Great selection for both adults and infant. Lots of cool ideas for baby gifts. Polite and helpful staff as well. Apparently if you sign up to their mailing list they sometimes have sales.

poor customer service. in fact, there was none. quality of the goods are great. some really cute pieces but might as well shop online and avoid being treated poorly. We entered the store without any acknowledgement or smile. We still proceeded and started picking out some kids clothes on the other side of the store. One of the lady who works there then walks over and started WATCHING us with a cold stare. The way she was watching us made us feel like she needed to ensure we werent stealing. While she was watching us, we had 4 or 5 items picked out and was ready for cash out. To add to the negative expereince, the other lady who cashed us out had a very unpleasant face the entire time while she collected our payment. she did not bother talking or smiling to us... so i thought maybe thats just the way she looks. After we paid and got the bag, I turned around to see her smiling and talking to the lady who was 'watchineg' us. I would say the overall experience was very very poor. Also worth mentioning: I'm not one who writes negative reviews easily but this expereince was so bad that I will never purchase from this location again.

Edited *** I must say I'm very disappointed with Hatley in regards to this pandemic. They were not open, respectful or sincere during layoffs. I tried numerous times to get a straight answer from my manager and HR in regards to whether I'd be hired back, and instead of being honest and saying they couldn't/ wouldn't hire me back, they have obscure answers. After 6 months of no contract, I am asked for the keys back, and when I mentioned being unable to return them for several weeks due to health reasons, I'm accused of stealing them?! Very poor management/ people skills on several fronts. I would not recommend/ support this company.

I bought an umbrella there that ended up being defective. I sent an email requesting help and they went above and beyond what I would expect to get me a new one in the mail. The person at the store handled it directly and it was painless. Very impressive.

Hatley is a wonderful store. Lots of merchandise. The staff at this store are by far the very best. I recommend everyone should stop ina and see for yourself! Customer service can't be beat!

***To the Owners: I just read a few other reviews with a similar experience and each time you say that you will address it but it seems that this is an on-going issue over a lengthy period of time with your staff and location.*** My partner and I stopped by to pick up a few items for the kids as we are huge fans of your brand. When we went in, there were two customer service representatives, one an older woman (60+) and a younger woman approximately in her twenties. Please keep in mind that neither my partner nor I had any bags on us and we were both friendly and polite with the staff members. We were also the only two people in the store. I am a visible minority and my partner is Caucasian. I was followed in EVERY corner of the store by the older sales representative during the 25 minutes or so that we were in there purchasing stuff for our kids. My partner wasn’t, but I was followed everywhere I went. It wasn’t until we kept going around and picking things up to add to our purchase that we started to feel uncomfortable. Not only that, a particular item that I wanted to purchase was pointedly pointed out that it was not a sale item. We let her know that we were aware and continued shopping. Since the sales rep was continuing to trail me up and down the store, I asked her if gift boxes were available for purchase and she was very rude in explaining that “gift boxes are a thing of the past.” I didn’t really see the need to be unkind, but by then my partner and I were so fed up with her behaviour that we stopped shopping, wanted to pay for our purchases and be on our way. We’ve been to your Banff location in August and we received the best customer service, so we thought your service would be the same across the country. Needless to say, we were disappointed by this woman’s behaviour. We are happy to spend our time and money where we are treated as equals and not seen as a loss prevention measure. I am quite disappointed with her aggressive and belittling nature. I just want your company to do better in eliminating preconceived notions about customers. I was not made to feel welcome or valued.

I went to the Niagara on the lake store, went in and spend 400$, after I walked out of the store I received a email for 17% off for that day only, only to walk back in the store to be told that they don’t do price adjustments after it’s been boughten and only store credit is given if I wanted to return the items I had boughten. They need to learn something about customer service. They are a complete scam and will never be returning. Will be telling everyone to stay away from this store

Expensive but nice children's clothes , the quality is worth the money . My toddlers pyjamas look fantastic after many washes and they still look like new . Great little store in beautiful Niagara on the Lake . They have some really nice matching adult lounge wear too so the whole family can match and be comfy ????

Visited the store yesterday ..love the clothing but the staff behind the counter were too busy chitchatting versus greeting me properly and thanking me for my business. Very rude service!! Looks like I'm sharing the same experience as several other people!!!! You may want to address!!

I usually really like Hatley products. They are pricey but wear well and are adorable. However, I was very turned off by my experience there yesterday. I came with a stroller (and the store is not accessible, in spite of being a children's store). Not only are there large steps up to the door, but the floor pathways are narrow and not very easy to move through with bags or a child. These details aside, it was the service that I found most disappointing. Three staff members were inside. While entering the store, no one greeted us, let alone offered to help with the door while bringing the stroller in. My son was quiet and not at all disruptive, I was there with my mother as well. Not a single word was said to us, not "hello," no "let us know if you need a hand finding anything". Nothing. They looked over, went back to their conversations with one another. Not even a goodbye. It was so snooty and unhelpful that I'd seriously consider stepping foot in the store again. Niagara on the Lake is a tourist town and my family has a home here; with 'service' like this it's a wonder they remain open.

I was there this weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The town was so busy which was great to see after the year it has been. All the associates and who I was assuming the manager that worked yesterday were helpful and friendly. I was having the hardest time finding sizing for everyone for family pajamas but they didn't stop until they found a set that everyone could do. Very grateful.

My one star review is not a reflection of the products, rather the older saleswoman working December 28. This woman was so rude in her responses and made me feel as if she was doing me a favor cashing me out. Never again, a very off putting experience.
