Great store to visit with many unique items from furniture to artwork to small gifts. Some items made locally and others mass produced overseas. You can tell which is which by the price tag generally. But all seem good quality and unique. Worth a drop in.

I had previously given this store a 5 star review but the last couple of times I’ve been in the staff have been beyond rude. Following me around as if I’m about to steal something. No smiles. Almost seems like they are mad I’m there. They had some nice things but it will be the last time I go as the treatment of customers is horrible. What’s worse is that the owner is one of the people who seems to be the major problem. As most people know - bad service from the top down is like a cancer. It just spreads to the rest of the staff which is exactly what seems to be happening here. Very unfortunate.

True about following customers around like they're going to steal something. I could go on but not wasting my time anymore writing this or spending my money in this store. Ps. My friends and I have travelled from Barrie to this store several times. We have purchased many things there and have spent a lot of money there over the years. They need a lesson in customer service, including the owner. They are so rude to customers, I think it would kill them to smile at people. I believe in supporting small business owners, but don’t feel like supporting this one anymore. Today while we were there, one of the sales staff continued to follow us around the store for over half an hour. Creeping up behind us every 2 minutes like we were common criminals. They should take some lessons from the staff at Pebble Tree across the street, so nice!! I will no longer shop here and I will not recommend my friends and family to either. Shame on you Simply Country.

Unbelievably rude and somewhat creepy customer service. My mother brought my partner and I in for our first time Tuesday July 9th 2019 in the afternoon for a browse at the downtown Midland ON location. As soon as we were spotted, the salesperson proceeded to intensely stare at us with quite an extreme look of judgement and disappointment everytime we were in her field of vision... as we left the backmost room which contains mostly tables, the salesperson rushed to it and had a look around and quickly rushed back. The salesperson in question is a middle-age woman, shoulder length dark brown hair... and bulging eyes. We thought maybe we were being discriminated against because of our masculine gender, or sexual orientation, or typecasted as thieves because of our younger age... But seeing all these other reviews, it's obviously a case of horrid customer service due to greed and fear based living. Remember you're voting with your money and time, please spend it somewhere that truly has relevant meaning in the world today and that you wish to support.

I bought several pieces of furniture there, got a 5% discount card and when returning there to use the card (I had $300 to use) the service was rude and not very pleasant, their happy to sell their new products but not too happy to when you come back with the $$$ to use on the discount card.

Some staff need accessibility training. We entered the store to look around as I heard about it on the radio while driving in the area. . My husband has dementia and he needed to sit . The salesperson who was following us around and kept asking what we were looking for told us there were benches outside.....1/2 block away and in the blazing sun. Another sales person came outside after we left to say he could sit in the store but by then I didn't want to spend my money here. Why advertise on the radio when you are not interested in serving all customers.

I love this store and frequent it often, with usually great customer service. Today was a different experience though, for the first time ever in this store I felt I was not worthy of their time. While cashing out I attempted on two occasions to discuss another store product I was interested in and was ignored by the employee ringing me through as she was too occupied talking with the customer ahead of me who had already finished her transaction. This was terrible customer service and such a disappointment. I am treated better at Wal-Mart, which is pretty sad.
