Beware of poor quality!!! Bought kurta for my son. Fabric quality was soon poor that it came off the interlocking. This happened in just one day. They offered to repair it to which we declined and asked for refund as we fear the same issue and don’t want my son to feel embarrassed again wearing a torn kurta on a traditional day in school. Last but not the least customer service was poor. Current status we have returned the dress with no refund.

It's a shame that I have to write a negative review for this store because I've been going to this store for several years now. However, the store is currently under new management. I've had a very frustrating experience. I purchased material from the store and asked for it to be stitched for a wedding event. The owner misplaced the material twice and did not bother to sew my outfit for when it was required. I paid the full amount in advance (material + tailor cost). The owner was not giving me a receipt at the time of purchase saying it was not necessary, as-if it was based on an "honour system" that she would remember that I've paid in full. But, thankfully I still insisted for a receipt. Finally when I went to go pickup the clothes (which were done on the day of the event!), she told me I had to pay for the tailor cost. It's unfortunate that a business would taint their reputation and not consider honesty and customer service for a few dollars. I am never returning to this store. I can see why this store overall has negative reviews.

I'm only giving the one star rating to be able to rate them and leave a review at all. This place is by far a brides worst nightmare...Infact because of them I had many nightmares and lived one out during my wedding. I had met with Arjumand who is the woman managing this store for her mother in law who began and built this business. Arjumund is the biggest con artist I've met and made my life a living hell. My wedding was set for August 17th and I had placed my order all the way back in January. I ordered two suits from her: both my Shaadi and valima gowns. I customized one of them leaving with her reference pictures, i also drew out a picture of how it should be, we even picked out fabrics from her store (because she said they're so specific with colours). The second one I picked out from a selection she already had with the alteration that the arms will be filled with embroidery as well. Let's fast forward to AUGUST 13 ...I REPEAT AUGUST 13...4 DAYS BEFORE MY WEDDING. I was finally asked to come and in pick up my clothes. She had told me July 4th latest they'll be here.... I texted and haggled with her for months and she would either ignore my texts/calls or give me excuses. This wasn't even the worst part. When I finally went in to get my clothes the customized one was NOTHING LIKE I ASKED...NOT EVEN CLOSE..(not even like when you buy a dress from China and it comes back a crappy version of the picture...this was not even remotely close to the dress I designed). I literally broke down in tears. In all honesty no bride would have worn that dress, it was probably equivalent to something worn on eid. THIS WAS 4 days before my wedding. The second dress also of course had no embroidery on the arms like I had specified about 10 times. I also had ordered my husband's sherwani from there and arjumund "sized" him and when it came it didn't fit him even though he had lost weight? She was incredibly incompetent. I wouldn't wish this situation on my worst enemy. I was crying, having panick attacks throughout the days when I was supposed to be celebrating such a special time in my life. I honestly am not someone who leaves negative reviews, but I feel like I owe it to future brides. BRIDES PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SAD EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS. STAY AWAY FROM ARJUMAND AT ALL COSTS. I would recommend Sohos fashion located on Britannia, aunty Huma there is a gem. In those 4 days she figured out a beautiful gown for me that both fit the decor and colour scheme as well as my XL body.

This is a true one stop shop for desi clothes! The selection of clothes is unique and not to be found elsewhere in GTA! I visited many retailers before I found this place and have never looked back since.Stitched and unstitched elegant and classy, totally recommend plus the service was excellent.

My mom and sister went looking for indian styled clothing for a wedding. The lady was rude and unhelpful. Constantly following my mom around like she's going to steal something. While she was waiting in the fitting area for my sister the lady kept asking her "what do you want?" and then stood there and watched them like a hawk. Very poor customer service and cheap quality for such high prices. Go else where.

Asalam alaikum, I brought my wife here to look for clothes for Eid and we were so impressed with the selection and the service. The woman who helped us was patient, very kind and knowledgeable. She helped pick out an outfit for the both of us and Ruby did such a phenomenal stitching job. A truly talented group of women run this business. Thank you so much!

Called them and said they are open. Upon arrival they were closed and left. She said shes open till 7 and i arrived by 5:30 so well over an hour an half. Truly unprofessional. Family members have gotten stitching done from her and she charges way too much for it and does it in an improper way. Would truly reconsider before visiting again. Zero stars... Literally not even worth 1 star

My sherwani jacket had chalk marks all over it and they missed a detail I had asked, and they had agreed, to put into the design. The kurta pants had stains on them. I have to go back again. Total waste of money and time.

We were looking for different/unique styles in Chicago for my brothers wedding and a friend recommended us try this spot. We were told there is new ownership & they have made great changes and brought in a large variety & selection.The staff is very inviting and friendly, they were there to help us not just take our money. The craftsmanship and hand stitching is beautiful totally worth it ???? They did my wife’s bridal dress totally custom & she is not easily impressed ???? We loved the experience and will definitely come back for my other brothers.

I want to thank all the ladies at oriental costumes for my nikah dress. I needed something last minute and went to every boutique in the GTA for something that fits. Most places carry designer rip-offs or whatever the trend of the day. Oriental costumes has the classy/timeless bridal items. They were able to modify the dress I purchased and stitched on an additional layer underneath to make it more princessy. I went to this store 6 times in 2 weeks just to make sure the fitting, the alteration and every aspect of the dress was perfect. I really appreciated everyone, the tailors and workers. Thanks a lot aunties!!! Loved my dress!!

Its really shocking to read the comments here as i have been to botique yesterday and it was opposite of what people are saying here... But then i got to know that the management has changed and now the one who owns the botiques are real sweethearts..Trust me Wallahi they have reallly realllllyyyyyyy prettty collection Masha Allah... Good quality with desired sizes, for bridal, catual wear, for men, kids, and ladies...once u enter u get evrythng, like from dresses to jwellery, shoes, every thing for bride And Masha Allah the botique is professionally maintained, wonderful staff. RANA BAJI is a real gem????, she makes ur dream come true of bridal and party dresses. They treat us like a family member... It dint seem like yesterday was my first day. I would highly recommend brides and bridegroom to make their wedding so classy and easy by shopping here. Make sure u meet the branch manager safia... Rana is a very good lady. I wish her best to take care of this business, besides this she should educate her staff on customer service. I got a chance to see mehru worst lady ever busy counting $$$ doesn’t even care about customer their respect, making false commitment she is making with them. Yes you don’t care mehru make videos take pictures do what ever you want for more bucks but you can’t learn to educate yourself to give customers respect. If you will be in GCC trust me Arab women might have slapped you as many times to take out her frustration for what you have done with me. Somewhere you will pay for it.
