, I always get a good stuff in here. They have a lot of choices and price is reasonable
You can find some really amazing stuff here, but it's getting so expensive it's not always worth it
Stuff is over priced. I went in for a job interview and they strung me along for a week then sent me an email saying i was over qualified for a position there. I didn't know trying to support your family and go to work had stipulations.
Fun
Prices are astronomical for a lot of things when they're all donations. Disappointed a massive profit is more important than actually helping people get affordable necessities
Good quality
I find it a bit out of balance in prices. Lots of options.
You can get cheaper clothes at winners, brand new.... Don't waste your time on this greedy store.
Expensive
This is a very corporate entity don't expect deals considering they get stuff for free. This place is all about sales and targets of beating other stores according to the manager. Not sure how the charity thing really fits in. Local charities offer better value and sometimes better selection. I try and stop in on a regular basis (bi-weekly). And it's been close to a year since I have made a purchase at this franchise.
It was a good shopping experience, Thirft Shopping. Always think they have high prices. On stuff that is donated.
Usually I love coming to this store but this time the greeter was so snotty I couldn't believe it. Not a smile or anything. Shame really since all of the other staff are pretty nice people.
I seriously couldn’t believe some of the prices i was seeing on the clothing items. the store is price gouging on some of the cheapest brands out there (H&M, Gildan, George etc) one of the shirts was visibly dirty with stains but it was still priced at $10. also the store was absolutely packed with people. terrible experience, most definitely the worst value village i’ve visited
Prices are getting higher, and I learned yesterday that they do not wash the clothes before selling them..ewe
I got a smoking deal on a pair of Bluetooth headphones. Some items are very overpriced considering they get it for free. You can find some great deals.
I love being able to purchase all seasons of clothing all year round.
I used to visit this thrift store regularly. However within the last year, their prices have increased by so much that I no longer shop here. I’ve found most VV stores in the city have followed suit but this location is especially frustrating to me since I found a Shein dress (already fast fashion and will likely disintegrate after its next wash) priced for what it sells new on Shein’s website. On top of that, VV is not a charity and is openly a for-profit company. Take your $ elsewhere and support some really worthy thrifts in the city.
Some things can be a bit pricey, but all in all not too shabby.
Good clean layout, typical Value Village, the checkout lineup is a bit confusing but besides that all good! They have a nice complimentary hand sanitiser
All the products are dirty and expensive.
over priced and very rude
Great finds today
Value village is insanely over priced now. Still only giving $0.02 per pound they sell it charity and making a billion dollars annually. Been seeing dollar store items being sold for 2 to 5 dollars when the price is right on cardboard. This place needs to be exposed. Lawsuits don't stop crooks.
Fabulous range. Very friendly staff and great prices.
It's okay. Can be a bit expensive
Clean and not crowded. Value Village is my happy place to go and look at everything! I found some great bargains.
Wide variety, Good price's , Great for 2nd Hand clothing!
Always something new
It's great but picked clean. Hard finding new items
Seniors day is awesome, thanks Value Village
Prices have gone up and are border line outrageous, but good selection
Fairly decent but prices are silly for some things. Really Penticton VV?
Decent.
3 bucks for a mug and underneath the price tag was the original price tag of a dollar from dollars dollarama
Clean well lit and organized. Staff was cheerful send friendly
Nice selection of quality used clothing. Can be pricey on some items, but there are definitely deals to be found.
Good nice they have 7 day exchange option
Friendly staff
Excellent variety of gently used items for a reasonable price
Great service. Reasonable selections.
Treasure hunting
Found exactly what I wanted - affordably- and also got distracted in the book section!!
Great selection compared to other thrift stores.
Prices outrages and theifs walking in and out. I wanted a cool jacket and some guy walked up to me put it on and left.
I've bought clothing, movies, music, and even an inexpensive phone which I then used to get my next phone number. The used phone lasted longer than the new Alcatel I received from Telus to replace it! Service there is so so, the cashiers are the most public face of the store.
Good selection and awesome deals.
Great books
Good location but prices are just too high for second hand.
Overall, one of the cleanest Value Villages I have EVER been in✨ but..... a BIG but..... Lately a lot of their items are overpriced, and I'm coming across a lot of damaged items. Their management seemed responsive to my concerns, and was going to remind their team of selling standards ???? Hope to see an improvement.
I love going there to buy new clothes and used clothes and movies or tv shows
Not much of a selection
Everyone there is very nice but everything seems overpriced. Still love going there
I go fairly often to VV. The staff has always been super helpful and seem to be enjoying their job their. Good customer service!
Staff is friendly, large clean selection of items, slightly overpriced.
Love the selection! This is a review for the Penticton BC Value Village.
(Translated) yasss hun (Original) yasss hun.
Great value. Got some nice stuff. Books are overpriced compared to local used book stores however.
I'm really disappointed that Value Village has decided to permanently remove their changing rooms, not just until until COVID is over, but forever. This makes it impossible to buy items, like jeans and dresses, where it actually needs to …
A little pricey for second hand items but can find some original items.
Got a great deal and also shoplifted some tech. I love VV
Could use another mirror in the change rooms to get a different angle- back of the door. Has gotten better at keeping it relatively organized and clean. Definitely keep an eye on the change rooms for who is done using them and left all their rejects in there. Makes it hard to know if one is free despite the open door- they might be coming back after grabbing a different size really quick. Staff is always so friendly. Definitely bring back student discount days! Even 1x a month would bring in a lot more business.
This Value Village is so expensive I was disgusted and shocked by their lack of empathy towards those with low incomes. The amount of ripped jackets I came across that were priced from $20-$40 was insane. They wanted $150 for a Dr. Suess …
Ok
Nice selection and helpful staff.
Have some really dope staff that work here
A very good collection of used items such as clothing, cookware, furniture, toys, and so on..
Always good prices on clothes
It continues to amaze me how much value my wife can find here
Very expensive. They are supposed to be for charity but instead have turned it into a multi-million dollar business with very little being given to those in need!
Good selection and exceptional Halloween choices . However I find it expensive
Excellent service
Absolutely disgusted with your pricing habits there. You're a "FOR PROFIT" company that's pricing on greed, and no longer for the low income and homeless people anymore. You cater to a higher income bracket now it seems, which is complete …
Great selection. Lots of room. Excellent prices. Convenient location.
Worst company to work for, worked here and quit on good terms. Had other employees call me telling me the manager was telling them I quit because none of them did there jobs, when I truth I went to help my family in Alberta. Them found out …
Just dropped stuff off
Finding that the prices are getting higher and higher. I fail to understand why when they get everything for free
Clean used clothes
Expensive considering they get all their items donated for free. It's called thrift store. Prices sometime equal brand new unused.
Great deals and finds
Prices are way to high for some things!
I found a pair of Levi's for 1.99. Start the car!
My son loves checking out the toy section as soon as he gets in the store an picks out a toy for me to buy ????
The place is nice, except there can be a lot of things on the ground
Nice and friendly staff, good prices
Great deals and helpful staff!
Their prices are shockingly high and I have found numerous filthy and stained items priced as though nothing is wrong: The worst of which was diarrhea-filled sweat pants in 2018. This time, I was in line 5-10 minutes prior to closing time, waited five minutes to check out (only two registers open while additional staff floated around and didn't open more registers to expedite this process). Once I had checked out, I was packing my bag so everything would fit as it was wet outside and I would be walking. It took me a few minutes to make everything fit. The staff made passive-aggressive remarks that they couldn't start closing until I had left. I have frequently been treated poorly at various Value Village locations and have tolerated this because I know that working retail isn't easy. This store has potential, but there's a larger issue, which is that the company likely doesn't compensate or train their staff sufficient to create a positive experience for customers and staff alike. They need better compensation for their workforce, structure and consistency in pricing, quality control and a stronger corporate brand. They're all over the place. You get to be low priced or you get to be excellent. You can't have high prices and terrible quality products and service.
Good service and organized
Buyer beware, prices are not thrifty. There is an occasional good buy. Mostly, I shop at VV to reduce, reuse and recycle, and for distraction. The only day I usually spend money is if it's seniors day, otherwise, it's too pricey. The electronics Ive bought,, usually are garbage. They might turn on, but they don't actually function.
Other than price inflation..awesome
Typical thrift store. A little over priced for my liking.
Friendly, clean , follow covid requirements..
Finding lots of items over priced
Most organized Value Village I've been to.
Delusional pricing, whoever they brought on to do it obviously hasn't heard that poorer people need clothes. Actually more expensive than buying new. Smells like it needs a good dusting
Clean and fairly organized
Sketchy area of town ... kinda rude staff
Nice large VV. Lots of parking and selection.
This is where you go to put things you don't need anymore
Huge collection of used clothes and items. A definite first stop before buying anything new. Reasonable prices but can be a bit chaotic and messy at times. Go early or mid week for most enjoyable experience.
Awsome lots of variety of clothing and electronics, shoes etc
Being in a Beach town, I expected this Value Village to have a lot to offer, as I imagined airbnb's and hotels are forever donating things people leave behind. It turned out I was wrong. The selection is subpar compared to other locations I've been to.
It's like a yardsale.you never know what will be there. most of the items are a bit pricey. they have to remember this stuff is second hand
Prices have become just as much as the stores. I ONLY stopped in here today because my mom wanted to buy a shirt. My mom put the shirt back (at $14.99).
Very friendly and warm atmosphere! Always a pleasure coming in here when we come through town
Good
Biggest Value Village store I've seen. It has 3 floors, endless treasures and good prices!
Love Value Village but I'm giving it 3 stars because a lot of items are over priced.
Terrible
Cool
Discount but I don't like that they charg so much when they get it all for free
I like the 50% off days. Great for work clothing.
Good prices interesting store.
Very good and very friendly people
I'm like a kid walking into a candy store... It's a treasure hunt each time lol The staff are amazing and friendly, one of the better VV that I have had the pleasure to discover ????
You can find some good stuff here, but a lot of the times it's really overpriced if it is good. I have found better prices at actual vintage stores.
It's been awhile since I've been to Value Village and WOW, things have changed. What a selection. I was pretty impressed with how much of everything they seem to have. Honestly, I could spend the better part of an evening in there, just browsing. Crazy.
Thrifty but good quality, there's always a nice gadget or some clothing brand new.
It was a very good thrift store a few years ago. Unfortunately, they rouse prices and allowed very used-inventory to be sold in their stores.
This place is getting too expensive for a "thrift" store. Often you can buy new from Walmart for a similar price (within $1 or $2) and at Walmart you can return it.
Prices to high
The line up was short & quick. I went in looking for nothing in particular. I left with an orange scarf, orange wrap for my drum. I was happy!
Lots of great items. Never leave empty handed. Lots of items that still have tags on them
Like a yard sale everyday. Win.
Friendly staff kinda expensive have to watch the prices
Whatever you are looking for is available at bargain prices. But I warn you in advance, set yourself a time limit or spending limit, very cool stuff I wanted badly on the shelves and racks but came home very happy with my goodies!
Mixed pricings some thing are worth it others are not. Good if you go alot can eventually find what you are looking for before someone else grabs it.
Decently clean, selection is alright, pricing on some items is just high. Like always they utterly smash the Halloween game. Hope they start supporting local non profits and the like.
I love thrift stores..I just find that over time Value Village doesn't have that same 'value' in its stores anymore..if I wanted to pay (almost) 'full' price for a used item? I would buy 'new'..just saying..
The used clothing are too expensive there. Why bother buying these used clothes when Walmart has the same prices nd u can get new one at Walmart . I would only buy kitchen items in the place a d not used clothes . Gross.
Good used stuff
They must think they are The Gap or something cuz their clothes amongst other things are ridiculously overpriced. They should be ashamed of themselves.
Always a fun place to look for deals.
Getting to expensive for a place who works with donations
(Translated) Good clothes (Original) Buena ropa
It is a place to get nice used clothing, and other things. But is a bit on the high side with the resale to the public.Especially when these products are donated to them.
More expensive than it should be. Something's are priced too close buy new.
Place has some great finds but pricing seems to have gone up a lil bit
Well, I was very disappointed! Made a special trip to buy a Fall Jacket for the upcoming Fall season. Such a large store, for so little choice. Only about 7 Jackets. None suitable or my size. Small section for a huge store!!! The prices are too much for used clothing. Depreciation Value, something obviously the store doesn't add in to 'Pricing' Items For Sale!
Kelowna one is way better, more of a selection
They take in high end stuff and think that someone wiĺl pay top dollar for it.......i mean who in their right mind would pay for used with a premium price
This place is neither value nor a village. Selection was decent but clothing at the same price as Winners. So unless it is a novelty or retro rarity item you might as well go buy new.
It seems as though everytime you visit the prices get higher and the items decrease in quality. ????♀️
love the skirts
Great staff
First off, I was told that the books if the is no price on them they sell for 1.99. I've been donating them so much stuff throughout the years. I bought so mane books from their and today was the worst experience I've ever had. I bought 4 books for $9.41. I mentioned that i forgot to get my free book. So I went to get another one with no price on it so it would be the 1.99 price. She told me I have to pay $3.??something to get my fee book. Im like what that doesnt make sense? She call a supervisor where she told me that these book are worth more then the other ones, I told her theirs no price so it's 1.99 ? She call a manager who was completely rude. And said that none of the books have prices, which isn't true. Secondly I just wanted me free book without paying $3.?? She said that policy doesn't exist. I asked if she can show me which books is 1.99. So refused to let me have a free book, told me to leave, threaten to call the police, because I asked her if there is no price on them do you just guess a price. She asked me to leave again... I'm like what about my free book I bought 4 of them. She said you hot a good deal now leave, I was asking her for the owners number or someone above her so can filed a complaint so refused and said get out. I asked her name and she refused. And she made a comment how she never seen me before but that's where I go for everything until this experience. I'm so not impressed how rude she was. Refuse to give my free book. Threaten to call the police? You lost all my donations and purchases if you decide to keep that women on staff, she isn't fit for management. And she is very rude.
Always a good find, just need to hunt for best bargain prices.
Hardly any good Halloween costumes that were not touched by everyone.... None were wrapped in plastic...felt creepy n dirty
Every purchase is a donation, great products to buy at very low prices
²
Prices took a huge hike. 7 bucks for a used to shirt? You can get a brand new one at Walmart for that price..
My husband and I were a little disappointed with the customer service during our last visit. we waited at the jewellery counter while one staff member chatted with another while they could plainly see us waiting for their service. My husband asked for their help. T which they responded, "We will 'call' someone." My husband replied, "Why not you? You are justl standing around chatting anyway." Their response was silence. ????
Good place to find some deals, especially as a university student.
Donated a box of clothes and decided to walk around to check out the store. Found a brand new brand name vest for a quarter of the price in store.. Never know what kind of hidden gem you'll find. Excellent happy customer service from staff!
Usually some pretty great finds around. Some overpriced items but helpful and efficient staff.
So much to choose from, well arranged and very visible directional signs
doesn't smell good inside but git so.e nice stuff for cheap
Grossly overpriced
Have found nice clothes there
Gave often found brand new menswear (Sears shirts with original tags). Kids clothes can be really good as well.
Could get lost in this store for hours... literally!! Teehee!!
Nice & fast
It was clean and had s good variety of stuff
Something for everyone...great service
GREAT PLACE TO SHOP.
Great selection!
Super busy and not much parking, but good used items
Some great stuff, just watch the prices.
Incredible stuffs. One of my favorite places in Thunder Bay.
Good place
Huge selection, great prices and most of the clothes are in good shape. Best place to buy clothing in Penticton
Huge selection in store, staff are absolutely fantastic, but I felt it was priced much higher than the West Kelowna VV. For example, a pair of Urban Star jeans that cost 19.98 at Costco brand new were priced at almost 25 dollars. A lot of lower end clothing priced incredibly high, which you expect in a consignment store but not a thrift store. I found a bottle of Tramacet (an opiate painkiller) in a pair of shoes that had meds in it, which is incredibly dangerous, obviously. Overall the place was super busy so it's possible that they are understaffed so attention to detail is suffering a bit.
I think the employees are trained to treat people with tattoos like thieves It's sad
Great deals on some great clothing and shoes.
Considering they're for profit, the prices are questionable. Clean location, friendly staff.
Was looking at wine and bar glasses.
I find that this place is starting to be a little expensive for a used clothing and second hand items store. When it first opened it was great, I enjoyed shopping. Not sure if anyone else notices this. Please, maybe double check the pieces on some of your items.
It's VV Boutique...good if you have time to hunt.
Always great to go here
Interesting. Seldom go but visit to VV BOTIQUE always fun
The prices are higher than the shoplifters.
Over priced, to much new stuff selling at full price.
Value Village is a global thrift retailer offering quality, gently used clothing, accessories and household goods.
Found what I was looking for for a fair price
Prices are much too high for donated items.. Selection is fair
It's a bit messy but the people are super friendly. Always have a blast hunting down bargains or filling my house with more stuff I don't need lol
Enjoy finding treasures. Nice staff. Small change rooms.
Great for the community
This is a really good one!
Love it but getting pricey
Sometimes one can find a good bargain
Great value in this village!
Very good place to buy used stuff, very nice quality and cheaper product could br found.
Super nice and helpful staff!
Great costumes
Are you kidding with these prices? $30 runners, $80 Lego sets? Foh
The young lady that was at the checkout named Kai ..was so kind, thoughtful and upbeat. Just wanted to say thanksomuch and keep sharing your enthusiasm and joy. It helps more than you know.
(Translated) The best is at westbank (Original) Le meilleur est a westbank
Good amount of choices compared to other thrift stores in some sections but pricer and also there is HST here
It's okay
Lots of stuff but over priced
I went early in the morning. It wasnt too busy and I found some new clothes!
Lots of good stuff!
The clothing is way over priced. You can get brand new for cheaper at many many stores. They often over price items, although I do go often enough to look for things such as puzzles, books, kitchen items and collector items. I find myself periodically leaving things behind as they've over priced it like crazy. It is however a great place to go for Halloween.
Fun as always! Picked up some great stuff.
Fair
Save your money with used items.
I'm not happy with the prices
Too expensive for clothes that look really worn...
A great place to find a bargain or get rid of one...
Amazing but expensive
Nice great place 50% off day
Clean and good selection of CDs
pretty decent as far as value villages go. it's always going to be kind of hit or miss, but we were passing through Thunder Bay and I decided to pop in. Overall I'm glad we stopped, but I feel like maybe it was kind of picked over? but it's a value village, you get what you get.
Some isles were messy, could use better cleaning staff
A bit expensive for a thrift store. But, I like how it's organized. Lots of product.
Stupide expansive I would give 0 star if possible
Great deals
A little pricey for a thrift store but there are a few good buys
Loved the store and the large selection of everything.
It is what is it. Getting.more expensive.
More staff and security than customers
Hit or miss with what you'll find here. Sometimes the prices are equivalent to a new item!
Great stuffs available
It's a pretty standard Value Village. Nothing extra special to set it apart from any other thrift store.
|Lovely staff and well organized , however almost everything is overpriced for used items. 10LB weights for $20 each - could get it brand new for that amount ????
Great items!:)
If you love used stuff, you'll love this place.
Some things are obscenely expensive for a thrift store but there are a lot of good finds.
Look at prices closely, sometimes good deals and sometimes not.
Awesome
The service was great even though it was very busy.
Better than others
Lots of variety
A lot of cool items
Clean, huge, good selection
Was expecting lower prices. Product from gently used to used. Thrift shop next door had more finds.
Overly expensive for garbage products
great finds
I never even got in the building haha
Not bad. Abit high priced though.
Enjoy the bargains
Love shopping here but make sure to pay attention to the price tags. Sometimes the clothing is still available in the original store on clearance for less than what VV wants.
Always fun to surf the items at VV. Love the bric a brack. Pricing is hilarious at times, and i have found the pricing at the Kelowna VV to be much more consistent and understandable. One third of the shoppers have no clue about lane directions, and many not wearing masks, if that matters to you. Always great for retail therapy, can get a big bag of stuff and not break the bank.
One of the bigger Value Villages I've been to, they have great selection and if you look closely you can find some hidden gems.
needs more circulation of clothes other than that.... good
Can always count on finding some really great brands and pieces. Found lots of Anthropologie and Artizia brands today. Not the most organized --every section seemed to have items mis-sized and mis-categorized. Prices are definitely a deal compared to new, but not a big bargain.
Very good service. Happy employees and good selection and pricing
Considering it is funded by mostly donated items for people who are less fortunate and can't afford to pay the new price for these items it's pretty expensive to get a pair of boots for almost $40 or a jacket for over $40 you might as well be buying it new it is a second hand store that is basically non-for-profit and I think they're taking advantage I don't think anything in that store should be priced above $20 it is for the underprivileged and those of lesser incomes therefore price accordingly. I think more people should complain about this and I believe that the people running the store should have more consideration for the less fortunate if it wasn't for this I might even give it a four-star rating but because of this I'm only giving it a two-star I hope they change their ways
Love thrift shopping, but prices have skyrocketed. Which is crazy that they are still getting everything for free....
VV makes it so easy to donate. It's great.
Great deals
Huge place
Used to love Value Village until they decide to price things more expensive than brand new instead of trying to help people
staff are not friendly, or helpful. prices are almost as cheap as Canadian tire.
Good
Staff friendly but few items from Dollar store that were over priced.
Love supporting local charities and the 3 R's ..but a person really needs to watch the prices....a lot of the clothing can be purchased new for the same or less than what this VV marks their clothing for... ????
Great deals as usual. Tons of Halloween stuff
Great Deals if you know what you're looking for
The prices are getting out of hand. On my last visit I found items priced for more than the retail price.
To expensive for used stuff . They think there stuff is gold at there prices
I always like going here. It's a treasure hunt. The washrooms are very clean. The staff is always happy and helpful. Thnx
There needs to be a online store or something not everybody wants to get up to shop
Lots of stuff but the prices are really going up. It smells bad in there as well.
Patient people Will reap the rewards
Great place to donate household goods for charity. Very good deals on used clothing, books, and other products. All money raised from in store purchases will go to charity.
0 stars for the company, but this location is fair. You can find some neat stuff, the prices are often decent and for all that's packed in the layout of the store is fine.
Way too high priced for used stuff considering it's given to them for free.
I love shopping there
Always finding deals
Prices are outrageous, clothing and other items are dirty and broken. It used to be a good store.
We like doing shopping thanks to you
The whole idea of Value Village is upsetting .. They get all thier merchandise free of charge because people donate it .. Then turn around and mark up items .. Idc if its a 100 dollar name brand pair of pants .. Somone donated them in hopes of helping somone ells who is less fortunate.. Value village has no place marking up those items . they should all be cheep regardless of thier original value ... #steelfromVV but no where ells x)
Greatest experience of my life!
No much stick
awesome things but SOME are a little more pricey than they should be, otherwise the staff is really nice!!
Amazing deals if you're actually looking.. Found a $120 Gorton hat for $5
Anything worth buying is definitely overpriced. I got super excited with a watch I found until I saw the price tag and realized I can find the same item online new for the same. Please consider supporting your local mom and pop thrift stores and donating your unwanted items to someone in need or even in your local neighbourhood Facebook group instead!
This place is too expensive. Lower the prices. Plain black shirt is $9.99..... when they $4 at Walmart& bargain store and giant tiger. Jeans are $20-$30... and they come cheaper brand new at the stores mentioned above. I'm sure they will say it's to keep the lights on but that's bull.
Great place to shop if you have time to go through everything!! Some staff are rude but overall shopping experience was ok
Absolute ridiculous pricing. Not sure why anyone supports this place. They don't even keep charitable donations in our city.
I love V.V But they should check out the merchandise to see if its rusted, has holes, WORKS...before they put tricky prices on em. I've had to return things only to find other things to match that price because they don't do cash back.
Had an amazing time here! Cheaper than other thrift stores yet full of brands :)
You have to look but if you have he extra time it's a fantastic place to get a bargain. I hsve found some high monetary items for s few lousy dollars.
Friendly staff , good finds , clean for the most part.
Great selection if you have the time to go through each item.
Definitely has a good selection but can be overpriced. There are still a lot of good items for $3-$10. However when you start selling items from urban planet for $10-$15+ that's not so great. Especially when urban planet has constant sale's. Urban planet currently have buy 1 get 1 50% off and a bunch of items 30-50% off. Lots of brand new tee's for $6-$10. The same kind of used ones value village has for $10. You always have the feeling wow this looks good but I know I can find it usually brand new for the same or cheaper.
Do yourself a favour and never visit this location, THE WORST VV ever. The layout is disgusting. One of the managers has no customer service skills, if your not a people person don't work in retail, very rude. Been in Vancouver for 27 years and this store takes the price for not changing one bit.
Excellent store, well displayed, large selections.
Best and reliable place to visit for used or donated items. Everything is perfect to buy and budget friendly.
Good value village. Clean and stocked well. Same issues as any value village franchise (overpriced for thrift, no change room during covid)
(Translated) Very cheap everything and good quality (Original) Muy barato todo y de buena calidad
Amazing place to shop and so far, people are alway nice and courteous.
It's got everything I need for my crafting hobby and more at a reasonable price.
Totally a fun time
They have a great inventory of products. Shout out to the nice lady cashier who convinced me to get a free membership.
I like the prices and the fact that they can have name-brand stuff
Great service and staff!
Good selection and some fun stuff.
Great selection
Overpriced...might as well buy new
Prices are alittle steep since they were started to help the lower income people.Plus everything they get is donated.
Good finds here.
Why have the prices skyrocket so much?! It’s a thrift shop I shouldn’t be paying $10 for a touque that a) they got for free and b) will likely give me lice… it would be a different story if there were sanitation measures first but nah
Good selection of all kinds of used goods, staff helpful too.
Total scam of a company, their making tons of cash while giving fractions of the Penny to claim charity status.
Was looking for big stuffies for the pup and found a couple.
Not value, too expensive
A home away from home..but they are charging too much nowawadays...profit is profit.
This is a secondhand store with wide variety of clothes both men and women. They have also a kids clothes section. This is a huge store, so you can also buy there some electronic devices and kitchen appliances such as plates, cups, kettle, pan, pot, and frying pan too. Sometimes you can find there some plat iron and hair drier. They have shoes department there too. The good thing is you can always find there winter and summer clothes not matter what season currently is. The store is open every day from 9 am till 9 pm except Sunday. On Sunday they work from 10 am till 6 pm. It is better to go there in the first part of the day, so it won’t be crowded, and no line to cash register. This store sometimes has discounts and sales. They do not have return policy, however, you can exchange the product you bought there for another one, and it should cost the same price. You can buy there such stuff as pillow, bag and backpack, books, different games and toys for kids. During specific holidays you can buy there thematic stuff like tree decoration goods or Halloween costumes. To sum up, they have good goods for a reasonable price, so if you want to save money go there.
Prices have gotten pretty high but still one of my favorite places to visit.
Great choice.
A little messy and not very organized, some items have no prices, so you have to ask. But you can find a lot of things for home and dresses
It's a great place to go for cheap name brands but these people are starting to sell clothing and jewelry like it's new and it's not supposed to be like that. Its supposed to be alot more cheap for the people who cant afford brand new clothing
hit or miss for me. sometimes i caml find good deals other times i feel why should i shop here if the prices are the same at regular clothing store haha
The staff is very nice
Expensive for a second hand clothing store. Every once in awhile I find some deals here but few and far between.
Used clothing store little concern on their pricing they seem to be charging almost retail.
Great selection -some items were quite over priced but still decent value
Return policy has not kept up with COVID restrictions. Exchange only which is rather inconvenient given that you can't try anything on. Having said that, there is a great selection of very unique and fun items and helpful staff.
Value Village Penticton ???????? was a great experience!! Great staff and a very clean, well organized store. Staff and customers were all totally friendly and I literally didn't wanna leave! Hahahah thanks for the experience! =)
This place should be ashamed of themselves! The take peoples donations and then charge astronomicsl prices for them making it unaffordable to those that use and need these shops! I no they hide behind the guise of giving the profits to charity but we all no that very very little goes in that direction. I even noticed a dollar store item with tag on it marked up 3 xs amd pointed it out to a clerk who then replied " well go to dollar store then no one is making you shop here!" Thank god i am able to choose different stores but many people that are on tight bugets depend on the deep discount gently used items usually are. I would recomend using a thrift store youll get a bit of better bargain there
Favourite shopping spot....
Way over priced
Lots to look at lots to buy 50% off sale helped a lot
This is not a charity. This is a business who takes your donations and sells them for profit. Why would you give someone your stuff for free? Salvation army actually uses the profit from the goods received, and puts them directly into programs run in our city. Much better option.
(Translated) Very useful second-hand objects (Original) Objetos de segunda mano muy útiles
Overpriced gifted items
Over priced I think
Decent stuff for decent prices
Experienced staff
Didn't like what i see
Everything is getting too expensive for used goods
Has a good variety of items but prices seem to rise over the years... almost the same price for new jeans, as for used jeans at value village for example. But I've also found nice jewelry for a good price.
Pretty decent place with good prices.
If you are into hunting you could find something decent
Good shop. If you are looking for less expensive second hand goods this is the best place. You can get dresses, electronic items, furniture etc.. Good customer service as well
Usually has what i am looking for. Always busy here. Very busy this time of year for Halloween???? excellent costumes. Grab it while they have it. Sells out fast!
(Translated) Mild (Original) Leve
Over rated but have good clothing and odds and ends but a bit pricey for a thrift
Very overpriced. Especially when they get everything free. Some prices are outrageous. Was looking at these boots and I couldn't believe the price. $30.00. I don't see any value there
Oh come ON!!! Is this a JOKE!!!!???? George Walmart shirts are $4-$10 brand new and Gildan is $5 new
Besides over priced they have a wide variety of everything.
A lot of items are overpriced, but you can find a gem once in a while.
Absolutely love this place. You need to do the work of you want to find something you like but it is my favourite place to shop for me and my kids.
Great place to shop!
Almost always find a treasure!
Great selection, lots of holiday items and friendly staff
Overpriced for a thrift store and they're a for profit organization thrift store. All the items they get are donated, and yet, they charge tax on all items you buy there. Go to the salvation army for thrift shopping; better prices and non profit org that all the money goes back into the community.
The Value Village in Penticton is very cool, and has a lot of brand new stuff ;)
Lots of overpriced items. This is supposed to be a thrift store, not a Ebay store for some items.
Getting vary expensive for things almost the same price as walmart .i think it is unjustified when it is donated for free . was vaulue village not set up to help the less fortunate.
Expensive for second hand clothes.
Well stocked, easy to find with ample parking.
Has an odd smell and is a bit over priced for a thrift store
Clothes are a tad over pr.
Overpriced
This used to be a great place to go for second hand items, however, in the last few months the prices have skyrocketed. When you can buy the same item for less brand new why bother shopping here.
Just dirty
My favorite value village. Great prices vs others I've been to in Winnipeg
Great staff at this Thunder Bay, Ont. location as I'm a resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Cheers for the great C.D. selection to occupy my time when the radio signal diminishes for my 8-hour road trip back to Winnipeg.
Always great selection. But clothing is over priced on alot of items. There was a couple Walmart brand George t-shirts for $7 each. I can go buy brand new shirts for $5 each at Walmart.
This is the best Value Village in the Okanagan.
Overcharges for donated items. Total rip off. I refuse to shop here. The care closet in penticton on main street is the best thrift store in town by far. Nicest staff, amazing prices. I now take all my donationg to the care closet.
worst priced thrift store option by far. always busy and under staffed. The few staff that are there generally ignore you and the one manager Bela that has been working the last few times ive been in is one of the rudest people ive ever met and shouldnt be working with the public on a whole.. she is dismissive and acts annoyied over any request be it by customers or fellow staff (asking to see something in a display case or for the price of something missing its tag for example...when a coworker has asked for help they wave them off like they should know better then to bother her) will actively be avoiding visiting in the future
If you need a certain thing, you may have a chance to find it there...
Had to purchase a jacket, found the perfect one.
Like to go see the new arrivals you can find all you need at a great price.
There is no value to this village
This place is picked over often. The things that are left if you don't get them right away are not great.
Good place to find nice use clothing
Always lots of goods to be found here for cheap.
The security is making me feel like a theif even when I'm paying,,and anyone who sells donated goods at their price is not fair and it feels like they take advantage of the struggling street ppl that don't have a penny to their name or a struggling single parent..overall I feel the judgment right away and get fallowed by security...on the other hand I had to go to change because I was on the street, full time at 1 point of my life,,so I'm able to c through both point of view
My Wife Shop's There
Everything is priced to high
If you find new things just grab and proceed to checkout Cons Lot things are used items but be careful while taking particular products especially shoes as a lot of them stinks
A good place to find what you need, staff is friendly and prices are good as long as you're not antiquing or buying anything new. Bonus of being a thrift store that does not condone throwing LGBT people on the street! Looking at you, Salvation Army.
I love pouring through all the items on offer a VV! The book section is decent as well.
Staff is super friendly. Can always find a good amount if clothes for the kids. Just wish the dressing rooms weren't closed. But understandable with covid rules. …
I came to Value Village on Hastings St. expecting more, to be honest. This was my first visit there and over the years I'd heard good things about this place, both for it's ever changing selection and pricing. Unfortunately, on this visit the men's clothing section was underwhelming. Too many clothes, but not enough good items. I guess it'll be up to you to figure it out if there's anything worth your time there. However, their prices are not necessarily low, and in some cases, they are the same you would pay at regular retail. This seems to be a common complaint if you read other reviews for Value Village these days... Maybe worth another visit. Bring your face mask.
Reasonably good thrift store. Selection of clothing is often better than Salvation Army but still somewhat lacking especially for men. Sells new Halloween costumes every year at a good price
I love hunting for a great deal. Excellent variety of items from toys to furniture, or linens to brand name clothing
Fairly large TV but has had boarded over windows for 2 years
I was at this location yesterday (February 6, 2022.) and was badly mistreated by the security guard. I noticed he had been following me as I was looking over the skirts, t-shirts and toys. The only times did he not follow me was when I was browsing downstairs and the jewelry section. Eventually I asked him politely what was wrong and he said nothing. I went on with my browsing and as I went to leave the store he popped out of nowhere and asked if "I had purchased my Value Village bag" I should also mention he saw me enter with it and it remained by my side the whole time. And now he has this sneaky impression I stole it. I bought this in Langley at the VV store. And I usually bring it with me when I plan to go thrifting for long hours on the weekend I told him that I had and again politely excused myself to leave. I WILL NOT be returning to this location. Prices are overpriced and the toys and downstairs is idisorganized and I do not appreciate being harassed by the security guard by the doors for implying I shoplifted my bag and any item in my bag. I would gladly show any receipt if he asked me for one. But I think after what I had experienced was enough to not make me wish to return back to this Value Village location for a long time. ????????????????
There weren't too many people in the store which was nice. Bring your own hand sanitizer because there's are mostly empty or ask at the cash for some. The prices are a bit higher than other Thrift stores I have visited and they do not offer student discounts. Also wear light clothing to try things on over your clothing because they do not have fitting rooms right now and it is unclear whether they will be bringing them back.
Overpriced unbelievably a rip-off store would not recommend to no one
There was a line up (Due to covid) and it was a hot day, good thing there was shade.... Friendly employees
Prices are as high as new. Might as well just buy new and clean.
This store is not for me.... looks like an old garage sale ... also its smelly ..
Friendly atmosphere. You can find grate deals there sometimes
Best selection of Halloween costumes in town.
Found a left handed baseball glove. Who da thunk!
Management at the local level is terrible. Some of the staff is nice enough that they make up for the staff that aren't.
Love the hours. Good variety. Appreciate the deals, like 50%off women's pants! I needed pants and your deal made me come in and get 4 pairs.
You would be surprised at what you find here. When shopping for a suit jacket for a Halloween costume. It was actually so nice I use still and I have some expensive suits.
Obscene pricing on old shoes, 49.99 for a pair of pumas that retail brand new for 79.99. insane. Definitely recommend the thrift shop down the street westbound on the same side. Support small business anyways.
Pricing is very often close to new in name brand store....love shopping for deals so I watch carefully.
I was uncomfortable in Value Village. Almost no one wore a mask. I found it impossible to stay away from other people as there were no one way isles and there is only one double door for both in and out. People were handling all the merchandise. I did not see any sanitizer.
Nice store still making vistits to find the gems!
Loved this place. Lot of donated goods.
Clean and amazing staff. Usually very busy.
(Translated) Thieves should be called thieves' village (Original) Des voleur sa devrais s'appeller village des voleurs
I wish the prices were better. Its all donated items
Found a brand new davids bridal bridesmaid dress for 22$ !! Tags and all !
Great selection of items
I go here at least once a week looking for bargains. Most of the time it is great, but my only complaint would be that some times their pricing is out to lunch so do your homework.
I hate Value Village because they do not donate any of their profits to charity I think when I Googled it it said less than 2% and yet look at the extremely high prices they charge especially compared to Salvation Army who donates 100% of the proceeds. Please stop taking your donations to Value Village People!
Considering all their stock is donated.. their prices could be lower
They have many things in it like clothing, books, toys, etc..
A bit on the expensive side
Amazing store. Helpfull friendly staff
Friendly and helpful staff, good selection, fairly priced product.
Noice place for a quick shopping when you are low on budget.
I will never shop here ever I was appuled at the prices a mug 2 dollars used candels 3 dollars how can people afford to shop here I bought a pair of shoes I liked 25 dollars I wanted to return the same day they said you can only exchange plus they tax you .buy new on some items it's cheaper
Bad choice of charity and pretty small donations in comparison to other thrift stores but a really good selection of stuff and good prices too
NFG prices to high!!
Very good
Did not shop. Only donated clothing there
neat
Clean, orderly and a place to find good used clothes and pass on gently used old stuff.
Clean store
I'm A Value Village fan. Once in a while I buy new stuff when I have the money. Sometimes when I have money I drop off to Value Village to see what hidden gems I can find. I've often walked away with a lot of awesome stuff.
One man's trash is another man's treasure and there are lots of treasures here
Lots of great things for all people. Super helpful for students. However it is clear that they could use more help to help with overall cleaning of the store. Overall, good store and shop here often.
Changing rooms closed and no returns. Sad that we can't even try new styles. If you're looking for 18 to 24 month old clothing there's close to nothing. The books section is cool
$35 for no name brand, unlined snow pants. Honestly your prices have gotten out of hand
Support Penticton buisness
Typical VV experience
Great place to find good quality used items. I find that they are slightly overpriced however still not too expensive.
The guys section is usually slim Pickens for anything good and anything good they do have in there is SUPER over priced or damaged. The damaged stuff still gets sold for an unreasonable price with no care to its customers.
I think..it's one of best place to shop if you are on a tight budget!
Good selection. Prices decent but getting a little too pricey now. Shoes are getting priced at $14.99 and $19.99 now. Purses are getting priced too high. Took a friend from US there last week who said our prices were way higher than the US ones.
Value village is Value village
Too expensive for a thrift store.
We have Goodwill Stores in Nevada, Arizona and Calif.
Overpriced used clothing.....when you see a Dollarstore hat with a $2 price tag still attached being sold for $3...... WHO DA F♤CK prices this stuff........Go to the Salvation Army next door first
Nice big outlet and great deals some of the offers. Although some seem to match those of brand new items rather than 2nd hand. Paying a bit too much for used items.
Good selection of items. Does sell stained clothing. Watch for this!
Penticton dirty inside and out... unlike others I go to
Value village stores are always a lot of fun. I like the change rooms and the electronic section. I've been to this location many times. The people are nice and only a security guard sometimes. Not very often.
Good prices cheaper than the Care Closet on main street
Went there for job interview, didnt get the position, however, there are some real great deals.
Good variety selection of children's clothes. The organization is a little confusing. The boy and girls clothing was mislabeled. Good selection of children's shoe, however they were quite dirty. I suppose that depends on donations though
Great selection. Prices are not great. Try Sally Ann or Walmart (on sale) for cheaper clothing items.
Sooooooo much product is stained or damaged to the point it shouldn't be for sale. Prices are insane for donated second hand trash. Also I fell off an elliptical and the staff kind of just stared at me and didn't ask if i was okay. Rude.
Disappointing selection of music and electronics.
This place was not as crowded as it usually is. Staff were great. All good.
I find some good stuff here. Not overly priced for decent clothes
A wide variety of stuff that is poor quality. Anything you might find that is good quality is almost always overpriced.
if you need clothing its not to bad, but most everything else I can find in better condition for the same cost or cheaper somewhere else, usually from a local store. I understand its a "For Profit" thrift store, but that doesnt mean they can charge retail or above for items they get for free.
Prices are high.
Value village is similar to the Salvation Army thrift stores, but value village I find can be pricey on some used products, but generally well tolerated in the price ranges across the stores inventory which changes daily, so keep going back if you don't find anything on your first try.
Two space heaters for sale were not checked properly. Both had issues.
This is my first time here at this wonderful establishment. Aside from the 'let it all hang out' atmosphere noted in above photo, this store was clean, tidy, super nice staff. Very well laid out. Perhaps cross legs in future so lil old ladies don't run away. Other than that, this is like the best yard sale, ever... but inside. Five balogna rolls outta five!!!
Some items are priced higher than you can buy new
There is a good selection of clothes and it is always changing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only issue I have is with their prices. A lot of the stuff is priced way too high for a second hand store.
Had fun exploring the clothing in this store and looking at the Halloween costumes. Your typical second hand store. If you have the time I am sure most people can find some decent clothing. Or if you looking for work clothing it is a great place to get cheep jeans that you will not mind getting dirty or wrecked.
Value village Canada is overpriced. needs to work on their pricing structure. The place is always overcrowded with merchandise. Rotating 50% off a color tag. Problem solved.
Good selection!
Was an ok outlet until one of the staff decided to be overly militant and rude about the "Rules" about trying on a shirt over a shirt because they were "contaminated". Rude, defensive, foolish and obviously trying to act like a boss for that next .25 cent promotion. Threatening to call the police and ban someone from the store for questioning them. Go elsewhere.
This is the cleanest, most organized Value Villiage I have been to. It is a great place for men's clothes in particular.
Very organized and very clean store. Well taken care for.
Excellent household items
Meh. They set their donations from people to sell back to people at grossly overcharged rate. Considering this chain is no longer non profit but owned by Walmart, I don't Shope here anymore that reason
Good place to shop for used items. Staff servicing needs to improve.
Clerks always willing to help.
VV is a good service to some but when they sell a winter jacket for $250.00 that was donated and now you can't use the dressing room, permently closed. So now you buy something and they won't even give you a credit..you have to exchange it with something else. This place is getter worse buy the day. I'm avoiding this place from now on.
always something if interest but prices are high for free stuff and clothing is not always in good shape
Good deal there for dvd and vhs and games
When your looking for the things that you can't find in a regular store, this is the place that you will surely find it. May take a few trips, but it does eventually show up on the selves...
You never know what you'll find. A bit of junk to sort through but definitely something for everyone
Not a good selection of Halloween costumes. Saw none that wasn't used.
polite staff but the prices are way to high considering that the items are second hand, absolutely ridiculous for them to want items at the prices listed, especially for it to not even be a charity like other thrift stores in the city.
Clean and affordable
Way to night priced . its used stuff not new.
Decent store for what it is. Only downfall is the actual people that shop here - I encounter more rude people than considerate ones here than I do anywhere else
(Translated) For a shop that gets goods for free sometimes just a supposedly vintage toy figurine at $40.. When you make more than 100% profit I find that sometimes it's overkill. (Original) Pour une boutique qui reçois des biens gratuitement parfois une simple figurine jouet supposé vintage à 40$ .. Quand tu fais plus de 100% de profit je trouve que parfois c'est exagéré.
Over priced and rude staff
Find it to be a little expensive on certain items.
Great staff!
Previously enjoyed items at a discount price
Prices are getting way too high for stuff that is donated for free and I know I'm not the only one who agree with that statement
I always find something wonderful when I shop here. The staff are friendly and helpful.
I like this place but I gotta keep an eye on prices, they are sometimes outrageous.
When you have to spend $20 for a pair of jeans that somebody else wore for 5 years there's something wrong
A little pricey for donated free stuff
Good variety of clothes. Staff is nice enough
Nice stuff but a little pricey
Pricing is hit and miss. $6.99 for a pair of decent Levis jeans and I found a basic white t-shirt from Wal Mart marked $9.99. some good deals to be had hit you really have to weed thru the place.
My go-to, you can find anything from antiques to new things for decent prices, there's no guarantee you'll always find something but there's definitely lots of options, but you have to constantly look if you're in need for something specific
Overpriced
This place has a lot of different clothes. There are also other items that are quit unique.
It's awesome everything you need they have it for good prices too well for me cause I find cheap prices torn off n fallen on the floor so I use it so it's pretty good so it's dope I live Vallie village.
Great prices for Halloween decorations , chocolates and sweet treats.
Video games sell for whole retail
A good place for a quick visit to find something new to you or a little treasure for someone els, pricing for some of there products is in my opinion to much concidering items where given to them, when shopping a d donatinf, PLEAS NOTE!! this is a FOR PROFIT organisation, it is not a charity, they donate to the diabetes association but I do recommend to look for alternate options for donation since other organisations are fully non profit and the large majority of sales go back to the community.
Very good selection of dry goods and house hold items. Also decent pricing.
Nice bought brand new sweater low price
Yep, OK place, hard to rate, yes, OK!
Good prices and nice quality
Used clothing is clean. Good selection of Halloween costumes
Good place
Incredible deals to be found if you just take some time and look around. Many UNOPENED items for pennies on the dollar.
It was ok
Not having change rooms is a pure scam! I can’t stand returning things that don’t fit and looking for the right receipt. it’s also extremely stressful and a hassle just to come back to look for something to exchange items to. It’s horrible, not only it’s disgustingly and disrespectfully overpriced, charging $20 for a H&M t shirt that would have been on sale rack brand new for $5. People who work here are hard working people, this review isn’t about them, it’s about greed this company imposes on our communities.
Can find some great stuff at a really cheap price sometimes, always lots f clothes in all sizes, furniture and more
(Translated) A lot of choices (Original) Beaucoup de choix
I got lots for cheap. Good place to go shopping
Love shopping here. Go almost every Tuesday for 30% senior discount. Well organized. Not too crowded.
Always find something I need, books, clothes, stuff for kids, and staff is always friendly. Thank you!
Prices are waaaay too high these days! Charging this way for donated items is discusting.
Exchange only? Really? Some prices were not much different from Walmart. I think I will go to the Teen and Adult Challenge store.
Good finds
Good bargans
DO NOT SHOP HERE. They will take your money. They got rid of their change rooms and don't do returns or exchanges. Owners should be ashamed. It would appear those in charge are do not care about their employees or their customers. Would give negative stars if I could. Not worth the gas it takes to arrive.
Clean and pretty big. Best choice for thrifty shopping in the south Okanagan.
Second hand goods
If you're a fat guy looking for a cheap swimsuit you can't beat this place.
I feel that the prices keep getting higher.
Good selection but high prices for used clothing.
Prices have increased
Overpriced thrift store. Some good items but when you consider they get their stuff by donation, the prices they want for second hand clothing are well above average thrift store prices. Security and staff can be abrasive.
Still cheap to pick up some nice used clothes but the prices r going up, not good. Come on Value Village......u get your friggin stock for free. What gives?
I have donated hundreds of dollars in furniture and clothing to value village over past few years , took a van load of furniture and clothing to Penticton location in july of this year , today I went to exchange a pair of jeans 7.99 as they were to big , I had picked out a pair for 9.99 I had the receipt , but the tag was off the jeans I was turned down flat ,I am 73 years old and I certainly would not con anyone out of a 8 dollar pair of used jeans, needless to say , you have loss a customer and I will never donate another item to your store !!!
It was okay
So far so good..fresh start ....Living in town now, found goods looking for..
Good service, proper price, friendly staffs.
Great value. Sort of a cross between a low end department store and a flea market.
Charge too much when they get it all for free
Prices to high
95% of my clothes come from" V.V. boutique" people think I buy high end brand new!
It is a well organized thrift store with a "one stop shop" mentality. There is everything from kids clothes to computers, and is very reasonably priced.
Getting more costly to shop but there are some deals
Amazing
Highly knowledgeable and helpful staff.
Good
It's expensive compare to Walmart...
OVER PRICED! GREEDY PEOPLE! I came in to buy a pair of pants that cost me $16 to find out that they're only worth $10 at Walmart !! get a grip Value Village,I will NEVER go there again!
Fun Place to find the Unusual!
Occasionally you'll find something good but a lot of the items are priced as if it were brand new and not exactly "thrift store" prices. Like glass vases you can get from the dollar store brand new for $2-4 listed for $7-8 at VV.
The manager/shift supervisor lady is overtly aggressive over nothing and can be often seen intimidating or abusing employees. There's definitely at least one person doing pricing that has no clue about the value of any of the items. More often than not you can find broken or worn Dollarama or Ikea items priced higher than retail. The small appliances are also often priced at more than 50 percent of their original retail despite being dirty, missing pieces or broken. You really have to know what you're looking at because this is not the kind of thrift store that guarantees a low or even fair price. They also price certain brands of clothing quite high automatically without checking for stains, holes, wear along the seams, broken zippers or misshapen items. This store is good because they have such a vast selection that you can actually look for a specific item and find it but you have to be shrewd in order to not get swindled. The floor employees are kind, doing their best, but clearly working in a toxic environment which is sad.
Over price second hand item like many of those store under the voleurs village
I love looking through new to me items. I enjoyed looking and filling my basket of my finds. I would go back when in the area
One star because the things that don't have prices get brought to the back and typically a greater amount is put in place. This happened a few times. Never noticed until I actually lost a tag that was 2.99 and i told them and they sent it back anf had it returned to cash with a 10.99 price tag on it.
Clean store, well organized and plenty of cashiers
Great staff
Although expensive for a second hand value store, they do carry numerous items from tools to hats.
Great store. Clean and organized. Will shop again.
Prices are on the high side but have a good selection
Smaller than most, selection isn't great just due to size.
Very cheap here
Excellent
Always great products and friendly staff
Clean, friendly host, made sure social distancing was followed. Found an awesome camera for a new photographer beginning and now reaching my brother in law.
Clean, quality choices, friendly staff
Extremely expensive prices, a total ripoff that does very little for the community. Making a fortune for Value Village only!!!
Its was good but some of the prices weee over priced overall still good
Inexpensive find different things
Has enough stuff for everyone there
It was very busy. Shoppers were not respecting social distancing.
Flexible hours excellent service
No change rooms. Crowded aisles. Pricey for second hand
Didn't have what i was looking for but they had a lot of stiff there besides clothes and very good process on stuff. I will definitely go back there next time i go to TBay
Staff is alway helpful but recently security said I took too long.. An hour hmm so he searched my bag... Wow
Good place to shipping for all u need your home or yourself or People.
It's expensive
Over priced for all donated stuff
I just find this store value village not very financial leave for people that don't have money it's very expensive
Starting to overprice forgetting the product is used as is item. Nickel and dollaring by selling power adapters and accessories separately
Great placeto shop good prices great selection
Always worth a look to see what goodies can be found from clothing to home improvement needs . Low prices on used items.
Glad you can exchange things that don't fit
Now this Value VILLAGE was not like any other Value VILLAGE for I found jeans for cheapest ever. I mean ever and I've Bern to a lot of value Villages. Great place this one.
My go-to place for everything needed! It's always clean, organized and full of bargains! Staff are always very helpful. Hours of operation are great and open until 9 pm. Ample parking with handicapped allocations. Washroom available inside at the back. This store also brings in brand new holiday celebration items for Christmas, Halloween, etc. So a little for everyone.
Always a great stop....thankyou..????
Has a decent variety of books and lots of clothing and sorted alright I guess, could have better signage to direct people to what they are looking for but altogether alright.

Over priced
Prices have soared! Towels are 4.99 and dresses are 19.99. Christmas tree I looked at was 89.99. Picked up a few odds and ends.
Good
Prices are kind of high.
To whom this may concern: I went to value village east Hastings 1820 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5L 1T2 on this past Saturday the 19th. I have never been to this store before but I was in the area so I decided to stop by. I was looking in the handbags/shoes area and I ran into the most disgruntled employee I have ever come across. She was so entirely rude I almost felt like crying. If you go anywhere near this woman she snarls and if you ask her a polite question she looks at you blankly and huffs and puffs. Her name is SHARRY (I think) and she should not be anywhere near customers let alone working a CUSTOMER service job. She is the reason why I will NEVER EVER come back to this store. I have a feeling I am not the only one who has ever complained about this scorned woman before. It was like walking on eggshells around Her and the customers next to me were all in total disbelief with how rude she was. She is a bigger woman who is white with greyish hair, her name is sharry I think. Shorter hair and prob 50/60s in age. I never write bad reviews but I really felt the need to let the higher ups know what is going on at this store. Thanks for your time.
Prices too high for used goods
the clothes here are more expensive than most retail outlets. Furthermore, employee moral is incredibly low which is indicative of bad management. That alone is a deal breaker for me.. also the trampoline i had bought is missing parts
The staff were very friendly ,explain a new policy put in place about returns. And nice and clean.
Way over priced and could use a cleaning.
Hard to find staff to help you but if your adventurous you'll find what you need
Can always find treasure among the rest of the stuff
Overpriced and many items are dirty or damaged.
Love it
The tshirt prices are hilarious.....$7 for a used shirt that costs $5 new at walmart LOL OK THEN BYE!
Prices seem to be constantly increasing
Great for bargins
Some other patrons aren't very respectful of distancing others, but that can only be helped so much.
Bought some awesome stuff at a great deal .great customer service
Had what I was looking for but find vv to be getting a little expensive.
They have items that are very useful and I like their pants because they're broken in and fit my legs.
My only problem i have is that they keep reducing the size of the mens wear. It is now 1/3 of its original size from when the store opened
Not too many Halloween costumes this year and looks like some from last year you can do better than that
Some good finds to be had..but definitely alot of overpriced items
Interesting Halloween costumes and ideas.
Clean and well organized. Prices are not the best. Other thrift stores offer much lower prices. Selection of goods is good.
Smells funny inside
Love VV boutique as long as they keep thier prices reasonable.
Lots of selection, but prices seem high for donated items.
Always finding lots of little surprises. Good for all kinds of different items at a good price
Pretty over priced for a second hand store, better off going to Salvation army it's about 40 percent cheaper.
Cleanest VV I have been in
It was ok. Just didn't understand why there are no changing rooms to try the clothes.
Good finds always...i am a member great Rewards!!!
Found a cool ski suit
Large location but customer service can be slow especially at the locked areas (ie. jewelry)
It smells funny. But sometimes there's great things for decent prices.
Too expensive and poor quality control at this location. Bought a belt to go with a Halloween costume and it broke apart after an hour. Shouldn't have been on the floor for sale to begin with.
Great finds today
I go there to shop for cloths great prices
Big selection - reasonable prices.
Expensive at times!!
Very expensive
Love my finds
I love shopping here! Everyday is a new find, sometimes you find something the next day. 90% of the time, the prices are good and glad they have a membership system ????????????
Good assortment of stuff cheap
Their book selection is awesome especially if you want children's books it's the best way to buy them for inexpensive. Plus if you buy 4 you get one free!
Excellent finds and great prices
They have something for everyone!
Easy to find things and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The store was busy and I still got in and out of there in 10 minutes
Prices are really getting out of hand here they think they're an antique store
Good clean selection clean store
For a dirty store that doesn't have to pay for inventory, pays staff minimum wage and has racks jam packed with garbage, the prices are quite high. I came here looking for some workout clothes and they want $15 for stretched, stained, and pilling yoga pants. On the upside security was really good about enforcing masks.
Lately, the interest in this location has picked up and I see a lot more resellers. Value Village has increased prices accordingly, and you're less likely to get a "find", or great deal than in the past. Many necessities are still reasonably priced for those on a budget. Baby clothes are sold in bulk. Pots and pans can be found cheap, though plates can be close to what they'd cost new at a big box store. Books are still buy 4 get 1 free.
Charge you way too much for things they get free. Biggest rip off ever.
Overpriced. Many items have holes or stains and one of the staff members actually told me some people love that. I don't think so... It's stunk and the holes were not trendy holes
Meh its alright..prices a little high but I usually find what I need
Yes, some items are overpriced, but others are very reasonable-I found the staff to be helpful. ALSO, unlike some other thrift stores, Value Village has paid employees - the staff are NOT volunteers, their wages and rental of store, electricity costs, water costs, insurance costs etc. have to be paid even if you are selling donated goods-get real people!
Prices are pretty high
Lots of stuff if you need a specialty item
Good selection of clothes, toys and books. Awesome for Halloween
Always good deals for 925 silver jewelry....nice stuff. Lots of good deals just have to look often. Best feeling ever a good affordable deal.
Prices are ridiculous cheaper to shop @ walmart
Open good hours
Terrible. Honestly went there for a deal on a wack load of kids/baby clothes and walked out with nothing for the kids. It's so over priced and when we payed the cashier even stated that there is new workers in the back that aparantly don't know how to price items so that's why things are being over priced. Bought 6 items and payed 48$. Went to Wal-Mart after and found many shirts that are bran new and cost less then value village used items ? Now explain that... so done and will not go back.
Great selection, helpful staff!
The store is small and clean
Awesome service....people were nice and helpful
A bit expensive for donated stuff from community, yet can still get some great deals.
I always have fun looking at the stuff. They have lots of comic books right now. Lol
Decent, affordable used items
I always like to support both the store and the environment but repurposing items. I bought 3 lovely hand made ceramic coffee mugs.
A little expensive but clean
Great deals
I love Value Village! This location is awesome!
I always find the books I want to read at a fair price...some other things are overpriced. Overall nicest, cleanest and most organized VV I've seen so far.
I was very upset going into value village. I found quite a few items that had the original price tags on them and the price they had was more than the original. Then I went into the clothes and found a lot of the pants were stained or torn and priced $5-$10. I will not be going back there when I can by new for a few extra $$
Priced too high
Value Village Penticton, like all V.V., is highly priced, and line ups at the till are guaranteed, even in slow periods. But I still go and check it out.
Beautiful store
I have a hard time with the pricing of this store. I use to be able to come in to this place and get a good pair of Jean's for 5 dollars. Now they are 12-15 dollars and up. For a place that has its stuff donated I think they could do better on there pricing. The atmosphere is ok.
Their staff is a mix of amazing and sometimes really awful service. So i can't really decide if its good or not. Their behind the counter "higher price items" is a nightmare to get to as one staff can only help at a time and one item can be viewed by customers at a time. Nonetheless, the stores often have good items. Yesterday i found a ted baker!!!!!!!!!!
Great place to find variety of stuff in good cheap price and good range
So much to choose from and always a great find and just a fun place to shop
Cheep place
It's better to wait for 50% off days to afford clothes - looked at donated/used cardigan & it was priced ar $24.99 - it stayed at store To my disappointment
Good condition of used products. Few products price are higher but overall good place to buy for temporary needs
The management and security here both profile people and will ban anyone they think "looks like a criminal".
Over Priced, Higher than Store Prices. Girls Walmart Dress r $5. U hv it Priced $10. Lol Etc....
Good selection friendly helpful service
Expensive for used items.
Too expensive for donated stuff. Salvation army is much less expensive and the money really goes to charity
Prices are way too high!!!! 15.99 for a pair of womens shorts. Not an article of clothing under 10.00. Salvation Army right beside it way cheaper
Lots of stock prices high
Everything you need is here
Great selection. Prices are kind of mixed. Sometimes fair... sometimes you could buy the item for the same price brand new. ????
Always fantastic choices. Clean, great staff
Always something interesting there, sometimes I just pop in on a hunch and bam!!!
Always helpful staff
Ok
I didn't find anything I had to have.
I found the prices to be high for those on low income...Women's pants for almost $12.00... can buy them the same or cheaper at discount shops. Store smelled like "old lady's stockings". Needs to have air circulated and clothing freshened...febreeze?
What can I say? It's Halloween shopping time and Value Village has the best selection.
large selection of used clothing with more variety than you would find in any local chain store
I like overall shopping here, staff is friendly and for the most part the prices are okay. They do overprice brand name item's but that's to be expected I suppose.
It is pretty grand store and really good variety of products though bit over priced and crew are not much friendly.....
Great place to find hidden treasures! This is a large Value Village that always has a big selection.
They got me... not paying attention seen tags were on, figured 4.99 is fair for a new toddler outfit..got home seen 4.00 clearance tag from walmart and value village likely got it free...
Things are starting to be overpriced. There are lots of things in there that should be sold for less. This is a store that should be helping others and not just lining there own pockets.
Love the place! But...prices are getting to be a liitle much
Always find great deals for what your looking for
The staff there is amazing!
Cheap stuff! You could find that odd thing you're looking for.
!! Careful what you obtain !! -- Many Items are priced more expensive than new, often with original price still on item. -- Often, sets are missing pieces Recently bought a box supposed to have a water mill, box was filled with cough candy. Value of Candy, less than bpx price.
good place for good cheap items pickup a couple of nice comforters for $35.00 . check it out
Great place for used books and CD
????
Decently clean, line wasn't too long either. There is no fitting rooms right now, which sucks but is understandable.
Clean store, great prices !
Gets everything for free charges above retail prices for things total rip off
Food is high price
Overpriced poor quality items. There's a really nice thrift store about 100 metres down the road, head there instead if you don't want to be ripped off on staff marking up prices at the tills and faulty electronics
Lots of great things for you and the family and your home and prices are great also
Always find what i need n they also got discounts with my membership with mb.
Tuesday is seniors day 30 percent off on everything!! I bought 4 pairs of jeans for $42.00. You can't beat that deal!!
If you want to buy new clothes go to walmart as that's the prices you see here for "USED GOODS".
Value village in Penticton is so over priced, you can literally buy brand new clothes for what they want for their used stuff..
It's nice see things that have lots of life left in them getting a second chance.
Good selection... reasonable prices on most items.
Smells like dirty laundry in there
They sell products more then what it's worth
Amazing selection on everything from dishes to clothing.
I am not coming bak to this store anymore, very rude staff. There were a bunch of christmas trees without a price, I asked how much they were. The cashier shouted loud " do the rest of your shopping and then ask another cashier how much they are" I came back after 10 mins asked again, she shouted even louder " I said do the rest of your shopping and come back" I said I have no more shopping, I want to know the price to decide. Then she said I had to stand in the cashier line first and ask the price when it's my turn. I said I don't want to buy anything to stand in the line! Then they said I have to lift the whole christmas tree to the cashier if I want to know the price. I myself have been a customer service representative for years but we never treat a customer like this.
I bought a onszee,a gorgeous housecoat,2stretchies pants, toaster, pink cool pants writing's on them.really cool stuff. Now @home waiting to get them tomorrow.
Almost everything over priced. Very little Halloween selection this year.
Better value at Winners clearance rack.VV is mostly a rip off value wise. Washington State supreme court up held a case against VV. Doesn't do anything for the local economy.
I enjoy going into this place as everything nicely organized. I was looking for special small wired decorationing cages when l ask about them one of the floor girls were able to take me right to them. I just love this store and it is always cleanly kept. WAY TO GO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. ..
It was good ????
Love this place for work clothes.
Decent second hand store, lots of bargains.
Store was extremely busy and full of stuff at great deals. Only sad thing was there are No size 5 women runners... parking is hard to come by so shop when they open for a better chance, then walking 6 blocks or more.
A bit pricey but lots of variety.
Service is nice and people are there to help you if you need to find something
Items very cheap some almost new
Great values
Good selection
Overpriced !!! Considering that every thing is donated to them. They should be ashamed of the themselves. I saw a pair of dollar store glasses that they were selling for $5.99.that was all scratched up. Also a used jacket vest for $44.95 I saw the exact same one at a store in Chinatown brand new for $24.99. Salvation Army stores are almost as bad. Without a doubt the Union Gospel Mission thrift shop on Hastings St. is the best and most fairly priced store there is. Also alot of their items are brand new.
Awsome store nixe environment and always has great stuff and hood prices
My rating would be a 4☆☆☆☆ . Only because they have raised prices up by almost 3 times the prices prior to covid19
It was a good night for shopping. Friendly fun staff:)
Terrific
To expensive
I recently visited this Salvation Army and was shocked to find out how insanely high the prices are here. You can’t find a men’s t-shirt under $15, which, most of the time, is actually priced higher than you would spend if you bought these shirts brand new. They’re literally selling old, worn, and dirty clothing for $60 here. It’s truly shocking. It made me so angry because they’re getting these goods for free and pocketing the money.Thrift stores are supposed to be cheap to encourage people to be more sustainable and to also help customers who wouldn’t be able to afford these items new. Sadly, that is not the case here. What a greedy corporation. I purchased a DVD here with scratches, so I asked if it was returnable if it doesn’t work and was told no. No exchanges, no refunds, no returns. Even if you buy it broken.
It is what it is...
Very helpful staff
Always great prices and you never know what you will find, this has always been my favorite store.
Nice store lots of nice things and kept very neat and tidy.
There's a security guard there now!!.
Expensive!!!
Good allocation and placement of items. Friendly staffs.
Love the endless walls of grab bags.
Apparently they are in the business of selling single rolls of toilet paper now! $2 for a single roll!! :D
Dump.
Lots of newer items
Treasure hunting
The prices are too high.I walked out on empty.
You can find a lot of second hand things, it's a little bit more expensive than other ones but still cheap
The veteran staff are super friendly rhonda, the jewellery manager dude, Jackie and If Kat treats me like family Y te selection seems to not be as promising tho anymore.good finds when explore for hours Unlike Sally Anne they 3e honest and fair if you'd Find a rae2 expensive item and puft it aside they ensure you receive it p. After finding a 20000 paintinga at Sally I paid for it and he to go grab my clothes for, dressing room, back at till I was rudely rushed out once door 'locked the would no Let me bskf In to retrieve item I called next morning nd employee config,ed it was there nd th At would that would keep safe in office work When I .came that day manager said no longer calling it it is too nice even to I paid never sw it for auction o manager stole it from me This would never happen at value village 10/10
Sometimes you find a bargain, sometimes way over priced. Good staff, nice clean store.
Great friendly service. 30 per cent off day for seniors!
The prices just keep getting higher and higher.
(Translated) Good service (Original) Buen servicio
Charge way too much for used whatever!
More variety, better state of things and mainly BETTER SERVICE! starting with the washroom, the neighbors dont let you go to their washroom. I went to value village right after being denied to use the washroom in the neighboring store, used the washroom and that allowed me to browse around and spend 200 dollars in nice winter clothes... i finally got the winter jacket I've been looking for for years
Super friendly people! Lots of goodies!
Clean with friendly service
Good place to get great deals, on a daily basis.
This is my sons go to shopping .
Prices to high for donated second hand items. Staff very friendly
Lots of stuff very pricey for used
Went looking for work shirts and found an overwhelming selection but the prices are too high for used clothing.
Decent.
Good deals but some expensive
Value village provides great re-used clothes at affordable prices. The best part of thrift store shopping at value village is finding hidden gems that you cannot even buy in current day department stores! Value village also frequently offers deals, offers, and special value days. You can literally get shirts, pants, sweaters for only a few dollars! I also think the proceeds go to a good charity, but I am uncertain. Either way, they provide neat clothes for those searching for a treasure, and affordable options for low income families too. The one near the University is especially awesome during March and April when University students are unloading household appliances and clothes they don't wish to fly home with
This place was ok
It's rewarding when u find things I need nfortunately my last visit was not as rewarding as previously didn't find what I was looking for
Great place prices are going up but I guess they are every where these days staff is friendly
I bought a pair of sunglasses and forgot them at the counter. When I returned the next day to ask about them, the cashier, Destiny remembered me and went WAY out of her way to find them and get them to me. Very grateful and impressed.
Best quality Shark costumes for dogs in Timmins. I travelled all Ontario and Value Village came out on top.
I have lost the fun in going in there and finding a good price. Considering they get there donations for free, there prices are crazy high!! Yes they have overhead and have to pay there employees but a value?? Not for a long time. When they first opened, they had great prices.. Now, your better off buying new.
Good place to buy used belongings. Some things the prices are to high.
Love it
This review is strictly for VIOlET she is sunshine in a totally over priced store. Thanks for the great customer service!!! ????
Save your time , what a ridiculous rip off haven’t been in a while and I could shop for items brand new for cheaper !!!! Most of the clothes were old and disgusting shoes falling apart and they still wanted like $20 ! Will never ever ever be back.
Prices are too high for secondhand products
The prices are outrageously expensive as of late! Saw an artificial tree and nearly dropped when the price was marked at $99.99?? I don't mind shopping for the cause but, really, these prices, and for used??
(Translated) Orange (Original) Oroma
Lots of good deals on items lightly used. Also a supporter of local charities.
You may find the odd deal, but most items are extremely over priced especially when you consider that most items have been donated for free by people who mistakenly believe this is a charitable organization.
A lot to find! Plan enough time to discover the good pieces you would never thought you found there! Be careful though, sometimes the prices are not adjusted and you can find brand new things for not very much than what is proposed at VV.
Selection limited for the children
Good, clean, friendly service
Terrible place to shop! All prices on donated stuff is waaay marked up, and objects aren't even in working order when they are sold. I purchased a DVD player after being told by staff that all electronic devices are tested before being put on the floor. Took it home and found out it did NOT work, took it back the next day and was told I couldn't return it because they don't allow returns on electronic devices. I was not told this before purchasing. The manager was very rude and unprofessional about it, as well as the cashier. Will not be shopping here again and advise others not to either.
They sell regular price items at hugely inflated prices. Not much of a value there.
The stuff are getting to experience n they have really good things
Decent selection and prices.
Bad service, no one at the checkout
Love buying used clothes here for the whole family. Lots of selection. At times prices seem a bit high, but they have great 50% off sales as well as a loyalty program that gives you points towards 30% off and also access to pre sales and special deals.
It's a huge store - three levels, with clothing, small furniture items, and decor. I almost always find something cool there. The staff are great too. Four stars because the pricing is way too high on most items, and they are for-profit.
Great service today
They are expensive for second hand clothes
It's like treasure hunting You'll definitely come across many things that don't suit you... But when they do.. It'll be a unique experience
(Translated) Thieves an old $ 25 leather belt are thieves of no value (Original) Des voleurs une vieille ceinture de cuir 25$ sont voleurs pas valeur
Prices seem a bit high!
Prices are expensive for a store to help people who are poorer
I purchased a portable DVD player here and two intercom's ... ALL ARE BROKEN AND DO NOT WORK. The worker explained they check all devices before selling and no return which is obviously a complete LIE. I will not be shopping here again. What a rip off. I have been shopping at Value Village for over 10+ YRS.
Great selection
The prices are very good
Way too expensive compared to a few years ago
Love it
Tidy, organized, but quite often the prices are out of whack for used goods.
Just a mess..
If you have time u can find afew good gems. A few things priced similar to if you were to purchase it new
Wide selection of goodies and clothes!
