Though things are better organized, this store continues to have bad customer service. Now that we aren't bagging our own groceries we can finally start coming more often. Milton is one of Canada's more affluent communities, this Walmart really should make an effort to be cleaner and more aesthetically pleasing. Maybe it's travelling in the USA that spoils me, but those stores are amazingly laid out, with parking lots with trees, and friendly attentive employees, and income levels there are much lower. Just makes the shopping experience better.

I always shop at this Walmart and it seems like they never have enough staff working. But the worst experience I had was today. I go there, stand in line in the freezing cold and it's almost my turn to go in and then the employee tells us there are no carts in the store so if we want one we'd have to go to the parking lot to get one. I'm just thinking ok..... so I go in then I come back to ask her if I can go grab a cart from the parking lot and come back in and she says no, I'd have to get back in line! By this point the line is huge and it's like a blizzard out! If she didn't wait till the last second to tell us there were no carts in the store then I would have grabbed one. So I just left because there was no way I was waiting in that line. Complete waste of my time!

Edit 2: they've cleaned it up now. EDIT: two weeks later the frozen pizza mentioned below, is still there behind the skids of pop (along with everything else)... 2 weeks! Insane/disgusting! Original post: What is going on behind the skids of pop, all over the floor? There's meat, (formerly) frozen pizzas... which is disheartening when you have the same pizza in your cart... hope it didn't come from back there ugh! and about 50 dusty scratched up bottles of pop, candy etc... and the dust, holy.. the dust! There was a guy stocking it when I was there, there's NO WAY he didn't see the mess. Terrible.

This walmart as his high and lots of lows. Had twice a issue with discrimination and all that because a employee told there was a guarantee on the product when in fact there wasn't , so bought it for nothing. Another fact food wise, found three times rotten meat underneath counters. But has good quality fruits and cheap clothes for underneath budget or low incom. The bathroom are not very clean unfortunately.

Very nice plaza, but shady neighborhood. Black market sellers approach you while looking for parking. Walmart has very nice staff, probably nicest I have ever seen in Walmart, but a lot of the food and cosmetics packaging is damaged. People just come in, open products, eat some and then leave it like that. It is a bit gross. Also, one must be careful with cosmetics products as customers simply open products take half of it out and leave. I have seen that happen before, but never to this extent.

I loathe self checkout and am a cash only customer, one or two live cashiers...gimme a break! Very poor management. Carts of new stock to be put away for DAYS on end, repeatadly out of stock for 5-6 WEEKS at a time on items I shop for. The theft losses in cosmetics are likely huge since there is nobody working the department....ever. I go elsewhere now whenever possible.

5 associates or customer experience employees had absolutely no idea what slime was or how to even look for it. I'm mean I was met with a laugh an "I don't know" and a walk away. The costumer service desk was extremely unhelpful and put customer experience at about 6th on the list .... Maybe it's my fault for actually expecting bare minimum service. Busy, busy, parking lot with rv's! I know Walmart is gracious and allows overnight stays ..... but these units had their slides out, stabilizers down, trailers unhooked, probably no less than 20 units in the parking lot. Store itself was ok, lots of empty shelves, no bottled water, sold out, plus this location does not carry produce. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

I am so disapointed with this stores bakery we ordered our daughters cake for her first b-day and they messed it up the day before the party. They made a second cake and it was also messed up. Fortunately her b-day was still great just a trashy cake. I'll never buy a cake from here again or even tell anyone they make cakes! IT WAS THAT BAD!

Definitely not a supercenter, they don't sell any fresh meats and have a small selection of fresh veggies. They do sell dairy, cheese, hotdogs etc, with a mix of dry goods and frozen foods. Staff is always friendly with good customer service. A bit on the smaller side so it gets crowded very quickly

This is a great store to go shopping at because it has everything and its all at a reasonable price. The tills get backed up alot though. I know quite a few people who worked there and they liked it. The only downside is how many people are outside smoking around the doors and going near the shopping cart areas you get asked for money to buy smokes from bums.

When checking out they had too few cashiers on that the lines were so long it forced people to use the self-checkout (which I don't like using). But even that was disorganized and the worker was just standing there rather than helping people, showing them where to line up or which station to use.

Electronics area is closed, still able to sell some items but they have to bring them to you leading to more contact than necessary as well as limiting customers from seeing pricing options between different selections. Printer ink is apparently non essential, however they have no problem selling printer paper. At self checkouts they have someone once again invading your personal space to rummage through your bags to make sure you are not buying anything "non essential". Had more contact with staff in the time it took to pick up a phone charge cable today than i have on full on shopping trips due to sheer stupidity.

I find Walmart workers (other than the cashiers) never help you when you need it. I have heard a thousand times “sorry, we are out of stock” they don’t check a computer or in the back storage to even know if it’s actually out of stock. I try to avoid it as much as possible. The bathrooms are always disgusting as well. They really need to teach their floor staff manners and customer service.

Such an awkward store to maneuver and find things. Went to print a single photo at the photo centre and it says to "ask Electronics staff for assistance", so we did, simply to ask for an envelope and we would pay at the front as we usually do on the way out. We approached the electronics staff and they were so rude it was unbelievable. Don't have a sign saying to ask them for assistance if they are going to be so miserable about doing their job when they aren't helping ANYONE else, yet the person "working in photo centre" is basically running the electronics and helping all the customers over there.

I usually walk into Walmart expecting bad service and almost never surprise. I was in for a treat when i went there looking to acquire a blow up mattress. Asked a sales woman where i could find one. (Usually i get a "somewhere on that side of the store") but the lady took me right to them, asked in detail what kind i wanted and what she recommends to be the best. I was very impressed with the service. If they hire more people like her, walmart would have a better reputation. Otherwise, keep it up.

It is good place to get some deals and get shopping done fast and at the time i am posting this they are adding more treadmill checkouts to help with all those people who come and are bulk shoppers. hopefully they have people on them and dont let them sit empty or that wont do much good. There is also one of those picture places in this location so if you need a passport photo or hunting license or even just a good old family picture they can handle that. They also have a McDonald's in this location to so if you are ever hungry or just want a snack before you go shopping so dont over buy on junk and other stuff they can do that. The only real problem i have is the parking lot there has at least been twelve or more times when i have been harrassed for money or for someone to put my cart away and the infamous can i have a smoke it is even worse if you do smoke because those things aren't cheap.

This is the smallest Walmart In all of B.C, if not Canada. This is a fact. Almost every photo taken and shown above are from other Walmart Supercenters. Lower your expectations when entering the Powell River location. The selection is much less. This store sells food, but don't expect to do your grocery shopping here. It only has a few essentials. It's not an actual grocery store. Expect everything to be smaller here. This is not a large location. Please report any and all photos above as incorrect if they do not represent the "Powell River Location". There are many photos that have been posted from other walmarts and are incredibly inaccurate. For those having trouble accessing the store, you must enter from Ontario Avenue and go down a little incline to the main entrance. During open hours of the mall you can also access it from within the mall.

Horrible produce and meats. Some items outside of produce and meats are a great bargain, but other than that you got your same cheap old made in china products. They cut cashiers and overwork existing ones. Leaving both employees and customers pissed off. I have seen people abandon karts because lineup times to cash out is ridiculous. Most employees have no idea what they are talking in regards to merchandise and where i can find certain items in store. Sobeys for meats and produce all the way.

By far the worst Walmart I’ve ever shopped in Canada and the US. This was a Sunday at 530pm store was wide open and full of customers. I have visited this location twice now. On my first visit there was no meat at all !! Just some ridiculously over priced rack of ribs. The second visit they were more stocked but still had some empty spaces in the meat department. Even the dry good section looked sparse. Very disappointed for Walmart.

Today was a great experience at Walmart. I was there earlier in the day. Went to the deli area, although they couldn't serve me immediately, they made eye contact with me and said they'd be over shortly. Big store with a big inventory. Stock, cleanliness, and crowds appears to be focused only on groceries, pharmacy and clothing. Other areas seem to suffer from neglect. Entire featured video racks empty except for 1 product. Limited selection in many other departments. While the store selection is geared towards big shoppers, the cashes seem to encourage express shoppers featuring 8 people working express and 1 or 2 working full cashes. The front doors and center of the store can be insanely busy and uninviting, but other parts of the store can be so quiet you don't see a customer or an employee. In my latest visit, 3 of the sales displays were loaded with different versions of the same product. So apparently the 2ply and 3ply are the same cost. As are the 3 cubic foot and 5 cubic foot versions of products? How long will the green pepper sit in the cleaning products section?

Full disclosure: I generally avoid Walmarts because I find them an unpleasant shopping experience. PROs: The employees are pleasant enough. CONs: We got herded to self-serve and the SS checkouts filmed me, and asked me twice in the transaction to confirm I had scanned everything. Aside from making me feel like cattle and a criminal all in one transaction, if you want to monitor for theft prevention, return actual cashiers to their job and I bet your shrink would go down. Alienating your customers seems like a poor strategy.

TGFW ...thank God for Walmart! How did we ever get by? Walmart may be the sole surviving box store in Canada (aside from Costco). Great store. Excellent inventory ...everything you need. And, I like that they have lots of cashiers. I can zip in and out quickly or if I choose I can look at an endless choice. I also appreciate that Walmart hires older people. Good store ...as always ship with care and know your prices.

Not a constant selection. Items removed and replaced with Great Value, (Walmart brand). Perhaps people prefer what they usually purchase, NOT, the Walmart brand. I like Quick chocolate mix. The Great Value brand of chocolate syrup sucks so I don't mind paying a little more for a better product. These replacements are happening quite a lot now.

Its fine for a walmart, pretty dingy interiour and not a lot of selection compared to other walmarts ive frequented. Store cleanlyness is passable but whetever you do avoid the washrooms at all costs and just save it till you go home because the smell and facilities are not at all worth it. Ive seen gas stations and pubs with cleaner washrooms.

I usually don't make comments of a negative nature, but I was treated so badly by two staff and one manager I just had to make an exception. I managed in retail for 14 years and if I ever found an employee or dept. manager treat a customer in the fashion I was treated they would have been fired on the spot, security called then escorted off the property under supervision.

It depends on the day but about 95% of the time you are unable to find an employee that is not on the cash register. And if you do find an employee, 99% of the time they are not very nice. I give credit to the layout of the store and employees that are on the cash registers.

A small Walmart, with less selection. Untidy and disorganized compared to the bigger locations. A small dark at night crammed parking lot. If you don't live in this neighborhood then you may feel scared at night shopping here. Staff are friendly that's why I gave 2 stars. They must have a shoplifting problem, as there have been police at this location many times during my visits.

This corner store as I call it is much to small , inventory is not that great and I personally don't go there anymore, I much prefer Gander which is a "superstore" now with the new addition, only an hour away. It says Grand Falls is a supercenter I have not idea who labelled that. Lol. What a joke. I wish they do bring a new Super Centre here like the new Canadian Tire store recently built, that will certainly get a 5 ***** rating from me.

First of all I would like to start off this review by saying that this is not the first time this has happened to us at this Wal-Mart. There was an item marked wrongly on the shelf for less than half of what it came up as when scanned. There were multiple items there in the place so obviously it was tagged wrong I doubt that someone shopping would take the time to place all of the items there as stated by one of the mangers. The description of the item was also the same. After the regular managers not honoring the price which should be honored by the Ontario scanning code of practice, they had informed me that Wal-Mart only honors items based solely on the UPC number which is not correct and does not say anywhere on the website for Ontario scanning code of practice. I patiently waited for my girlfriend to get back with the full store manager. Which she told us we were correct and gave us the item for the marked price. I felt embarrassed and I already have social anxiety on top of that. The managers kept making it a larger scene than what was needed. Wal-Mart is a multibillion dollar company and they should honor the scanning code of practice. After waiting for all of this, I then had to wait another 30 minutes standing holding all of our items in bags which were quite heavy for a manager to come back to approve the price override. This is ridiculous. I doubt I will be returning unless in dire need. Attached below is a photo of my hand after waiting for so long holding the heavy bags.

Walmart is the best place to shop for general wares in New Liskeard, though I must admit Im having some problems with it. I absolutely hate that they expanded self checkout when a lot of the time I just wanna pay with cash, and it leaves employees with less jobs! (I assume they did this as a result from being short staff as I've heard they were looking for employees before this) They added a temptation isle in order to get to the checkout which I find personally disgusting as it shows how far this Walmart is willing to go to milk their customers. I understand it from a business perspective but that doesn't make it right. On the plus side, their electronic department has been very helpful with helping me find a potential new phone and the clothing is quite nice here and there.

The only Walmart and worst grocery store in Milton. Let me explain they are overstock in all item but the fresh healthy items are always missing all green leaves like cillatro, parsley and even spinach are never available. Yesterday July 30, 2018 absolutely nothing was stock back in place there were not even onion at the front, banana display almost empty most vegetables were override and still on display. Bread area is almost empty as well. Please Walmart make sure healthy and fresh vegetables are always on stock and fresh remember that you don't just sell product that make your costumers obese.

As far as Walmart's go, this is a rather large Walmart. Much more space. More shelves with many products not found in other smaller Walmart's. Even in produce and dairy. But it is the busiest of any Walmart I've been to. Parking lot is huge, but limited spaces, since those spaces are shared with the other retail outlets in the immediate area of the plaza. The parking spaces seem a little smaller than normal. Keep the sports car at home. Bring the beater. A go-to place for anything you need at prices that are lower than you expect on most items. Great value!

Parking has never been an issue in the plaza. Mostly friendly and knowledgeable staff, they're fairly good at pointing me to the exact place where the products I look for are located. The products have been in great order, I hardly ever see anything misplaced on the shelves. They're also pretty cheap, but quality items; I tend to buy more than I think I need. The issues come when you try to return things; it's not that it's too hard to, but the staff working that desk don't appear as friendly as the ones walking around, and I find myself thinking the issue is with me, rather than my product - this might be the only location that asks me why I'm returning something, rather than simply taking it back and giving me a refund or exchange. The area around the McDonalds in-store seems rather random; it quite frankly doesn't seem like it ought to be there. It doesn't seem as clean and the lighting (or the choice of flooring and furniture) appear to be a bit darker than what I'd call 'warm'. In all, I recommend this location.

You have 30 days to return it to us without problem. ! "). Now, I am refused the refund because open box = final sale! Customer service employees act as if Walmart's return policy is part of the civil code ("No one is supposed to ignore the law") except it is not and when an employee repeatedly confirms me a information (which ultimately is false), I expect the store 1) to train its employees better 2) to fix the said employee error by reimbursing the customer. I needed to picked up a birthday gift for my grandson, but during the Covid-19 lockdown I had to shop online. I am not happy about it but I have no choice. But, then I found out that I didn't spend enough for free shipping so I though, no problem, I can pick i up. Then I found out during check out I had to pay a $5.00 handling fee! It's hard to go wrong with this Wal-Mart. They've done well given the location and limited size. Parking out front can be tricky at night or if there's a lot of snow. Always well stocked inside.
