I recently bought my wedding dress here and wanted to share my wonderful experience. Although the store itself doesn't seem like much when you first walk in, Tracey and Alyssa went above and beyond to help me find my dress. I tried on several beautiful dresses, but none quite perfect for me, when eventually Tracy asked me to describe exactly what I was looking for in a dress. When I told her, she told me that she thought she had my dress - but it was in Cape Breton. Apparently, they have another store in CB, and she had been there the weekend prior and knew that there was a dress there that fit my description, sitting on the SALE rack, IN MY SIZE. I am a size 2, so finding a dress on sale in my size was something I thought would never be possible. As it turned out, Alyssa was heading to CB that evening, so she picked the dress up and brought it back to Sackville for me to try on. I went in again the next week, and as Tracey thought, the dress was perfect! These ladies care so much about helping brides to find their dream dresses. I would highly recommend making a stop at Alyssas Formals!

I have tried on dresses here and attending another friend’s dress hunt. Both experiences were pleasant. The salon is very clean, neat and stylish. The lady working there was friendly, knowledgeable, and polite. Even though my dress was discontinued, the lady tried extremely hard to find it for me but her efforts were sadly in vain. I would have been a customer if we had found it!

Daughter said yes to the dress for Cadets formal. Most realistic and personable staff of all the places we shopped. Prices more reasonable .. not inflated and then 'discounted' as we saw in other places.

I’m not sure where to start with this one - I guess I will start with the fact that my best friend (the bride) wrote a review on this businesses Facebook page and they got rid of all reviews instead of replying and trying to make things right. It doesn't feel right to even give them one star. Anyway... I went wedding dress shopping with my best friend at this place and the experience started with them being almost 20 minutes late, and I’m a fairly reasonable person. If they had apologized and weren’t completely rude about it, I would have understood. They said the reason for being late was that the appointment prior to ours, they started trying on bridesmaids dresses after the bride finished with her appointment. That’s not acceptable. The only question they asked the bride was when the wedding day was. They didn’t ask what she was looking for in a dress, what she didn’t want in a dress, where the wedding was (it’s a down south wedding, which is important information...) and the consultant didn’t come in with the bride half the time to see how she liked the dresses. The scent inside was very strong and the mother of the bride had to leave because of it. She was FaceTimed every time her own daughter tried on a wedding dress, but the employees never cared to acknowledge that this was because of the scented products they had plugged in even though it was mentioned right in front of one of the employees. Their website states that they pride themselves on having great customer service, which is interesting because the customer service was absolutely terrible. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be a fun and special experience, not an overwhelming and rushed one. It seemed like the workers here just wanted to get home early on a Saturday afternoon. 10/10 would not recommend this place to anyone and I’m more than happy to elaborate on any of the above comments.

Alyssa was super helpful when I was in to look at dresses! And although the wedding selection was small (I waited too long, whoops) I fell in love with a sweet dress and got some good styling tips from the staff. It was a pleasure to shop local!

staff were completely uninterested in selling us a dress and even made a few rude remarks to the teen girls I had with me. I left pissed off, and would never dream of spending a cent there. Everywhere else we went after that had excellent customer service. don't bother going to this store

I went to Alyssa's today looking for a simple dress for a beach wedding in Jamaica. The 2 women working were amazing!! They were both so friendly and helpful, not one bit pushy or stuck up like I found some other bridal boutiques to be. I had been given the impression from other stores that 4 months was hardly enough time to find a dress, they offered great suggestions and assured me that I had loads of time. I found the perfect dress! I would recommend Alyssa's to any bride to be!

Great experience! Went here for a bridesmaids dress. I called ahead to check that they had the styles and made an appointment. Even though we were only there for one dress and not the whole party, we had a great level of service and advice. Great selection. I found exactly what I wanted and it was a quick and easy process. Thanks to Tracy and the ladies for above and beyond customer service. Very attentive and helpful staff, a nice variety of colours, styles and sizes of gowns and no high pressure sales. They will also special order other sizes and colours of their gowns unlike some other local stores. Highly recommend.

First time out looking for a wedding dress, left feeling completely deflated. The only service I received was being shown to the changing room. Let me tell you trying to do up a dress all on your own is very difficult, not at all what I had expected. Certainly not what one hopes for and builds up in their heads when thinking about going to try to find the perfect dress.

It is a stressful time when you are the mother of the bride but entering Alyssa's was amazing. Tracy is knowledgeable and personable. She helped me find a dress and calmed me through all the emotions I was feeling about a wedding. Had to go back last minute for an emergency alteration and she was friendly and accommodating. Totally recommend this store. Will definitely go back

I was there for a bridal appointment and it was possibly one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I made an appointment in advance so I assumed they would be ready for me when I showed up. I was wrong. When someone finally found me, they didn't introduce themselves or ask me any questions about what I was looking for, they simply told me to browse. It was very overwhelming. When I finally picked some to try, I all of a sudden had a different consultant (who also didn't introduce themselves). As I was trying on, they weren't clear about what my options were for alterations, pricing, next steps, anything. I left very confused which is unfortunate because I did find a dress I liked, but will likely seek it out at a different store. This was supposed to be a special occasion but instead of leaving happy I left very disappointed.

Absolutely horrible experience. From the moment we arrived we felt like complete burdens. Our appointment was 20 minutes late which we wouldn't of minded if they apologized for it. But they blamed it on the appointment that was running way over their time. The scent was unreal. We couldn't breathe without coughing. My mom had to leave because it was making her cough so much. We told the staff that the scent was extremely overwhelming and they couldn't care less. I had to ask her to please unplug the glade plug ins and she did but was put off by it. It didn't even help the scent. When I was put into a room I was not asked anything about my wedding just what do you want? I felt like I wasn't important at all and frankly I felt like I was doing something wrong by being there. Clearly not at all how you want to feel when trying to find your wedding dress. Some of the dresses were the wrong sizes which is completely normal because they are sample dresses. Instead of making me feel good in a dress I was literally told to take that off, it's way too tight. She yelled over to the other staff these are all way to tight! Look for generous sizes! That's exactly what a bride wants to hear and then to be broadcasted over the store. The list goes on. She left to go answer the phone. She told me the other bride that was there had all of the dresses that I might like. Keep in mind that my mom is outside missing everything which now is the best thing that happened because she didn't have to hear how badly I was treated. I felt absolutely disgusting. We were treated horribly. I wish this never happened but unfortunately it did. I hope this honest review will help other brides.

The variety of dresses is great and they are very beautiful. Customer service was ok. I made an appointment and I still had to wait 30 minutes even though there were only 2 other customers in the store, so not very organized. No one helped me get dressed like in other bridal stores I've been (and getting in a bridal dress isn't easy). The dresses I tried on were between 1500 to 2300 so it wasn't that I was being cheap either. I wanted individualized treatment for bridal dress shopping and did not get one here

Worst customer service ever. The owner is not pleasant and only cares about the customers who are spending lots of money. I spent over $700 at their store and they had zero time to help me. It was disorganized and awful. I was so disappointed and when it was my turn to get married I stayed far away from that store. Also their seamstress that they recommend charged me $80 for alterations and half of them weren't finished properly. It was a disappointing mess. Do not go here.
