I went for a bridal consult back in the summer during the peak of the pandemic and I have to say the staff at Chester and Felicity made my experience seamless. Despite having restrictions due to the pandemic they were so accommodating and selecting dresses prior to my appointment to eliminate the contact/touching actually made it much easier as we had a better idea of my vision and what styles I was leaning towards. Erin was absolutely great to work with and the attention/detail she gave not only during my visit but also following up afterwards was great. I visited the store right before they were receiving some new dresses/lines and Erin continued to follow-up with me about new arrivals in case anything peaked my interest. If you are shopping for your dress in the Halifax area I would highly recommend visiting as not only are the gowns beautiful and reasonably priced, but they have a large selection and very knowledgeable staff!

Such a great experience! I'm super indecisive and Tonya was amazing! She was so patient and was so kind with having me come back multiple times to finally decide on a dress I loved. She was so respectful of my budget and was so encouraging when the process can sometimes be overwhelming. The store itself has so much selection and is in such a beautiful location! Everyone was super respectful of the COVID restrictions/guidelines and I never felt uncomfortable for a second. 10/10 would recommend to anyone looking for a dress! :)

Chester & Felicity offer a wide variety of dresses. The consultants are extremely professional, I was lucky enough to have worked with both Tonya & Erin. I was greeted with smiles both times while visiting the store. I was comfortable throughout my appointment and Tonya made me feel like she's known me forever. I am someone who becomes easily overwhelmed, and the staff showed me nothing but kindness & patience. Erin made a recommendation that made a big difference with the fit of the dress. I felt a little guilty booking an appointment at a nice boutique because I had a small budget and I was very upfront about it but they never made me feel out of place. On the contrary, they helped me pick out a beautiful dress off the rack. They also patiently waited for me to set up a laptop so my mom and sisters could join us and offered sparkling wine to toast and I got to ring the bell. I went in thinking I was a small fry and still got all the literal bells and proverbial whistles.

Had a wonderful experience at Chester & felicity. Went on a weekday morning and was helped quickly by friendly staff. I was actually able to find my dream dress and ring the bell on my first visit. The ladies were very helpful and reassuring while helping me try on several more dresses before making my final decision. I couldn't be happier with my experience. I also bought my beautiful rose gold hair piece there as well to go with my blush dress.

My experience with them is this. I had given my measurements (bust, length, collar, hips) end of January, received the dress a few months later and I had gotten a size way too big for me!!! One would like to think that the alterations would be paid for, but when I emailed them, I was told I was on my own. They did not give a damn. So in the end, I had to pay more $$ for alterations on top of the already expensive dress. Soooo disappointed!

The store had a good selection of dresses however our group was met with eye rolls and judgement. We were a group of 5 young professionals, 4 of whom are currently planning weddings and were treated like teenagers in a shopping mall. Found a dress we like but will be buying elsewhere and the others in our party won't be going back either.

The best place in NS for bridal shopping! Very helpful and friendly staff. My friends and I had so much fun the first day I went to try on dresses, and I loved how they did not pressure me to buy the same day (or within the same week), it left me feeling happy, calm, and empowered to make the right decision. After checking out a few other shops, I realized the dress for me was definitely at Chester and Felicity, and they were easy to book a follow up with, highly organized (had everything on file) and made me feel like a million dollars when I tried my dream dress on again. So lovely to work with, and Tonya and Amanda are gems! Cannot recommend enough!!

On a recommendation from a friend I booked an appointment with this bridal shop. Or at least tried. I was never even let in past the entrance. I was met out front, and after apologizing for arriving early and could wait but was told the last appointment also ended early so it worked out. Then I was asked if my $1000 budget, was in fact my budget. I said “yes”. I was then led from the shop entrance to more or less a dark, locked closet that held the “sale rack”. I was told to pick through what I liked, and I could try them on. I assumed I’d rummage through and be taken back to the main part of the store. Nope. I was Put in a little curtain closet to try them on, which had all kind of cracks so others could see in, because I could clearly see other people. And it wasn’t like “if you want these dresses you need to stay in here” because other sales ladies were pulling from the sale closet and taking them back to clients in the store. Many of the dresses had stains and rips in the skirt. It was slim pickings. I know a lot of us see “say yes to the dress” and have expectations, but tv is tv, and I still assumed I’d be able to go and come to stand on a pedestal to my friends who were seated and waiting for me...but nope. There was no seats. no pedestal, and one mirror down amongst the cluster of dresses. I was reminded MANY times, most samples don’t come above size 10 and there isn’t much at $1000 (even tho the girl who recommended me to this shop had the exact same budget as myself) and I noticed girls bigger than me trying on dresses in the main part of the store when I was leaving...sooooo..... By the end I told the woman I’d go above $1000 since these were my only options, she brought 2 dresses that weren’t the style I told her I wanted many times, and by that point I didn’t feel like being there anymore. I left feeling VERY discouraged, when I already arrived feeling nervous about looking good. It was an awful experience and I can’t see myself recommending this shop to anyone in the future. The friend who told me about this place was with me at the time I went and was astonished at the difference in service. Maybe my $1000 budget seems like small potatoes to some, but to me and my family it is a big deal and I feel like I deserved better than this.

Well...today marked a page in my fairytale book. I said “YES TO THE DRESS”!!!! I found the dress of my dreams and Chester & Felicity gave me the experience I had hoped and dreamed of having. It brought feelings & emotions to me that I wasn’t prepared to feel. Truly amazing!!! ❤️❤️❤️????????. The stylist I had at my appointment, Sarah, was absolutely phenomenal!!!! I can’t thank her enough for her professionalism, her expertise & her passion she showed me today.

Was here the other day to try on wedding dresses. The space was large and the selection was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Once I had tried on one dress, the staff working with me went and found me other dresses to try on and gave me great feedback. The dresses were all gorgeous and had many different price points (ie not all were ridiculous). Just so you know, they do not do alterations, but they work with a seamstress in the same building who does them so it is not a big issue. Would highly recommend!

My dress was beautiful, they took care of me the day I was looking for my gown. When I went to pick it up, it was the exact one I ordered and fit perfectly. They did, however, rush me out of there once the dress was paid for, which I found off-putting, but other than that, no complaints! **They do not do alterations, however they will recommend a tailor to you, DO NOT go with the tailor they recommend. They only recommend him because he is in the same building, but he is rude, condescending, overpriced and not very good at all. If you need alterations, go to Daniels or someone else.**

The customer service and bridal experience at Chester & Felicity blew me away. I live in Calgary, but I am getting married in Halifax. I have been to other chain bridal stores before, but the quality of service at Chester and Felicity was what made the experience truly special. The price point of the dresses were very reasonable, and the quality and elegance were definitely apparent in all the dresses. Chester and Felicity accommodated a large wedding party and gave us a large and semi private viewing space. The best part about Chester and Felicity is you were encouraged to walk around, look at dresses, and pick the styles you want to try on. Many bridal stores deter you from doing this. I would like to especially thank Christa for all her help and great customer service!

I had such an incredible experience at Chester and Felicity! I first tried on dresses in January of 2020 with my mom and mother-in-law and it was so incredibly special. Our consultant was lovely and they had a great system for choosing dresses to try on without getting overwhelmed. I actually ended up choosing the first dress I tried on. I also got my veil and hair-piece from Chest and Felicity. I didn't end up purchasing the dress until the next year! They were very accommodating when I wanted to come back and try on my dress for my maid on honour while she was in town after purchasing the dress as well. They recommended a great tailor as well! I'll add some photos of the dress when I first fell in love to wearing it on my wedding day this past October! Thanks again!

It can be a little confusing to get to when you look at the signs outside the building, but going into the large main entrance, it is right up the stairs. The store was still under renovations, but still very clean. The staff are still extremely helpful, and the selection is amazing.

Very upset with the service I received. After going into the store and trying on a bridesmaid dress, I ordered it and then received the WRONG dress. The salesperson had ordered me the wrong style dress but since I confirmed this dress number by e-mail and did not double check the style code (thinking it was the one I had tried on at the store), this was my dress. After the salesperson spoke with other sale consultants and the owner, they agreed to order the right dress and not charge me for any additional costs. When I went back to pick up the correct dress, I found out that they had charged me for extra length and a rush fee. Buyers beware; what is promised to you verbally may not be what you sign for. They took no responsibility for their mistake and blamed it all on me, the customer. I will definitely be carefully checking what I sign for from now on. This experience has caused much more stress for an experience that should be happy and exciting.

I booked a diamond appointment for febuary 28th 2016 This was the first time I had tried dresses on and had no idea what to expect. Elaine greatest us with a warm welcome. We where able to look at the gowns and choose the ones we liked as a group. The snacks and champagne where delicious, It was a wonderful dress buying experience I defiantly recommend booking a diamond appointment, you have the whole store to yourself and one on one consultation. If you buy a dress that day you get $100 back that you spend for the appointment it is well worth it. I will be recommending Chester and Felicity to all my friends that are brides to be.

This was the first bridal boutique I visited and it was the best experience! Such a beautiful spot and wonderful staff! I did visit two other places and then came back to Chester and Felicity and said yes to the dress! I am beyond happy with the dress I chose, and I wouldn't have even thought about trying it on unless she had pulled it for me! Long story short, trust these ladies!! 10/10 would recommend.

Dress selections were good, there was a lot to pick from. The owner is pleasant and definitely is knowledgeable of her business as is Kayla (manages the bridesmaids dresses). The remaining staff is hit or miss. Some were ok, but we found a few to be quote rude, unprofessional, and unorganized. Beware when ordering plus size dresses, we were not quoted or told about additional costs until after we paid deposits, then dresses arrived several sizes too large despite the measurements being done at a bridal shop. This was rectified after speaking with owner ( as mentioned who was professional, kind, and courteous) but it wasn't rectified without having to go through various staff members some of which could use some additional customer service training. It just made for unnecessary stress.

I was super happy with my experience at Chester and Felicity! I was able to have a stress-free experience picking out my favourite gowns and then was able to return to pick out the one! They know so much about their gowns and so they were able to quickly recommend other gowns based on what I was liking. I was provided details on the ordering process and the differences between buying new and off-rack (sample gown). Tonya was a superstar and really made me feel amazing throughout the whole process. Went two times and spent hours there for my now wife to get her dress. Felt like we were an inconvenience to them. Second time gong, same thing. If I'm gong to spend 2grand on a dress, they could at least pretend to help and not roll their eyes just cuz we are an older couple. {40's}.

It was a bad experience, the selection isn’t great and staff not helpful. Did not buy my dress from there as it’s not what I expected it to be like, I thought they would have higher end brands but instead it’s all made in China and horrible quality for high prices.

There aren’t words to describe how lovely my appointment was. I went to Chester and Felicity with two of my bridesmaids with the intention of just looking and getting a feel for the type of dress I would like. From start to finish, Sarah was unbelievable. She had prepared a few dresses for me to try on, with a couple different styles so I could see what I liked. She was patient and never rushed me when I was deliberating on what I liked and disliked. She made the entire experience feel grand, dramatically pulling aside the curtain to reveal each dress. She expertly clipped each dress so I could see what they would look like after alterations. With COVID restrictions, I could only have those two with me, but the store had Wifi, so my mom, mother-in-law and another bridesmaid were able to participate in the appointment – Sarah was even holding the phone at times to help! When I put on “the one”, I started to tear up, and Sarah immediately picked up on my excitement and was responded with enthusiasm. Tearing up quickly turned to full on tears, and Sarah was right there with tissues for us all. There was one other group in the store, but on the far side. It felt like we had the place to ourselves. Sarah was present and focused on us the entire time. Once I said yes to the dress, she brought over champagne for us! She didn’t rush me to take off the dress, and let me enjoy the moment. Another thing that made Sarah so wonderful – when she measured me or mentioned sizing, and whenever she discussed price, she immediately lowered her voice. It was such a respectful, and considerate thing to do. All in all, the experience was everything I could’ve dreamed of. I will recommend every bride-to-be book an appointment at Chester and Felicity!

The ladies in the shop were very rude and arrogant. They acted superior and event condescending to myself and my friends. I was disgusted by the entire experience and it upset me during what should have been a very happy day. The dresses were beautiful, the service and attitudes however were not. DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND COME HERE! I just bought my dream dress :) The store is beautiful, elegant and clean and my associate Charlotte was fantastic!! She was so helpful- stocking the room with dresses I emailed about, grabbing dresses I saw in store and liked, as well as bringing in some suggestions! I ended up going with the suggestion she made and i'm in love! Never thought i'd get emotional when finding 'the one' but I did! Also, she kept our lovely flower girl entertained and included her in picking things out! Could not be more happy with my service :)

My experience at Chester and Felicity was amazing from the first time I reached out about a dress to having my "say yes to the dress" moment! I had my eye on a specific dress and contacted the shop after seeing on Instagram that they would eventually be stocking it. I was informed that it wouldn't be in the shop by the time my appointment was booked - but received a call a few weeks later saying they would have it in the shop for a weekend trunk show and helped me rearrange my appointment so I could try it on. I was super impressed that they remembered the dress I wanted and took the time to reach out to make sure I had an opportunity to try it on. During my bridal appointment, my consultant Sarah was amazing! The dress I ended up picking was one she chose for me half-way through the appointment based on the dress elements I was responding to. I would have never picked my dress out for myself, and I'm very grateful to have had such a knowledgable, professional and enthusiastic consultant. She made the appointment super fun and relaxed and gave me great advice when I was torn between my top two. I cannot recommend choosing Chester and Felicity as your bridal shop enough - 10/10 all around.

I had my bridal appointment at the beginning of November 2020 with Sarah. She was extremely personable, professional, sweet, and helpful and made the experience so fun for myself and my guests! Sarah really listed to what I wanted and was able to help by suggesting other dresses that I may like. The store itself was bright and beautiful, with lots of space in the dressing room to try on the gowns. I was lucky enough to find a dress that I loved but in no way was there any pressure to buy if you weren’t 100% confident with your decision. I highly recommend C & F to any future brides to be and definitely ask for Sarah to assist with your appointment!

I had met the owner at the bridal show and said that my mother was coming from out of town and would love to be able to come in. They were completely booked but somehow found room for me. They were very welcoming and my experience was very pleasant. I didn't leave with a dress but will likely go back for one that I really liked. I would definitely recommend this shop.

BUYER BEWARE! I recently purchased a bridesmaid’s dress from this store and received such disappointing customer service. Each of us were measured for a dress a few months ago and my measurements did not change. The dress came in a white garbage bag (not a garment bag, despite the dress being a couple hundred dollars). The dress was ordered two sizes too big (according to the sizing chart - see photo attached). When this was brought to the store's attention, I was informed that I would be on my own to have it altered and was repeatedly told that the dress was the "correct size". I was also told that alterations of this extent are "normal/expected." Another one of the bridesmaids had a dress that was too short after she specifically requested a longer length. In my view, upon purchasing a dress that you are measured for, a few minor alterations are expected (a strap, hem, etc.). However, alterations of this extent should not be the "norm" especially when measurements are taken. It is extremely disappointing that this store does not realize the value of customer service. The store took no accountability for this issue, and regretfully does not realize that many bridesmaids will become brides themselves. I cannot attest to what the store is like for bridal, but I will never step foot in this store again because of this experience. Consider yourself warned!!!

I visited Chester and Felicity last weekend with my daughter Whitney and her future mother-in-law. With the assistance from Sarah, we had a wonderful and stress-free experience in a beautiful and bright environment. Sarah was very professional, personable and well prepared; she pulled several dresses, with Whitney’s style in mind, in advance of our arrival. She also suggested that my daughter try on a few other dresses that she thought would look great on her. Although it was difficult to choose among all the beautiful wedding dresses that Sarah selected for my daughter, Whitney did say “yes” to one gorgeous dress. I highly recommend Chester and Felicity as your bridal shop and Sarah as your consultant for a fantastic experience.
