This place is gorgeous inside and the staff are real pros, but the stuff is such high quality! My overall favourite shirt in the world is their grandfather shirt, in a well chosen array of colours - comfortable, subtly different, built to last. Much more then a tourist trap - I live in town and I shop here.

My wife and I came in here to look around and were considering making a couple of purchases however some rude female staff member decided to follow us around the store like we were common criminals. To give this some context, we are a mid 50's professional couple fairly well dressed. We decided not to purchase anything and have a message to this rude sales lady - "Our combined income is likely 10 times what you make in a year sweetie. We could have bought anything in that store - we don't need to shoplift" It's too bad since this place has some nice stuff but we won't be returning.

Scored a beauty Harris Tweed flat cap from Donegal Ireland. Wasn’t cheap but it’s the kind of piece you’ll literally have forever and can pass down. Great selection for Guinness stuff as well. My only feedback is more wall decorations and higher end jewelry would be cool. Great shop.

Love this shop, full of unique and well made goods. Though in a fairly touristy town of Niagara on the lake, this shop offers quality items. I indulged in a shawl and I know I will be wearing it for years.

Great selection of quality clothing made of real wool. The jewelry doesn't seem to be as good though. Expect to pay a lot, but in my opinion it's worth it. They also have men's clothes here. It's a great place to buy a sweater.

Downtown Niagara-on-the-lake is filled with shops where you can find almost any kind of tourist treasure you want. Most is just that - tourist trap stuff you don’t really need, and much of it straight from China if you check the labels. There are a few notable different shops and Irish Design is one of them - the clothing is actually made in Ireland! Quality is great, service was good, and prices pretty decent if you find sale bargains. I picked up a nice fall/winter coat at a good price and it looks and fits great. The only problem is that we were looking for the Irish Tea Room but that apparently went out of business in the store years ago - unfortunately the websites still show it existing. I guess if you can’t get tea to warm up, buy a coat!

Really nice store. Helpful staff. I'd give it five stars if it was a larger store. They have a great sweater selection for men and women. Bought a beautiful Dale of Norway sweater there. Great savings for U.S. shoppers thanks to the exchange rate. Highly recommended.

I wanted to buy a green cable sweater for my Mom for her birthday. I called and they had a couple of sweaters which they put aside for me. The sweater I picked was a beautiful green (my mom's favourite colour). The staff there are so friendly, helpful and just overall great. One of the best customer experiences. Would recommend this store to everyone. My Mom turned 97 today and here's a pic of Mom in her sweater. The selection is incredible and not only sweaters, there are many other items. You will not regret visiting this store if you are looking for quality.

I recently bought a sweater coat from here. The quality is great, very warm and I love that it is directly from Ireland. Hard to find a good quality sweater anymore. I bought online, the website was easy to navigate and I received it nicely packaged in a fairly short time frame. I've also purchased earrings from here in the past, I wear them all the time. They are great quality and last a long time. I would buy either again, love your store!

Clothing is incredibly expensive with many pieces upwards of $500 so be prepared to spend, selection and quality is unmatched though. Great prices on drinking glasses and small items

Visited area as a day trip. Was looking for a coat sweater. No one helped me. Clerk focused on an older woman who tried on just about every sweater and as I was leaving, woman told clerk she would think about which sweater. Didn't get a sale from me or the other woman.

Great shop. Always come here when visiting Niagara on the Lake. Maureen one of the owners is absolutely lovely. She helped me choose the right cardigan. This is the fifth sweater I have purchased here. I'm still wearing all the sweaters purchased here and two are at least ten years old. These are quality items made to last. Good selection of other things from Ireland.

I visit Niagara-On-The-Lake every Summer, when u go home to Canada to visit family. My very favorite shop on the main strip is Irish Design!!! ???? Handmade knitted sweaters, scarves, coats, jewelry... I never walk out of that amazing Shop without buying a new piece of clothing!!! Very friendly and helpful staff!

The shopping experience was wonderful. So many exquisite wool clothes and other Irish products. My husband bought a jacket and a wool blanket. For me, he bought an Irish Walking Cape - Merry Christmas to me! The Walking Cape was $650.00 plus tax - pricey, but beautiful - - however, when checking on-line this morning, the EXACT same cape from the Irish Store is $375.00 plus tax. Lesson learned - Poorer but smarter. Won't go back.

Last May I came in and was so excited to see the variety of vests for men at this store. I was ready to buy my husband a $279 vest when I suddenly had the urge to use the washroom. I was about to walk in and I was stopped by and older woman who told me I couldn’t use the washroom. I really had to urinate but I wasn’t allowed to use it even with my vest ready to be purchased! I walked out and never turned back. Horrible service. How can you turn away a woman with a biological urge and need. I’ll never walk in here again Needless to say I didn’t end up buying my husbands vest. Instead I bought a wool fabric and had one custom made for same price!
