Great experience! Got my wedding dress and ordered bridesmaid dreses, lots of variety for the dresses' styles and price ranges. Staff were very helpful, polite and considering.They have the best selection for plus sizes, lots to choose from. Definitely recommend!

My daughter went with her friends in quest of formal dresses. The address on Maps did not match the actual street address and they had call the shop to confirm the location. Although they called a day in advance to make an appointment, the sales woman made a fuss about letting them into the shop. The service at Karma did not meet expectations, once they were in. Formal dresses for a ball are an important purchase for teenagers. It's the job of the sales people to make the girls feel special and reassure them about the purchase. Instead my daughter felt pressured to buy a dress she was not sure about. No effort was made to suggest alternatives. Had the sales-woman taken the time, she would have made a sale. (Possibly two, as both my daughter and her friend saw dresses they were interested in.) Instead, we spent more money to have a better shopping experience at All Dressed Up. Other friends bought at David's. If you are looking for personal attention and top service, Karma is not the right choice.

I purchased my wedding gown from them a year ago. Very friendly and beautiful shop. I love the collection/designers they carry. The sales ladies there are friendly and knowledgeable yet not pushy. I have gone to 3 places before Karma and one shop do not allow me to take any selfie and one refused to have me try on more than 3 gowns and pushed me to decide on a style on the spot etc... My experience at Karma Bridal was very pleasant and they helped me to narrow down to 2 different dresses in the end . I came back with my mother after two weeks and purchased my dream dress! Thank you and will highly recommend to anyone.

We had an excellent experience at Karma bridal. This store has a huge selection of dresses. Our salesperson, Christine, was helpful, positive and very pleasant to deal with. She provided the information we needed and was able to grasp quickly what my daughter was looking for. She provided excellent options which resulted in a purchase. She took her time and asked the right questions. My daughter is thrilled with her choice. It may not be the fanciest of stores, but the customer service and lovely staff make it a great place to shop for a wedding dress. Many thanks.

On entering we were greeted and received an explanation of how the store was laid out and told about the 50 o/o off sale. Our professional sales lady, Ann, went above and beyond any service I expected. Ann helped us patiently and was able to pick several dresses within our budget. I am glad to say my granddaughter will go to prom in a beautiful gown. Thanks to Ann and to Karma. A truly pleasant experience.

Maybe a good store if your looking for a prom dress.. If you don't mind the employee helping you to stink of cigarettes. Would not recommend this place for a bridal gown! Not a very good size selection and dresses give very little breast support! COMPLETELY different experience at David's bridal in Dartmouth crossing which was also better priced!

I have nothing but good things to say about Karma. Back in highschool, I bought dresses for two proms there and had a great experience each time. Last month, I bought my wedding dress there. I don't remember the consultants name, but she was so friendly, and helpful. She didn't push me towards the most expensive options, she let me take my time and pick a bunch of different styles. She also pulled a couple that I really liked. She was so patient when I wanted to try on every dress twice to make sure I was making the right decision. I ended up finding my dream dress, and I can't wait to walk down the aisle in June.

Karma bridal was the last wedding dress shop to visit in Halifax after a very full day of shopping. Can't say enough great things about it - clean, spacious, easy to see dresses, BEST prices of ANYWHERE we went, huge selection, friendly staff, private change area, and dresses were beautiful and felt comfortable (good quality). Wish I had only gone here and not wasted my time at all those other shops. 11/10, would recommend. Go here!!!!

I recently bought two bridesmaids dresses from Karma Bridal & Formal. It was a great experience. We attended the store a couple of times and each time had great, friendly service. One bridesmaid is in Ontario and wanted a dress they didn't have in store. It was no problem to order through Karma and the clerk was a huge help assisting us with sizing and also shipped the dress to Ontario directly. They called as soon as the dresses were ordered and called as soon as they arrived. The dresses arrived a few weeks earlier than anticipated. Both look beautiful. Thanks for the wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Amazing experience! I bought both my Semi prom dress and my Grade 12 prom dress here! Amazing selection of dresses, Amazing staff, I would definitely recommend shopping here. They are located at 50 Tacoma Drive as of right now, which is such a beautiful location. You could not be disappointed with your experience here. It’s really sad that people keep giving them bad reviews, when it is so obvious that it’s all lies. They also sell stuff on online through Facebook live, which is such a cool idea. 10/10, would recommend Karma Bridal!

I went to Karma for a bridal gown and found the one i love. The store is big bright and opened and the bridal room is cozy and private. Perfect for a fun and comfortable shopping experience. The staff and owner really made it! We came early and they let my bridal party and I look through the dressed and were attentive to take them and place them aside for me to try even BEFORE my appointment had begun. The Sales Lady that helped us was BRILLIANT not only did she listen to what i was saying but was picking up on my gestures as well and how i interacted with the dress. She would switch and pull dresses based on all these factors and the time just FLEW! If you need a bridal gown and have a firm budget but still want to get that "say yes to the dress experience" THIS SHOP IS IT!

I want say a Huge Thank You to Karma in Burnisde who let my daughter exchange her dress, because she was bullied and threatened just because her dress was the same style but a different color, even though their policy is no exchange or refund. She got a dress she can hold her head high!!

I had the worst shopping experience of my life in the store, while shopping for 2 prom dresses. Every staff member that we dealt with were rude and aggressive, including the management. The “large” selection of prom dresses they boast about we’re mostly left over dresses from years before, making the styles and colours outdated. The store itself was not clean or brightly lit so seeing everything in proper light was difficult. If you are looking for a fabulous shopping experience for yourself or someone close to you, do not take them to the store!

Not many plus size dresses there, and those that were weren't all that nice, and all very similar styles. I found it much more expensive than David's Bridal, and there was less selection and worse service. I definitely wouldn't recommend to any plus-size ladies, especially for wedding. Seems like they cater better to prom.

AMAZING 5++++ stars. These people deserve a lot more attention. Not only was the staff friendly and welcoming but they had a fairly large selection of plus size dresses (12+) in store to try on! Lakita was very accommodating and understanding, she and her staff are wonderful. They are honest and won't do anything to get a sale, honestly the best prom dress store I've been too in NS.

Such great service! We went seeking 6 bridesmaids dresses, all of a different style which is not an easy task! After starting our day here, then going to David's bridal, we made it back to Karma to make our final buys. There was no comparison of the quality of dresses and the expertise and patience of the Manager at Karma. 10/10 would recommend to fellow Brides if you're on the hunt for your bridesmaids dresses!

I can honestly say that I'm not even sure if I can give it a one-star review. My friend was getting married and this was her first fitting experience. It was definitely not a good experience. I'm going to try to keep this short but these are important things for a bride or any customer. First off, it was a little bit different initially going in because they made you take off your shoes by the door which is sort of understandable since we're looking at very expensive gowns and I'm sure they do not want them damaged. That's okay not the best but okay! We were greeted by a lady behind the counter who was very friendly and that was great then when we were assigned with a consultant, she reeked of cigarette smoke on her breath while asking who the bride is. It is important to know who the bride is but it's also important to recognize that she brought friends to her fitting because she wants them there. Rather the consultant completely treated us like petulant children and asked us to basically get out of the way while she swept the bride away to look at dresses. Since we were there for the bride, we disregarded the rude consultant's behavior and try to help the bride look for dresses we think she may like. While we were looking, the consultant acted as if we're in her way and dirtying up the dresses while insisting that the bride take her suggestions over everything else. After a few dresses were chosen, the consultant once again told the bridal party to stay put in front of one fitting area because they were not allowed anywhere near the fitting rooms. The bride looked very uncomfortable and very questioning. She ended up trying on about three dresses before giving up since we made suggestions as to whether there are some supportive undergarments to understand how the dress is supposed to fit properly. The consultant acted as if that was an insult to their gowns and made us feel stupid for even asking for that when their gowns are fitted with built in support. I understand they are designed with built-in support but it doesn't mean that there couldn't be alternatives when the dress isn't entirely tailored to the bride's body so that the bride could get a better idea of what it should look like. On top of that, there was only one set of mirrors that were not warped and looked like a funhouse mirror. Since there was nobody at that mirror, we suggested is it possible to use this mirror instead. The consultant scolded us to get away from that section because another bride is using it. Needless to say that was not a pleasant experience. Personally I've had my own fitting experiences with various Bridal salons and this has got to be the worst. Whether you're there for a prom or getting married, you should never feel like all you want to do is just ask the consultant to put everything back and walk away. Yes they do have some really nice dresses and some beautiful gowns that are unique and different but their prices are also more expensive than what I personally think they are worth. Being a bride is more than just about getting married. Most women have been waiting for this experience their whole lives. This is not only something they will remember but will also make suggestions to any of their other girlfriends who are getting married and thinking about purchasing a gown. Word of mouth in this technological generation is the best advertisement for great customer experience or could be your worst enemy. And I would not recommend Karma's for anything.

Karma bridal has been so incredible! Their prices are unbeatable and their customer service surpasses expectation! I was able to get a veil at an incredibly great price, which seemed impossible with the crazy prices these days! My grandmother had one request and it was that I have a veil for my wedding and they had not only the perfect veil at a perfect price, but they provided great customer service despite being in a pandemic! If I could give 100 stars I would! Now to find my dream dress at Karma Bridal! Thanks again to all the staff at Karma! You sure made this bride and her grand mother very happy!

We just had an amazing dress shopping experience at Karma today. My daughter and I were shopping for her boyfriend’s prom and from the time we came into the store, Christine was there to meet and greet us first and then asked my daughter what she was looking for. She was very friendly, patient and understanding. If I thought a dress was too expensive then she would make other suggestions. She even found a dress that suited my daughter to the tee. My daughter didn’t think purple would look good on her, but Christine found a Lavender dress that she fell in love with it as soon as she tried it on. You can’t go wrong with this place because there is such a large selection of dresses and the prices are good. Thank you Christine!! I hope you’re there again next year when it’s my daughter’s graduation because I know we’ll be back again.

Ok. So after having a very disappointing experience at another store (which was my first time out) I decided to give it another shot and go to Karma. I should have gone somewhere else. First the store yes has a sign, in the window which is not easy to see from any distance at all. I had great trouble finding this store. Once I finally got into the store I was -not greeted -not able to find the type of dresses I was looking for (bridal) which is not clearly marked and in a room off to the side which I happened to find by accident. -and to be frank I was freezing. Any how. Once I finally found the bridal gowns no one was around to assist me. My step daughter, sister and I started browsing the dresses and I found one I thought I could love. I waited and waited and waited for assistance. Nothing. So I stepped into this little closest of a changing room and tried this dress on. While I was trying to get some sort of idea about this dress I heard an employee come into the bridal section she asked my sister and step daughter if someone was in the changing room they said yes. She said well is someone even getting married. They again said yes. She asked when. I spoke up this time and said our date. Then she walked away. Her tone with my family was extreamly clipped and cold. We left immediately after this as they were both made to feel uncomfortable and out of place. Will not be going back. Sad part is. If I could have had a decent person assist me I think I would have bought that dress.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! ZERO Stars We put deposits on 2 suits in February for our April wedding. Well we all know Covid happened in March and everything was shut down including the Bridal Store. Our wedding is cancelled, the LAST thing on my mind is arranging to pay for and pickup suits that aren't being used. I physically spoke to them on Nov 7 (they 'claim' they called and left more messages) and YES I did agree to pickup the following day but I was unable. We went in to get them today and they advised that the suits were sold and they are refusing to return our deposits. Very RUDE

I didn’t go in with an adult as I was looking to buy my own dress. They did the bare minimum to help me find my dress. When I was in the dressing room, they ran off instead of helping me get out of my dress and then called me stupid cause I tried to get it off myself. The only one who actually was nice was the youngest one. This lady also told me to look at 20-24. Except i’m a size 12 if it doesn’t have sleeves

Leaving disappointing and almost irritated, we stopped in at Karma, without an appointment and Heather was like a fairy godmother! Bought my wedding dress from here today, soon as I walked through the door we were welcomed with a friendly hello. I had a hard group to please with me and Ann (the lady whom was helping us) was very patient and helpful with what I wanted and worked well with me. I tried on lots of dresses before I found the right one. She was able to help me pick out the perfect veil to add the finishing touches. Would recommend checking them out :)

I brought two girls to find their Junior Prom dresses on a Sunday afternoon. Out of the three shops we visited, Karma have the best service and the best selection. The prices, while not the highest, were a bit higher than I expected but we ended up finding the perfect dress for both girls! We went to Karma today, after a disappointing experience at another local business. We had already booked an appointment, but arrived early and decided to pop in and see if that was ok. We were greeted by the lovely consultant Ashlyn. She was so very helpful right from the beginning, telling us that dresses could be altered and ordered in a different size. At the previous place, they handed my daughter a size we told them we weren't sure of, and when it didn't zip, shrugged. Ashlyn was the most body positive salesperson I ever met. When the first dress didn't seem like it was going to fit she said "well, that's this dresses fault isn't it, not yours!" It can be an extremely stressful experience shopping when you aren't the average size. And a girls prom is so important, that I woke up with anxiety. Ashlyn and the other consultant working took that away before my daughter even tried on a dress. It was a fun, enjoyable experience, and we left with an absolutely gorgeous gown! I can't thank these girls enough for their skill and compassion, and how they treat their customers. I've never experienced better customer service anywhere, for any product ever.
